what's going to happen and if you just plug into what's going on tonight god can do exceeding abundantly above what you can ask or think ephesians 3 19-21 and to know the love of christ which passeth knowledge that ye might be filled with all the fullness of god now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us unto him be glory in the church by christ jesus throughout all ages world without end amen can you give the lord a big hand clap tonight [Applause] [Music] anybody know that god is able tonight [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] for god is able to do just what he said he would do he's gonna fulfill everybody [Music] don't give up on god cause he won't give up on you he's able to believe tonight hallelujah [Music] i've seen my god in the midst of the fire turn down the heat make the devil alive he's always with me he's always working on things [Music] [Music] he's always with me he's always working all things for my god [Music] i've seen the waters when the tide was real high i thought i would think but he was right by my side he's always with me he's always working on things for my victory is [Music] wow me [Applause] is [Music] here we are [Music] why don't you take a moment right now step out from where you are come on do you know that the victory belongs to the lord tonight hallelujah who shall we fear when the lord is with us [Music] oh [Music] oh yes [Music] every day oh come on thank you jesus thank you jesus hey i want to tell you he's everything you need whatever is going on in your life god is able to meet your need whatever you're dealing with god is there if you're dealing with fear doubt whatever it may be all you have to do is lift your hands to the king of kings of the lord of lords and i promise you you will feel that strength come back to you you'll feel that virtue flow in your life come on let's do it right now across this building oh jesus i have the honor of reading the testimony tonight and this one is from sister natalie staggs a few weeks ago my eight-year-old daughter delaney began to have severe problems with her ankle it began swelling was red and she was limping long story short delaney ended up at arkansas children's hospital the doctors thought delaney had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and that she might be facing long years of dealing with this you can imagine the prayers that were going up for delaney after a lot of tests we were told that the test came back good instead of rheumatoid arthritis she just had a reactive arthritis which will go away in just a few months without prayer things could have been so different thank you jesus god is amazing in how he works it never ceases to amaze me we are so blessed to serve such a mighty god and i want the ushers to come at this time we're going to receive our offering tonight and as they're coming i just want to share with you our prayer totals for the week of september 13th through the 19th i'm happy to report to you that on monday september 13th there were 429 logins for prayer we give god praise for that when you total all of the week with the school you have a grand total of 3 856 people praying in the name of jesus and how amazing is it when we begin to pray god begins to move and i heard the report of sunday night service and how the presence of god swept through this place during baptism and there were so many people praying for the holy ghost receiving the holy ghost i think we ought to give god praise for that right now come on oh hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus for every soul that was baptized in jesus name every person that received the holy ghost hallelujah we're so thankful for what god is doing in our midst we're going to receive our offering tonight would you help me pray lord we love you we thank you for this evening thank you for allowing us to be in your house tonight god i pray over this offering you would use it for your service your kingdom in jesus name [Music] take me back take me back dear lord to the place [Music] take me back take me back here lord where is believe come on help me sing it telling you we had an just a mighty move of the holy ghost i wish you could i wanted to take a picture from the pulpit of the congregation but i thought it would be too much of a distraction but it was wall-to-wall people they were squeezed in tight and they're getting ready to build a brand new thousand seat auditorium god is doing great things sunday morning sunday night we just had a holy ghost move and it was just a powerful time and it mirrored what was happening right here at first pentecostal church brother clark we love you we appreciate you want you to come tonight preach the together thank you jesus hallelujah hallelujah well praise the lord everybody i'm glad to be here on a tuesday night thankful for what i feel in this place tonight go ahead and go to first chronicles chapter 29 leave honor to god thankful for his mercy and grace on my life give honor to your bishop his great wife i love them appreciate them so much and your great pastor so glad he's back i'm glad you're pastor's back in town hey ma'am i love pastor holmes and his family first chronicles chapter 29 verse number 29 it says now the acts of david the king first and last behold they are written in the book of samuel the seer and in the book of nathan the prophet and in the book of god this year verse 30 with all his reign and his might in the times everybody say the times the times that went over him and over israel and over all the kingdoms of the countries it's going to be a little different for me tonight but i'm going to do what i feel i don't know exactly how this is going to go but i have felt this today in the holy ghost for this service we're preaching tonight