welcome back to car cam tutorial today we are going to sketch the beautiful engine it is a concept a kind of concept engine so we will see how to sketch in SolidWorks I hope you will enjoy this tutorial so let's start now we are going to start our first part lower case for piston assembly so let's start choose front plane a sketch select circle and draw two circles from origin point now keep diameter outer 150 mm and either inner 134 mm okay now select a line and draw one line from top to bottom exit choose trim entity and delete unnecessary lines okay now select extruded boss d1 keep 20 mm and direction to keep 5 mm only okay now again choose front plane sketch select normal draw a circle from origin point and keep diameter 145 mm okay now select a line draw a line from here to this point exit again choose a line and start to draw from this point to now exit assign length 52mm 65 mm okay choose line and draw one vertical line up to here now select trim entities and we want to trim some things here trim this portion inside this line okay now select center point are drawn rectangle okay now exit now this geometry we created select extruded boss select this select only 5mm reverse direction select okay now see the lowercase first part is created now choose front plane go to reference geometry choose plane we want to create one plane for just making mirror make 40mm flip side select okay now select mirror and choose body this plane already selected and this unmerge solid okay now see this created select this face is sketch select normal two times okay we want this face choose a circle and draw one circle up to this sub surface choose a line and draw from this end to here then then up to here now exit now assign dimension five mm okay now select this point and this line point make horizontal both in same position okay again choose circle and drawn circle from origin point up to this point okay select women treaties and trim this unnecessary outer line just undo create one node line here okay because we don't want to delete these two lines not select rip delete these two lines select delete inside line also okay now select extruded boss and select here up to surface choose this opposite surface okay now see the part is almost ready lower case is ready now had this plane save as lowercase now we are going to make second part of engine crankshaft so choose front plane a sketch select circle and draw one circle tip diameter 34 mm okay now select extruded boss keep 25 mm length okay now again choose front plane sketch draw a circle and keep diameter 38 mm and select extruded boss keep length only 8mm and choose reverse direct direction okay now select backside a sketch now choose three-point arc select center point of draw from origin point and up to here now exit now select first select both the ends and make horizontal now to smart dimension and keep length 88mm and keep radius 46mm okay now select circle and draw one circle and keep diameter 42 mm and distance from origin point tip 25 mm now here choose three point R and draw 2 R from this point to this point the same as opposite direction okay now select this all three points select this two first make tangent select this one and this line tangent okay okay now sign dimension keep radius 90 mm this side also keep 90 mm okay now select this point and foraging same direction choose trim entities trim inside point okay now select excluded boss and extrude up to 12 mm okay now select this face sketch normal draw one circle keep diameter 32mm and distance from origin point 25 mm okay and both these end points become same vertical now select extruded boss select 15 mm okay now we want to mirror this part so select mirror about this plane and choose body select okay now see it is become mirror so now save it crankshaft and we will assign some color okay now go for next part now third part crank rod we are going to sketch so select front plane sketch now select circles and draw four circles one two circles from origin point - from upper side and assigned dimension 42mm 32mm 25 mm 12.5 mm now distance 120 mm okay now this center point and this center point vertical okay select extruded boss choose 20 mm mid plane select okay now select front plane sketch select normal select this circle hold Shift key this circle click convert entities now both circle converted choose a line drawn line again draw a line vertical line exit again draw draw a line now exit select this line for construction the assigned distance between these two lines hmmm choose trim entities trim this outer part now assign this distance 35 mm okay now choose tangent and draw an arc from this point to this now exit now select this point and this Vechten Junt this already here tangent okay choose mirror entity select this point this point and mirror about select this line okay choose trim entities select delete outer part here also delete this outer circle okay now select extruded boss select problem and choose mid-play select okay now see the crank rod body almost ready now to front plane a sketch normal drawn centerline from top to bottom now exit now we want to create one line so draw fro select this line click convert entities now draw a line up to this line now exit choose this distance 5mm okay now select mirror select this line and mirror about this line okay now connect this both the lines now assigned distance tip 12.5 mm okay select this line this line and this line makes every trick okay choose trim entities trim this outer circle okay now again choose line first select this outer circle convert entities now choose a line up to here now exit select dimension keep length 12 mm okay choose mirror entity select this line and mirror about this line okay now select line and connect both the lines now