in your we know that you you know you you had a football background upbringing playing football they say you ran a 44 yeah a 446 446 in your Heyday huh yeah yeah I you got you think you got cat now for sure for sure I I I smoke cat yeah I think because y'all both short y got those short ass leg get the moving fast 49 slow as hell and you a 44 a 446 yeah godamn I mean I look at it like that was my fastest every 10 years you could probably take a second off yeah so like he 49 now at 50 40 he probably was like 48 yeah I'm too high now I'll probably run a a 48 a 4 I think I can get a 47 though I ain't going to lie to you I think I can probably hit a 47 right now right now right now for sure 47 against against cat that's impressive for sure I think for sure I could 47 we got to do this now what Jackie R in the 40 right now this is like one of our main questions Jackie Jackie might be in a five five something you out your [ __ ] mom do you think do you think he's faster than YT we have this like internal like he faster you faster than Wht but I buy come on now a five I get a 49 y'all saying C Williams faster than me he might be you got a pocket no way you got a five my last name long with long legs yeah no way you had a five way out there on you think he's higher than a five he's lower lower no no I I ain't getting at you the side not I don't believe you five is crazy that's what I'm saying crazy that's how much Faith you got in me I'm not I it's nothing to do with you I'm just saying you got a lot to do with me how you looking at me you you you in your 40s that's Williams in his 50s he little though I ain't got to hear this [ __ ] like he little got older man than me he got no stic issues going on a five a five I'm your boy we got to go let's clock it let's clock it then Tom Brady ran a five we clock it Tom Brady ran a five Tom is alltime athlete prime example so you're going to beat you think I'm not faster than Tom that's debatable Tom Brady is a athlete I I agree with smart as a [ __ ] but he ain't no damn he ain't running I think everybody thank man I don't know about smart as a [ __ ] why you run the I've asked you this before let's get on probably like 48 4748 you rolling yeah like I don't think time yourself like y'all don't do that right n we don't we don't do the 40 yeah yeah it's like I like you might be faster though you think so like four six see my problem is like I don't know the technicality behind it you know what I mean yeah but like a couple a couple practices you you I think you h a five I feel like I be moving I can't like a 4 like 5 was like a 56 that's out of pocket [ __ ] five is crazy we wanted to take a brief break from thise episode to let you know that prize pick not only makes playing daily fantasy easy it in-class member support help center now back to the show I want to ask you something way way back in the beginning man yeah when you went to West LA College yeah and you play football yeah but I seen something I seen that you attended three more colleges after that Community College after that so I got a little confused I said what is he doing was he mad that the career didn't work out over there what happened with all these transfers talk to me about that what was that about so I had issues I had um so I got hurt one year when I was going to Glendale so that didn't count but I mean I probably said I was in in an interview or something MH that that I play for Glendale but I actually really didn't just went there and got hurt and never played but you were saying you did I mean I technically I was on a roster but I didn't play so it didn't count as a year of me playing yeah and um yeah and I went to uh Lac I was going to try to play baseball and that didn't work out and then yeah I went to lsla and then I went to jail so yeah the [ __ ] just wasn't working out man I was supposed to do this sport [ __ ] I'm two feet bro I'm two feet and I kep it didn't work out went to jail I said [ __ ] it we rapping you know what I mean so you know what I mean so then we got to it you foot you went a football didn't work out you went the baseball I was actually really good at baseball too though but it was just like all right let's try to do something else yeah so so what happened when you was playing baseball didn't work out you got you didn't get hurt on this I thought I was too nasty I thought I could really go somewhere at football yeah okay you know what I mean I really thought I can go somewhere in football but I had no chance no chance so so was Sports so like sports was like for you was sports like the end goal I just wanted to get some paper honestly I um I was just good at I was just good at honestly I was good at like everything like like I can cheat on the test really good you feel me like I can play sports good like you know what I'm saying whatever we doing we doing back flips I can do it I was just one of those [ __ ] so I was like I'm going to get some chili somehow some way and I was just trying to get some chili and I was just like I'm really good at sports I was better than everybody like that was around me and I can play like multiple [ __ ] yeah everybody would just play one thing but I was like you know I can play all this [ __ ] and I was like really nasty you know what I'm saying like music was no influence whatsoever like you was it wasn't like oh no music didn't happen till I was in my 20s okay so it was like like you know what I mean cuz you know High School dudes want to spit ciphers in I be at the cipher though I was really into music like I was