what's going on guys so we are still out here at Roa off-road at their experience center it's just south of Salt Lake City Utah absolutely beautiful backdrop and we are surrounded by all of these super cool super capable off-road towable travel trailers and they got a bunch of them and you can probably see some more back there we've reviewed and showcased all of the units back here which is quite a few so if you haven't had a chance definitely check out not only their Channel but of course check out my channel for the different views that we've done they have some really in-depth videos on all of this stuff in your YouTube channel it's Roa off-road or RVs of America [Music] foreign [Music] perfect so yeah check them out subscribe because they they spend a lot of time creating some really awesome video content on all of the units that they have but today we're going to look at this really really cool product in front of us this is actually uh this is a really compact unit but boy are these things built insanely well and designed to be basically Traverse more than what you're going to tow it with so you could hook up your truck to this your Jeep to this and you're probably going to find out that your Jeep won't be able to go to places that this would be able to go am I saying all that right Shane depends on the Jeep right yeah I suppose when I say pickup trucks I know that that's a limiting that's for sure Jeeps you know people you know don't want to offend any Jeep owners but they like to what about Broncos the new Broncos for sure this will outdo the Broncos no offense I need to find a Ford lover to see if they agree I'm not I'm not I'm not against Sports I think they're great products um but Jeeps you know they're they're made you know everybody put their purpose Built For This 44 inch tires lifts we have a Jeep fanatic here and he would he would yeah love to demonstrate that right right exactly so real quick I got Shane here he is one of the owners of Roa off-road and you know can you kind of give us a good walk through front to back and then the inside of what uh what we're looking at in front of us yeah so this is this is a new totally new to America uh this is the the company is Imperial Outdoors they've been making trailers for 15 years but this is there's almost nothing on the market in the United States like this now if you go to Australia you might be able to find some things like this AKA brooders or zones but in America this is to me a Monumental moment um Imperial Outdoors has made the new Explorer and this is the x145 uh so before 145 or 14.5 the box is about 14 and a half feet so that's what you can remember that all the walls are full Composites they're about three inches thick oh wow that is a hard sounding wall right there it is there's there's nothing that's there's it's not Hollow that's it's a high density foam board the the thing that makes these trailers unique from almost anything else out of on the market is that they're designed to go to 40 below zero or over 100 degrees and be comfortable completely off grid 740 watts of solar on the roof on this guy oh my gosh at a thousand eighty up to a thousand eighty amp hours of lithium batteries that's insane man that that really is because up until then you you're you know if you travel your typical RV lot and you see your typical off-road inspired RVs they come with the standard you know maybe an AGM battery most time they don't um maybe they might have one lithium-ion phosphate battery but most of the times they won't they might have a torsion suspension or maybe even the newer uh the newer multi-link suspension that you can get on What's That Brand we've been talking about um Amber yeah Amber um but in most cases it'll be a leaf sprung and they'll put some fancy looking fake rock sliders faux sliders going down the side of them and other little things but this is the real deal isn't it no this is the real deal and the the trailer is it's unbelievable with the composite material that they're using it's super strong but also very light uh this trailer depending on how you option it there's some options between batteries and solar arrays you can get it anywhere from 4 000 to 4 500 pounds oh wow and it's a full size you can stand up yeah it's a Tall trailer too it's not super low profile yeah it's sitting on a uh Cruise Master suspension and he Imports this in from Australia they're airbags so you can Level side to side um you have the gas shocks with reservoirs so you know when you hit those washboards it's gonna hold up to that you know that's usually when you have shock failures the washboards it heats up with the res before that prevents it the the brakes are disc electric over hydraulic disc brakes Wow have you ever seen disc brakes on a trailer yeah you see them on some high-end fifth wheels but not on not on bumper towables yeah not not usually right uh you can see the departures on this is phenomenal you have a lot of cargo space the inverter you have a 2000 watt inverter and with that 1080 amp hours of battery you can almost power or anything uh you got a little Outlet here storage box back here um everything's lockable good seal too on it a spare tire these are this this back area can be optioned to different things you have this also this uh 270 awning like two dollars on the back you see that it wraps all the way around and real quick a lot of people may not see this but this tire does drop down it is on a mount so the mount does swing down out of the way and you do have the shackles down there as well yep exactly and we actually I got in an issue where I had to recover myself backwards I tried to run my ram my truck through a snow wall you know and I got stuck in the middle of it and so the guy grabbed me the truck and the trailer from one of these d-rings and Yanks the whole thing backwards right uh these These are jockey will come from Australia that's an arc and it's rated for just under 2 000 pounds so just one leg and you have four of them so that will lift the entire trailer uh it comes standard with the truma and it's the Eco Plus this has a wet Bay in here not a list panel yeah and yeah you have the Nautilus right there the P4 with an outside shower and then this is your uh Cruise Master suspension and this remote you can control your suspension side to side oh wow and air air up air down um you also have an airport here and then your pump with your PSI right there so it's a big deal if you're off-roading and you have to air down your tires a way to refill your tires if you have to change your tire if you get a flat you need to just try to get out of there a lot of