Sisters REBORN Years Later As Twins: The Pollock Twins Story

are really interested in it as well I think the idea of reincarnation is one of the most fascinating things to ponder I'm sure everyone out there has thought about what happens to you after you die description box now moving into our story for today so in the 1940s a couple got married named Florence and John Pollock and in 1946 they had their first daughter who was named Joanna they had actually had two sons before Joanna so this was actually their third child and then in 1951 they had another daughter named Jacqueline and the whole family was living in hexam in Northumberland England and they were actually raised by their grandmother the majority of the time because the family owned this like food delivery business it was pretty much basic milk and groceries but it took up a lot of their time they were running this business on their own so their grandmother stepped in and really raised them all the parents were hard at work on their grocery delivery business Joanne and Jacqueline were really close from an early age and they really got along well and Joanna actually really loved to take care of Jacqueline she saw herself as you know a really good big sister she wanted to step in almost like a second mother to her and really be there for her since their mother was so busy they were both really creative girls especially Joanna they would put on a bunch of like shows and act out little scenes and become little characters played dress-up and you know put on performances for their parents the two girls spent endless time together playing pretend and doing creative things and they really enjoyed each other's company the kids had a pretty regular upbringing nothing was out of the ordinary in their family and they seemed to be pretty normal girls but one thing that is weird is Joanna would always say that she was never going to grow up to be a lady she said that she would always be a kid and no one knew what she was talking about at the time or took her seriously but then something would happen that would make that statement really eerie so fast forward a little bit to May 7th 1957 Jacqueline was six years old and Joanna was 11 years old and they were walking to church with a young neighbor friend that they had this little boy and the three of them were having a normal walk Church they did this pretty often and this is just crazy but while they were walking to church a car came up behind them and purposely hit them going extremely fast like bowling pins and like I said this car was going extremely fast and purposely hit them so there was no braking involved so as you can imagine this was tragic none of them lived in fact the Pollock girls died on the spot and the little boy they were with was brought to a hospital and died at the hospital so this was absolutely tragic and it turns out that the driver of the car was actually a woman a mother herself and apparently this woman had just lost her kids in a custody battle so she was feeling really angry upset and actually was trying to take her own life at the time of the accident she was on a bunch of aspirin which is interesting and there are reports that she was on other drugs so I'm guessing she was on things that are worse than aspirin a lot of people think that she hit these kids by accident because she just didn't see them and then there's a lot of people that think that she actually did purposely hit them because she had this mindset that if she couldn't have her kids then no one could have their own kids so this woman ended up going to trial over this and she was sentenced to a mental institution for what she had done so when florence found out about the death of her children she was absolutely devastated and this depression lasted for a long time john was upset too but he had more of a belief that the girls were in heaven or that they would be reincarnated John had a little bit more of spiritual exploration in him John was trying to connect with the girls spiritually in a way and he that he would have dreams about the girls and it really upset Florence to talk about these dreams because she wanted to just kind of put this all behind them and move on because the pain that came with thinking about her children dying was just too much for her to bear not only did he have visions of the girls coming to him in his sleep he also felt some type of presence in their bedroom he said whenever he would go in there he would feel like he wasn't alone and so he'd spend a lot of time in there which actually really upset Florence so a little backstory on John he was born in Bristol in 1920 and intended the Church of England until he eventually converted to Catholicism but even though he was a Catholic he had stumbled across his book when he was only 9 years old about reincarnation and he was completely fascinated by it and that's kind of around the age that I started being really curious about reincarnation I think a lot of people just naturally think about the idea when they're young and John was absolutely fascinating reincarnation until his adult years and so when he was humming while these you know dreams and visions of Johanna and Jacqueline he thought maybe he could bring them back he would pray to God to give him some type of evidence of reincarnation because he really did believe in it so he could show Catholic priests the proof and kind of change everyone's perception of this type of thing in the religious world so Florence on the other hand is also Catholic she converted when she