tell them i know he is worthy turn to someone else and tell him that's the reason i'm at church tonight hallelujah praise the lord church he's worthy so we have to keep telling our testimonies tonight's testimony is from sister lisa kaufman a while back dr bruffett's oldest daughter phoebe came to see me when she was home on break and asked me to pray for her she was studying for the medical college admissions test for med school we all gathered in a circle and joined hands and prayed afterward i told her that if she really wanted god to help her she should have a 52-day fast meaning that she should give something up for 52 days it had to be something that she really liked to do or eat it had to be a sacrifice she immediately told me that she loves tick-tock i didn't know what that was but she started that day she said that she would not look at it again until she tested and got her results back that's been well over a month ago and she told me just this month that she got her results she passed with flying colors i reminded her to give god the glory sister lisa kaufman [Applause] [Music] hallelujah isn't it amazing how the reach of this church is so impacting and it reaches beyond these walls into other communities other families other denominations and we're thankful that we get to be a part of that we're thankful for what god wants to do through first pentecostal church and so much of that happens through our online ministry and we thank god for that opportunity ushers if you would come right down to the front we're going to be blessed this evening hallelujah just remain standing with me tonight i want to remind you parents make sure on sunday nights you get your young people here sixth through eighth grade our new youth choir and then of course ninth grade and up we want to encourage you to be a part of the mass choir and we've got some really exciting things happening here at first pentecostal church in the month of october you don't want to miss it and i want to remind you about spanish-speaking services friday evening in the chapel at eight and then calvary academy rummage sale you can drop your items off tomorrow evening and thursday evening between four and eight the sale is on friday evening and saturday and then mid-america conference is going to be a great time here at fpc people are going to be coming in from all over the country and i want to encourage this church to be here to support what god is going to do during those two evenings we won't have church on that tuesday night we'll have church it'll multiply it'll be thursday and friday night thursday night brother andrew parks will be preaching friday night brother gary robinson will be preaching and it's going to be a great time and then the very last day of the month october 31st we're going to have something we've never had here at this church and that is an all nation sunday it's going to be a wonderful time we want to encourage you to be a part of it they have sent out i know a link asking for nationalities within the church we want to have a flag here for every nationality so all of all of you from other nations we want to make sure that we represent you so make sure and let us know what country you were born in and so that we can get a flag to represent your nation and it's going to be a great time here it all will begin at 2 p.m everybody say 2 we won't have a morning service it will begin at 2 it will be a great time in the holy ghost there's going to be of course music and then brother randy williams from fort myers florida will be here preaching and after service we'll have an international food fest it's going to be a great time all different foods from all over the world that you can sample and enjoy and then there will be a concert also going on and that will happen from two church will begin at two and the whole event will conclude somewhere around six pm we're doing a time limit time frame so that when you invite people they'll know how to plan their day we want this to be an opportunity to fill this sanctuary up just like we fill it up for i am that's exactly what we want to see happen on the 31st people are looking for places to go and in the world they're celebrating halloween but in this building we're going to be celebrating the god of all nations and his name is jesus christ [Music] so feel free you're welcome to wear clothing that represents the nations of the world the choir will be dressed in multinational clothing it's just going to be a great time here something we've never done but something that i feel very strongly about we want to we want to show our our state and our our metro area that our doors are wide open to all the nations because we know that what you know what jesus said he said to pray it that what would be happening in heaven would happen on earth and if you read in revelation you're going to read where there's going to be a multitude and they're going to be from all nations all kindred all tribes and all tongues and they're going to be shouting and they're going to be praising the lord jesus christ around that throne so that's exactly what we're going to do on october 31st i want you to know about this event we've got 31 days to work on it we're going to have promotional information and and literature for you to be able to take with you this sunday morning and we want to make sure that we let this community know we want our city to know that every person here is welcome at the first pentecostal church and we give god praise for what he is doing i uh i believe there's eight baptismal certificates come on real quick that we have to present tonight and when i call your name just come right up here to this front brother max murphree [Music] make sure you don't hide your face [Music] bella [Music] evelyn [Applause] hallelujah come on let's give god praise for these young people that have been baptized in the only saving name the name of jesus they've received the baptism of the holy ghost too is it god amazing isn't he wonderful his truth endureth to all generations oh let's bless him [Applause] and we know that the revival that's taking place in this church is because of prayer and i want to tell you that 403 prayer warriors came by the house of god last monday and we give god praise for that when you combine all the days together with the school there were 3729 people calling on the name of jesus this past week hey don't ever forget that what we're seeing in our children and in our church is a direct reflection of what we're doing when we pray and when we pray things happen things change people get the holy ghost and healings take place oh come on let's give god praise one more time as the bishop comes to deliver the word of god to us hallelujah well thank the lord are we a blessed people yes amen it's good to have brother wilson here tonight god bless him back home yes we love you brother wilson all of our guests that have come to worship the lord we love you thank you for being here tonight to lift up jesus hallelujah thank the lord well let me separate myself a little bit from my son and just tell you he's certainly doing a great job [Music] and i can assure you this is no small task amen just administrating and then uh preaching the word of the lord and they're just both over the top amen and i think tomorrow tomorrow does the connect uh cafe open to 11 o'clock so come on about a thousand of you show up and test them out they got a brand new menu and it's all beautiful and great it's gonna be wonderful hallelujah just give you every reason the