great reasons to have onboard air oh yeah oh hold on hold on my goodness look at that door look how thick that is that's insane and this is that board you're talking about so your typical thick baggage door on like a drv is like that thick yeah this thing is that is crazy he's closing this and I'm like well oh my goodness and look at this this is a triple seal yeah you have one there one here and one there so fills up with a cam lock and that sucks it in oh that is so cool yeah very and then you have a if 740 watts is not enough it comes with a port right here where you can add some soups yeah and then of course your 30 amp and also a pass-through storage and there are lights in there man that is lined so nice just this whole thing and shoot you can even see some some of the wooden board right there some very thick plywood yeah it's all real wood you'll see inside so storage right there that's pretty deep that rear cargo box that we passed by that's actually he designed that to fit a 2200 watt Honda so it won't work perfectly in that back box you have some volley panels um and these so you can mount stuff on it up here you have a t-track uh this you can actually Mount things along here this is an aluminum and it runs all the way up the front nose oh yeah and along the whole roof so really important not to get too much detail but the actual rack up there that the solar panels sit on they're actually mounted to this t-track so they're not right they're all elevated off and that's one of the most efficient ways to actually run solar some people will put the solar panels right on the roof and the heat it Heats it up and they're not as efficient this gives you like about an almost an inch to two inches gap of air yeah so they can cool down and the solar panel pretty cool yeah and this is this this is uh this is a there's actually a two uh bike mount up Mount that you can park two mountain bikes up on there very cool I love the light bar you have way up there as well yeah and you can stand on these and use these as ladders to get to the top propane goes in here I'm guessing no the this is actually uh just a storage space Oh wow um the stairs are actually going here you can put the stairs for the front door oh there's your uh controller for your brakes yep very nice on cans and that may not seem like a lot but with this so I've had this trailer sitting out in front of my house one of these for going on almost two weeks off of two propane tanks oh wow it's bad because it's so efficient inside right yeah for heat yeah yeah because it's so well insulated and that's almost uh and it's been in the single digits during the night a lot so there's your other side very nice guys so these are the stairs that they actually get mounted inside there and these are you can extend the legs right here very cool there's a pin that goes in there that purely so obviously before we go inside a lot of the components here they have to all be custom made so when you see a lot of RVs at dealerships it's a universal part that's just on everyone like the Lippert solid steps or the step aboves or you know your tongue jacks or different things that you just see on every single RV regardless of the brand but these steps are custom made these are custom to this RV which means if they're not likely building them in huge quantities so if you wonder when we get to the pricing this thing why the pricing is where it's at it's because of things like this this step probably is three times as much as a solid step oh yeah absolutely and then and the same thing with it's the steps but also the Composites right this material for the walls that they use is going to be over 10 times more expensive than a standard RV wall and the trailer is not going to be 10 times more typically but you do pay for quality for sure um really cool door very nice door that's a very I I'm going to say Airline or nautical boat marine style door but very nice insulated it's insulated the actual window in it is also dual pane window and then you have your night shape very cool now this is a cool interior check this out absolutely beautiful yeah this is a very very nice um the the latches down here they're actual metal heard from Europe a European latch um and it latches in here to the metal this wood it's uh similar to a birch a solid wood this is all real wood oh yeah very very light that walks in uh induction yeah they're all hidden all these latches see that oh yeah you have a that's the sink because under there so it could be one down one down oh yeah I see that that's cool oh that is cool yeah these latches are you know when somebody buys one of these you have to explain to them how these latches work don't you because yeah it's so simple but you basically put your hand under the groove and you pull in like this and it unlatches it so at first I'm like I'm feeling around like what do you grab that is so cool and it's just so funny it's the details that people don't realize when you're spending you know 10 or 15 dollars for a latch it costs well it costs 10. yeah that's right it costs 10 times more than what most of the other latches or more than that even yeah no it does especially and all this is real wood with a veneer on it uh we've been this is one of our guys at the facility and it gets used it's uh we use we use our campers so uh coming over here I want to show you these light switches they're really cool uh have a has a backlit and then you can actually turn these on and if you press and hold them they actually do they dim yeah so you can oh yeah I see that one dimming right there yeah and then you can turn them all on by pressing this or you can turn them all off by double doing those double Taps that's so cool yeah very nice uh this this this this trailer is going to be ideal for a couple uh not uh it's because it really only sleeps two yeah it has a full size and it's an East and West bed but I want to show you under the bed actually before we go I'm sure before you go into the bathroom because this is very cool things about it oh my gosh check this out that is one heck of a battery setup yeah now you can option this in different stages stage one two or three this is stage three obviously which is the 1080 amp hours of lithium you have the two solar arrays and they're separate arrays so if one goes out you have a secondary and then you have all of your uh you have a secondary charging system because this go power inverter charger works as a charger but you know they live in such cold climates that he has a secondary and that's a converter so you can plug in and it will operate everything off of shore power and