on this subject the times and seasons that pass over us the times and seasons that pass over us would you lift your hands one more time and help me pray god i love you tonight jesus i'm thankful for your presence that i feel god it's evident that you're here because i can feel your presence that i'm asking that the holy ghost would fall i'm asking that the anointing would fall in this place tonight in the name of jesus would you put your hands together one more time hallelujah hallelujah you may be seated tonight thank you for standing we passed this way but once life is such a fleeting thing i know tonight i'm a very young man several of you have reminded me that i'm still a baby and i realize that but i also realize that it will be like i blink my eyes and i will be an old man time seems to pass us by life is made up of seasons and times now when i say seasons tonight i'm talking about a particular period of time that is marked by distinctive features i'm not just talking about a calendar date but i'm talking about the various seasons of life the various times and eras that we live in for example the end of a season would be when one graduates from high school and goes into the next season of their life whether it's college or a career or whatever it may be so here are the closing remarks of the chronicler and his account of the life of king david and the phrase that i want to highlight tonight is the times that went over him and these words the times that went over him there are some very solemn and very interesting thoughts when it comes to the nature of life and the way that time seems to pass us by these words originally offer or refer to the seasons and the extreme twists and turns that they brought in the life of king david and the times don't speak necessarily of the succession of single days but they speak of periods and they speak of different times and seasons in the life of david how varied the life of david was as the times went over him from the time we are introduced to david as a young shepherd boy to the time we say goodbye to him as an old man the times that went over him we see him as a shepherd boy and then we see him as an anointed young man who is sent back into the field and we see him as a soldier we see him as a giant killer we see him as a harpist in the king's court a saint and a sinner we see him as a psalmist and a king and we see where he backslides for just a little season in his life and falls away from god and and then we see as he repents and finds his way back to god and then we see him as a dying monarch we see him as a man who has lived a a very successful life and that that is where uh we we are introduced to him at the end of this book at first chronicles and david went through very uh different seasons in his life many highs and many lows he he went through different seasons where he was victorious and and we read about a few mistakes that he made he lived a life that was strongly marked by seasons and the times that went over him were very different from one another and there was no two seasons that were alike and and every single season that david entered into was very different than the one that he was just coming out of and as one period ended and another would begin the times that went over him is what makes up the record of the life that you and i read about today and there were things that david did as a very young man that if he had not done i want to tell you he would have never entered into the next season of his life the way that we read it today there were choices that if david did not make them he would have never became the great king that you and i read about today and i have heard it said many times that the door of opportunity swings on very small hinges and i believe that if anybody recognize this to be true it was the the king david and there are very few who have lived such a checkered life as david but there is something here i know i'm just talking to you tonight but there's something here that we can look at and we can examine our own lives and see how it fits because the times that went over david the seasons that went over david i want to tell you they also go over our lives our lives are also uh segmented into different seasons and different times and eras and i want to tell you tonight that if we aren't careful there are uh certain opportunities and there are certain uh things that the lord has afforded us to have that they will not only pass over us but they will pass us by they won't just pass over you but they'll pass you right by so our lives are made up of seasons they are made up of opportunities that must be taken advantage of in the moment that they present themselves and just as king david's life our life is segmented into seasons and times so these times and seasons they're what makes up your life they're what makes up my life uh the writer is is talking about seasons of life that come and they come only one time and once that season has passed the opportunities in that season have also passed and that season will never come again and some of those opportunities will never present themselves to you again if you've ever been in a plane and looked down you know that you can see miles and miles of different fields and crops and you can see a road that sometimes goes through the middle where maybe uh one crop is planted on this side of the road and another crop is planted on that side of the road but if you get in the right perspective if you get up to a high enough place it has a way of blending all together and and making the earth the beautiful place that it is today and i want to tell you today that the same is true with the seasons of life it can be seen in a different way if if we can just get up to a high enough perspective