good to be in the house of the lord this morning where we worship god in spirit and in truth for this morning's invocation uh i'd like to welcome all of those that are with us here physically in the church and all those that are worshiping with us virtually to all of our visitors we are honored and blessed by your presence and we are thankful that you will be worship worshiping with us this morning for this morning's spiritual encouragement i'd like to invite you to the book of psalms psalms 100 and i will read into your hearing verses one through five and it reads make a joyful noise unto the lord all ye lands serve the lord with gladness come before his presence with singing know ye that the lord he is god it is he that have made us and not we ourselves we are his people and the sheep of his pasture entering into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name for the lord is good his mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations please bow with me as we petition god in prayer dad it is once again that we humbly bow with honor and praises and thanksgiving because you have richly blessed us you have blessed us from the earliest of our existence down to this present moment in this season uh you have blessed us we are praying that we put aside all the cares of this world whatever they may be so that we can worship you in spirit and in truth this morning we are thankful for the message that will come this morning we hope trust and pray that all the things that we hear learn and read we will apply them to our everyday lives so that we will be better christians in the future than we have been in the past we honor you we love you we praise you in your son's name amen morning church i don't know about you but i know i'm always thankful and just blessed for anything that the lord provides for me so i'm happy to be here with everybody and uh we're gonna sing a few verses of uh any way you is [Applause] [Music] good morning church good to be here another day god has blessed us to see another day and that we are so grateful amen our scripture texts will be taken from [Music] the book of psalms chapter 1 13 and we shall be reading verses 1 through 3 and i'll be reading from the niv translation praise the lord praise o servant of the lord praise the name of the lord let the name of the lord be praised both now and forever from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets the name of the lord is to be praised thank god for the reading of his word pray that we might make the application to our own lives let us go to our father in prayer at this time dear father in heaven we come to you this morning dear god thanking you de god for being so good to us the god we thank you for our lying down last night was not in depth and you touched us with the thing of love this morning a lie allowed us to rise to see a brand new day they were never seen before we thank you to god thank you thank you dear father for all of our families that they are well as they are amen we pray to god that you will continue to bless us in this service as we render it unto you that you will get the glory and the honor we thank you to god for the sacrifice that you made through your son jesus you allowed him to come to this world he hung bled and died for the sins of all mankind and dear god we thank you for that god you've been good to us amen you give us another day we pray now the father for those that are less fortunate than we are those that are sick in the hospital those that in nursing home or just recovering at home we just pray for all under god that you might extend your healing power to god and please dear god heal their bodies make them whole again that they might be able to uh meet with us again dear father we pray also for those that have lost a loved one we have had many deaths in this family their father we just pray for those that are recovering or trying to get their mind back together after losing loved one we just pray god you will strengthen them and encourage them through your word your word is there to encourage all of us and we pray to god that they might be encouraged bless all of those that are traveling to god whether on highways or in the air we just pray to god that they may have safe passage to and from their destination pray for this city dear god pray dear god for all of the violence that are going on across this city we know that god that there's a better way we pray god that we will practice more love than hate learn to love one another and not hate one another to god we pray for all of our young people we're losing them very rapidly dear god we pray to god that you will bless them and keep them safe and allow those satan to just get behind them dear god we pray for not only just for our city but we pray also for our state and our government we pray to god that all of those that have been put in place to make decision that they would make the right decision for all mankind that everyone would be treated equally we pray not only just for our city government and state we pray also for the foreign country we pray for those that are trying to get out of haiti to god and been moved back into that era we pray that we will that you will bless them in a special way they have been devastated with earthquakes and all kind of uh issues in that country but we pray for them to god that you will bless them in a special way that we will do in this country what we can to help and assist bless our country to god our nation we know that you in ruler of all and you have the found say and we just pray god that you would just reach out and touch all of us we pray to god that you will bless us in taking the vaccination to god for we know