married John but she on the other hand did not entertain any other beliefs and she was a very very strict Catholic and did not believe in reincarnation after the girls died however John started to feel like maybe God was punishing him for believing in reincarnation so much by letting his children died in this accident eventually he started having more visions and dreams but this time it was of the girls being born into their family he had a feeling that his girls would be reborn to them in some way and Florence was completely against this idea it really actually put some issues in their relationship because there were such different pages about this and they were really not grieving over their children the right way because they were handling it different Florence became so depressed about the girls that she started telling people and John that not only does she not believe in reincarnation she also just didn't believe in heaven or an afterlife at all and this put such a strain on their relationship that Florence and John almost got divorced over the pain but despite thinking about getting divorced they stayed together and eventually Florence became pregnant again so the doctor at the time confirmed that there was only one baby and from the beginning John thought that there were two he would talk about how there would be two and you know I think at this point he's already starting to think about how they could be reincarnated versions of his daughters but somehow the doctor was wrong right up until the day that they were born October 4th 1958 Florence gave birth to twin girls and everyone apparently was in complete shock except for John that there were two babies and heard the entire time twins didn't run in the family at all so Florence just wasn't expecting it and she never felt that she had to in there so it was kind of a shock to her so they decided to keep up the whole juh theme but it drives me absolutely crazy because they named one of the girls jennifer which is fun that works with their whole theme but then they named the other one Gillian but spelled it with a G like it almost looks like Gillian it actually might be Gillian I'm not completely sure but anyway right away John believed that these girls were the reincarnations of Joanna and Jacqueline of course Florence was still not sold on the idea because she really didn't have any spiritual beliefs at this point it wasn't until she realized that her new twin babies had the exact same birth marks that Jacqueline and Joanna had and another thing that was really crazy was around the age of three Jacqueline had accidentally fell and somehow landed on a bucket and she got this cut on her eye it left a permanent scar and then it turned out that Jennifer had the exact same mark in the exact same place but she obviously didn't fall in a bucket she was born with it Jacqueline also had this birthmark it was like a round mark on the left side of her waist and Jennifer had the exact same birthmark the whole birthmark topic when it comes to green our nation you may have heard me talk about this on my podcast is it's super super interesting there is an idea that people are born with birthmarks because there's some type of wound or scar or experience that they went through in their past life maybe even the way that they died which is really really interesting so I had a birthmark next to my nipple actually my whole life I had to get it removed because it started looking cancerous a few years ago so got that [ __ ] out of there but it's really interesting to think about because I started thinking like what if I was like shot in my chest because it's just one little mark it's my only birthmark if you guys have interesting birthmarks you should let me know below so when the twins were about nine months old the family actually moved from hexam to a town called Whitley Bay they wanted a new start away from where the accident had taken place so they decided to move and once the twins were old enough to start talking they would start talking about toys that they had never actually even played with in their lifetime but Jacqueline and Joanna did these toys were literally up in the attic and the girls described their toys perfectly even though they had never seen them before so they went upstairs got the toys brought them back downstairs and when they put them all out on the ground the girls instantly started sorting them they knew whose toy was whose and which ones were their favorites right away and there was no fighting over any of the toys and what's interesting is they had no idea that they had two older sisters who had passed away the parents were planning on telling them eventually but it's not really something you're gonna talk about with your young child another thing that was weird is the girls had the exact same favorite foods as Jacqueline and Joanna did apparently these girls had the same personalities mannerisms even walk as their sisters they even had the same body types Jillian was a little more slender and similar to how Joanna was and Jennifer was a bit more stocky similar to how Jacqueline was another thing that was weird is when Jacqueline was alive she was having trouble holding her pencil she would hold in fists oh my gosh that just reminds me so much of when I was a kid I had such trouble learning how to hold a pencil but anyway she would hold it in a fist like a lot of kids do and Jennifer had the exact same habit when she started learning how to write it was just little things like this another weird thing was even though