Skyrim How to Get Secret Power You Never Heard of…

Oh God what's up guys my name is ESO and welcome back to the channel in this video we've got a really cool quest line that we're gonna be doing and there's a lot of law in this quest we also get to wreak ill a dead King named hola we get a super seeker power that not many people know about and we also get to join the bards College why would I want to join the bards College ESO well guys once you've joined the bard college you actually get a new sort of series of free quests where you can find three different items and you can basically level up all of your skills or 18 skills once so it's pretty damn useful getting a free plus 18 skills and that'll level you up a few times so it's pretty awesome quest and I totally recommend you do it and in this question I'm going to be explaining the backstory behind it as well but to start this quest we need to fast travel over here to solitude once we arrived here in solitude we're gonna head to the bards College which is this rather magnificent building just down the road from the blue palace you can enter this building just here through this door let's go inside welcome to the bards College I'm the headmaster here how may I help you I'm looking to apply to the College always a pleasure to meet a prospective bard you should be aware that many apply but we accept very few people when possible we ask applicants to perform tasks the college needs completed in this case I do have a task befitting an aspiring bard Majin eat meat what do you need me to do Alice if has forbidden the burning of King Olaf a festival put on by the bards College we need to change her mind to convince her I want to read King Olaf's verse a part of the poetic Edda the living history of Skyrim unfortunately the verse was lost long ago and that's where I coming yes to zero our history's keeper the portion of the Edda dealing with King Olaf might still exist in dead man's respite I need you to retrieve the poem ok so we've started the quest tending the flame fine King Olaf's verse so what about this poetic edda I think Shiro here would give you the best explanation of both it and the history of King Olaf's verse you should speak to him about it this is probably quite a good idea cause he'll summarize the verse for us even right so that's game yeah Harry is good to meet a prospective Bard Verma said you could tell me about the poetic Edda he's sending you after King Olaf's verse then that's good we shouldn't leave it lying around now that I figured out where it is the verse was fact nears contribution to the poetic Edda the living history of Skyrim each bard adds to the etta in his or her time so king olaf's verse is the lost part of the edit and a very ancient one the verse criticized the reigning king olaf he was so incensed the bard was put to death and all the copies burned at least that's what we thought until I translated some ancient texts a year or so ago we now believe King Olaf buried the truth with the Bard if I'm right smack near and king olaf's verse lie in dead men's respite along with the burial chamber of King Olaf himself right okay be careful you might find more than just let's go and figure out the truth of this mystery so just south from solitude we will find dead man's our spikes so that's fast travel over here and guys if you want to watch a video where I read you the whole of King Olaf and the respite and see what we can find another nordic cabin and here is the ghost of the bodies pointing at me okay so I guess he wants us to follow him in there there's a dragon claw here and it looks like it's on a pressure pad so we're not gonna pick that up guys there's gonna be a trap here and the trap appears to be the dragon so let's take out the Drago before we pick up the floor aha there's another one just to make this a lot easier for us that should be pretty much all of them yeah pick up the floor and the doors new open great and there's another tiger has just woken up areas restless driver we are an expert difficulty guys but this bow does a lot of damage iron door was this lead snow room with a health potion an autist sword Mazal take the health potion to be honest and then we'll go through this gate and follow this ghost I assume this ghost is he's a ghost because he has like unfinished business and he wants to show us - Oh laughs Oh laughs burst ok he's delirious look but following him down it's coriolis it's quite cool actually what the hell I just heard Lydia gets stabbed okay she looks like she's fine but the noise issue admit she was making just then would suggest otherwise aha has the same to open this passage I love these circular spinning doors and the ghost is continuing onwards straight ahead I assume we're gonna find some more rocker around here we can't actually go through this door yet those who Oh God find another way around I hate spiders Lydia and kill them Jesus Lydia attack it's already dead Jesus woman you're you're a savage on you goodness me okay so then go that way I think there's just a chest in here though let's quickly loot this we go any further and then we can progress down this corridor after where this ghost is going I'm actually really excited to find out what the story is behind this verse if you guys haven't like definitely watch the video where I read the book because it just makes this quest so much more interesting I spoke about it ages ago about doing like a book reading series where I'd read the different books of Skyrim aha I see you there gasps Rex oh my Cody survived a sneak attack look at him he is absolutely fine with having the arrow right for his face god what an absolute savage take this guy over here there we go yeah I was talking about doing a book reading series cuz there's quite like a few really good books that I just like good stories so I really wanted to read them awesome or dragger and just like explain the stories behind them if they are some of them are like references to treasure in