really deep into music but I wasn't like trying to rap okay but I was like super like Nerdy with it like listening to [ __ ] that people probably wouldn't be listening to like like people used to give me Flack fish listening to NAS it's like you know it's Nas we look at it as Nas but when I was younger like [ __ ] just like bro this ain't dog pound SN you know what I mean East Coast West CO it was just like they wasn't trying to hear n of that [ __ ] yeah so it was like I was listening to N and [ __ ] you know what I'm saying so it made me seem like you know and then you know from there you think you a little different cuz you like oh I'm into this and then you dig into more [ __ ] next thing you know you really into that [ __ ] you know what I'm saying I was in the wuang and all this [ __ ] like east coast rap of course I still love West Coast rap so you just had a general hip-hop like yeah yeah I just had a ear for for for music probably for my mom's and [ __ ] cuz she used to play like random [ __ ] the house and I would never know what the [ __ ] it is but you just know you like the sound yeah yeah it was like all these sounds she was always playing and [ __ ] my mom's always were there were there other genres that you listen to or was it just like rap mainly rap but um you know regae um Jazz a little bit um but I I don't know I can't like name you a jazz artist gotcha but this is like me coming up what I'm talking about um moms were listening like rock and [ __ ] I know like black sabit for sure and um yeah I kind of got into Nirvana but for the most part mainly rap yeah and you play instruments I can like touch that [ __ ] but I can't really like you know what I'm saying I'm not going to sit here and say I'm a keyboard player you say you was good at everything you do that's why I was at that too though I'm not going I'm not going to disrespect the [ __ ] that really do keyboards and and and do all the [ __ ] and like really do it like you know what you can [ __ ] around a little bit but yeah I can [ __ ] around give an idea for somebody else to play okay or I can probably add on but um yeah I'm I'm not going to call myself like a yeah no so the sport route didn't end up working out hell no how did how did the connection to TDE form through the sport [ __ ] through the sport [ __ ] yeah so so my last year westla 2007 um if I'm not mistaken um Ali my engineer who was was engineer he mixed pretty much everybody in the [ __ ] game from the 2010s on up he mixed all the albums me and him he was like my boy my boy he still is but my boy and um we were both playing at westla and the first day of pass this fool gets hurt and I'm like oh my God and they taking him off on a stretcher all type of [ __ ] I'm like the first day like we the first day everybody like that's your boy your boy I'm like bro so he out it's over season done like you know he had like a SLP distance some crazy [ __ ] first day they a't we ain't even banging like just lining up Touch Somebody Touched you the wrong way first day cuz bro like oh my God too excited man SE yeah so you know I'm finishing up the season or whatever and um I'm getting into music music around this time and um he he tapped in the TDE um through like Myspace M and was like I'm an engineer and I'm trying to you know pull up basically you know that football [ __ ] is over with you know I mean I'm try I'm engineer I'm just trying to pull up whatever blah blah blah and punch responded and was like yeah pull up and um like I said we was boys and I was just getting into it they would just like pull up with me and I just pulled up with them and they had like um a random beat on and I just cracked to it I was barely this only like maybe my sixth time rapping uhuh and I just cracked to it and punch was like yeah come back and I was like oh all right for sure you was off the off the top or you had some [ __ ] already written up no I just wrote it just wrote it there okay but you know it wasn't that good but I think it was the fact that you know that we wrapped on that kind of beat I don't know he was just like testing us whatever it was you impressed him enough yeah yeah yeah yeah I wasn't like like I said I wasn't that great um but he said when I asked him now he just said like the details like I wasn't good at rapping clearly but he heard like it would be like one thing I would say it be like ooh uh oh like you know what I mean like oh almost here and there you know what I mean yeah yeah yeah yeah one of those things but the takeaway for you though like that [ __ ] had to feel good like you did you walk out of the studio like man that sh I killed it yeah that [ __ ] was I thought it was hard I was listening to that [ __ ] for a whole month playing it for everybody to this [ __ ] it's just a bunch of gun sounds that's the beat and um you know what I mean I'm just playing it for everybody and sure enough um I just kept coming back kept coming back and um yeah that [ __ ] you know and then like I said I went to jail and nobody would pick up the phone they would pick up the phone and um so when I got out they got they got me out on a house arrest type [ __ ] and um they R some [ __ ] up for me so I can leave the house now act like I was just like a janitor worker for TD and [ __ ] and I was just busting moves house arrest so they got you out of jail no they didn't get me out of jail I I I qualified for house arrest oh okay you got out for house arrest then they made it seem like you had a job with them get out off a house arrest so I can like lead a house on