it's often when we look back on the trouble from yesterday that we see that god really did have his hand in that situation it's often when you get to the next season of your life that you look back and you say god really was working on my behalf i want to tell somebody today the trouble that you're in right now the problems that you're in right now there's gonna be a day where you look back and you say now i see how god was orchestrating my steps now i see how the hand of the lord was working on my behalf i think about a time several years ago i preached about it a few times i think i preached it here at youth service but i was thinking about a time when i was going through a storm in my life with uh not knowing exactly what i believed i don't have time to go into all of it today but i did not know if i was going to make it i really thought that this this certain storm was going to get me and that this certain problem might be more than i can handle but now i feel that i know what david was talking about when he said it was good for me to have been in trouble why because i look back at that season now and i say i thank god i went through that i thank god i went through that problem why because i've got more faith now than i had before i went into the storm i've got more confidence in god's ability than i did before i ever went into the storm so each life is made up of different times different seasons not just days and months and years that sometimes seem so monotonous sometimes that life seems that it's just the same thing over and over again but i want to tell you that each season you're in it's got its own responsibilities and each season has its own opportunities and it's got its own tests and it's got its own lessons to be learned each season and time has its own opportunities for you to reach out and grab a hold of and sometimes an opportunity can come and if we're not spiritually aware enough we can miss out on it it will never come again i think today about my life of course i can only talk from my experiences but i know i'm young today i'm not trying to act like i'm some elder i know i'm young and dumb but i think today about a time when i was probably in uh fourth or fifth grade i was just a boy and i remember riding down the road with my mother and i don't remember exactly how the conversation came up but i was sick of school i was tired of school and my mom was a teacher and i was trying to convince her that i'd be okay in life if she just let me drop out she just let me quit school well of course she didn't let me but i'll never forget we were driving down the road and my mother said you better enjoy these days she said there's going to be a day where you look back on these days and you're going to wish you could relive these she said it's going to be just like you blink your eyes and she said this school this time will be over and i remember i was being i guess a smart alec but i started blinking my eyes and i said well i'm still here but i want to tell you that now that that time has gone and now that i am oh man i look back on those days and and truly it seems that i have done nothing but blink my eyes and here i am today it seems that just yesterday i was in a different season of my life it seems that just yesterday i was a freshman in high school but i blinked my eyes and here i am today how quickly how quickly time has passed how quickly time has passed me by and i think about opportunities that i've had in my life that god has given me the privilege to take advantage of and i also think about opportunities that i did not jump on and i did not reach out and grab a hold of and and those opportunities have passed me and they've never come around again i think about life tonight i think about the twists and i never really really never thought i'd be where i am today it's nothing but the mercy of god but i was thinking about the different seasons of my life today every birthday i was telling it was brother brandon last night and his wife how uh on my birthday i kind of get a little sober and i just start to think about life i think about where i am and where i want to be and i was thinking about the different seasons of my life and being the youngest of four brothers and growing up and uh being in school and going to conferences and many times being a carnal young teenager and and dealing with things in school and dealing with bad influences and how often i wish that i could speed time up and how often i did not appreciate the time that god had given me and many times i wish there was a button that i could press and fast forward to the next season of life i remember times spending hours with my dad doing bible quizzing so many times i wish i could have sped it up so many times i just wanted to get it over with and and go back to the other things that i was doing and now that i am older and and i'm not able to do that anymore i look back on those days and think god give anything to have one more day like that but i have found myself recently wishing there was a button that i could press that that would slow things down but we know tonight that's just not the way that life works and life is like a river that flows it's impossible to get that river to flow in the opposite direction but i want to tell you tonight tonight as a 23 year old man i realize that in this season i've got opportunities that i'll never have again i realize that tonight there's things i can do that i won't be able to do when i'm 30 and there's things i can do right now there's opportunities i have right now that if the lord tarries and i have a wife and children that i'll never be able to do them again and there's opportunities that i realize and you need to realize that in whatever season of life you're in right now you've got