bypass yeah this that's how we ended up setting up ourselves so that's a very efficient way to run it yeah especially if you were ever to you know if these get under freezing temps sometimes they have a hard time turning on right they'll shut down for protection and that's a way to you know have a secondary yeah like and all your water Power Systems there great it's a lot of doors lots of doors for such a small trailer only 14 feet yeah it's got a lot of room in here okay what am I looking at right here real quick so this is a refrigerator this is an isotherm refrigerator this is a an Italian company wow uh these these you're gonna see in a million dollar you know multi-million dollar yachts so this is primary is primarily came out of the yachting industry uh very very efficient All Pure 12 volt as well and uh you're gonna 45 over 45 degree angle of it walking shaking it's made for boats right all um above your head right here we have a true 12 volt air conditioning so automatic so you know what's funny though this is like the only product I've seen in here that you typically I'm not even gonna say you don't typically see this in an RV it's just the brand Dometic yeah that's it like but I've never seen this air conditioning unit in an RV before yeah it's usually van life right yeah there's people that do this the nice thing is because it's so well insulated it actually is it's only 6800 BTUs but that's all you need because it's small and very well insulated yeah exactly you have these wonderful Windows absolutely love the acrylic dual pane windows with the shades that roll up and down so you have your Nightshade and then your day shade right here they attach together and then you can adjust these however you want and then when it's open you can simply pop that out and tilt it out and it locks in place super super cool little Bluetooth speaker yep Take It Outside with you okay I'm gonna step into the shower so I can see what's going on here okay so I'm back into the shower give me an idea of what's going on in the bathroom here nice little buttons right here that turning on and off these lights uh of course you have a max air vent fan uh and then of course all tons of your tons of cabinet space too throughout here as well close but amount all the way down that one's just like that this is the side one you can throw in toilet papers uh this is called a lavio or a dry flush toilet um and that like it's it actually sucks up vacuum seals and tightens the whatever your stuff you put down there if you know what I'm saying yes I do uh and then this right here uh obviously when the door shuts you have uh this toilet paper roll you have a good amount of space once yeah oh it's a good size it's a good sized bathroom and you'll see why I say squeeze but then you'll see what they do okay so the entrance isn't very wide you're probably going to want to step in sideways but or shimmy and it's not it's not very wide it's probably a foot and a half wide but then once you're in check it out it like really opens up they put a nice seat inside there it's sealed all the way around again nice shower sprayer up top also on a slide bar and then you have a teak floor yeah see I'll go in there really quick and show you because I'm six feet tall and I'm not hitting the ceiling I'm close though but if I were to you know drop some soap I could bend down and grab it or sit down here and it's very comfortable yeah um the the heating and cooling system is that the truma and it's the the Eco uh plus Combi hot water and furnace and it's a three-stage seven thousand fourteen thousand or Twenty Thousand BTUs around for heating and for hot water as well very cool all right so I think we've checked out the whole thing off-road capability one to ten what would you rank this thing man um I definitely would be somewhere in between a seven or an eight uh it's it tows so good these are some of the best towing trailers I've ever towed uh I was doing over 90 on the interstate with this one and the bigger one and the the wheels are set towards the back a little bit farther so it has a long break over angle um which is good for towing um and the suspension is really good but it's it's a it's it's a small trailer but it's larger I wouldn't take it to some of the extreme places that we've taken those other trailers for sure yeah just mainly because of the overall size and and that's really where he limits it in terms of of off-road capability it's not the fact that it's any less capable it's because it's longer and it's a little bit bigger that you're going to have tight areas that you may not be able to just fit it into that's really what it comes down to well and you said off-road not off-grid if I were to say off-grid capability yeah I I would say 10 right 11 anything on the market maybe 11 because uh I mean what has a thousand eighty years of lithium 740 Watts it has a 60 gallon fresh water tank for a 14 foot trailer yeah that really is that really is it's it's very much so um this is designed to go off-grid and stay off grid we had the AC running for almost a week straight off-grid oh that's awesome battery was maintaining solar it's the about 12 that 12 volt AC unit is very efficient so it's a pretty cool it's pretty cool literally yep yep very cool so from a pricing perspective um and again prices can change you definitely want to check their website to see what the current price is just in case but uh I'm not going to guess what what does something like this run typically so so it's like an Airstream on steroids is what I like to say imagine your Airstream but off-road and off-grid capable uh and the it depends on how you option it because you can do bigger battery Banks or smaller but if you go with the base you're going to be around 110 and if you go fully loaded you're going to get about to 125. okay and that's going to be like upgraded lithium everything everything Max loaded as much as solar and everything you can you can option it out and the max you could get is up to 125 yep and if you compare this against an Airstream pricing Wise It's about comparable yeah there's no Airstream that I'm aware of that has that much power or solar or capability off-road capability yeah and you can't take them off-road they're made for the pavement yeah they really are they're low they're very aerodynamic but low to the ground right yep yep absolutely well Shane once again you have wowed me with this absolutely amazing amazing off-road trailer this thing is super cool check out their website for sure check out their YouTube channel one more time it's Roa off-road or RVs of America definitely check it out we