exit select distance 34 mm okay now select these three lines separately and click symmetric now it is symmetric okay choose trim entities and delete this outer part unnecessary okay now select extruded boss and choose here this face this face this face this face select midplane 211 okay now choose fill it 1.5 mm okay again choose phillyd 1.5 mm select okay now select right plane go to reference geometry choose plane and we want to create one plane up to 6 mm only okay now select this plane this sketch normal now select a straight slot and draw one slot here now assigned dimension keep radius 4mm and that is 62 mm the length drawn centerline okay now as defined distance from tip 20 mm okay now select sorry select extruded cut choose reverse direction extrude all okay now select right plane mirror and select this cutout okay now add this plane see our crankshaft crank rod is ready or so just save it can anchor and assign the color where'd our killer okay now save it now go for next part now we will sketch next part piston piston head so select front plane is sketch choose line and draw one line now exit now sign distance 62.5 25 you 41.5 now select now exit now define distance two point five 2.5 three mmm five mm okay now select this distance this line this line equal this line also equal okay now select this line this line equal 2.5 mm this one 3 mm now select three-point arc turning from here to this point and assign radius forty okay now select this all geometry choose offset entities - mmm reverse direction select okay now select extended entities select this line and here also this line now choose trim entities not leave these portions yes select okay now to reward Oh boss base choose this line as axis okay now on piston body is ready almost mr. head choose front plane sketch normal groan line from here to here exit select this line hold shift click origin point and this line make midpoint drawn centerline exit now assigned distance keep 10mm this line keep 38mm now select three-point arc and draw from one end to this end and this is Centrepointe okay now select extruded cut choose midplane and select through all okay now see it is cut now again choose front plain a sketch normal nor draw a circle and distance from this point to this join select this line for construction 32mm and keep diameter 12.5 mm okay this point and origin in same direction same line select extruded cut extruded cut choose red plane okay now it is cut now again choose front plane sketch normally select this circle convert entities now again choose circle and draw one circle just small bigger than this 14.5 now select extruded boss and choose here up to next cancel it just can delete this job exit and delete delete this better now choose front plane and choose plane and we want to keep one plane color okay now select this plane sketch normal this line convert entities circle 14.5 mmm now select extruded boss and choose up to next okay now see now select front plane mirror this inside okay now see they're a ready select this portion delete and select extruded boss okay now had this plane now you can see see this is the path for pin now save this piston say Valen dark color but not much that much or better save blooper okay now save it piston okay now we will go for next part now we will sketch gudgeon pin for piston so select right plain sketch draw two circles from origin point outer diameter keep 12.5 mm and inside 7.5 mm now select extruded boss extrude up to 50 mm okay now to fill it point five select this face this face okay or pin make red save as virgin pin this is gaijin pin now go for next part now we are going to sketch lower part of upper part of this engine so choose top plane a sketch draw a circle select the line okay now assign distance keep diameter 50mm 12 mm and this one 37 arrow okay now drawn centerline exit choose mirror entity select this part this part and mirror about this line okay this one no need to define now choose corner radius 10mm yes yes select okay now select trim entities trim this outer radius okay now select extruded boss 110mm okay now select this face is sketch normal and select convert entity this whole phase we want to convert it then choose offset entities p4mm okay now select a line disconnect from this and exit again choose line and connect from this end exit now to stream entities select this delete this outer line okay now select extruded boss choose this portion reverse direction 3mm only okay now we want to we are going to make a fins so choose linear pattern this as axis reverse direction we want 17 numbers and keep six distance select okay now see the fins are created so this is our upper part is ready now I find some color okay now same as upper part upper case okay now let's start the assembly now we are going to start assembly of engine so let's start choose new select assembly okay now browse the parts this six parts of piston select all choose ok now one by one each and every part will come here now select this body right-click and fix the other part we will move right click this float now select this hand met listen okay now select this bottom end and this end okay this line and this line okay now we will assemble the piston here select this inside circle and this side circle okay select this circle and inside okay top surface and this piston wall okay now select inside this wall and pistol okay now piston will move inside select this one and this okay yes now our engine section view is ready now see how the piston moving or you can rotate this see the piston engine moving up and down so this is the simple concept of engine how the Graham shaft will move the piston I hope you enjoyed this tutorial don't forget to share and like our videos and projects thanks for watching you