opportunities that you'll never have again some things can only be done in the childhood of life some things can only be done when you're a teenager there's some things that can only be done when you're a young adult some things can only be done when you're middle aged and some things can only be done when you become an elder and times pass that's buy and seasons pass over us but i want to tell you tonight that it is very important that we realize that each and every season that we're in has its own opportunities each and every season that you and i come to in our life uh it has its own work to be done every season has its own advantages that can be taken taken advantage of and it has its own opportunities that we can reach out and grab and i want to tell you tonight that unless we are wide awake and unless we are anticipating it unless we're in tune with the holy ghost there's some chances there's some opportunities that will slip through our fingers and we will miss out on them forever the bible tells us that the eyes of the wise can discern not only judgment but also time the eyes of a wise man can discern time to everything there is a season and a purpose uh there's a purpose for everything under the sun and galatians 6 10 says as we have therefore opportunity let us do good unto all men especially unto those who are of the household of faith the writer is saying right now we've got an opportunity as we have therefore opportunity let us do good unto all men what is he saying he's saying we've got an opportunity right now that if we wait and if we let it pass us by and if we get into the next season of life we may no longer have this opportunity why because some things can only be done when the opportunity presents itself and if we don't take advantage of it in that moment it will pass us by forever that's why when god gives you an opportunity to do right you better take advantage of that opportunity that's why when god gives you an opportunity to repent you better take advantage of that opportunity that's why when god gives you an opportunity to step into a new anointing to step into a new calling you better take advantage of that opportunity because that time may go and you won't have that chance again i don't know about you tonight but i'm not interested in missing any more opportunities i'm not interested in letting life pass me by but unfortunately most people most people i don't realize that they had a golden opportunity until it no longer was a golden opportunity mark twain said i was seldom able to see an opportunity until it ceased to be one although it can be hard to recognize and to realize at times that through all the various seasons and times that we go through that each moment has its own special mission but too many of us go through life and and we never ask the question god what is it that you want from me in this particular season we never say god what do you want me to do with my life in this moment and in this time and we never say what is this season asking me to do and what is this season asking me to become we know tonight we're on a journey we're on a journey on a road called life i remember down the road my dad was probably 10 i don't know i was a boy and there was a place i had noticed on a road called hamilton milne it's over two miles from our church but you come to the crest of a hill and about two miles away through some trees you can see the very top of our steeple uh you can just see it but you've got to be anticipating it you've got to be looking for it if you weren't prepared for it that moment would pass you by uh and similar to the steeple in the distance there can sometimes be a point on the road of life where some uh heaven arranged vantage point somebody might be able to get a glimpse of the place that god is wanting to take them and somebody has a vision of where god is wanting to take a certain group of people and maybe it's a building to be built somewhere and maybe it's somebody that has a dream of giving a certain number of money to the church but whatever it is it's something for god that you can get a glimpse for that it can help keep you on the right path but if you miss that glimpse if you weren't anticipating it it may never be able to be seen again on the path in such times god will allow to pass over our lives uh god sometimes will allow us to get a glimpse of a place that he's wanting to take us i can remember the first few times i preached and remember i felt nothing it was like i just got up there in red and i didn't feel anything i didn't feel any any anointing i didn't feel any power but i can remember the first time that i preached that i really felt the anointing i went home that night and i began to pray and i said god please don't ever take that from me and i said god every time i preach i want to feel what i felt tonight i believe it was god showing me a glimpse of a place that he was willing to take me it was god giving me a glimpse of some dream that i might have and sometimes god will let destiny brush up against us oh when sometimes it feels that we don't even know where we're going sometimes it feels that we're just in life and we're drifting we don't really have much direction but i want to tell you tonight that i'm thankful that god gives us pastors after his own heart and i'm thankful that god has given your pastor a vision for this people and sometimes you might not be able to see the vision from the place that you stand but our attitude ought to be if my man or god has a vision for this people i'm behind it all the way i might not be able to see it from the place that i stand but if he wants to build a building we'll build a building if he wants us to do outreach we'll do outreach you may not be able to see it from the place that you