house arrest that was so I was leaving the house like three times a week type [ __ ] and everybody when I before I was leaving don't take the house arrest you going to [ __ ] up they going to give you three more years I'm like [ __ ] that you get to get some [ __ ] you get to eat you get to play video games you think I'm going to go outside to come back here bro I I'll do a whole year in this [ __ ] like at the house are you kidding me so that was my whole thing they were trying to talk me out I'm like these mother these uh County Jail lawyers is insane y'all y'all [ __ ] that up y'all must really got a bad back at the house I got a mama she love me bro going on I'm I'm out of here I went home got me some [ __ ] BR you know what I mean um uh [ __ ] I was up playing Call of Duty I was what world star just came out I'm watching people get beat up I'm like this [ __ ] is amazing I get the lead three times I didn't sh on one check stuff and I had the coolest um house arrest person cuz I had to have a job and I they gave me the [ __ ] they didn't see one check Stu they didn't give a he didn't give a [ __ ] as soon as my house arrest was over he just took the thing off didn't even look at me and just walked away and I'm like oh [ __ ] it's over like it's over damn that they told me not to do this right like man took one time for you one time one time yeah I ain't built for jail that's some other [ __ ] y'all [ __ ] is [ __ ] that like that [ __ ] is like all right bro I ain't built for that bro I'm not I ain't going to lie to you like you know I come from all that [ __ ] but I would ask your ass with the jail F but I ain't going to do that don't even worry about that I'm dead over here boy so I had uh I read that before you started taking rap seriously that you were somewhat considered as Kendrick Lamar's hype man but did did he say anything to you that kind of made you drop everything that you were doing at the moment and and really take the rap seriously or is there any story there that you can PO is too um I mean he was just going hard [ __ ] I mean sometimes when you around greatness like you can't ignore that [ __ ] something like that like most people wouldn't even notice it like that's how great he is clearly I mean it's Kendrick Lamar like even if you dislike his music like you can't deny who he is and what he's done right like and to see you can see that [ __ ] before it's happening and I saw that [ __ ] before it so he didn't have to really tell me [ __ ] really like I was just like you know inspired by him how he can just like go all the time so he moved more his leadership was more so on moving he'll kick game here and there and you just got to catch it but for the most part he working he ain't got time to be giving you no damn advice or you know like it's like [ __ ] keep up jump on the boat [ __ ] like you know and I just jumped on the boat and it was just like all right [ __ ] I guess I too you know what I mean and then sure enough we built some crazy [ __ ] as far as like his creative process goes cuz you've been in the game for a while you've probably seen a few different artists you know how kind of we look at athletes how they approach the game artists kind of do the same thing with their own music everyone has their own style and I know you just said he was just constantly on the go but was there a moment where you were watching him work and you just kind of realized like okay this guy's different the first like the first session bro like literally he just like you know he just so locked in like nothing is like a distraction you get what I'm saying like it's just mad weird bro like like I said you feel it like sometime like even a [ __ ] that ain't popping he can walk in the room and it just change the room MH you know what I'm saying it just was one of those things like all right he's playing the beat right now and everybody would just sit back and just like let him cook cuz he cooking and need a c l maybe it's good maybe it's not but he cooking and then if he didn't like it he going to come back the next day and redo the verse redo the verse redo the I seen this [ __ ] do 80 verses like you know what I'm saying on one song just to get it right yeah you know what I mean or just have four bars and just constantly work through those four bars until he makes it right yeah he just like on his own time and then just he just has this Vision that he he wants and he just like you know until he executed he not really tripping on like you know M just getting some [ __ ] off he's like really like trying to execute what he sees and yeah what he's trying to put together but the first time cuz it's that's that's crazy no yeah yeah he he been locked in since you know the beginning and and them songs was we we laugh about cuz them songs was trash like you know what I'm saying when he was on his little K do [ __ ] like yeah the the songs is they're not trash but I mean like you know they wasn't like you know what I'm saying to where he is he was like you know trying to be like a rapper I got the lambo I got the pop out you know what I'm saying and that's why he changed his name to Kendrick Lamar cuz he wanted a a fresh separate himself from K yeah like all right yeah that was like me doing that yeah trying to rap and he was still good at it but like I said it's like a would and then that's it it just was like a 180 he started speaking truth and he became him mhm you know what I mean just speaking truth right yeah I I got a question on just when you guys are doing an album right and like