world to come to church that's right come to church to pray come to church to eat come to church to fellowship come to church to get your exercise well you can walk around the building whatever amen every reason in the world to come to the house of the lord to lift up the name of the lord i want to thank this church again for your prayers and and his response was overwhelming that sunday and i just thank you for your love and the help of me and i'm telling you it's it seemed like every day i can feel a brand new feeling of uh back to what it used to be like so i thank god for it amen it's thank you for helping me get through this trial and i'm indebted to everybody in this house and i never knew that chemo was such tough jell-o but thank god through your prayers and the good god of heaven we just drank that bitter water and beat that tambourine right on through it and i'm not gonna stop tonight what a good god we serve amen and i come here tonight and see this house i mentioned to brother wilson amazing crowd to fill this house on a tuesday night you can see we're not far from needing to expand find another auditorium about twice this size or three times and fill it up again this city needs god hallelujah somebody calls the big church and i think about it's not nearly big enough when you have about i'm sure there's around 200 000 people that pass in front of this church every day and all of them need this holy ghost hallelujah praise god well i wonder if you're going to help me for a little bit my heart is burdened my heart is full i told son text him here the other day and said at some point i feel something on my heart to preach i've never done that since i've been sitting over there on the side and i said but it doesn't matter when well he tried to get me to do it sunday morning and i said no you've been gone you need to preach to your church and then he said we'll do it tuesday night i said okay so if you'll help me oh by the holy ghost here for a little bit i believe god has laid something on my heart and i believe it's like a revelation that i have seen from the lord and i can tell you from the outset what it is i will never look at a child like i did previous to this past friday the holy ghost spoke to my heart and burdened me thank god for our young people and i want to tell you right now i don't never want to hear it again that they're the church of tomorrow the church of the future they're that but they're more than that they're the church of right now they're the church of right now and i believe we've got an army that we need to wake up and let them feel the responsibility of living for god it's sad in our culture that they honestly parents say oh they gotta sow their wild oats and they gotta get out and act crazy for a while i i'd detest that i rebuked that spirit parents shouldn't feel that away you ain't got no time to lose young people you don't have any business sowing no wild oats you need to get on track in your life and live for god [Music] oh everybody join in speak to us holy ghost talk to us tonight in this place in the name of jesus christ thank you for standing you can be seated i want to preach to you from this title protecting fpc's most valuable asset and that's our children protecting first pentecostal churches the most valuable asset we have is our precious children and if i could rephrase that i'd do it this way protecting and training everybody say training fpc's most valuable asset and that's our wonderful young people of this church help us god help us and i trust tonight that the burden and the revelation and what i've seen gets on everybody in this house and god will let you feel that and see feel that burden for these precious young people and that you will have the revelation of it that you can see the importance of how god deals with young people sometimes we get to thinking and you know this was just a perfect night in a perfect setting because i thought when all these young people were up here that had gotten baptized too many times people look at that and they say oh it's just a child no it's a soul and did you know you know what sometimes we rejoice thank god for the older ones that have prayed through brother james guild different ones recently god's worked miracles on up in their 70s and and we rejoice and thank god but think about these young people if god will help us to have gentle hands and keep them in this church and guide them right think about them having 50 and 60 years 70 years to give to god they got far more to give to god than an older person a man helpless god not to see them as young people but see them as workers in the kingdom and i've said it over and over and thank god for ca and you may get tired of me talking about it but you'll get over it one day because i love it so much thank god for ca that that is doing such a wonderful job yes they deserve every hand clout amen doing such a marvelous job with our children and thank god for them and i'm just oh my lord i can hardly contain myself when i think of the goodness of god when i think of how god gave that building over on north hills i'm going to tell you you talk about an absolute miracle that is an absolute miracle amen it's been a praise for over 4 million dollars and think about 500 000 bought it 43 000 square feet in the heart of our city homes within just walking distance i mean about a block away there are million multi-million dollar homes amen god put a light right in the middle of all of them they got to drive by first pentecostal church again and then they got to come on down here and drive by it again man i will tell you i got stirred up i said i pray god opens us up some more places around this city i'll tell you one thing we need amen god to give us some kind of building for all the this rummage sale and all the stuff that we could be given to help people and bless people with amen let us be a light in a dark world let us be a light in north little rock at least amen hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah so help us god help us lord jeremiah 1 and 4 the bible said then the word of the lord came unto me saying behold i formed thee in the belly i knew thee and before thy cometh forth out of the womb he said i had already sanctified thee and i had ordained thee to be a prophet unto the nations think about what jeremiah was saying god said before you even started to be formed if you don't think god knows all things he knows all things he knew it before you or even form who you was going to be and where you was going to be he said before you were even formed i had already ordained or i had already established you i'd already sanctified you you know what it means it means he had set you apart and you know we we think well that belongs to jeremiah that belongs to other people and that belongs to brother tuttle and that belongs to uh brother bass and other great preachers no it does not belong it belongs to every soul that's in this house god knew you before you were born god knew you he ordained now you can go contrary to what he ordained you can fight his will and it is amazing how people have to fight to get away from god i've watched backsliders have to fight to get out of church because the hand of god was pulling on them so hard and pulling at the tugging at their heart and i look at these beautiful young people tonight and i think about them and their life and their walk with god and god's got his hand hey young man listen to me tonight god's already got it planned for you god's already you ain't got to worry