I've been getting a lot of emails and a lot of questions about how to do a full disassemble of the Sig p3 65 so we're gonna go ahead and do that today we're gonna take this whole puppy apart every little part again started we're gonna need a coal of parts we're gonna need a lock this we're gonna rest the slide on to knock out a pin for that we're gonna need a you use a hockey puck if you got a hockey put drill a couple holes in there you'll be fine poor piece of wood piece of wood will work fine punch I need that punch now you're gonna need a kind of a small punch for this but punch I'm going to use this little pick tool this is gonna help me align things and just put the gun back together a little small bladed screwdriver it's gonna help I need want to news trusty hammer always need a hammer if you if you're not using hammer you're not doing it right gotta have a hammer gotta have a glock tool anytime you're working on a modern-day firearm you need a glock tool this is the best thing glock ever made works on all modern-day firearms works great we're going to need a trusty paperclip i know fancy Sig Sauer and you need a paperclip to take it apart and one more thing gonna need a little small needlenose pliers this gun is itty-bitty so when the guns real small parts are gonna be really small I kind of took Ian's approach from forgotten weapons I didn't really look anything up I just looked at the gun and started taking stuff apart so that's pretty much how this is gonna go we're just gonna take the gun apart and put it back together first thing we're gonna do is make sure the firearm is unloaded I'm gonna lock our slide back take our magazine out put that to the side I'm gonna check our chamber with our nice little pinky finger whoo muy caliente it's clear we're all good to go there now we're going to take this line off we're gonna push down right here this is our slide release this is gonna take the gun now you gotta have the slide lock back to be able to rotate this we're going to rotate it straight down now we're going to release the slide it's going to slide forward and slide off we're gonna put the frame to the side we've got a first focus on the slide we're going to take our mainspring out for the barrel just push that down it rotates up take the barrel out nice and empty all right and we get the slide here all right now we did have to change out the night sights on this particular one the front night sight stopped glowing in the dark contacted sick about it and they were kind enough to send out some new ones they say that these are new and approved so I guess these are supposed to be upgrades which I will try to put some footage in from my last video of what they look like before but the front sight is larger than the rear so it kind of makes it quicker for target acquisition you can pick up that front sight really easy it's like bright green neon color alright stop talking more disassembly so we're gonna take our Clark tool here I'm gonna push down on this d-10 I'm sure you can see that there's a little detail right here we're gonna put such straight down with the clock tool and as pushing down we're gonna push this lively off okay it's like slide Pillai is starting to slide off at this point we don't need a clock tool I'm gonna push it off to rest it away here's your plate take our firing pin that take our firm for now we're just gonna slide it straight back out of the side now you're gonna want to put your thumb over the firing pin block so it doesn't pop out on you and we're gonna just wiggle out the firing pin now we're gonna hold on our farm pen safety Blanc there's that spring pops huh there's your little spring take the firing pin apart as you can see it's just got this coil spring around there it's kind of weird how it just like moves around like this you would think it would put the firing pin in some type of bind but yeah works fine so what we're gonna do we're gonna pull this spring downward and when we do that it's gonna let these little couplers come out and they come out one on each side you just gonna pull down and one there's one coupler on one side put that down and let's get the other one out and there's your other coupler there's your spring look how long that thing is that's a long spring for a firing pin for a gun this small and then this little cover comes off and there's your hole firing pin the firing pin back together what I just noticed like I said I'm never taking this gun apart before I'm just looking at it and taking it apart just kind of winging it but there's a little spring right here on the firing pin I didn't notice until I was about to put it back together and it's just a little small spring and what's that's gonna keep tension on this plastic sleeve here I'm gonna go ahead and slide that on so first you got to put the little spring and then we're gonna put this little plastic sleeve now there's a groove cut in the bottom of the plastic sleeve so that the firing pin where it comes in contact with the striker slide stir that's gonna go through this little groove here next up is our firing pin spring look how long this sucker is I mean that's a pretty long spring there so what we're gonna do to put this under tension just slide