BLIZZARD AT THE CABIN | 2 Days in a Winter Storm with my Dog!

foreign [Music] I'm so excited for this we are about to get a pretty pretty major blizzard here in Minnesota and uh it's gonna take place over the next few days I've heard 12 inches of snow I've heard 22 inches of snow wind gusts over 40 miles an hour it should be pretty impressive and we're gonna take it all in right here at the cabin okay put our food back in here we got our eggs we got some hash browns here we got some sausage we got our pizzas these could be left outside foreign good girl steak and potato started using some of this Pine to get the bonfire started and uh it's been really really nice all right [Music] Snow's definitely picked up I mean I'm getting covered and I've only been sitting here for a few minutes it's pretty cool time to chill foreign about 7 30 A.M uh which is pretty good for me I usually get up really early here it's about 55 degrees Fahrenheit in here right now so it's still like a comfortable temp I had to stock the fire um I don't know like three times in the night could be worse um Ellie is just patiently waiting to come back in come on in foreign food all right now with breakfast done there's a few things that I want to accomplish today before this storm hits number one Ellie and I are going to walk by the lake beautiful beautiful little Trail second when we get back I want to cut up a little more wood because our Stack's already getting low so this is uh the lake that's right by our little A-frame I absolutely love it because it feels so wild you do have houses and there are some old cabins but a whole section of it is left Wild and there's this beautiful Trail here that goes alongside the lake shore you can really see the storm clouds moving in the wind is picked up for sure foreign before the snow starts because just be unpleasant to do so once it does mom with all of her babies sounds like we got some other people out doing some uh some wood cutting before the storm we're gonna have a nice Symphony of chainsaws going on let's see if the cabin's still warm oh yeah oh yeah she is Toasty here in the warm cabin I don't really feel like going out again but uh I'll be happy I'll be happy that I did foreign [Music] thank you foreign a lot better uh something that I am seeing is that I need to drape a tarp over it or like create some sort of a shield on the front because snow is getting on it but uh that'll be a project for the future well it's snowing but nothing crazy yet we'll see what happens supposed to continue all night yeah this is more like it it's the one really nice thing about being down in this little uh Little Valley we're actually quite sheltered from the wind since I'm holding the camera I can't really get much as I'd like but you can always come back out it's getting good out there I just keep putting these up here to dry after I go out foreign I'm gonna be baking some pizza in a dutch oven on top of the wood stove foreign s have been out in our uh natural freezer for the last day and a half I think this is when we just uh settle in for a while take a look well the cheese is definitely melted I think I think we might be good to go here this is what they look like they look good definitely hot here goes nothing it's hot all the way through cheese is melted I would call this a success beautiful out I think we better go for a night hike I gotta get my jacket on loves it of course cabin looks cozy and spooky this is all fresh snow here ah good dog yeah [Music] the cabin's right there got to get back down there got this big hill which is a little slick right now because of the uh fresh snow good dog good dog all right let's get back to the cabin ET safe and sound Now where's Ellie she's always the straggler Ellie good job come on in come on in all right good dog that was a good walk wasn't it around a pizza oh yeah that looks cooked it looks so great I was able to go for a little walk come back my pizza's cooked This Is The Life my friends thank you next it's whiskey time [Music] not a bad way to end the day it's been wild spending two full days here with so much snow and peace and quiet so grateful there's that wind we were hearing about it's definitely still snowing 4 30 A.M a nicer in here wow no more stairs oh man just caked man that's a lot of snow good chunk of snow Al it's very peaceful out here still man oh yeah good foreign thank you Lord for getting us through the storm you know if it's going to be cold it might as well snow and man did it snow Ed's all packed up and uh it's time to go if I can never find Ellie Ellie dude come on Al we gotta go home yeah it's time to go home we'll be back back all right see you guys later [Music] thank you