all you got to do is get on track all you got to do is listen to the word of god the pastor your parents school teachers those that love you and those that around you if you will not rebel against them if you'll open your heart up to them and you will tell them i love you mama i love you daddy i love you pastor i love you school teacher i love you sunday school teacher help me help me i want to do right and rebuke rebellion out of your heart there is no telling god will put you on track you will do great things in the kingdom of god you will be blessed abundantly god will help you and keep you in his love and in his care lift up your hands and pray with me right now o holy ghost i believe you tonight come on join with somebody come on we're going to break every yoke in this house before it's over in the name of jesus christ i believe you god i believe you god i believe you god oh lord help us rebuke the enemy that wars against the people of god and our young people give them strength and a wicked hour when lord internet is enguffin people with sin and shame give them strength to walk away and say no because they have been ordained they have been sanctified to live for you clap your hands to the lord together you can be seated the psalmist david 78-6 said that the generations to come might know them even the children which should be borned listen to me tonight this is believed the writer was david but listen to what he is saying that the generations to come might know them and even the children even the children everybody say even the children that should be born who should arise and declare them to their children what is the purpose of all this that they may set their hope in god and not forget the works of god but keep his commandments oh help us god amen that's the reason we got to keep declaring it oh jesus help us jesus help us jesus help us jesus lift our spirits up jesus help us god help us as adults that we would never criticize church preaching saints we would never find fault with music we would never find thought with singers don't tell me these children don't know how you think you got to get your thinking right you got to tell them how great god is you got to quit talking negative to them you gotta tell them it's the best thing in the world no it's not a perfect church and every song is not a perfect song and every sermon is not a perfect sermon but i want to tell you it's the best thing on this earth you're destroying you can be seated you're destroying your own children when they sense in you things that are negative about ca about teachers trying to help them oh jesus now i'm going to tell you what thank god for you know what you know why we got what such a wonderful school these people are called to do this it's in their spirit to do this you'd have to have a calling for anybody to lock you up in a room with 27 children and you spend your day five days a week with them and they come home with some twisted story and you believe what they say and then you slap them across the face which you should not do because they did something crazy at home but you don't believe they do crazy things at school everybody say he's preaching yeah say he's preaching the truth too yeah amen why do you get on to him at home if you think they turn into angels when you let him out of that car at 8 30 and they're angels till 3 30 no they're not [Applause] is everybody happy so far are you getting the revelation yet here it is solomon said it train up a child in the way he should go train up a lot of people quote that scripture they say bring up a child and the way he should no it says train up a child a whole lot difference between training and bringing training everybody say training you know it always amazed me how you go to see world they'd get dolphins jumping through fire hoops and they'd get all kind of stuff horses and all kind of things they can teach them you know why because somebody was gentle with them somebody rewarded them somebody worked with them somebody was patient with them and they were trained them to do those things and then you tell me we can't train our children how to love god how to come to church how to sit on the pew how to hear the word of the lord we can't train them how to sing you know i'm going to tell you it's amazing these choirs somebody said oh they get off key they do this they do that i don't care what they do i still love to hear them sing they got to start somewhere and you let them start there and one day there will be adults and some of the greatest singers you ever heard came out of when they were little bitty down here and somebody gave them an opportunity to sing thank god but i'm going to tell you it doesn't do a bit of good if parents don't get the vision and have the revelation that's what i'm preaching tonight i'm preaching about a revelation hallelujah that it's important when you look up there and see your child not doing what they should be doing or talking or carrying on come here johnny let me talk to you son don't just don't act like that you're in the house of god be gentle do that about two or three times and then do something else on about that third time [Applause] they'll get the message come on we're training for another generation we're training for a church to go on we're training for our young people to do great exports we're training them to rise up one day and keep this church going on i've made mention of it several times god dealt with me many years ago and thank god we will always be indebted to all these that have worked in the school and i'm fearful to call names one of his brother davis thank god for him and sister alice and sister henderson and now brother pomeroy and sister holmes thank god for them but the lord impressed on my heart because i will tell you some christian schools that i'm friends that i've got uh you know they uh they they let out early because they started late i guess uh you know just it's just you know i don't know hallelujah well i'm not up here to criticize but i'm just telling you we can get careless with our children in our school thank god for a school that's run right but what god impressed on my heart if these children are not trained right there'll be a generation come up they can't pay the light bill on this yeah when you kick on about i think in this building there's 450 tons of air conditioning if you don't make we've got to make your meter spin and i know what some of you say i wish y'all cut it off you wouldn't then you'd be saying i wish they'd turn it on i've always dreamed of a church where you had air vents at every pew and had volume controlled every pew and everybody could just sit it like they wanted i don't suppose that's gonna happen so we're just gonna get happy where we're at and enjoy the holy ghost you know what hey let me tell you something about church you know what you don't like about church did you know somebody's sitting real near you it just tickles them to death that's what they like most about this church hallelujah so let's just all get happy together amen i told them earlier amen when queen of sheba came to see solomon before she made any comment on the building she commented on the servants amen thank god for a beautiful building but i want to tell you what impresses people more is you people because if they come in here you've been there and you found cold shoulders and people you you felt like a stranger instead of like you know this is a pentecost church everybody feel happy everybody i'm a visitor but nobody doesn't speak to you