how hard is it to stay on track not only for whatever the the you know the focus is for that track but necessarily for the album right like not going out of context of what you want this album to be about like how hard is that like when you're writing when you're going through a song I know you staying on topic of what that actual song is about I don't know if I'm making sense with this question but say your topic uh is you know about women right yeah and you and and you writing for that specific track on women but for the whole album right how hard is it to like say on a bar you might go off track a little bit you ain't talking about that subject no more like like how like talk to me a little bit about like how how does that work is that a long process is that a hard process to kind of stay on topic of of what you want as an artist um I feel like as a recent like um like people know necessarily care about uh the album structure and like the cohesiveness M which is cool too but me personally I like the cohesiveness so um sometimes you you know like I said I me too I I I just recycle words pretty much cuz I know where I want to go with the album and where I want to go um so a lot of my songs are just like recycle verses and [ __ ] like that um leading up to the album but so say if I have a song about girls um and I'm trying to make the girl record uh I just I mean that's like you know you just do it like it just you just keep doing it till till you execute it pretty much just keep doing it keep doing it keep doing it if the album is about girls nailed it you know what I'm saying but for the most part if it just cuz the song is good doesn't necessarily mean it always makes the album too MH cuz I had to cut a lot of things off this album because it just didn't fit them I was going for MH um so yeah it is kind of uh tough but it's kind of easy too it's weird is is it just happens like I H I think all the gift with music is like you know that feeling you have and it's like oh yeah that's it I don't think we actually really know though like you know I just said a bunch of [ __ ] but to be real I don't think we actually know you know what I'm saying it's just something that you just like you just know it's like that's it just does yeah you have this feeling and and it's cohesive and it's like oh yeah it fits here it goes here okay you oh this what I was trying to connect this story cuz you remember the story you were thinking of and this other story and then you hear them in the lines of the different song you like ah I did it you know what I'm saying it just happens in a way you got to have a hell of an engineer that too basically yeah yeah yeah engineer man big part shout out to juice man cuz man he know me better than every anybody you know he know my mood swings you know you know what I'm saying when I'm like he know when I'm probably not about to do nothing M he know was like me in you know what I mean like like and he got to be on point cuz the way I record too I'm like all right no go back go back go back go back go back go back go back cuz I just like blurred at the mic so he's he's constantly just so blessings to [ __ ] juice man shout out to juice shout out to juice yeah he keeps it together for me one kind of followup cuz it it made me think of this so like when you're making an album which you just did are you like and I could be way off right here cuz I I don't know but are you thinking like album name songs lyrics or are you going song names then the album name then like you get what I'm saying like what what's the what's your process of like do you think of the album name first then you think of the names of songs or like how does that process kind of work the only album name I ever came up with first was oxy [ __ ] um but for the most part um I have titles but they always change but it be like similar names yeah for the most part all my albums are about my life so um however I'm feeling is where I start pretty much I just like I said I just blurred at the mic and um from there we'll build something like a beat around it and um we we'll go from there so I have just like a loop get a bunch of loops and um um just something for me to talk and then we'll literally strip that whole Loop and make a beat but you know just something just to give me a rhythm of flow of where I I want to go with it and you know that the E when you start writing and thinking uh which which I do do but when you write most of the time you're like thinking and trying when music is it should be a feeling more than anything so I just hum a lot harmonize and yeah then we get to that point and then once you cross that line of where you want to go and you you tap into that emotion of where you at with it like then you you you can go in and then you start pinning it and then you put the piece together mhm dope we want to congratulate you on the sixth studio album Blue Lips thanp everybody go get that go listen apprciate it that was an easy title but youve been around a whole bunch of girls with blue lipstick n no man it's a playoff like um you know another cuz I wanted to name this album me but like it was like how do I name this album me also like uh like cooling um like writing your wrongs almost like correcting myself like speechless almost like from you know sometimes you work so hard and you get to a point you like damn how the [ __ ] did I get here and you're actually there you know what I'm saying and it's like kind of speechless it's like it was like a bunch of meanings to it you know what I mean blue day