SPLATOON 2: 4 YEARS LATER

2017. the year 2017 was a great year for nintendo fans with the release of the brand new nintendo switch we had a pretty decent lineup at launch especially with the release of breath of the wild but some of us were on the edge of our seats for another game splatoon 2. on the blessed day of july um 21st 2017 splatoon 2 was released to the world thanks to years worth of content and dlc the game's a lot different today than it was back then so to celebrate its fourth birthday let's take a look at the 2021 splatoon 2 experience truly i've got a screenshot of what my gear used to look like okay so this is the only screenshot i can find where i have my gear it just happens to be this one level 23 a minus tower control that's crazy man i can't believe that okay so this was four years ago let's take a look at what my gear looks like today check that out look at that man i look so good i love this outfit so much i know it's not what everybody's used to seeing me wearing but i love this so much okay the reason i even picked this gear actually mostly was because i wanted gear for nautilus that's right i'm a nautilus mane i know what you guys are thinking oh but trust me it's a great weapon nautilus is actually like one of my favorite weapons i used to main splattershot a whole lot but i've moved on to nautilus and i will prove to you that nautilus is good because we're going right into ranked so i've actually been streaming splatoon 2 every single week on twitch if you're not following me on twitch by the way make sure you do it but i've been trying to get top 500 in x-rank and that's really hard to do you need a really high x power as you can see i don't it's fine because i'm taking baby steps to get better and i am actually very satisfied with my progress check this out i should re-watch my i hate videos i wonder how they hold up nowadays but uh okay that was really upsetting but nautilus is great it paints really good super good weapon for painting and not to mention it kills people best part about nautilus is being able to hold your charge so you can do surprise attacks like this but see i don't actually know what just happened just then wait wait for it no i shouldn't have jumped right in front of him i was miles from it let me tell you something that's been consistent over the four years that i've been playing this game i have nearly 2 000 hours in splatoon 2 okay that's not a flex that's a guilty admission in all of those 2000 hours you would think i've seen a lot of stuff every day that i play this game i am amazed at how absolutely cruel this game can be and i think if i played this game for 2 000 more hours i would be just as amazed look at this guy look at this guy thinks he's funny i'm you know what i got a personal vendetta against this dude i'm gonna kill him okay if he jumps off the map i guess none of us are gonna kill him oh we had a disconnect that's really nice you know what you know what i'm not gonna say anything about it it doesn't matter this is my first ranked game of today okay i think we have a chance at winning this 3v4 i think maybe not but i'm gonna try anyway see what happens who's shooting me back here hold on i can kill him got him there you go first confirmed kill of the day with the with the inkjet hopefully okay here we go are we actually doing this we're gonna actually try i mean i guess we don't have a choice right what else are we gonna do sit here and lose which actually seems like a very appealing option at this point just hey he's not playing hey this is great it's a 3v4 now we have a chance and i still suck hi how's it going hey nice to meet you yeah it's a pleasure i need to grab it i need to get it get it okay here we go go go go go go go go we could still win we could still win dude we can't win we there's no way there's no way bro oh come on that would have been so funny if they carried it into their base and then we grabbed it and got the lead but you know what splatoon is a cruel and unforgiving thing okay hopefully we have a fair matchup this time we have all four of our teammates and everything will go smoothly and perfect and we have two naughty eye on oh there's a top 500 on the other team that's great cool the nautilus is still alive though and he's probably the one we need to watch out for go go go go ignore him ignore him and go ignore him and go just go just go just go ah okay oh they waved them no guys you can win this oh my god they're right there dude they're right there we got the lead this is still winnable this is still 100 winnable dude we wiped them again this is nuts how is this happening he can't move ggs what just happened i'm telling you man take the rainmaker and go it works every time wow i uh that completely went the opposite of how i was expecting give me fat points for that 31 points baby 2200 oh my god i never thought i the chances of us winning that were so unlikely i don't know how we won that i didn't deserve that if i'm being honest but i'll take it i'm gonna use my special go get him inkjet shoot him blow him up got him only took me like five shots but but i got him eventually what are you gonna do come get me oh shoot actually they're trying to flank to get me this is not ending well