church i want to tell you something anybody everybody you walk past if anything i have learned going to karta and that's not a whole lot try it and see they're amazing people they really are they're the most compassionate people i've ever met in my life compassion to no end they they it's just amazing everybody you meet in the hallway they speak to you everywhere they're they're just so patient with everybody god let that culture get in this church too and i believe it is in here but we should not walk past you shouldn't even walk past your brother and sister not hello hello hello hello come on come on let's change the culture come on let's warm up come on let's love everybody oh yes come on let's somebody said it's not what you say it's how you make people feel you ought to make them feel good at mcdonald's you ought to make them feel good wherever you go because you got the holy ghost in you you've got the light burning oh yes come on let's praise him right now speak to us holy ghost speak to us holy ghost you can be seated what i was about to say was before queen of sheba commented on the building she commented on the servants she said how happy are your servants serving you continually how happy are they thank god for a happy church man every time i read the bible i see party all through the bible party party party party you know i i'm gonna be honest with y'all of course i've been you know i've been in this all my life i was born in this church i'm sure this was the first place i was ever taken to right here in this great assembly amen all my life i've watched it but you know i i grew up in a at a different time and if some of you older saints i offend you well come to prayer meeting tomorrow you'll be all right amen well for one thing they had a clock on the back wall and it looked like that clock never moved amen it was long services and it was long-winded preachers kind of like me and just got it to say and can't help it but it was you know i don't want to criticize these great people and my mother but she was probably as guilty as any of them uh you know it was the mark of the beast and you know and everybody sees the mark of the beast everybody's worried about the mark of the beast you know this uh this this shot it's the mark of the beast and everything's the mark of the beast and it kind of reminds me of the day when i grew up and it was back then russia was painted as whoo big and bad and there still are but you know what can i do about russia no use me worrying about them i want to tell you something else what can i do about the election what can i do about the news there ain't no use me getting off i just i want a party i'm a partier i'm a shouter i'm a rejoicer i'm an owl runner i'm a devil stopper oh yeah obey the holy ghost this is your time right here this is your time obey the holy ghost come on everybody get in it come on everybody lift up your voices everybody give him praise everybody give him thanksgiving come on praise him for his greatness his goodness his blessings yes lord yes lord yes lord yes lord yes lord oh thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus reach over and join with somebody right now let's have a prayer meeting come on prayer warriors help me out i need to get this message off my heart on yours in the name of jesus christ [Applause] let us go to a new level at fpc let us go to a new level of joy a new level of victory a new level of friendliness a new god and greatly to be praised give somebody a high five yeah hey you know what you just did you did just exactly what israel did when they come out of egypt you can be seated you know why there's no joy in a church you can't have joy till you get delivered long as you're living in egypt you can't shout you can't dance you can't run the aisles you can't rejoice in the holy ghost it's deliverance you can't beat the tambourine until you cross the red sea it's deliverance that gives us our joy we've been set free from drugs alcohol sin hey tell you something else we've been set free hatred we love everybody hallelujah you can be seated my prayers have been for the clifton family i got word this week number of years ago their precious daughter left this world renee almost i think somewhat of a twin to sister candy homes and it was a violent act of some kind and i remember preaching one sunday morning how you gotta forgive everybody uh i won't never forget it you know if you listen to the word of god and you'll follow the leading it's as the scripture said the willing and the obedience shall eat the good of the land when somebody says step out now if you'll step out now when somebody says let's clap our hands you clap your hands somebody says take a few steps you'll do it when everybody says let's sing together you'll do it you're going to eat the good of the land well that don't apply to me yes it applies to all of us amen we may can't run the aisles like uh sister henderson but we may can't keep up with brother mcdougall but we can do something i hope someday y'all beat them too it's depressing me it's troubling me well hallelujah but i preached that message that sunday morning this man that was involved in her death you know what he did he went home picked up the phone called him and said i want you to know i forgive you you know brother clifton there's not a doubt in my mind you wouldn't be sitting in this church tonight if you hadn't picked up that phone and got that bitterness out of your heart it left that day you can't hold bitterness and have victory and if a man can forgive a man that had a hand in the killing his daughter you can forgive it no matter who it is it don't matter what it is now that's what i'm preaching about that's real deliverance [Applause] help us god help us god everybody say train up come on parents help work get in with these teachers bring them a apple or bring them a gift card to chick-fil-a if you want to depress them get them one from mcdonald's oh a little free advertisement for both wrestlers right don't hurt a thing in the world amen train them up everybody say train them up oh god if there's anybody we're going to be holding up the hands of it's all these people that are touching our children choir leaders that's touching our children school teachers principal sunder school teachers thank god for sunday morning chapel service our young people in there getting the holy ghost and praying for the holy ghost amen but i'm going to tell you all that does no good if they're not there and it's parents responsibility to see where did you go upstairs and sit in the balcony when you should have been where did you know can i tell y'all something you want to hear something you know what i've told preachers and pastors has asked me about church you know a lot of success in life do you know how simple success is a whole lot of it is just showing up where you're supposed to show up i mean i'll tell you something else i tell them because some of them miss and miss and off preaching and all they plow other people's other people's uh farm and garden and and other people's crop and i tell them if it's not important for you to be there why would it be important for saints to be there oh hallelujah well i know i'm not preaching to a bunch of pastors but that's still the way i feel about it amen you have any reason why we show up around here i've had people call me and said i want you to come preach for me sunday morning i said well there's a little thing i'd do at 10 30 on sunday morning that would keep me from coming because this is the