this on we're gonna need our little couplings to put this back together I'm gonna pull down on this spring gotta get it nice and compressed it's not really that strong over spring it's just awkward I'm not used to Farmington Springs looking like this alright so we got one coupling on here that's what that looks like let's go then get our second one kind of blends in with the granite here probably should choose a different surface to work one she's trying to hold the firing pin in and pull down the spring and put the couplers on so I started thinking you know I've taken some Glock armours classes and they generally want you to put the plastic in into the slide here and it kind of holds the farm pin in place when you pull down the spring to put the little couplings on well this one doesn't fit in that channel but the little catch part on the firing pin that connects to the sear I just decided to rotate that backwards and there's a groove here in the slide where that rides I I'm gonna slide that in like so you see that and we're gonna be able to push down on this spring but the little coupling zone so we're gonna take a nice little tip that up learn from a clock armors class in the past and watch this we're gonna pull down on our spring here yeah you see how much better that holds that in place we're gonna get our little couplings got our second one out so that seemed to work pretty easy it's what happens when you're just winging it never seen anyone take one of these apart before I just decided hey let's just wing it and I'm sure it can't be that hard I mean this ain't that you don't corn gun there anything if I lose a part I should be able to get another one from Sig right yeah I just need a good solid surface to knock out this roll pin right here that's gonna hold in your extractor and then you got a little spring behind there so you might want to just keep your thumb right here to keep that spring from shooting off and then you have to go searching for it so I like to rotate it over and we're going to push the pin straight up and we're actually gonna leave it in the slide because it makes it easier to line it back up to reassemble so we're gonna take our punch put on top of that rope and get our trusty hammer as you can see pins starting to come out I'm going to push a little bit more just so that it will stay in and we can get the extractor out a little bit more all right now you extract there's gonna root eat up there it is not that dirty I think we got about a thousand rounds through this gun right now not that dirty get our spring out here it looks pretty normal oh look at this to get like a little buffer in there and see if I can get this into focus here so if you're familiar with a or extractors they put a little buffer inside this spring and that's what we have here you got like a little buffer inside of there huh I would have never thought that but hey there we go now we're gonna go ahead and put this back together first thing we're gonna do is install the spring and we're gonna get our extractor here slide that in I'm gonna have to put some slight pressure on here put it down onto our hockey puck okay our trusty hammer to get this started alright now we got that pin started into the extractor the extractors not going to come out we're going to use the punch to drive it home we want to get it nice and even with the surface on the bottom of the slide just for aesthetic purposes and also to prevent interference with any friction with any other moving parts [Music] alright 8:02 over here we got a little bit more to go up more little love taps there we go extractors back in I'm not gonna remove the sight so I did remove them on this one there's lots of videos on out there to how to remove sights on guns it's just a dovetail sight you can stick this in a vise and Hammer it off with a a punch me I got access to a nice fancy tool from pepper light and it just drives them out for you makes life easy but you can do this at home if you don't have fancy tools like that and you just stick this in a vise I wouldn't recommend putting some masking tape so you don't think stuff up and you could drive it out with a hammer and a punch and then you want to try to Center it since these are your primary sites to aim with the straighter the better you'll be a windage so we got the firing pin back together let's go ahead and put this back in the fly definitely work them in getting a little bin to keep your part set this is a some Tupperware that you get when you get some lunch meat from the grocery store but hey it works fine in our rules from so that helps for you not to lose any parts while you're reassembling or disassembling something and sometimes you might get distracted you might have to come back to something all right this is our frame pin block this is a directional part you got your little spring right here there's a groove on the right hand of this slide that that little spring is going to go into not sure how well it's gonna come up on camera but there's like a little groove in there where the spring is going to go into yeah I can't find it on camera but it's there so we're gonna slide this in ever so slightly so there's our plunger it's in there it's under spring