game which makes them pretty awesome other books are just really cool stories I'm not gonna explain them but I'd like to do a book reading series where we like go right so that goes down there before we go down there though if we just backtrack cuz just at the end here I believe the buying games are skilled yep speechgear increased level 40 coin purse soul gem oh god Skyrim's crap right okay I've loaded Skyrim back art we're back in the same place I'm not gonna touch any of these items now because they're cursed Lydia let's go back this way and start sneaking through down here oh I can hear Lydia setting off all the traps just pretty classic for Lydia to be honest so eventually you'll see this path starts to go downhill and you're going the right way I mean it's a very linear path you can't really you know get lost I've seen a lot of people get stuck in this dungeon there which is another reason I don't like spiders I'm fine with how spiders my girlfriend gets me like picked them up and you know put them outside and that's fine I'm I can do this so they're not like massive arachnids with creepy movie parts that still move when they're dead they actually do seem to do that you know real spiders oh my god she's checking out that booty so this room guys yeah I was saying a lot of people seem to get stuck in this dungeon and in fact one of my friends actually recently picked up Skyrim on the Nintendo switch and I was like ours legs he's so happy so I've been helping him out and he got stuck in this dungeon and that's actually the reason I thought I'd do a tutorial on it so this lever right here is gonna open this gate and it leads into a just a pond full of water really you can drop a spider down there if you wish you see it's just water and this is actually a dead end so once you jump in here you cannot get out let's go plop I don't know there's actually a chest down here I don't believe there is we've got to go into this little walkway here which is the only way forward actually and then you can see this place is completely overgrown now and there's the ghost again oh Jesus oh goodness me ask Eva Lydia what the hell was that right we're in the tomb now Oh God there are a lot of dragon oh goodness me that is this is not good this is not good hey you're dead come on then try and swing for me bro Oh Lydia you Savage don't someone a frost Atronach my friends you're dead are we even on expert difficulty here maybe I should put all nasty I should like a moss typically the only thing is this time kill the enemies into bullet sponge Saha that was clearly just a normal driver because he died in one here let's loot these Oh an amethyst potion of the defender gold necklace that was must have been a very rich dragger dragon priests worshiper back in the day okay right let's go upstairs though it's very dark and dingy in here is now here we go and escape you unload Jesus Christ that was not what I want let's do this the hard core where Wow ow okay let's save the game first right so you've got a run across you ready go go go Oh God who got hit last one Oh turn it off for Lydia quickly okay Lydia's fired a panic she only got it is but a scratch she's absolutely fine so what annoying thing about those axes that is that if you do get hit you get knocked off the side as well so it's quite an annoying little trap there right so we need to go through this door next need for Concord that's a little dungeon room or the draaga and there's an enchanting altar here with a plentiful potion of healing now this is the bit people get stuck out this sealed door you can't open it at all so what we need to do is we need to go to this path to the Brighton obviously there's no other way way we can go Oh God hello drivers good girge is school schedule you're a tanky beast on you goodness me this is what I mean like some cunning enemies bullet sponges you actually caught that one Jill that's pretty cool a lot of people question whether I play on master difficulty definitely do or if not I'm playing on expert difficulty executed Oh mates see I've only got a hundred arrows and I'm slightly worried now that's gonna be enough are you oh god he was awake oh Jesus Thank You Lydia I thought he was just like an actual corpse this door by the way has a boss level just behind it now if you guys struggle with this you can believe our level it'll have another lock-picking skill for that master lot I literally love it up twice in a few seconds that's crazy so you can see the ghost actually going down this spiral staircase here clearly he wants us to follow him down there I swear loads of gates just oh god oh my god okay Liddy has actually been shot outside and I've been left fend for myself take out all these Drago master difficulty no match for me bro this is just a standard draaga this obviously they're gonna be oh god this is not the one I wanted to kill ol idiot has somehow run through the door to my aid what an absolute babe she's just not even okay there you go Lydia oh just head road before he can even touch my girlfriend yes that's right me and Lydia have been dating for a long time now we're gonna take our relationship to the next level and get married soon arm Olivia yes okay there's nothing actually in this rod I would just go and check all these rooms to check if we can find a chest in one of them might believe but I can't remember if there was which is why I'm checking just aha here it is and it's actually trapped you guys can see the little white there the little wire there I'm just gonna open anyway because I'm pretty Yolo and step back so we like to hit by the arrows there there we go so we actually need to pull this lever and that's gonna open this spiral staircase which is pretty awesome this is probably where this ghost is buried I seem to recall okay handle handle just here actually quite hidden away there on the left I'm a secret passage oh please and you can see the ghost here and he's looking down this must be his corpse then this must be the