there have been some people that have suggested that this idea of a pre-tribulation rapture which is the concept that jesus christ at some point in the future unknown to us is going to return and he's going to meet us in the clouds and he is going to rescue the church and take us to heaven so that we would be spared during the seven year tribulation period there are many that will say hey you know what that is not biblical there's not enough proof the rapture is a hoax it's not going to happen but in this video we're going to talk about whether there is enough support biblically to support the idea of a pre-tribulation rapture coming up hey my friend welcome back to the beat my name is alan parr thank you so much for tuning in if this is your first time here it's a pleasure and hey if you want to know the entire story of the bible i got a free ebook for you click the link in the description box below if you enjoyed this video consider subscribing hit that little bell notification so you won't miss a beat now before i get into this video i'm drawing quite a bit of what i have understood about the rapture from this book along with probably a hundred other books that i've read about end time events but this is a really good one by a man by the name of dr david reagan it's called god's plan for the ages i will put a link to this book in the description box below now we're going to talk about four different evidences that we can look at in the scriptures to suggest or to prove that jesus indeed is going to rapture the church before the seven year tribulation period let's get into it the first is the most basic and i've covered this in another video that i did on the rapture but it's the scriptural reference so if we just look at the scriptures there's at least four or five scriptures that we want to look at the first one is first thessalonians chapter 1 verse 10 which says and to wait for his son from heaven whom he raised from the dead even jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come so once again we see here that the scriptures seem to suggest that jesus is going to rescue us or rapture us from this wrath that is to come rather than keeping us or preserving us while he's pouring out his wrath on those who are present on the earth another one would be romans 5 and 9 much more than having now been justified by his blood we shall be saved from wrath through him once again if the tribulation period is all about god pouring out his wrath on the earth then how could we be saved from it if we are still in it all right and then let's look at a third one first thessalonians chapter 5 verse 9 once again says for god did not appoint us to wrath but to obtain salvation through our lord jesus christ that goes without saying right we're not appointed or destined to experience the wrath of god for no apparent reason here's another one that's relatively difficult to understand it's in 2 thessalonians chapter 2 verses 7 and 8. it says he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way and then the lawless one will be revealed now i don't have time to unpack this entire passage but if you look at this passage it's talking about the coming of the antichrist and basically one of the things that's going to happen before the antichrist comes is that there's going to be a restraining force that is going to be removed from the earth as this scripture says this idea of a restraining force is something that is present now on the earth that is keeping the entire power of evil from going forward on the earth it's restraining the force of evil right so there are several different interpretations on what this restrainer is but the one that makes the most sense is the church the body of christ because we are the restraining force that is hindering a full blunt or if you will of of evil to penetrate and permeate our world if the church is removed from this world then there is no restraining of evil left and evil can run rampant so this passage suggests that this restraining force i.e the church must be removed before the antichrist comes which means that we would be raptured before the seven year tribulation period evidence number two of a pre-tribulation rapture is symbolic evidence in other words there are certain symbols or types in the bible that seem to suggest or point to the fact that we are going to be raptured before this wrath is to come two examples in the old testament would be the story of noah and the story of lot and what you'll see here is that in both of these situations god didn't put them in the wrath and protect them but rather god removed them from his wrath completely so that he could focus his destruction and his wrath on those who were disobedient and unrighteous first and foremost look at the story of noah ii peter chapter 2 it says this and did not spare the ancient world but saved noah one of eight people a preacher of righteousness bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly so once again we see here that god wanted to punish those who were ungodly so he did not mix up noah and his family with the ungodly and in somehow protecting noah in the midst of the flood he removed noah completely from this destruction so that he could focus his destruction on the ungodly but let's continue it also says here and turning the cities of sodom and gomorrah into ashes condemned them to destruction making them an example to those who would afterward would live ungodly and delivered righteous lot who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked so once again we see that when god wanted to destroy the cities of sodom and gomorrah he didn't say hey lord i want you to stay in these cities and i'll just protect you while you're there no he said i'm going to remove you completely from these cities so that i can focus my destruction on evil sodom and gomorrah these are just a couple of examples or types of how god deals with righteous people in the midst of his judgment now there is another relationship that we need to look at which is our relationship with jesus christ and in the scriptures this is oftentimes typified by the jewish wedding ceremony let me explain in the jewish culture what would happen is you would have a courtship period or a period where the groom would court the bride and once that happens then the groom would leave his bride go back to his father's home and spend some time preparing a home for his coming bride and that home would just be an add-on to his father's home and the bride would always have to stay ready because she never knew when her groom was going to come back and return for her so that he could bring her to his father's house that he had been preparing well if we just stop right there and we look at that analogy we can say that for the last two thousand years or so since christ has ret as has left he has been preparing a home for those of us who place our faith in him i.e the body of christ we know that because if we look at john chapter 14 jesus says i'm going away so that i may prepare a place for you in my father's house there are many mansions if it were not so i would have told you so this is obviously a connection with the jewish wedding ceremony but what would happen is when that groom would return for the bride then he would take her back to his father's house and they would live in the house that he built for them and they