tension now we're gonna have to hold this down to slide it in our firing pin because if we don't then the firing pin is gonna run right into it and it's not gonna seed all the way we're going to push that down I'm gonna start to wiggle in our firing pin because of that weird spring that they got on there it doesn't slide in so easy you got to wiggle it around and bam firing pins in there are firing pin block plungers in there are spring now we got our back plate I'm gonna need our trusty little cluck tool here to put this back on you see this little sleeve right here that's part of the firing pin assembly we're gonna have to push this down this is what's gonna hold the back plate on to the slide we're gonna take our trusty clock tool here and that's gonna assist us I'm going to push that sleeve down by pushing it down we can start the plate see the plate has now started all we did was push that plastic sleeve down and that's gonna retain this plate on I'm gonna push it all the way we're gonna hear it click and now it's on there it won't slide off until you press that little detent down and then you can slide this off I'm going to put our barrel back on and our mainspring here that's just drops into place there's a little groove right here on the barrel that's gonna retain this it's gonna push though then push that to Center there's your hole slide all reassembled ready to go the next step is the magazine this is just the 10 round magazine this is very easy to take apart once again trusty Glock tool see there's like a little button right here it's also under spring tension I'm just gonna take our tool we're going to push that in with our thumb here I'm gonna push this plate off it's gonna slide and you see that that little button part is now pushed down underneath the plate so we're gonna push the plate off now you're gonna want to put your thumb over the spring it's going to want to try to shoot out on you so you're gonna pop this off this is your bottom plate and you're gonna wiggle there's a nother little plastic plate here that's that little point that's what holds this bottom plate on it slides into that just like that so that's why this table there's your housing this is what made this gun so cool was the magazine now these little plastic doohickeys they just pop off and you can pop them back on now the follower is directional so you want to make sure you put that in the proper position you see it's a little slightly tapered on the front side of the follower there's also this little lip right here that's what pushes up on the lash round slide lock to lock your slide rock alright we're going to reassemble this you just slide that back in wiggle a little plate into place get our base plate start to slide that in place when you get to a certain point and it's gonna lock in oh there you go magazines back together pretty simple pretty standard for nowaday modern magazines that's pretty standard on how they come apart go back together we're at the frame this is where stuff really gets fun first thing we're gonna do we're going to take the trigger assembly out that's real easy just to get your Glock tool push this rear pin out it's gonna it's got like a little groove cut on the pen that's why holds this in that's gonna come out you see a little groove right there it's on both sides so it's not directional pen you can put it in either way it's gonna work the same right throw that in our bin now the trigger something's gonna rotate out of the frame here rear comes up first we're gonna take the magazine release now if you rotate it over and push on the magazine release the opposite side has a little small hole that hole is to push the little detail and then you're gonna pull that d-10 out and then the whole magazine release button is going to pop out it's very similar to the sig p320 so you're gonna need a little trusty paperclip a little small one here on the opposite side of this detent here which is the small front part there's a groove cut in there and what that groups gonna do is gonna use a screwdriver that's why we got this little screwdriver here and you're gonna pry that up once you push in that a little detail so first thing we're gonna do I'm gonna push the magazine release button by pressing the button we're gonna be able to go press that detent pressing the detent we're gonna get our screwdriver this puppy's gonna lift right up alright guys I had to do it off camera it's very hard to operate on this gun because it is just so small so I'm gonna show you what I had to do to take it apart now you had to use a paperclip and then this screwdriver here there's a little small spring in there that's gonna be your retention but this is the detent I'm telling you about this is what holds it in didn't aim and it's just super small there's it's made of plastic and there's just like a little clip that you're going to push against in this case you're gonna be using this paperclip and you go through there's a little small hole right here you can see through there sees a little small hole and what you do is you take your PIP clip you push through the magazine release button and you're going to push that detent and when you push it with the paperclip with your opposite hand