yo what's up everybody it's your boy jb with jb's bbq and guns coming at y'all again today with another video today's video we're gonna be doing smoked snow crab but before we get into all of that if you're new to my channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button and the bell next to it so you don't miss any uploads in the near future all right y'all so the first thing that we're going to do okay we're going to make a little mixture to dunk these um snow crab in okay as kind of uh i guess you can call it a little seafood marinade before we put them out there on the pit and it's real simple all right so right here i got about two and a half or three sticks of butter melted okay right here and so what i'm gonna do i'm gonna take some of these uh crawfish and crab seafood boil stuff and i ain't going to put too much in okay because it's real concentrated so maybe about a teaspoon or so that's good right there all right about a teaspoon or so in there like that then all i'm going to do is i'm going to take some of this i'm going to take some of this cajun rub that i made up last night and it's real simple to do i'll put the ingredients in the description so i'll go ahead and put a few tablespoons of that in there and it tastes like old bay i ain't even gonna lie it tastes just like old bay two tablespoons of that and i'll put a maybe a teaspoon so tablespoon or so of parsley in there some dried parsley all right all right so let's go ahead and get this stirred up a little bit yep you can smell it and get it stirred up a little bit all right so the last thing i want to do is i want to take the juice from about one and a half lemons and squirt it into this mixture all right just like that all right make sure you get all over there now all right that's one and take another one yup just like that oh let me squirt in my damn eye yo all right and let's take about another half one and squirt it in there okay and that'll be good all right that's good enough time for that let's go ahead and put some more of this cage of season in there another tablespoon or so all right so let's go ahead and get this all mixed up all right all right so now what we're going to do we're going to pour it into this pan and we're going to dump these uh snow crab into this mixture and then transfer it over here all right already got the fire and everything going out there trying to get the coals all lit up all right so let's pour this into this foil pan right here oh yeah that's plenty yup that's gonna be all right y'all all right so as you can see i'm wearing um rubber gloves because i have an allergy to shellfish so i'm trying to protect myself i'm just cooking this for my family okay i'm not gonna eat it all right let's go ahead and dunk this now like that fold it just like this all right and then we'll transfer it over to this pan right here so we'll i'll just go ahead and do all of these like that and then i'll see you all probably outside at the pit two okay so before we go out there to the pit we're going to go ahead and sprinkle these crabs with some of this uh cajun seasoning that we mixed up last night so not only do we got on marinating in this uh kind of butter sauce i guess you could say but we're gonna go ahead and uh coat them with some of this cajun seasoning right here should be pretty good i'm not gonna be the one to tell you my wife is probably gonna be the one to tell you if it's good or not but i think it's going to be pretty good but we'll get these seasoned up over here that's in the pan all right definitely going to get on there liberally turn these over we're trying to be delicate with it so i don't break the legs off but one already came off earlier but that's okay here's what it is right all right just turn these i'm gonna get over all seasoned up and then i'll see y'all out at the pit for real this time all right y'all we out here at the pit and we're going to go ahead and put these uh snow crab legs on the pit but it's sitting right at right at 250 degrees okay this could should take about 30 minutes but what we're going to do after about the 15 minute mark we're going to come back out here and we're going to baste them with some of that butter sauce so let's go ahead and put them on there let's see the smoke rolling i'm using a combination of pecan and apple wood should be pretty good let's go ahead and put them on there there's no right or wrong way just throw them on there okay this is my first time ever doing something like this but hey we're gonna make it happen right you gonna get them on there and let it do what to do all right so we got these crab legs all situated on there we'll see y'all in about 15 minutes all right y'all we're back out here at the pit 19 y'all it smells good out here man so i'm gonna go ahead and open this thing up and as you can see we're sitting right at about 250 and what we're going to do we're going to baste them with this uh butter mixture right here so go ahead and open this up man so y'all can see what's going on you see they're starting to get a a good color in there see that that's what you want to see so we're going to go ahead and quickly go ahead and and get this stuff basted it's a little bit like that just a little dab on the leg and i use a mop because i just like using mop and in texas we use mops so there you go it's just easy it's an easy application man so if you don't have a a mopping brush you might want to invest in one of these good stuff let me open up the other side so i can get this these other crabs over here yeah although i'm not going to eat it i'm going to tell y'all now it smells good real good and it's just to ensure that these crabs don't dry out on you okay so you kind of want to keep them more like just like everything else that you cook you know you don't want them to get uh dry because they will you know in this in this pit right here so i'm gonna go ahead and keep basting these and then i'll see y'all out here in about another 15 minutes when they get done all right y'all it's been about 30 35 minutes and i think these crab legs are done so we're gonna go ahead and uh take them over here man they they smell good man i'm too bad i can't eat but they smell really good it smells awesome so i'm just go ahead and transfer them into this pan and i'll meet y'all at the table where my wife is going to taste test them oh look at that yo look at that all right y'all we're finally finished i'll tell y'all these damn crabs smell good too bad i can't eat it but my wife mrs barbecue and guns is gonna uh take one out and crack it open or however you do it and she gonna taste it and tell y'all how these things taste i'm nervous y'all i'm nervous let's see what we have i like the middle legs the most okay try a middle leg first okay this is the middle leg i have no idea all this seafood talk i have no idea all right all right y'all let's see i'm nervous okay let's see let's get a close-up of it so meat is done okay okay we're done now right now okay all right so smells good smells smoky all right and that that butter sauce up she just likes it with butter and uh lemon juice in it yes that way i can taste the full flavor of the meat okay all right i am ready all right here we go yo yes yes what what these are delicious so do you not like the steaming mm-hmm the steaming process kind of takes away the flavor these are full of flavor really they're not dry okay good so uh do you get like the the um the rub that was on that they go jamie y'all did you get the rub that was on there the lemon or what are you getting you get a little bit of everything oh sweet sweet i mean it is really flavorful wait a minute jameer jameer he wants something yo you want to try some jamie so we're going to let jamir try something yo say what's up jamir what's up your brave boy jamir so jamir this is what you're gonna do yes i'm gonna dip this and then you're gonna bite it off okay okay all right let's see what jamir thinks about and then it the top part let's see suck it off don't bite the shell there you go it's good [Laughter] it really is it's delicious all right y'all so there you have it okay one and two just gave y'all the update it's pretty good my first time ever doing something like this and i'm pretty proud of myself all right so the next time you want to do some