that with your power you can eradicate this virus from the land but we pray that we would do what we need to do in order to assist continue to bless all of our first responders the doctors nurses and all of those out on the front line working on our behalf to keep us all safe and to keep us with food clothing and shelter thank you again for god for being so good to us and we pray that you will continue to bless our speaker as he come before us today give him the search word that he have studied that he might break unto us the bread of life and we will we will have what we need to know and to do in order to become a christian in jesus name we do pray amen [Music] as we prepare our hearts and our minds to listen to the brother present the lord's word we're woke us up this morning started each of us on our way thank him because he watched over us as we slumbered and slept brought us to this place this morning to be able to get up walk talk see listen here oh it's just wonderful to praise the lord we are so happy and grateful today to see those that are here as well as in our virtual audience and we want you to know that there's nobody like jesus we are just elated to be with you this morning we hope the message that we have will be encouraging uplifting to each and every one of us uh we know we have been looking at the thing [Music] uh entitled uh say his name god matter if there ever was a time that that god matters the time is right now we're living in some uh very rough time uh you know it's shooting every day as we turn on the news and we hear about all this uh destruction that's going on and young folks are being uh killed and we we're living in some rough time but we come this morning to hope that we can encourage us as we go through these rough times that we will understand that there is somebody to sit high there is somebody that sit on the throne there is somebody that controls the universe there is somebody that control man there is somebody that controlled the world and he holds this whole world in the hollow of his hand and i'm so glad this morning to be one of his children because when you're one of his children you don't have to worry about all the destruction around you you just allow yourself to be in his bosom and allow him to protect you and to be able to shield you from all that is going on around you i'm just glad to be with you once again and we hope that the message we have chose from the book of psalms 113 verses 1-3 will be something to give you uh a array of hope and a ray of encouragement to know that long as we have a savior we have somebody protecting us as we look at the verse in psalms we see that the bible says praise ye the lord praise o ye servant of the lord praise the name of the lord blessed be the name of the lord from this time forth forevermore then verse 3 from the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the lord name is to be praised i stopped by this morning to just introduce to some and to present to others the subject praise ye the lord we must understand today if there ever was a time that we needed to praise the lord the time is right now when we look at the book of psalms it is one of the harlot psalms holla is a uh word in the greek that means praise these psalms were sung by pilgrims as they made their way to jerusalem for the various feasts days in israel these psalms were used to prepare the heart of the pilgrim for worship they served to remind the worshipers of the greatness and the glory of god they served to remind the worshipers that they were on their way to exalt a majestic glorious god and that he was worthy of all the praises they could offer to him that's what we need to do today is we need to understand as worshipers that god is truly worthy to be praised as we consider the time of the year into which we are entering we are entering into the holidays and we entering into our special days and we've been going through this pandemic and there's been a lot of sickness and there's been a lot of death but we need to stop and take the time to count our blessings we need to consider that god who gave us uh our blessings we we need to assess the state of worship of god as well uh when we look at the verse number one in our subject today in psalms 113 praise ye the lord i want to show you some truth in this verse and speak to us about our having a spiritual thanksgiving and praise for the lord god almighty i want to preach from the for a few minutes on praise ye the lord i got three points i like to make this morning one of the points is uh there's a command for praise there's a condition for praise and there's a continuation for praise is that all right oh i know it's all right but when we can praise the lord we are on our way to being elevated to a different level some might say why do we praise the lord well our things say say his name god matter reggie we praise the lord because he forgives and forget jehovah el nah we praise the lord because not only does he forgive and he forgets well we praise the lord because he sanctified and satisfied uh jehovah macadis oh we have many reasons to praise the lord because we have many names when we say his name god matter if there ever was a time that god matter the time is right now we're just so glad and so grateful to be able to call on the lord when we need him and he may not come just when we want but he's always right on time if you ever have went through some sickness if you ever had some depth in your family if you ever had some problems and situations in your home if you're wedding or marriage wasn't going right if your children wasn't acting right you can always drop on your knees and look up to the sky and call on him and he