like I said you need a lot of hands for this you're gonna take a screwdriver does a little groove underneath there and you're gonna pull this up see how much work that is now you can reverse this if you're a left-handed shooter they do make it where we'll work both ways there's a little shoulder in there for the spring to push against on either side so we'll operate either way this is a lot easier to put together than it is to take apart very difficult to take part so this is our magazine release we're gonna put that over here because we are right-handed now the spring this little bitty spring here that's gonna go onto the shoulder you see there's a little shoulder cut for the spring that's gonna fit right there go ahead and just slide this then wouldn't be kind of slow so that that spring doesn't fall out I'm gonna get it it's proper Channel okay so we got the magazine release button in there with the spring now we're going to put the detent back in this is what holds the whole assembly together once again this is very easy to put together very difficult to take apart there's a groove on top you're gonna slide this into the groove that there's cut on there you just push it straight down you're gonna hear it click ends back together and it's so much easier the trigger assembly or should I say the actual firearm because this is deserialize part frame is not the gun this is just Tupperware don't need that this is the actual gun so you can actually interchange fees hopefully it will make more different colors maybe different grip frame sizes thicker thinner I mean I don't want smaller but hey smaller maybe so we're gonna go ahead and take this apart apparently nobody wants to take one of these apart they look like a nightmare and from my experience Wow alright first thing I need like to take out is the slide stop this is quite easy to take out you're going to lift up and outward and it's going to pretty much rotate out the spring you just leave it in place for now it's not going anywhere it's in there pretty good we're going to route it over this is where I like to get the pliers [Music] the pliers are gonna help me take out the trigger return spring and you see when you pull the trigger this is the return spring so that pushes the trigger back forward I do not recommend doing any trigger job on this thing this trigger assembly is very complicated if you're successful please tell me how you did it once again when you have a gun this small all the parts going to be really small and they are in there tight so here's our trigger return spring I put that too so now this is your trigger transfer bar here you pull your trigger this actually is going to engage your your sear so we're gonna rotate that to the side this makes it easy to push this out the way what this little sliding silver piece here does this actually prevents you from firing the gun out of batter so when it's pressed down its gonna disengage the trigger transfer bar where you can't pull the sear which just is to see or hear it won't be able to move if the slide is not in batter so when it has the opportunity to go up that means it's all good to go and you can pull the trigger at that point and it will just disconnect the firing pin where it will fire and hit the primer so that just slides right up damn alright we're doing pretty good so far no we're gonna go ahead and take this bar out here this bar is connected to the takedown lever to disassemble the gun field strip stall and that prevents you from firing again wholesale and also to disassemble the gun field stripping not to take this apart so what we're gonna do is you see the silver block here there's a pin that goes all the way through to the opposite side I'm gonna just take these pliers and I'm gonna pull it slightly out we don't want to pull it all the way out because the sear spring pushes against it and we're not ready to take to sear out yet so we're just gonna it actually moves pretty easily for our being on there's so much tension I was very surprised on that get a pen quite be easy to push it from the other side but I'm gonna actually rotate it this also is gonna fall out this when you actually pull the trigger transfer bar or pull them the trigger this actually pushes upward and this is what's going to hit your farm pin to lock that's gonna allow the farm pin to go forward when you do fire the firearm now put that to the side and this is where we're going to get the pliers again I'm gonna want to rotate this right there so it was like this now we're gonna rotate it slightly too so it's just a little quarter turn as on his that's kind of loan was to wiggle this up if we didn't do that then it would just come in contact and we want to be able to wiggle that bar out so I'm just gonna pull it out a little bit more okay now this has got allowing this bar to wiggle up and it's just gonna pop right out BAM we're at the trigger trigger a transfer bar and pivot pin as you can see there's a small hole drilled on the right side of the chassis I'm going to take our pic here I'm going to push pivot pin straight through it's going to come out now we'll be able to remove our trigger transfer bar and also trigger now we're going to actually take the zero up