stand but say god i want to get behind the vision of my man of god alchemists i'm hurrying i promise alchemists spend lifetimes trying to formulate a way to change base metals into gold uh they believe that there is uh this moment called a moment of projection uh went into the molten mass could be dropped this powder that would cause a a a molten mass to be turned into gold that if you would mix these elements at the correct moment that this would magically be turned into gold a moment too late and there would be an explosion a moment too soon and and nothing would happen and they believed that if you could seize your opportunity at just the right time that this miracle would take place and so god's moments come to us so god's moments of destiny and uh order for our life comes to you and me and we have eyes to see and ears to hear and hands to reach out and latch on to the opportunity in front of us we would realize that in the season that you're in right now young people you've got an opportunity we think we're just going through life we think that what we do really doesn't have much of an impact on your future but i want to tell somebody here today that in the season that you're in right now you've got chances and you've got opportunities you'll never have a gun uh some of you teenagers there's opportunities you've got right now that when you're in your 20s you won't have those opportunities i've got opportunities right now that when i get a little bit older those things will forever pass me by and this ought to wake some of us who uh wake some of us up who have been drifting through life and it ought to wake some of us up who have been complacent to realize that there is a work to be done right now in the season that i'm in to realize there's a job to be done there's an opportunity to be had in the moment that i'm in right now [Music] i want to tell you that i'm not interested in being mediocre i'm not i'm not interested in not fulfilling the potential that god has given me i've seen people who simmered and simmered but it seemed that they would never come to a boil and they did all right but but they never really fulfilled the potential that they had they never really fulfilled the anointing that god had put on their life there's two things that are very sad that's wasted potential wasted potential is very sad and another thing that's very sad is a missed opportunity i don't know about you tonight but i don't have any interest in wasting any potential and i don't have any interest in missing my opportunities i want to be able to reach out in the moment that i'm in right now and say god what is your will for me today i want to say god what would you have me to do right now i don't want there to be any more precious time that i'm wasting but i want to wake up and seize every opportunity that god has put in my path if i cross somebody that god has put in my path for me to witness to i don't want to miss any more opportunities [Applause] i promise i'm almost done the men of issachar the bible says had an understanding of the times and they knew what israel ought to do they had an understanding of the time and they knew what israel ought to do the bible also tells us that jesus opened up the understanding of the disciples and i want to tell you that in a world that's confused in a world that has no idea what direction left they're headed i want to tell you that god still has men who are able to discern the times and know what the people of god ought to do lastly i want to show you how these times are are so temporary these times are are so fleeting i was thinking today about just different seasons and different people's lives and how only you truly know what seasons you have been through but i was thinking that if the lord tarries in 50 years i'm going to look back and i'm going to remember these days as a young man being able to spend so much time around your bishop and your pastor and i realized today i'm blessed to do it but i don't really realize i don't believe that i have a real revelation of just how blessed i am in this moment because time is so fleeting and and time passes us by so quickly it's like the wind that passes through the trees and never comes back again it's like a tornado that can come so quickly and and it can leave so quickly there's an old saying it says this too will pass this too will pass and we can say that tonight about every opportunity how we can say that about every season of our lives the good and the bad this too will pass look at how quickly it passed in the life of king david the quiet moments with the sheep the tender naive heart of this young man he killed a lion he killed a bear learning quickly about god's protective hand but so quickly it passed so quickly it was that he was thrust into the next season of his life he moves on as anointed by the man of god so humble and so submissive as after he is anointed he is sent back into the field and he enters a new season of his life and he's no longer a little shepherd boy but now he's looked upon as a giant killer and he becomes a warrior he becomes a mighty man now he's in the king's court and uh it ends just as quickly as it had began as he finds himself running as a fugitive and uh no doubt david wondered how long is this season going to last come to the music please he could have become better he could have become upset but he realized that this moment is a time for me to be perfected this moment even though it's not comfortable as a time for god to work on me he enters into a new season of his life and he's no longer running from the king but but now he is the king the greatest king that israel ever knew and he goes on and he falls into sin he backslides for a season away from god and then he finds himself in a season of