most important thing to that pastor over there thank god for the times that he shares his ministry goes preaches other places and maybe takes a few days off but just get up every day looking for a place to go there's something wrong with that kind of spirit thank god for church thank god for saints that show up you need to show up on tuesday night you need to teach your children to show up on tuesday night i don't feel good i'm sluggish i think i'll just let me preach to them cameras a little bit i think i'll just stay home night prop up my feet hey man i'm a little tired i'll watch it online you don't need to watch it online if this is your church this is where you're supposed to be that's for people in china that's for people in well hallelujah now there are people that are sick there's situations where people cannot and we understand that and thank god for them watching it amen but just because you didn't feel quite like going that's not enough i'm going to go to church i like that thought i leave church coming back amen look at your neighbor and say i leave church coming back i leave church coming back amen the greatest place on earth is the house of god the people of god to hear the word of the lord to feel the spirit of the lord to feel the power of the lord you know my favorite character in the bible is david but his brother burr told me one time he said son let me tell you something he said all men have clay in their feet well that was a revelation yeah amen there's clay in everybody's feet we're all what are you saying we're all human i mean we hold people to a much higher standard than we hold ourselves well i need a pulpit to hide behind but it's the truth [Music] we do it to others and something happens to us oh help us jesus come on oh i don't know hallelujah it's still the truth i love i love david king david he was one of the greatest soldiers and men he was the genealogy of jesus christ son of david amen but you know what i right across the scripture it's been several years ago really i saw this it took me a little time to find it again but the bible said about david he was talking about adonijah out of nigel is the one that tried to take the place of solomon and the bible said his father talking about david had not plea displeased him any time in saying why hast i done so and the bible said and he also was a very goodly man and his mother bear him after absalom now think about a daddy that has never displeased his son by saying why have you done that why did you do that well just put it in our terms stupid thing uh that's what it says about david and you read about his children they did not get the training they did there's a number of stories about his children doing terrible things but david did not discipline adonijah adenija almost took over the kingdom when it belonged to solomon help us god hey i'm still preaching to you we got to train our children in the ways of god right is it wrong to ask them why did you do that what are you thinking is it wrong for us to correct them and lead them and guide them in the right direction help us lord they can cause us a lot of pain down the road if we don't do what we need to do when we need to do it many times we wake up as parents when they're 13 and 14 year old and they're full of rebellion oh jesus y'all wouldn't like my mother at all i still remember the day i told her i said i ain't gonna cry no more she's fixing it with me i said i ain't crying whoa that was the wrong thing to say i'm going to tell you exactly what she did she pulled up my britch's leg like that right there and she had a switch in her hand and me and her were dancing together and the tears were flowing amen she said big boy i'll break you it means if all things stand up to your mother and tell you you ain't gonna cry no more you're gonna cry oh jesus man i'll tell you this is a camp meeting message tonight i'll tell you something else about mother she never crossed daddy i suppose because she didn't want to get in trouble herself he was a strong man and a strong leader and he didn't put up with people not cooperating well hallelujah come on church let's set a good example before our children let's let these teachers train them let's let these teachers train them let's help them train these children that they'll live for god all their life oh help us god help us god help us god help us jesus in the name of jesus christ pray with me right now i want his help to hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus the bible said abaja slept with his fathers and they buried him in the city of david and asa his son reigned in his stead in the days in his days the land was quite ten years it said about asa this king that he did that which was good in the sight and right in the sight in the eyes of the lord his god the bible said he took away the altars of strange gods and high places and break down the images and cut down the groves he commanded judah to seek the lord in their their fathers and to do the law and his commandments also he took out of all the cities of judah the high places and the images and the kingdom was quiet before him he built fences fenced cities in judah for the land had rest and had no war in those years because the lord had given him rest did you get it the reason you got rest is because god gave you rest therefore he said unto judah let us build these cities and make about them walls and towers and gates and bars while the land is yet before us because we have sought the lord our god we have sought him and he hath given us rest on every side so they built and prospered he said let us build fence around them and i think of the goodness of god upon this church god has given us rest in this church thank god for the rest i don't know some of you have been but can i tell you the worst trouble you'll ever be in your life is be caught up in the midst of church trouble it really don't get any worse than that one family these families sectioned over against this section these against this one that one against that one it is a nightmare i hope you never experienced i've never experienced it because you know why god has given us rest in this church do you agree with do you think we've had rest it's been beautiful peace in this church we've went through three building projects fourth count in the chapel then the new complex that god has given and there has not been there's not been chaos and trouble and bickering and fussing and feuding and carrying on you know somebody said it's leadership no it's his leadership it's god that gives rest everybody say it with me it's god that gives rest now can i tell you what god wants us to do while he gives us rest build a defense against the devil god wants us to help pastor over here build a fence around what we've got because it won't always be like this in fact you continue reading that same chapter and you will see that the ethiopians came against asa but you know what he did he cried unto the lord the lord heard he heard his cry and though they were many times the number against him and greater yet god gave them the victory because they had done the will of god thank god for the purging of this church and the purging of our lives and cleaning of our homes and getting things out and living for god i'm going to tell you church it pays great dividends thank god for peace while we got peace we need to be building fence we need to put fence around i love fences i love gates we need fence fence around our children we need to keep them fenced in to live for god oh thank you