would be locked in there for seven days now wouldn't you love it if you had seven days after you got married to just be locked in the same room with your spouse if this analogy is true then the seven year tribulation period corresponds to the seven days when the groom is going to take his bride back to the home that he built in his father's home now you have to admit that's a really cool analogy now in the jewish wedding ceremony after the seven days would then be the wedding ceremony or the wedding feast this once again is consistent with the events that we see happening in the book of revelation because after the tribulation period there is a wedding ceremony or a wedding feast where jesus the groom is going to be united with us the bride of christ and there is going to be a wedding celebration so this is even further evidence that the rapture of the church should be placed before the tribulation period occurs rather than in the middle of the seven year period or at the end of the seven year period now the third type of evidence that we're going to look at in this video is what dr reagan refers to as logical evidence now i'm gonna warn you up front that this is for advanced bible prophecy students only but we're gonna try to break it down and make it real simple the bible teaches that at the end of the 1000 year millennial reign where those of us who are believers will rule and reign with christ on earth during a time which will be characterized by righteousness peace and joy at the end of these thousand years the scripture says this is what is going to happen now you got to follow the logic in order to piece this all together it says here in revelation 20 now when the thousand years have expired satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth gog and magog to gather them together to battle whose number is as the sand of the sea now i want you to follow this logic if there are people that will be able to be deceived by the devil at the end of these thousand years that means that there must be unsaved people that are on the earth during the millennial kingdom now because only saved people will enter into the millennial kingdom that means that unsaved people had to be born at some point during the 1000 year millennial kingdom now the only way that people can procreate is if they have a natural body because the bible says that whenever we are raptured we will put on a imperishable incorruptible body because we will then have a resurrected glorified body and we will be like christ so that means that no one who is raptured will be able to procreate during the 1000 year millennial kingdom because we will be in resurrected bodies and the bible says that we will be like the angels who neither marry nor are given in marriage and so that means that the people that will be able to procreate during this time are only the believers who have come out of the tribulation period and then they go directly into the 1 000 year millennial kingdom they are never raptured therefore they never receive any sort of glorified or resurrected body now let's follow this logic if you place the rapture at the end of the seven year period that means that everyone who is either saved now or basically everyone who is a christian at the end of these seven years is going to be raptured and therefore receive a glorified body if that is the case then who is going to be present to be able to go into the 1 000 year millennial kingdom and procreate it won't be possible to procreate and if it is not possible to procreate then that means that there will be no unsaved people being born nobody will be born during the tribulation period which means it'll be impossible for satan to be released and to deceive some people which means this prophecy will not be able to be fulfilled my friends the only thing that makes logical sense is for there to be a rapture that occurs before the seven year tribulation period we get our glorified bodies there's a period of time when those who are not raptured will come to a saving faith in christ but they will still be in their physical bodies and they will be the ones that will procreate during the millennial kingdom and some of their offspring will be unsaved and therefore will be deceived by the devil okay i don't know if that made any sense but hopefully it's a lot clearer now now as further logical evidence for a pre-tribulation rapture the idea is this the whole purpose of the tribulation period is for god to pour out his wrath on those who are on the earth now dr david reagan returning now back to the concept or the analogy of us being the bride of christ says this furthermore it makes no sense to say that jesus is going to beat up his bride for seven years during the tribulation before coming to fetch her for the wedding what kind of bridegroom would do such a thing what bride would look forward lovingly to being united to such a bride groom okay and the fourth and final piece of evidence for what i believe is a pre-tribulation rapture is this idea of imminence now this is the idea that we are told several times in scripture that we need to be ready we need to be on alert we need to have our lamps ready and trimmed because we don't know when christ is going to return in the same way as that bride never knew the exact time when her groom was going to come and claim her and take her back so if that is the case then how can we say that the rapture is going to occur at an unknown time if it's going to occur at the end of the tribulation period because we know that there are certain things that have to take place during the tribulation we know that the antichrist has to be revealed we know that there has to be another temple that is built in in uh jewish temple we also know that there has to be a peace treaty that's that's signed for the nation of israel so if we know these things we can sit back now and be like you know what i don't really have to work i don't have to worry i have to wait because i know that jesus isn't going to come back at any time right now because these things have not yet been fulfilled but once again scripture seems to suggest that we should live our lives constantly being alert to the possibility that christ could return at any time the last quote i'll give you from dr reagan's book he says we are exhorted to live looking for jesus christ not the antichrist and i think that's a fitting place to end this video listen we're not out here trying to look and see when the antichrist has come we're supposed to keep our antennas focused because at any time christ could return for his church did any of that make sense that i just talked about for the last 10 15 minutes i hope so but let me just say that i respect people who have other views on the rapture i'm going to come back and do more videos in terms of some of the counter arguments to the pre-tribulation rapture i'm going to talk about what are some of the arguments for a mid-tribulation or a post-tribulation rapture and what is the reason why some people believe in that so if you want me to do more videos on this let me know and i will put them in the queue let me know in your in the comments do you do you agree do you disagree what is your view on the rapture let me know in the comments below if you found this video helpful in any way feel free to share it with a friend also if you haven't done so already i
