Scream Fortress Again

dispenser going up [Music] well do you like tf2 how about random crits how about guaranteed crits on kill power would you like to exist in a world where you can shoot rockets as the engineer pop a crits on yourself and then get ubered by a scout all in the space of 10 seconds would you like to go to hell oh oh no oh dude would you like there to be bombs randomly placed around the map do you like to stop playing tf2 to fight an annoying boss what the [ __ ] you like fighting two annoying bosses at once do you like screen shake you like fighting bosses who decide to target only you come on man leave me alone be alone [Music] oh attack somebody yes i got away with it too that literally never works you want to go to hell for real team fortress 2 is back with its 12th annual scream fortress event apparently so amazing that it broke concurrent player account records and got valve to log into their twitter account and update their banner i honestly have no idea why four event maps and some funny cosmetics have warranted so much hype but hey i guess when it's been over three years since the last major update anything is possible the contracts are activated once again in the cosmetic selection is some of the best that i've seen personally but the real gameplay comes from the four new maps first one i'll mention is blood water now when the tf team selects community maps to be added i feel like they always end up going with event versions of maps that aren't very popular to begin with and often maps that aren't even officially in the game yet believe it or not sunshine was officially added to tf2 after its halloween version sin shine was so you can imagine my disbelief when scream fortress 2020 added not one but two of the most popular maps in the entire game as halloween maps blood water is a spooky version of bad water basin which is one of my favorite maps and as a result it's my favorite halloween map added this year not a huge fan of how many npc hazards spawn even after they toned it down but hey you can't really go too wrong with bad water in my opinion the creative detail is off the charts here but my favorite addition is this massive pool of blood in between the second and third points and it's not just because it's thematically appropriate i think it has something to do with the fact that you can build hidden teleporters in the blood without anyone knowing all right i i don't think they saw me do that i think i got away with it and i'm going in see this is how you engineer you get completely invisible you have 11 revenge grips i'm like a spy [Music] all right now this this is a funny sentry i think this is yeah well yep it's funny i think they suspect something i think they suspect something's up oh he walked right over it he walked right over he didn't even see it didn't even notice dude this is the best [Music] don't mind me guys just placing the sentry just plays this entry down oh he's mad oh [Music] this guy this guy does he's losing his mind [Laughter] the next mega popular map that got wienified this year is upward with hassel castle i've personally been hoping that this specific map would make it into the game for years now so the fact that it's finally official was awesome news to read again it's just great to see two of the most popular maps getting represented in scream fortress finally because for the most part the layout is extremely similar save for the final point which adds this massive platform over the death pit which allows blue team to uh get an easier time of pushing into sentry nests which i'm a huge fan of even if this balance change exists in arguably one of the most purposefully unbalanced environments in tf2 what the hit me but not everything has changed just like on regular upward there's still a lot of opportunity for funny sentries if someone's gonna like throw a fireball at you or something is there a gun somewhere yeah it's a mini over there all right well i'm just gonna do it i have to kill the mini i'll protect you no it's still alive it killed three people all right well we did it there's at least there's no mini there's no there's nobody's here actually just this guy well victory molded grove is the third map we'll talk about which is a king of the hill map with not a whole lot of space to move around and an oddly tight midpoint but the gimmick makes up for it entirely in my opinion every time the capture point changes hands portals open all over the map that take you to a 3v3 arena in hell and whichever team wins this 3v3 deathmatch is awarded crits in the overworld the concept is unique fun and despite the winning team getting a huge damage buff the outcome of the spontaneous arena matches don't really seem to affect the flow of the game all that much it's very much just a fun little thing that you can do if you have the opportunity to and the cool thing about the hell world you fight in is apparently you can just carry a level 3 sentry gun through a portal and just plop it down in there oh last guy it's that medic all right medic here i come oh got him it worked all right okay i'm already on fire [Music] who's spamming the detonator [Music] should have brought a dispenser buddy the moment i find the funniest sentry spot in all of the game and bandy's on the other team all right oh we have a medic that's good i won't burn to death oh he fell off oh oh yes knocked him off there's one guy we win got him we got everybody oh he won it he won it and my sentry's just chilling in l now all right i didn't bring a level three i'm on many centuries now oh who's on direct hit for the medic oh what am i supposed to do about this man what am i supposed to do one dude jumps in you jump in jump in this is hell this is this is i'm actually an engineer hell right now [Music] and the final map megalo another king of the hill map with a unique and interesting gimmick and that the midpoint rises and lowers making the capture area uh very dynamic oh did you see that guy ghost randall what also there's a ghost train [Music] oh my god [Music] great [ __ ] all right ghost train stand up to my sentry gun then you'll never defeat me what honestly i thought screen fortress 2020 was pretty great i've been having a lot of fun playing the new maps which is uh saying a lot for me since i usually get pretty burned out on the chaos of halloween mode in like an hour but the goofy stuff that i've been able to get away with in this one has made it pretty enjoyable so uh um yeah um so the rest of this video is uh just gonna be just a compilation of um some funny gaming funny gaming scary version enjoy we're building on last oh i got out of balance uh so now somebody can come help me do the pumpkin bomb bonus i'm on the pumpkins up top you know that health pack near that bridge on right side dan once you cross the bridge and you've stated a riddle you will see a mighty goblin atop a rooftop what the [ __ ] [Laughter] i missed the first shot too on the screen i didn't want to say anything but it's not gonna save hey what just happened all right uh come to the ammo pack shack the ammo pack [ __ ] ammo pack shack yeah i know all about that [Music] um [Music] you know for halloween mode they sure do like to balance these maps in a game mode with a million crits everywhere you can build up here see this is what i want this