we're going to push the remaining of that pin out and you're going to hear the spring click off the spring for the sear actually pushes against this pin put that to the side this is the pivot pin for the sear on the opposite side we can push that out there's a little hole drilled there I'm going to push that pivot pin out there's our pivot pen put that to the side and there's a little hook here on this ear there's a groove let's not drop it now there's a groove I'm gonna need to see er where that little hooks gonna go and that's how it goes inside of the chassis you're gonna notice there's a little spring portion pushing out here that's gonna push against the pin with the square on it the silver one and that's how you get your spring tension it's gonna push this up our chassis is pretty much empty at this point there's two things on here we got our spring to keep our push pin in place that just rotates out and then you slide it out real easy to take out this one very difficult take up this is your spring for your slide stock keeps in a downward position into your magazine release pushes against it and then well your follower when your magazine pushes against it to lock your slide back on your lash round this one's pretty easy to take it just need like a little screwdriver to lift it up don't lift up and then it slides right up this is very small so you don't want to lose it see if we can get that focus Bale and that's that little bitty spring don't want to lose that one that looks like a piece of hair let's put that back in before we lose it slides in rotates down BAM back into place the car sear or chassis and our seer spring we're going to go ahead and start to reassemble this first we're going to drop in our sear into position then we're gonna take our sear spring with the little hook side slide that behind the sear and then we're going to rotate it down when you do this you're gonna start noticing part of the spring is gonna poke out right here this is the second pin to one the square one that's stainless steel silver color this spring is going to push against there to give you tension on your sear to push it straight up so that's where we're going to take our trusty clock tool which I think this was made for this job because it fits this pin hole perfecto we're gonna start to slide that in and we're gonna push the spring partially out of the way we have that clock tool in there holding the spring tension we're going to actually get the pivot pin at this point and we're going to start to install the pivot pin we're gonna have to get a little persuasion here we had that spring there when I have to do a little wiggling I also like to use this at this time I like to push against the chassis in the seer here to position this where the pivot pin will slide in it's a very small gun so my fingers will be in the way all right it's starting to move in now all right we got our pivot pin majority of the way all right now it's all the way home so now we got our seer back in there all right this is that silver pin now we're going to start to push this pin in while removing the Glock tool so we're going to have this take the place of the Glock tool now I'd like to put slight tension on the Glock tool upwards so when it slides through the spring doesn't pass it up while I'm trying to put the the replacement in there we can now remove the Glock tool so we just have it partially in there mainly what that's doing is holding tension on the sear here to push that spring straight up with a little small arm on that spring pushing against this pin it's kind of hard to see in there what exactly is going on but that's exactly what's going on it's that spring pushing against that pen and then pushing the sear upwards I'm gonna set the trigger assembly back together we've got our trigger transfer bar here trigger when I have to this into place this is a very tight fit but which is pretty much mocking this up to get and into position just like that now we're going to rotate over we're going to take our trigger pivot pin and insert that all right triggers in place and we're going to go ahead and get our takedown lever go ahead and insert this in can I go rotate it around on the opposite side it's keyed and it's gonna lock in so you kind of just wiggle it around and it's going to drop into place now we're gonna get our takedown lever disconnect I'm going to put that into the groove I'm gonna slide over this is why I like to keep this out slightly it makes it easier to slide this into place while you're sliding this in you want to push the sear down because once again this is going to disconnect the trigger when you take your slide down today you'll have to dry fire so this is gonna do it automatically for you so once again you don't have to dry fire your pistol like you would for like a Glock or Sigma firearms like that okay so we've got that in position the reason I'm not going to push this in on the way is because this has to go in first that pin actually slides through this is the arm to push the farm pin block up to release the farm income I'm going to first put that push this in this goes in just like this but on the inside and as we push this in we're going to look from the opposite side