jesus thank you jesus they need protection from us you know what the fence is the fences examples us being examples before them leading them in the right direction doing the right thing with them that creates the fence because that's what they look to the most and then in the time of storm of your life god has given us a promise it's a promise i'll be there i'll help you i'll fight your battle i'll go before you and everybody give the lord a hand clap of thanksgiving you may think tonight these children up here as i said earlier were not important but they are so important i got to thinking about how many of you received the baptism of the holy ghost i just wonder how many received it like five years old to have any hands five years old amen you want to stand up yeah five down you're out five and down how many do we have amen come on come on keep standing five and down you got the holy ghost keep standing amen they're all over this building keep popping up amen thank you jesus i wonder how many he got the holy ghost just remained standing 10 years old and down you were ten look at look look look look now you you see the race and i've got a burden to preach tonight look at all these children look at all these adults who got the holy ghost when they were 10 and under just keep saying well how many 15 and down 15 look at look look look look look 15 years old and down and you don't think our young people are important you don't think these choirs are important you don't think keeping them in church is important we know it's important i wonder about 20 years old and down anybody else yeah people keep standing all over the house thank you jesus hallelujah why don't everybody stand together come on let's lift up our voices with thanksgiving right now oh god we praise you tonight [Applause] amen come here son you can be seated i want you to tell when you got the holy ghost hey come on church are you getting my burden is anybody getting my burden am i gonna have to go home and go to sleep tonight thinking i didn't i didn't communicate to you what i felt in my soul and felt in my spirit i want you to see that a greatest investment we can make is in these young people before we send money to a mission field we need to take care of home field oh thank you jesus well you know i've heard it all my life that you know you'll remember the day you got the holy ghost like it just clears a bell but my story's different i was three years old and it was in september of 1983 that i received the baptism of the holy ghost and i know that because it's written in my dad's bible i was looking for it trying to find it i don't know which bible it is but we're going to find it but it was september 1983 and there's a picture of me and my cousin brother joey brewer and we're praying sister faye walton is there sister jenny roland was there there were other sister margaret eccles i believe and they were all around us and we were over on the side of number 152 place i received the holy ghost and then i was baptized in august of 1987. what a glorious day so i'm one of these young people that are in this church today that don't remember not speaking in tongues and having the holy ghost now that don't make me an angel but i will tell you this it lets me know that the holy ghost is for our youngest children and it goes all the way up thank the lord for his spirit you know what what impresses me the most is when i see people that have a burden to pray with our children whether it be elder saints or parents or grandparents whoever it is don't ever forget those kids they feel the real touch of the holy ghost and there's just nothing like saints seasoned saints going around praying with those kids i'll never forget those moments of being in in church as a kid and and the saints of god coming around and praying for me to receive the holy ghost i'm thankful for that yes this is my wife she said it was a midweek service just like we always had i had been in school that day and throughout the week and so like a lot of children i'd fallen asleep in church at the end of the preaching everyone stood up and was worshiping and responding to the message so i stood up sleepily they were singing and praying and i'm not sure why that night was different but i started crying my mom was on the organ so i sat with a lady in the church who was also my school teacher when she saw me crying she started praying with me and before long others gathered around and at the age of nine years old january 15 1987 the lord filled me with the holy ghost that very next sunday night i was baptized in jesus name that's been 34 years ago thank you lord my brother-in-law brother roger seifert said he was nine years old in 1977 he thinks it was a sunday night and he said my grandma holmes was praying with him when he received the holy ghost my sister sister andrea seifert received the holy ghost february 13 1982 it was on a saturday evening in my in our home and then on pontiac uh road in north little rock and then she was baptized february 14 1982 on a sunday night in the name of the lord jesus christ for the remission of all of her sins hey this thing works and it's for every generation and think about it tonight i've already got a grandson preaching the gospel 15 years old hand of god is upon him and all of our grandchildren receive the holy ghost i thank god rejoice at the goodness of the lord and the faithfulness of god amen sister johnette amen tell it well i received the holy ghost when i was 10 years old my pastor was reverend buford miller in pascagoula mississippi and i'll never forget that night i went down as a child and that was the first time that i had ever sought for the holy ghost and the lord filled me that night and he placed a love so deep in my heart as a young child my husband asked me to tell this little short story when i was very young after i received the holy ghost um my parents and i went on vacation and my mother she was a great seamstress and she made me this little outfit that was um shorts but a little flap over it that was like a skirt and on that trip i put it on and as a young child i just started crying and crying i said mother please i don't want to wear this i want to wear my skirt and we pulled over on the side of the road and she took out of the suitcase a skirt and put it on and she said i'll never ever do that to you again so just like brother holmes said parents don't live a different life for your own vacation than you do when you're at home and when you're in church hallelujah hallelujah you live that life before them because they watch every single move that you make you may not think they're paying attention but they're paying attention what you do what you say where you go and i want to live that life in front of my grandchildren and i'm so happy to say that my son his wife and my two grandchildren all got the holy ghost at the age of six years old and i'm so thankful for this life somebody shout glory somebody shout the devil's still a liar [Music] well do you love calvary academy i love it when i moved here in 97 coming into the 10th grade i thought it was the best school on earth and i was just amazed at sister alice and sister corbett at the time and all the other teachers in fact i tell people sister henderson now taught my algebra class and when i finished her algebra class when i went over there to the college and took college algebra it was a breeze compared to algebra at calvary academy and so i'm so thankful for calvary academy but here's what i tell the young people and and