bard and this is his corpse look at his weapon I was an ancient what the hell is that weapon ancient Nordic saw what the Slayers and king olaf's verse is on his course and his name is spock near which is actually the name which is refer reference in the book this was the bard that was killed for writing king olaf's verse and just being really angry about it here we go king olaf's verse finally we have the last part of the story Oh Oh laughs our subjugator the one-eyed betrayer death-dealing diamond and dragon killing King your legend is lies luring and folks your cunning capture of mnemonics a corn for the ages olaf grabbed power by promise and threat from foul creed to winter hold they fell to their knees but solitude stood strong Skyrim's truest protectors Olaf's vengeance was instant inspired and wicked so ends the story of olaf the liar a thief a scoundrel we're solitude commits to the fire in solitude bards trained for their services they also gather each year and burn a king who deserves it wow that is interesting now rather interestingly some of these verses are not even here they may be they just worn out from old age so it doesn't really completely answer the whole story of king olaf and now it's going to be up to us to write the story ourselves once we get back to the guards colic so let's pick up this book and we've completed return King Olaf's bird I'm so sorry we have to return this verse to the bars College but first we're going to finish this dungeon if Lydia would just get out of my way oh shut up are you ok apparently when hoping to finish this dungeon guys there we go goodness me absolute buffle so now if we go back to that unsealed door this doors now open again we should be able to escape oh hello you are not dead yet Durex lesser soldier and there's also a great nordic sword there Oh scroll of cycle of protection and neither was give me something in this room right let's carry on back to the sealed door and here is our power the ghost ah he's going to open the sealed door for us oooh nice drawing a sword AHA this is the great dragon door sealed only this key that was at the start of Dungeon can open it I assume this is going to be where King Olaf is buried let's have a look at the key because that's going to give us the the secret code we need to enter this dragon to Ruby dragon cool how cool this looks guys so on the claw I looked at it says a wolf eagle wolf how ingenious so we only actually need to change two of these and then this one wolf Eagle woops Warkworth let's go activate keyhole oh my don't burst Lydia are you ready [Music] there we go into King oh okay oh this is awesome he's actually sitting there ready for the final boss fight oh my god that's awesome there are lots of Drago I assume these people could even be his subjects I've got a bad feeling - Lydia Jesus Christ oh god okay we're gonna fight waves from wave of dragger I think look at this ghost guy oh my god he's actually pretty decent don't worry bro I got you back get rekt son oh yes look at this guy he's an absolute boss I guess we can kill these drugs you are you standing up as well oh hello direct son I'm just sad in the middle of this room I'm rotate and just kill all of these Drago get out of my way Oh God aah aah please stop it we might need some help Lydia we're getting overwhelmed already I'm not looking forward to the draaga to stand up you're on the Thrones right in front of overlaps my vengeance get rekt oh god I missed sneaky sneaky this guy is standing in my way video I need your help Lydia I need you to go and help this ghost there are so many draugar I actually think I have enough arrows for this place oh it's all good yes out of my way I love how this this bard is like so angry that his vengeance is so strong he actually has come back from the dead to you know get kill King Olaf not even like get like show me where his verses but also to kill King Ola like how much of a savage do you have to be oh my God he's actually oh my god this guy's so tanky these guys have like this age-old hatred of each other he's actually helping me out like as long as him and Lydia are tanking King Ola I think we are good here soon as they're not talking I'm gonna have a rough time I don't know how much King Olaf does oh thank you he saved my life he literally save the I was about to get hit by oh it is like did I come on King Ola show us what you're made of oh I missed his lucky he spawned after all these Drago I guess have you walked straight up here ha he fell the wrong way low physics Oh Viking Ola King Olaf old King Olaf one we've got his Treasury key peel full of water breathing ancient nord and this isn't eben ii war axe you can also get an ebony sword potentially here but you can actually get this ebony weapon even as early as level 15 is the earliest I've ever found it myself I've got a guide in the description how to get an ebony great sword and every knee bow at level 1 as well if you guys are interested I'm gonna take that with me give it to Lydia though so what's this ghost guy doing now hey he wants me to follow him I'm just gonna stand there oh he's paying his leave okay that's the end then like like rest in peace or thing why is there painting of is this meant to be his mother I don't know maybe King Olaf had some evil spirits are there whirlwind sprint shout I do believe tempest whirlwinds British so this is a dead end I guess this is the Treasury written then because that's what we have got key yes I assume that you can also go back and unlock the other boss chests with the key I guess increases fire resistance by 50% that's so good that is ridiculously good ok right let's pull this giant evil to lower the secret passage and then it can exit and return this verse to the bards College which will allow us to actually join it and then we'll have like this little ceremony which should be pretty cool guys so I'm excited about that oh look there's a coin purse sale I missed ok so this takes us right back out to the star