could be a great day bad day um but most importantly is just about me um and like you know second half of my career cuz I I feel like I I peaked at the other side of it um and it's time to uh start a new chapter musically so this is the the start of the second half of my my career cuz I got like I'm going have like six halves of these [ __ ] though mhm um right now started the second part okay yeah I read that you shared this album with Kendrick Vince yeah Tyler uh Anderson pack [ __ ] who are five extremely successful artists but all unique right different styles different flows um I'm curious to the influence and you know just their creative perspective to you as to why you wanted to share your album with them we all came up together and we all kind of got this weird funky ear you know somebody that I appreciate where I'm trying to go with it or somebody that can like help input possibly M sometimes you play things for input sometimes you play things just to see a reaction sometimes you play things to try to read the you know same thing read the room reaction but for the most part I all of us we always play our albums for each other okay um and I think it was just like you know one of those things like I said get their ear man cuz them dudes are some talented [ __ ] man every now and then you know you can play a song and they won't say nothing once to ends and you like okay they don't like that one you know what I mean yeah so it's like uh you know it's like the the truth almost when people are sometime people are comment all the time time after every song or you know they know how to you know play it right and you know sometime you can love a album and not like something and just like in a way of like cuz sometimes it kind of blocks the Artistry I like you don't want to tell the artist oh I don't really like this song yeah right cuz cuz it's like all right maybe I didn't like that execution of that version but you know telling somebody another artist you don't like it or you should do this um it kind of blocks the create creative part of it cuz they may not try something else in that side of it you get what I'm saying that makes sense so like like like I said reading the room you know play some [ __ ] and then it just be quiet and you be like out of out out of all them guys who gave you some good or bad feedback uh all of them I mean like I said they just don't say nothing I like it so it's like all right yeah yeah but you know I I fuus more so on what they like more so than what they don't like because um we're artists and um I think nothing is perfect to us like so I'mma all any album you play me I'm going always be like oh it's going to be something where I'm going be like yeah n that's probably not my my thing but you know what I'm saying which is cool cuz that's like in that in that environment like that's your music like that's what inspired you at the time won't hit right then and there and it's like all good but when you play the slap and it don't hit that's the one where it's like we that's the we talk we be like damn you don't [ __ ] with that one you know what I mean like damn I what oh yeah you probably but you know the introspective [ __ ] and like [ __ ] to where it's like it really don't matter if they like it or not I'm putting it on the album I would more so like the input to help mhm um but you know like I said the slapper is the one where you like damn gots be like that's trash shut off [ __ ] said I run a back again I'm still hot about that now are y'all are yall are you are you going to them individually or like all not individually okay just individual the individually though like you know what I mean I bring cuz they're all different people and like they're always working and I only want to catch them when they want to like hear music cuz a lot of times I don't want to hear music cuz I'm like always working on it so going in and trying to like put input in it's almost like a all right I got to go do you know what I'm saying you like getting yourself ready and like trying to get yourself in the mood to like get into tap into somebody else's world right um so like I try to like keep it separate and tap in one onone and when they were in the right mind and they ready to do it and listen and [ __ ] and they're interested okay so we kind of Bas it around it and we you know yeah I saw on Twitter that you had hve yeah basically listen to the album walk us through how that process happened that you was able to link with ho to listen to the album um I put a tweet out like man I wish I could play Jay-Z just how I'm throwing it out there yeah did you have any idea that that would I just throwing it out there but it was bait I'm like I think he'll [ __ ] around and tap in you know what I'm saying might Ty in uh and then punch um sent it to uh Jay-Z but it was like this other Twitter account can't think of the name damn I suck I should be able to plug the homie but uh Dam yeah it was one of his tweets where he like retweeted it and yeah it was like sent our producers find it it was like something hip hop or yeah yeah some [ __ ] yeah I can't but shout out to him you know what I mean we we'll have we'll have a link uh on the episode so get get his credit and JayZ uh you know like let's meet up uh Thursday and I'm like damn this serious like all right and [ __ ] showed up I'm like this [ __ ] Jay-Z yeah like I done met him before but every time it's just like bro this is Jay-Z right right and it's different under this circumstances not really n um I'm an artist bro I know