will come not when you want him but he's always right on time praise the lord this morning somebody ought to say something because there is a command to praise the lord this morning when the jews thought about praise they thought about it in terms of a sacrifice of the tabernacle in leviticus chapter 7 we give the instructions for an offering known as the peace offering this was an offering given now to thank the lord because of his great blessings of his people it was an expression of faith love and thanksgiving the peace offering was a free will offering it was always given out of the heart of gratitude thanksgiving and love for the lord we no longer require to observe the leviticus offering but we still have an obligation to surrender our praises to the lord today look at our homes look at our schools look at all the things that's happening around us we need to continue to praise the lord why brother thomas we need to praise him for who he is and for all that he have done for each and every one of us that's why it is a command to praise the lord if you're able to get up in the morning and go to work move see and do the things that you can do without any help or aid that's something to say praise the lord there are many folks that are in hospital beds nursing homes that cannot help themself this morning but we stopped by this morning to tell you praise the lord why brother thomas because he's worthy to be praised the psalmist says praise you the lord hallelujah prays this word refers to a price or the value of something we praise uh we understand and we worship according to the value of god do is god any value to any of us yes he created the heaven and the earth he set the stars in the sky he set the cloud the moon the sun oh yes he's worthy to be praised now i don't know about you but i'm so glad that i'm a child of god and i'm commanded to praise the lord and savior jesus christ you will find ways to render praises to his name when you're down and out you'll find ways to understand that because you praise him that things go better in your life being connected with our lord and savior jesus christ what motivated us to praise him we are motivated through the love that he gave he gave his son to come down the porticoes of glory hung on yonder's cross died of crude death got up for conquering savior but yet he let us know that all power is in the palm of his hand he's a hard regulator psalm 57 and seven he met we meditate on his works and his ways psalms 77 and 11 we recount his benefits psalms 103 and verse 2 we dwell on the unspeakable gifts that he gives us second corinthians chapter 9 and verse 15 oh we may ask ourselves how do we praise the lord we praise him by shouting out hallelujah thank you jesus not one day but every day when we get up out of the bed when we get up and walk and take one step after another we have something to shout about not only that but we can also praise him by lifting our hands up just telling them thank you lord because you've been so good to me and when we lift our hand we know that he we can lean on him that we can invest in him that we can trust in him and that we can truly follow him lord jesus help me this morning i feel pretty good this morning i'm talking about our lord and savior jesus christ we can praise him when we sing as you heard the melodious voices this morning sometimes we come to the house of worship and we sing songs like soon and very soon we come to the house of worship and we sing songs like have a little talk with jesus we come to the house of god and we sing songs like he's so wonderful to me we come to the house of god and we know that he's at the cross oh i don't know about you this morning i don't know about you out there in the virtual world but you need to praise him because he's worthy to be praised we praise him with our whole heart psalms 9 and verse 1 and 2. when do we praise him we may ask we praise him as the psalmist says when the sun rises well how long preacher will they to the sunset lord help me this morning we praise him when the sun come up and we praise him all day long to when the sun go down we just praise our lord we praise him in the midst of the congregation sometimes you know a preacher be preaching the word of god and you'll be sitting in the audience and you hear the preacher preaching he's telling the truth and he's exegeting the text and he's giving you some uplifting statements in the word and you just want to clap your hand because you understand that what the preacher is saying concerning our lord and savior jesus christ is all right this morning and that's why you can praise him in the midst of the congregation we can praise him before the world it's nothing to be ashamed of to tell folks that i am a child of god that i walk by faith and not by sight not one day but every day of my life i'm trying to tell folks how to praise god he woke me up this morning he started me on my way he gave me everything that i have and i'm so glad about it because i'm praising them each and every day i praise them from the sunrise to the sun go down all because i love him so praise the lord this morning there's a condition for his prayer i'll be through in a minute i just feel good when i talk about jesus i just feel good when i know we can praise him from the sunrise to the sun said the condition for his praise we praise the lord because the bible says the lord is good the word good mean acceptable pleasant agreeable that's a reason to praise somebody that's good did you hear what i said acceptable pleasant and agreeable we praise him because he is a good god how do you know brother thomas well i know because when mary and martha huh had a brother named lazarus his brother