repentance and turning back to god and then he finds himself as an old man no longer a giant killer no longer running from king saul no doubt it seemed like it was yesterday in his memory the memories of being anointed by the man of god he may have been weak and he may have been elderly he may not have had the strength that he had once had but he was still remained as a man who was after god's own heart so many different seasons but david grafts them david latched on to the opportunities that came by and took full advantage of them and most folks most people spend their lives fighting against the flow of time always either looking ahead or looking behind so many young people say if i was older then i could do this and for older people say if i was younger i could do this uh if if i was here or there or if i was born in this place then i could do this for god if things were only a little bit different if i was born into this family if i had this last name if i just had this money to work with if i just had this amount of talent and we become so possessed with we don't have or with what we don't have that we never take advantage of the opportunities that god has put right under our noses it was spring but it was summer that i wanted warm days in the great outdoors all at once it was summer but it was fall that i wanted the colorful leaves and the cool dry air all at once it was fall but uh really it was winter that i wanted the beautiful snow the joy of the holidays all at once it was winter but it was really spring that i wanted the warmth the blossoming of nature i was a child but it was adulthood that i wanted the freedom and the respect all at once i found myself in my 20s but really it was my 30s that i wanted all at once i was middle-aged but it was really 20 that i wanted uh the youth and the free spirit that comes with that age i was retired i was retired but now it was middle aged that i wanted the presence of mind the respect without limitations now my life is over and i never got what i wanted can i tell you whether you believe it or not a lot of people live their lives that way always looking to a different season uh when they finally get to the season that they were looking forward to they opened their eyes and they realized it's a different season that they want to be in and you and i can spend our lives grasping for another season grasping for a different moment and we miss out on the chances that god has put right in front of us i want to be like paul and learn how to be content in whatsoever state i am if it's an uncomfortable season i want to learn how to say god there must be a reason i'm going through this if i'm in a season of blessing i want to enjoy it but realize it may not always be the way that it is today i want to grab a hold of opportunities that life is affording me in this moment right now i want to grab ahold of the call of god i want to grab a hold of the mantle that god is willing to put on my life [Applause] so many young people we think we've got to wait to get a little older before god will use us we think we have to be a certain age can i tell you that god can use you right now maybe some older folks are here tonight i realize that maybe there's some things you used to be able to do that you can't do anymore but you must realize that you're in a season right now that you're able to do things you couldn't do 10 years ago i know it's hard sometimes and i'm sure it's hard hearing it from me as a very young man i realize that but i want to tell you that you're in a season you're in a season where god can use you regardless of how you feel about it you may think well i've missed my opportunity i've missed my window i want to tell you that's not the truth that's not the truth my dad is many times said in his younger days he'd say one day i'm going to get old i remember many times very clearly him standing behind a pool pit and saying one day somebody's going to sit in my chair somebody's going to take my place but he said i want to be like a saul why because saul not only lost his throne but saul lost his crown he said i want to be like david he said i may lose my chair i may lose my position but i don't ever want to lose my heavenly crown [Music] and i've watched the transition [Music] of my father as he stepped down from the pastor of my church i'm not going to go into it but he's got dementia very badly we're praying for a miracle and what i would give to go back to certain seasons of my life and have a conversation with him when he was in his right mind and thinking perfectly fine but even in this season it's encouraged me because even though sometimes he's so confused about things and even though sometimes he's very unaware of certain things that are going on i've watched as he still prays hours each and every day he doesn't feel a pulpit anymore but he never prayed to philip pool but he prayed because he wanted to have a relationship with god and you here in this local church you can testify the same thing here as your bishop has uh so nobly pass the baton under your pastor and uh how different it is from a man who tries to hold on to everything who never wants to give up his position who never wants to make room for anybody else but i want to tell you there's going to be a day coming when we're going to look back and i'm in a season right now i don't understand why god is doing certain things that he's doing and i don't understand why my dad has to go through what he's going through but i want to tell you i believe with all my heart that there's going to be a day where i look back in this season of my life it may not be until the time comes for eternity because the bible says we look through a glass darkly but i want to tell you there will be a day when i look back and i