we tell them this but be careful how you treat the one next to you because you never know who they're gonna be in life you never know what they're going to do with their life in fact my doctor now is somebody that i used to help teach kids choir to and that's dr aaron roberts so you never know you don't know who's going to write that million dollar check to the church you don't know who's going to be like the apostle paul and i came across this quote by president garfield and it really touched my heart and it helped me understand and realized every student in fact could the students stand up for just a second all of the students isn't this a fine group of young people every one of them is important in the sight of god and should be important in the sight of all of us you can be seated so this is what president garfield said he said i never meet a ragged boy in the street without feeling that i may owe him a salute for i know not what possibilities may be buttoned up under his coat so when you pass a ca student i want you to consider and think who is this child really going to be one of these days and they may be the one that's operating on you they may be the one that's preaching the gospel to one of your family members they may be the one that's helping you get through a court case you never know so i want to take care of them i want to love them wrap my arms around them and create that fence that bishop has talked about and preached about tonight thank you i'm so excited to be a part of calvary academy and this great church i want to introduce to you some fifth graders they came and they testified last friday in assembly they did a great job these are sister lewis's fifth graders this is brady beard so whenever i was four years old i was in the hospital with a severe case of meningitis and it was very septic i was very not septic non-responsive severely dehydrated and severely hypothermic i was so bad they had me in the trauma unit at children's for over 13 hours to get me stable enough for icu i was so bad that the head trauma unit doctor stayed over time the 13 hours to help because he knew i was not going to make it my mom was constantly praying out loud in the room they had to do two different spinal taps because i was too dehydrated for the first one at one point i finally came to for a few minute minutes and my mom told me that if i can that if i could talk at all to say jesus please heal me and i did and at that moment i started to get better and better every hour every day bishop holmes brother henderson and several others came to pray over me at the hospital and i continued to get better and better and the doctors were all amazed at how well i was doing but god didn't stop there so then from the trauma in my body went through i ended up with diabetes the next whole year was miserable being sick with that on mother's day brother claiborne came to preach and he called everyone down from that had a disease in their body and my parents both bled the blood of jesus over me i was healed right then of my diabetes when i went back to my doctors and specialists they ran a test again they said that i indeed did not have any diabetes anymore or any markers showing that i would ever have diabetes again hallelujah praise the lord and we serve a mighty big god thank you brady this is lawson johnson i've been raised in a pentecostal church this pentecostal church for all my life and i got the holy ghost at eight years old and last year during covid we have a platform swing and i had a friend over and i was pushing him on it and i tried to jump on well it started spinning out of control and my neck was my head was hanging off trying to get my balance and when it came back around the metal edging that we have in our yard caught my neck and it pulled me off the swing and my mom rushed me to the emergency room they gave me five stitches is supposed to be six and they said it was a centimeter from hitting my windpipe in a centimeter morning it would have hit my windpipe so i thank god that he had his hand on me and protected me how are you my name is bryn mcguire and i just it all started with me and my grandma i was two years old and she would bring me to the church for on and off for eight years and i received the holy ghost when i was 10 years old and if you don't have the holy ghost you can get it tonight that's robin duty's grandson my name is brooks blakely i used to have 18 warts on this hand and i kept hearing about the 52 day fast from church i tried it i fasted candy for 52 days and now all them are gone thank you jesus hey it's not gonna get any better than that god bless these they got on their school uniform don't they look sharp amen we love these young men thank god for what god has done in their life giving them the holy ghost well thank you jesus love you son y'all bring that table bring your table hallelujah well i want to testify to you you don't think it's important to see these children live for god i hope you're convinced tonight you never take them for granted amen this uh table you're looking at if you will bring it right out here in front is i know it's uh 65 years old it may be 75 or 100. they found a price on the bottom of it brother bourne did it had 4.95 on it well let me tell you the story behind it my mother had this table and she was going to throw it away my mother did not like antiques you know we'd be buying antiques and bragging on them and said you know i don't want antiques don't bring me no antiques i want something new and shiny and that's so she was getting rid of this and my sister faith so happened uh saw it and and and picked it up and about a week ago i guess it was about a week or less she brought it to me and she said you know i realized this is the coffee table the couch was here and it was one of them big overstuffed couches i can see it so clear in my mind and then she brought me this table and this was the coffee table that was sitting in front of that couch and i was walking back and forth at five years old with my hands up sister louise haney had come over to our house praying and i was talking in tongues as god filled me with the holy ghost so if you don't think it's important for our children to get the holy ghost and then for us to keep them going i'm going to tell you i'm so stirred up i'm going to have to pray i get settled down you know what really and truthfully our children deserve anything that we can give them now my daddy was like this if you did right he he didn't matter what he gave you in fact when i was about 17 years old he bought me a two-door coupe de ville cadillac you know i don't know how the saints put up with that you know here's 17 year old boys got a coupe to build cadillac leather black leather interior white vinyl top of course i was evangelizing preaching i remember him bringing a sales manager coming to our house and tried to get him to sign a car for ruble and he thought they'd put pressure on him well you didn't put pressure on daddy because he had a backbone he said no i'm not signing no car for him no loan for him he won't live right he don't do right and that's the end of the story but uh they were just as long as you did right you know it just couldn't do too much and i was just greatly blessed to have the holy ghost and live this good life and fill this good holy ghost i've got another thing i want to tell you about and i want them to put it up on the screen this i come across this the other day this is the lakewood methodist church y'all got it back there help me out quick