the girls were the same age Jillian treated Jenna for like a mother figure just like Joanna did for Jacqueline Gillian also loved acting and being creative putting on plays just like Joanna did and Florence even though she didn't believe in this also claimed that she heard her daughters on several occasions talking about their death the car accident that they didn't experience and recalling details a bit that they just wouldn't have known and John also heard the girls talking about their accident and he said when they did they would talk about it in past heads as if it was something that they experienced when the twins were about four years old the family went back to hexam to visit again for the first time since they left and at one point they were walking down the street when the twins started talking about how they wanted to go to this nearby park but it was nowhere near where they actually were and the parents didn't tell them about this Park but they somehow knew that the park was there and they described a specific park with specific swings and it was on another side of town and when Jacqueline and Joanna were alive they loved that Park but of course Gillian and Jennifer did not know that they also had an unexplained fear of cars Florence said they never had to teach them about street safety that they immediately mean to hold hands and look both ways before they cross the street they were super super cautious about cars if they even hurt a car make a weird sound they would even sometimes say oh my god the car is coming for us so eventually word of mouth got out that something was going on with these girls and eventually a doctor caught wind of the story in 1963 a psychologist named dr. Ian Stevenson became intrigued so he decided to get in contact with their family and meet the twins he met them when they were around four years old he interviewed the parents he took a bunch of notes he examined their birthmarks he did a lot of talking with them about their lives so this is really crazy but back then it was actually believed that twins had the exact same genes which now I know is not true but they figured that twins would have the exact same birthmarks because they're made of the same genes but these twins did not have the same birthmarks they had the same birthmarks as their previous sisters who they obviously wouldn't be sharing genes with so it actually wasn't until the girls were 13 years old that they started talking to them about the idea of carnation dr. Stevenson didn't meet with them again until 1967 and this is really common with reincarnation cases but at this point the girls were starting to lose their past life memories often times in these stories people have these memories when they're young but it just starts to fade as they get older because obviously you're closest to wherever you were previously when you're first born dr. Stevenson met with the girls one more time when they were 20 years old that was in 1978 but at this point the girls had no memories of their past life at all but interestingly enough in 1981 Gillian's started having more visions and lucid dreams and they were of playing in a specific sandbox in the town of Wiccan and she was able to perfectly describe this sandbox even though she had never even been there and this was the same sandbox that Joanna had actually played in when she was three years old so it's really weird she had this random memory so many years later dr. Stevenson was so interested with the pull out case that he ended up writing a case report on it as well as mentioned it in a 1987 book called children who remember previous lives a question of reincarnation and he would actually go on to write a total of 12 different books on the subject of reincarnation and study thousands of cases which makes the case for reincarnation a lot more believable when there is so many cases of course there has been skepticism about the story however you know you could assume that the parents are making a lot of it up or that they taught the girls to say certain things and you can always say those types of things especially if you haven't seen cases of reincarnation with strong evidence I will link my reincarnation videos below because some of them have way more evidence than this one does obviously people think that the parents could have concocted this whole thing and they could have but I think it's really interesting that Florence personally did not believe in reincarnation at all and she eventually came around because she got to know her daughters and she just couldn't deny how similar they were to her previous daughters another thing that's really interesting though is a lot of people think that this is actually something called maternal impression which is basically where a mom has a lot of thoughts about something which she would be thinking a lot about her daughters who just died when she was pregnant and maybe she imprinted their personalities and her thoughts onto the new girls which is an interesting theory so what do you guys think that have an impact on the twins because the parents have been making everything up or do you really believe that these girls were reincarnated versions of their older sisters who they never even met pretty fascinating stuff guys I definitely want to know your thoughts so leave them below if you like reincarnation videos be sure to give this video a thumbs up don't forget to subscribe on your way out and that's it from you guys I hope you're having a great day and I will see you next time hi [Music] [Music]