understand why there will be a day when i look back and i say thank you jesus for the trial thank you jesus for the hardship [Music] [Applause] stand with me tonight [Music] [Music] [Applause] foreign is [Applause] somebody lift up your hands right now thank you for the word god he got kalabosa somebody lift up your hands right now come on why don't somebody yield to the holy ghost come on the anointing may not always wait come on this season of revival it may not always be here come on these ulcers are open church come on we're in a season right now where god is getting ready to hand out some anointings i believe god is getting ready to hand out some mantles i don't want to miss out come on i don't want to miss out on any opportunities that god is affording me in this moment come on elijah walked by with that mantle it could have easily been missed it could have easily been not taken advantage of by elisha but the bible says that he grabbed onto that mantle he grabbed onto his opportunity to be used by god i want to tell you some of you are making decisions right now that will affect the rest of your life you've got to pray that the holy ghost would give you wisdom you've got to pray that the holy ghost would give you direction come on somebody help me pray all over this house come on all over this house lift up your hands come on all over this house lift up your hands oh god oh god this season please don't you don't do it without me god don't do it please elderly people why don't we pray tonight come on we don't need to miss any more chances we don't need to miss any more opportunities that the lord is supporting [Music] would you open up your mouth and help me pray come on would you help me pray tonight god's in this house come on the holy ghost is here right now the holy ghost is here to work on your situation come on we're going to look back one day on these days and realize the blessings of god that we're here come on it's just going to be like we blinked and we're going to be 10 years down the road i want to tell you you don't have as much time to decide certain things as you think i want to tell you tonight you might not have 10 years to live right you may not have five years to make up your mind you're gonna do what god has called you to do why don't you make up in your mind i'm doing it tonight i'm making up in my mind tonight whatever you're doing god don't do it without me don't do it without me god in the name of jesus come on would you look up your hands come on with you lift up your hands with you're me in the season please don't do it without me oh don't serve you we want to live for you we want you to work in our lives oh god oh hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah what a sobering reminder we've heard tonight from brother copeland i'll tell you what it's just hard to imagine how quickly our lives pass away how fleeting time is it's like a vapor appears for just a moment the sun burns it away it's like the flower the field that fades the grass that withers it's only here for a moment we only have an opportunity just like that and then it passes us by and then there are some times that god speaks to us speaks our name calls us and if we don't take advantage of those moments they never come again i've seen people god deal with them i've preached messages i'm reminded of one time in particular i know god gave me a word for a certain individual and i watched as that person never responded and it was only days later i'm sad to tell you they walked away from god and they've never found their way back because of that just that brief moment that moment of encounter with god so we want to be careful church every chance we get every time god gives us an opportunity it doesn't matter who is speaking to they can be 23 or they can be 43 or they can be 83 or yet they can be just a little child but when god speaks something to us we want to respond and we want to take advantage of that moment when he calls us i'm convinced when god spoke to samuel and said samuel he was just a young boy he didn't know the voice of god he went running to the prophet eli eli didn't even recognize what was happening his spiritual keenness was dimmed by his age and by his lack of [Music] of spirituality and finally it dawned on him this is god speaking to this boy he said when you go back and if you hear that voice again you respond and you say here i am here i am so we don't know god may be through the word of god tonight he may be speaking your name [Music] speaking the word to you you need to take advantage of it recognize when the voice of god is speaking to you we want to be right with god we want to be ready when he comes and we want to be willing participants in the service of the lord if you feel that way i want you to lift your hands i want you to tell him god here i am i want to seize every opportunity every moment come on right now across this house there are some of you in this room you've come here week in week out month in month out year in year out and you've never made that change you've never made that move but i want to tell you tonight you're not promised sunday morning you're not promised sunday night this may be the very night that you need to make that commitment god i'm going to serve you i'm going to make things right i'm going to change some things in my life come on across this room i fill it in the holy ghost in the name of jesus come on i want you to talk to god here for a few moments right now y'all [Music] wow [Music] [Music] what do you say church let's be sensitive to god sensitive through us let's take advantage of it when you wake up in the morning your feet hit that floor you ought to say thank you lord for another day another opportunity another chance i get to serve you i