my I don't know I'm nasty so yeah it's like what what is he going to like that was more like what is he going to like did he like your Slammer oh yeah yeah he liked everything he liked everything he liked everything was it wasn't no like yeah you know what I mean I got couple quiet times I got one more slot for another song Ho see with the whole thing man like with my Idols man yeah like why Jay-Z in particular I done play music for pretty much all my Idols like um so he was like the last one on the list um yeah so you know I done played [ __ ] for Snoop before you know corrupt Nas all these [ __ ] never Jay Dre sh for Dre okay um so Jay was just like guy I wanted to play music for play sh for yay um yeah and I I got to do it and he was [ __ ] with it you know what I'm saying like and like giving me the breakdown and the details of it like he was actually listening and um yeah that's that was all I needed you know what I mean that's ultimate yeah like you know like one of those type of guys to appreciate it any nerves had to be nervous Studio you had to be nervous a little bit in there yeah listening to it you're not like did he KN his head something yeah we ran we ran some [ __ ] back all that okay stank face all the [ __ ] um bars you know what I mean like you know we talked about all the [ __ ] man yeah it it it's crazy I you know I'm scared to say too much I don't want I want to be invited back right right right we good [ __ ] with me I'm drinking with him I don't even really drink I don't even drink I just stopped drinking I just stopped drinking he has some a I'm like [ __ ] I'm drinking today yeah you ain't wrong he can't pass it's whole pull up man well we we drinking today it's one of them things like so HOV was recently at and it was a game I didn't play I was I was suited up so like we in a huddle it's timeout and it's unannounced like you know what I mean like usually we'll know like hey so and so is coming tonight or this person goingon to be Courtside tonight like we'll have some type of especially if it's someone of that magnitude I timeout called you know they huddle up look over I'm like oh [ __ ] like it's ho like you know what I mean like yeah about from where I am to where where you or Jackie is right so now it's like damn like do I want to be that person that's like cuz I know how it is for me I'm I'm at the game I'm trying to enjoy the game I look at it always from like a perspective of where I'm at you know what I mean and I put myself in other people's shoes in that same way so it's like I'm at the game I'm trying to enjoy oh man I a really want this [ __ ] come up to me but but then I think about like damn like I'm a I'm I hoop like I'm not just you know regular blow Joe coming over to to say what's up yeah long story short I ain't I ain't even go over there I was so nervous I was so nervous to go over there man this guy will play his music and you w even go give him a handshake I was like a little kid Oho say what's up to my boy how you going to do that that that's just me though like I don't like I feel you you got to see you bro yourt you Paul George you walk over there I know and I always like at the end of the day I'll be like man like it's not like I'm just coming over I would to be humble it's just like I don't know for me it's just I be I'll be nervous about that those type of encs you know what I mean yeah I I feel I definitely regreted it though next time I'm for show cuz i' like I've had Queen Latifa there and I for show went over there Martin Lawrence go to a game go to the games a lot I go over there say what's up to Martin we've had a lot of like you know what I mean personnel's there but I for some reason ho was just like it was just a different level yeah that [ __ ] don't seem real right yeah he don't like like bro this [ __ ] JayZ like what the [ __ ] it don't how are you like Brea in like a real person like right and like walking like the [ __ ] like he just like I don't even remember him walking together don't seem real some crazy [ __ ] huh you got two out of them two is like two people that you don't see seem that's real Beyonce and him GH I even see him walk in like where where did he come from bro it's crazy yeah like he just came right next to the parents like whoa you get like more like not nervous but like do you pay attention to that stuff like oh so and so is at the game like does that give you like another level of like show out no not not necessarily like I mean from uh like not from like oh this person is here but it's more so of a like they respect the craft as well so like you know I know it's it's some sort of inspiration that that goes on both sides like same way I go to if I go to a concert it's like and let me see how he performed how he Rock a crowd or his stage presence like let me see if I can take that with me when I go out and play and and what can I draw from that so I look at it more from that perspective of like all right let me give all I got let me show all who I am so maybe it's some inspiration that that person takes like yeah when I go to a Clippers game like or when I go to a Paul George game like man that [ __ ] hoop like yeah yeah you know like let me go back to another one like I he put on a show like so that's that's more so of but it's not from a oh [ __ ] so and so's here let me make sure uh like yeah it's kind of just uh like yeah you kind of I want them to come back or I want them to know what like a Paul George performance is like yeah I mean you pretty much be hoping yeah pretty straight straight