to make sure we're in linemen before we push the pin through all right we're on linemen now we're going to push that pin it's kind of stiff I might have to bust out the hammer because of that sear spring pushing against it but nope I was able to wiggle it forward all right that's all the way and that's also gonna keep the pin in for your C if you're a pivot pin it's going to keep it from coming out while you're shooting or operating the firearm fully assembled alright we're almost getting completely gun here all right we're gonna slide this in this is the out of battery discharge this this is gonna be able or disable your trigger transfer bar so if you pull the trigger it doesn't engage the seer and I'll make the gun not fire so that you don't get injured we don't want to get injured while shooting all right this is our trigger return spring there's a group of top here we're going to slide this through the chassis at this point I like to get the pliers and we're going to pull this back and loop it into the trigger transfer bar there's a little hook hole there and that's gonna hook in right there pretty easy to put in all right we almost got a complete trigger assembly here got one more part and that is our slight stop and a rotate around bring this down there's a little ledge on the bottom of this the springs gonna sit on that kind of find it easier if you actually kind of pull some of the spring outwards to put this in so if it's like hanging over it's easy to get that ledge I'm Georgia knee that spring and let's see if we get that yeah doesn't want to fly down there BAM and that's it n-nope know it's in or put the trigger assembly back together I like to do a couple function tests just to make sure we didn't miss anything the slide stop I like to push it up make sure it's got tension and then it automatically pushes itself down if it doesn't push itself down then it's put together backwards and it's gonna push the spring up and then you're gonna have your side lock back every time you fire it do fun so it's coming down under spring tension let me just let it go snaps down another thing I like to test out is pulling the trigger and watching the sear go downwards and pop back up and like it's working fine it's going down popping up so we've got good spring tension there also our trigger is returning back forward good motion point we're gonna reassemble the firearm we got all the major components here got the frame we got the chassis trigger assembly then I'll go ahead and put the trigger in first I'm gonna drop it down at an angle the front of the chassis goes in first we're going to rotate it down it's going to wedge itself up front it's going to click in the back now we have our takedown and chassis retainer and I slept out in that's going to keep the chassis from coming out all right to be able to rotate your takedown down into the down position you have to push this up then you can rotate it now we put our slide back on and we're just gonna line it up with the rails slide on pull back I'm going to push our slide lock up lock our slide back then we came right to the takedown lever while the slide view back forward insert magazine magazine locks in we're going to do a couple of function tests dry fire to fire arm pull the five back trigger reset amazing releases pull the slide completely back slide locks back on the last round there you go are you a symbol that seemed like it took forever so it's quite difficult gun to take apart put back together I mean look it's just small small guns are just there's less surface area to hold on to to move parts around and reassemble it's definitely not the easiest trigger assembly to put back together but hey man it works great really nice trigger I don't know if anyone's planning on making some aftermarket triggers for it but if you can't go ahead and do it I mean it's pretty sweet as is but if you can make a better one I would like to check it out the magazine reverse to make it left-handed a little difficult to do but I'm glad that they offer that so if you're left-handed you can definitely reverse it and make the gun a little bit easier for you to operate this was pretty much a viewers request for this video a lot of people were asking about how to disassemble the trigger assembly on the sig and also how to take the firing pin out I'm not sure why you would want to take the trigger assembly apart but sure why not let's do a video on it maybe if you took your chassis out and something fell out you would know how to put it back in sig did a pretty good job I find everything stays in there pretty well but we did the video I hope you all enjoyed this like us on facebook follow us on instagram subscribe to us on youtube everything's at shoot wise and you trolls out there keep on commenting I love to read those comments at night their funniest [ __ ] also if you have anything good that you would like for us to do a video on or any questions definitely comment I would love to answer them best I can and this was pretty sweet just guessing on how to take this gun apart it went pretty pretty easy I guess I could have been worse I've seen other guns that are way harder to take apart and put back together so glad we did this video Oh