you know what this flank isn't working i'm leaving oh they have the rainmaker oh i wish he would i wish you would bro i wish you would come on 1v1 me rainmaker let's see what you got that's not a 1v1 you can't bring your friends i said no friend oh really all right watch this i will take out the rainmaker myself i will do it oh hello oh you're a little sploos first off oh really how do you make it look so easy dude probably not a good time to push but you know what you only live once right okay and we was dog at this game when did when did that start huh the neck nice ggs there we go see we're on a winning streak now yes two does count as a winning streak technically don't give me that oh only one two games you think you're that good i am that good i got nine kills which is the least on my team but that doesn't matter kills don't matter points matter and i got 17 baby eat my ink wow that really hurt i didn't think that was gonna kill us oh he's gonna kill you rainmaker he's definitely gonna kill you unless unless weatherman protects you which i don't know maybe he'll tell you if it's going to rain oh no okay he's dead uh they're getting closer and closer to 20 and if they get 20 then we lose the lead oh no not in my house that deserves a boo yeah you guys get a booyah for that yeah you yeah that's for you rainmaker that's for you hey do me a favor focus on carrying the rainmaker instead of looking for the booyah button i'd appreciate that a lot and don't get me wrong communication is important but don't lose that's also important also stop him stop him stop him stop him got him there you go thank god my team has me okay let's just go with it uh oh yes no i tried so hard to avoid him man the emotions it's just a roller coaster with this game huh there we go they thought they could just walk in here and win well they can't geez i love talking trash in this game because it's it it's almost always immediately followed up by me dying all right here we go oh we have mpu bamboo one of the most dangerous things as of late if you put a bunch of main power up on a bamboo you can i think you can one tap people with the bamboozler and that's probably the most terrifying thing right team we're already off to a bad start but we can save this no oh there it is oh the one tap bamboo look at all the main power up oh it hurts so bad i hate it so much oh the blaster he's chasing you down hold on i'm here to help i think i'm too late get him got him i protected you you're welcome kill the bamboo kill him kill him kill him he's the most dangerous asset they have dang it okay i stopped the bamboo but i didn't kill the rainmaker go rainmaker go you guys don't need me don't go that way use the path that your teammate made for you i'm coming i gotta help this guy go go go go go go go no oh if i were using splattershot it'd be a different story dude that guy would have been dead oh yes he got the kill surprise the rainmaker is mine no get the lead dude you're right there stop backing up put it in drive dude put it in drive and go step on the gas this sucks oh we have a minute left is that enough time to bring this game back i don't know oh come on oh man you know what i had to fall from grace you can't win them all i say that all the time because i lose a lot but you can't win them all please don't take away too many points i think i did good 22 22 points all right this game officially sucks now i don't want to do this anymore the modes changed and um so i figured the best way to finish this video off the best way to truly show the 2021 splatoon 2 experience is to play clam blitz oh shoot i'm here i was just checking making sure i was still recording which is obviously the priority here um that sounded sarcastic i mean it like that is definitely the priority otherwise this would be for nothing you could say it would be for naught get it approach so i'm really good with these call-outs got to tell my team exactly what's going on they can't hear a damn word of it but i feel like if i say it it helps somehow kill this guy kill this fool did five points that's all we get you know i don't normally use a nautilus for clamblets i usually use fluttershot because you know collecting clams and everything you got to be fast but i just i just i don't know man i'm some something's in the air today because i'm feeling real nice with this nautilus right now and jeans is on team blue so they're blue jeans y'all i'm on to something right now hold up shoot i might not live okay blow him up yes take that dark attention dooley's come on team i can trust you guys right no awesome well done okay no problem it's salvageable we just lost the lead come on y'all what even killed me why would you go this way dude you know they're gonna follow you and kill you now i have no ink and i are you serious i'm doing so bad this round i'm gonna cost us a victory with my stupidity with my moronity is that a word i had to invent a new term to accurately describe how literally dumb i am i gotta set my game up bro i can't be losing i can't be losing out here on camera you imagine how embarrassing that'd be okay here we go baby here we go it's not gonna shoot come on guys score score put them in throw them in oh my god that was the most insane