and then we can it can just pay to the dungeon it's super easy oh god I thought that dead dragons alive again what the hell I was so spooky let's fast travel back to solitude I'll go to the blue palace it's a bit closer to the bards let's go and finish and turn in this quest there's actually some very interesting things that happen now which are quite cool to talk about actually because obviously this book that we got didn't actually contain all of the missing verse a lot of it was stricken out so he won't use a bit of common sense to figure out what the missing verse might actually be so here he is well ah you've returned I gave you I found king olaf's verse I have to admit I didn't think it would actually be there now let's take a look at this the copy is incomplete it's aged to the point that parts are unreadable and the parts that are readable well Bartek verse has come a long way since ancient times what does that mean it means I can't read it to the court without the verse I won't be able to convince LSF of the importance of the burning of King Olaf festival if she isn't convinced of the festival's importance than she won't reverse her decision to stop the effigy burning it means that the burning of King Olaf which the bards college has held for time immemorial won't be happening Tommy just make up the missing part of the verse legendary make it up that doesn't seem appropriate no I suppose I could copy his style based on what you brought me but I have no idea what happened in between these verses we can do this what's the first verse Oh Olaf our subjugator the one-eyed betrayer death-dealing demon and dragon killing King your legend is lies Laura and false your cunning capture of Numan ex-con for the ages King Olaf was Olaf one eye he famously captured the dragon Newman exit took him to Dragon's reach what did we say really happened so we know from this original scripture as close as we can get to the original source that King Olaf is indeed a liar according to this source and considering he burnt the bard and literally vote from the dead when the bard tried to avenge himself like you know we know that it's probably true so we can go for something here that maybe makes the most sense Olaf found him asleep this is actually quite lightly he he was very tired according to the verse and what the historian originally wrote in the original text he could have found him asleep and just literally enslaved the dragon and then taking him back to Whiterun and just you know encased him there in what became dragon's reach Olaf made a deal with neobux I highly doubt the dragon would make a deal with Olaf it could happen it has been known to happen in the past but in this case so I am very doubtful NUMA next was very sour and I don't think he would have agreed to then turn around and help the townspeople of Skyrim and then the last option Olaf was actually Newman X a dragon in human form this will give me caught the best reaction if you choose this option don't choose option two because it's ashli bugged for this question and here in this one I find that highly unlikely the court will love it I'm writing it in okay what's next Olaf grabbed power by promise and threat from fall Greece to winter hold they fell to their knees but solitude stood strong Skyrim's truest protectors Olaf's vengeance was instant inspired wicked strange according to history solitude attacked Winterhold but this seemed to be saying all of reaction what do we say happened so obviously based on history is kind of obvious that the most you know truthful point here and what probably existed in the verse was olaf ordered disguised troops to attack solitude they did say that his the original text the bard was saying that his plan was inspired and wicked so it was quite a devious plans by the sound of it and you know ordering disguise troops to attack solitude kind of gives the idea that he put his enemies against one another and that's how he dealt with the problem he could have convinced solitude to attack winds howl i highly doubt about the situation considering this history we know of the time period we know olaf probably wasn't on speaking terms enough that he can convince solitude to attack with the holes but hey the last option Olaf's axe it in dragon form this will give the best reaction from the core if you choose this but it is obviously it just doesn't really make sense know that that's pushing it too far is it very exciting but highly unlikely i can't possibly write that in so I failed the persuade option so I'm gonna go ahead and go with he ordered solitary to attack when told hmm that's not the most exciting answer but the most likely I'll write it in is that it it has a few final lines but that's all we needed to add I need to head to court immediately and present this you should come so now we get to hear the whole verse for sighted lions but definitely gonna follow this Kartik off behind each thank you I think my voice is ready I hope we've done this well unbelievable what's more Ellis if has declared the burning of King Olaf should become a weekly event vows of a king and finally of the patronage the gift of the gap added in the top left corner that is the secrets of Billa see that you can't actually see is it's not in your active effects or powers speech skill increased 15% faster the gift of the gap very good ability to get the very start of the game so whenever you sell stuff you're gonna increase your speech skill even quicker there you go King Olaf got absolutely wrecked look at this sack of poop no I do not want to play tag small child get away from me that is right anyway guys I hope you enjoyed this video so as for these extra quests in the bard college I will be doing some extra videos about them but basically you have to go and find some certain items and if you find these items you'll actually get an increase to all the different skills so that's 18 skills in total and you need to find three different items and you get +1 to every