there it is you all ever seen that building at church it's right here just a little bit north of us it's lakewood methodist good people go there great friends banker used to go there president of the bank good man anyway uh this is reid mcconnell actually built that church he always kind of laughed at it he said it they built it tall halfway to heaven and nobody can sit down in it that was his very words but anyway he was an elder there and believe it or not he left word for me to preach his funeral very wealthy man and i preached his funeral they didn't nobody else got to say anything me and son did his funeral of course the mayor was there bankers were there lawyers were there anyway i want you to notice though lakewood united methodist church can you see what's under that endowment fund and i just think about are we going to let other people love their church and support their church more than we support our church and our educational department you know we got a time of peace we got a time of prosperity but it may not always be like this am i are you with me amen and i just want to challenge you tonight that you do something in your will or endowment uh sister jenkins she uh did it and sister cheney's standing back here you know they stirred me up they're the ones that got me to thinking in fact i won't tell you something lord be my heifer i'm going to preach this in a lot of churches and a lot of places because i feel a burden for the work of god i want to see it perpetuated i want to see it going on and i want to tell you the least that any of us could do is leave it in our will that 10 goes to my church if you believe that your life has been blessed because you tithed would you not want your estate and your children to realize hey that's the reason daddy was blessed and daddy has put it in his will that we do this well it's getting quiet but it's right i'm not afraid to say it and i want to tell you i'm not going to ask you to do something that i have not already done i've done it i put it in mine 20 of anything i've got goes to the ca first of all it goes first pentecost church and they can decide but hopefully it goes directly to ca because i want to see all children white children hispanic children uh it doesn't matter black children it doesn't matter who they are i want them to be able to come to this school amen if the parents misuse their money and that's all that's we're not going to worry about that we're going to we're just we're just going to do the right thing and we're hallelujah well praise god amen i want to see the doors stay open hey and by the way uh this international sunday i'm excited about that they're gonna get me a hispanic suit to wear that's right so i'm gonna do it i love these hispanic people we've got a great thing going on friday night god's filling people the holy ghost every friday nights new people they're praying for the holy ghost and i thank god for it so why don't you think about it why don't you pray about it what are you going to do i want to leave that with you tonight what would you do for the kingdom of god how let me ask you another question how do you want to be remembered do you want to be remembered years from now let me tell you something my brother did not live for god my mother prayed and cried i told him a 55 barrel of tears over him he got mad i ran quick before he could say anything to me i said rubel you're not going to get away your mom was prayed 55 i was sure she had because she wouldn't give up you know what happened god filled her him with the holy ghost he filled arlene with the holy ghost uh sister alice and then went over there to the nursing home prayed her through on her death bed she was talking in tongues thank you jesus amen smith family but you know what ruble did he left 51 of what god had blessed him to this church and since then that has went well over 500 000 dollars has been contributed to the kingdom is that amazing amen brother martin left it amen i thank god for brother and sister looper they gave 50 acres for uh a camp that we've never used i publicly apologize that we've never done nothing but seemed like it was so far away we couldn't get our arms around i told him one time we just need to deed that back to you he said no and i was talking to him later one day and he's picking at me he said yes anyway i know how he feels he pours it out on the kingdom but you know what son come over here son we're going to close this in prayer you know what i want to see these children are to have the best gym they're to have the best program they need to play ball and have fun and they need to pray we need we need a youth camp there's no reason we cannot have a campground i said there's no reason i think our young people are to get the best of everything that's what i was saying about my daddy and my brother he said if you do right i'll help you if you don't do right i ain't help you do nothing so that's the way i feel these young people are doing right living for god look at these 10 years old up here testifying is that not amazing hey let me ask you something do you think that they will ever get away and thank god for uh brooks amen he had a great grandmother we shall never forget sharon blakely in this church as long as we live one of the hardest working people we've ever had amen do you think he'll ever forget that he had how many warts 18 warts on one hand and he fasted candy for 52 days and those warts are gone do you think he'll ever get away from that not as long as he lives [Applause] my son has a testimony of the same he had warts on his feet we carried him to the doctor they'd burn them off they cut them off surgery surgery both feet couldn't walk for over a week on one foot i know there was 30 something and brother they came back worse the second time and i'm literally impairing walking and we were down at brother jerry cox's camp meeting and i was so desperate and i said brother cox or i think dad actually said for the cox why don't you pray over nathan i took my socks and shoes off and he laid his hands on my feet it wasn't some big prayer really it was just a prayer faith that he said lord heal these feet right now and i'm telling you from that day forward every single one of them was gone and they've never come back and i'm 41 years old is god not good to fbc do you want to invest in the kingdom [Music] do you want to invest in the kingdom do you want to see it perpetuated that's the burden of my heart you know you know when you're 71 years old i'll soon be 72. you can do simple uh math elementary math and no i'm not going to be around long to know i did everything i could do to perpetuate i don't care what it is whether it's small or great i'm going to do what i can do and i'd just like to encourage everybody in this church amen let's do it together can we do it together amen come on let's build a campground let's build gems there can be other buildings built for his glory lift up your hands with me right now let's pray together oh god in the name of jesus christ i believe you god oh would you join up with somebody well join up with a prayer warrior come on church come on church come on church god's gonna drop it in your heart god help me to do this tonight in the name of jesus what can i do for your kingdom what can i leave see a lord leave me guide me directly god i want to do your will i want to be what you want me to be god in the name of jesus christ for your glory your honor oh god bless you i love you thank you for letting me deliver my heart amen you're dismissed