lazarus was sick on the verge of dying the word went out to the good god and said come because our brother lazarus is sick and because he's a good god i told you he may not come when you want them but andre he's right on time he didn't come right away but he's a good god he came oh he came and when he got there oh martha ran out to meet him say didn't they tell you lord didn't they tell you that our brother lazarus is gone oh y'all don't get it y'all don't get it i'm talking about he's a good god that's why we praise him because he's a good god he's acceptable he's pleasant and he's agreeable so when he got there he just told martha one thing stephen he said tell me take me where you live that's all he had to say why because he's a good god ah he's a good his goodness transcends time place people and event all his goodness is all the time in the face of every event of life he is good in the light and he's good in the dark he's good on the mountaintop and he's good in the valley he's good in the day of blessings and he's good in the day of pain he's good in the day of peace and he's good in the day of turmoil he's good in life and he's good in depth he's good in rejoicing he's good in weeping he's good in shouting he's good in sorrow he's good in plenty and he's good in poverty he's good in health and he's good in sickness he's good in the day and he's good at night oh he's a good god and that's why we have the condition to praise him he's acceptable he's pleasant and agreeable he told martha just take me where you laid and when he got there he called his name lazarus oh lazarus and he came forth they didn't know or didn't understand that he was a good god and he is the resurrection of life this morning as i descend my final point is as a continuation of his praise our praises must go on from the sunrise all the way to the sunset we need to praise him because he is worthy to be praised he choose and chose us ephesians one and four he called us john 6 44. he converted us first peter 1 23 he adopted us romans 8 and 15 he placed our name in the book of lamb of life when we are obedient to his word luke chapter 10 and verse 20. he is coming back as a thief in the night for us matthew i mean first thessalonians 4 16 and 18. he is talking to us because he want to take us home one day all because he's worthy to be praised this morning there may be somebody out there in the virtual world that has not praising the lord as they ought to we plead and we invite you today to get connected with the lord through hearing his word the preached word of how he came he died got up for concurrency believe in his word repent transition your life where you too can praise ye the lord from the sunrise to the sunset and then confess his name one of the sweetest names that was ever more bumbled by man tom and then you too can go down in the watery grave of baptism come up a new creature in christ jesus shouting free at last free at last thank god almighty i'm free at last praise him because he's worthy to be praised this morning praise he the lord there may be somebody in the audience they need prayer this morning there may be somebody in the ordin just needs strength there may be somebody in the audience this morning that just needs an answer to a problem or a solution i come to tell you today the answer is not in man the answer is not in a book the answer is in jesus christ he said if i be lifted up i'll draw all men unto me let us go to god in prayer father god we come this morning thanking you for your darling son who came down to porticos of glory hung bled and died on yonder's cross but he got up a conquering savior allowing us the opportunity to praise him and we ask you lord to continue to bless each of us give us the strength we need to walk by faith and not by sight not one day but every day of our lives help us in this world that we live in lord give us motivation to tell folks about jesus help the young people help our government help the world lord we are in pearless times but one thing we have to look forward to and that is praising your name for when we praise your thing you can elevate us to another level a level of comfort a level of peace a level of calmness a level of celebration because we know your son came died and bled on cavalry cross but he got up a conquering savior and for that lord i am eternally grateful in jesus name amen we thank you this morning for tuning in and being with us as we spoke on praise ye the lord we ask you to continue to reach out to the sheldon which we are the partakers of the lord's supper we find in acts 20 and 7 that on the first day of the week the disciples came together to break bread i will be reading for your hearing from the book of matthew chapter 26 verses 46 to 56 and it reads [Music] up let us be going look my betrayer is here jesus is betrayed and arrested and even as jesus said this judas one of the twelve disciples arrived with a crowd of men armed with swords and clubs they have been sent by the leading priests and elders of the people the traitor judas had given them a pre-arranged signal you will know which one to arrest when i greet him with a kiss so judas came straight to jesus greetings rabbi he acclaimed and gave him the kiss jesus said my friend go ahead and do what you have come to do then the others grabbed jesus and arrested him but one of the men with jesus pulled out his sword and struck the high priest slave slashing off his ear put away your sword jesus told him those who use the sword will die by the sword don't you realize that i could ask my father for thousands of angels to protect us and he will send them instantly but if i did how would the scriptures be fulfilled and describe what must happen now then jesus said to the crowd i am some dangerous revolutionary that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me why didn't you arrest me in the temple i was there teaching every day but this is all happening to fulfill the words of the prophet as recorded in scriptures at that point all the disciples deserted him and fled let us bow as we give thanks kind gracious heavenly father it's in thy son jesus name that we come before you thanking you for all the many blessings father father we realize it is in the name of jesus that salvation has been given father we want to thank you because you have shown us your love for us by giving your son to us father we want to thank your son for being obedient and going through with this in order for us to have salvation father we ask you to bless this bread which symbolized christ's broken body father we asked you to bless the cup which symbolized christ's blood that he shed on calvary's cross father we pray that when we take this communion it will be both pleasing and acceptable these and all of the blessings we ask in the name of jesus christ amen you may now take your communion we'll [Music] good morning church it is an absolute blessing to be with you on today we're so thankful for the message from speaker brother thomas on this morning amen amen so it has set the table for what i'm here to do on this morning just to remind us of the awesome opportunity we have to give back to the lord we're so thankful for this congregation for your efforts we know that your efforts are they originate from the teachings of the lord how he has commanded us to give back to him we know that both in the first and the second book of corinthians it gives us instructions on how to give in the mindset on why we should give so we thank god for that we want to just read one scripture for you and and we'll pray just for encouraging words uh but before we do that we also want to remind you that this is the last sunday for the give plus app we are moving to to a new mobile app called vanco there's been several announcements and also this information is in the bulletin we know that we sometimes need appreciate all your efforts we know god has really blessed us here at this congregation as we not only have served this church and community but we also serve internationally uh trying to do the work of the lord now for the scripture just one scripture we know brother thomas and his message today talk to focused us on why we should praise why we should give our efforts back to the lord even in tough times like this galatians chapter 6 verse 9 says and let us not be weary in well-doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint not so we need to just continue to do what the lord has commanded us and given us this opportunity to do to praise him to give to do his work his will to give back to him so that others can come to him before it is everlasting too late let us pray father in heaven we are so thankful for this opportunity to give back to you on today we just pause and we recognize that the gifts that you have given us father that if we just hesitate we can't number the amount of blessings that you have given to us you are blessing us even right now father so we thank thee we thank thee that as you have blessed us to be your children you have commanded us to give back to you we're so thankful for this serving church this brotherhood this faithful brother and brother collection of saints that gives back to you gives back to you the in order that we'll be able to continue to do your work and your will bless us in our efforts those members father who are not working at this time who may be struggling continue to bless them we pray they will continue to encourage them we'll we'll continue just to remind them father that if they keep their hand in your hand everything will be all right be with us as we move further in this service this prayer we ask in your son's christ's name amen [Music] and the uh the last song that we're going to sing before we close out our services today is going to be him number 326 leaning on the everlasting r again him blessing to be here on today lifting up the lord and praises and hymns and songs and spiritual hymns and the message that we had today was uplifting my brother brother thomas so thank you for the opportunity to serve you this morning father god let's go to you in prayer father god we're so thankful for your grace and your mercy you showed to us throughout our lifetimes and the blessings still to come heavenly father we're so humbled to be called christians we hope you are worthy to serve your name our lord and savior jesus christ we go through our day-to-day activities father will you please watch over us and our families keep us safe from hurt harm and dangers we travel to and fro back and forth be with our young people as they travel back and forth to school to work keep them safe on our streets father god we've been so blessed bless you looking over us and forgiving us of what we have done father continue to bless us in a mighty way we're just so thankful for this opportunity to serve you father god as we leave this place we hope and pray you watch over us and our family members and keep those safe that are sick those that are shut in those families that are going through bereavement at this time continue to bless them and keep them under your care father god we're so humble to come before you in prayer thank you lord for your sacrifices for our sins died a cruel death on the cross for our sins and we're just so humbling and thankful for your opportunity to serve you we hope and pray the things we did today was pleasing accepted in your sight in the