I think you straight well I want to ask you about your Blue Lips still the album I want to keep it there for a little bit but I got to be a little nosy because it took you five years for this album to come out yeah and in 2021 is when most of the lyrics was written so this is where I get confused at because I'm trying to figure out in 21 you could have came out with it so I want to know literally what what is the the the process from an artist when it come to crafting an album like this and what makes you say you know what this is it this is all the songs that's coming on here this is this is what I want we done you just abandon that [ __ ] it's over uh but I yeah it was like pretty much done in 2021 but I didn't like all the production on it so much and then I was just like I want to make it sound like you know like this and I pretty much made it the way I wanted to make it sound but I I wasn't tripping on like uh time and [ __ ] plus it was just right after Co during the co time I just got off tour 2020 and I was like do I really want to do this again right now like go back out like you know what I'm saying and like and then I'm not going to be moving around like like dropped the album from the crib I didn't really live so most of the lyrics were written in 2021 but things were changed like certain pocket certain uh pieces of the lyrics yeah yeah but the base was there but yeah for the most part I didn't like the uh production where it was at and I wanted to switch it up a little bit so we just worked on production pretty much the last about to say how hard is that working on the production doing something like that you damn near already got the whole track done and and it's ready to go and you like I don't like this what your your boy come in your engineer again yeah yeah juice and uh T Beast all the homies bro uh Fu cardo they all got it right Cal Devin Sky yeah they came through they got it together for me uh J pounds yeah they just kept crafting [ __ ] around there we just kept I mean the studio we we sh we just have a party every night pretty much right right it's well in it's morning now we done switched it up to morning times but we just have a party like a party every night and until we feel like it's ready just we ain't tripping right you know what I'm saying lyrics are done at least so we think and then you know I did three songs I would say MH um in the last year I would say for this album um blue SL blue slides being one and even that had lyrics from like 2020 in it but um yeah bro I just I just rather like you know what I'm saying do what I do and like Move On My Own Drum that way you know what I'm saying people that are interested in it you know they appreciate it and um people that's not [ __ ] I already got my chilly [ __ ] I'm trying I'm trying to I'm I'm trying to like make some [ __ ] that's going to put that set me up for extended career I don't want to keep I don't want I don't want to microwave anything because I feel like that's a lot of people get into what they do and they find that pocket and they stay in it and and and it irks my nerves like it's so many talents and people but they so scared to like go outside of what they do and you can go outside of what you do while still doing what you do if you just speak what the Your Truth like your truth here like your life and that [ __ ] if your life is like [ __ ] [ __ ] and like smoking weed and doing drugs and [ __ ] you can still pour that [ __ ] out on you know what I'm saying but like you know I think most of the time it's like uh like I said it's more so um the game don't switch to like uh not really album based type music so looking at somebody take five years to work on an album could seem crazy and I don't advise nobody to do it but at the same time you know it was something I wanted to do and it just happened to take that time take that time but yeah um yeah album like the album people for sure like as of right now don't care much about albums everything is like playlisting yeah have you shot uh you got any visuals coming with this album yeah yeah I did a lot of things beforehand um leading up to it but I'm shooting thank God for me right now um I'm in the process of it and like a bunch of other visuals that's already shot already um I just haven't released them yet okay okay yeah I'm just trying to get everything I wanted to do like visuals before album out do do a couple media spots do visuals again more music more art um more packaging like just keep making it a thing throughout the year um instead of just doing the one week thing like uh flooded for a week and then like kind of disappear and just tore I want I really want to keep making uh product and content from this album because I put a lot of years in it and I filmed pretty much the whole process for the whole almost five years just film me in the studio so I got years of [ __ ] footage of me in the studio working on this album and I just want to keep utilizing it yeah I want to talk about the process a little bit cuz I I am intrigued by the process and I and I watched a a video where you were talking about how a studio session could be a 12-hour you know what I mean session where you locked in that whole 12 hours um I know for me I have a routine with a 80 82 Game season right shees yeah but it be a lot and then you know you got a off season routine right like I want to know a little bit about like is is there a steady routine cuz 12 hours in a Studio you you touched on it in that interview that I watched that you know it ain't no sunlight it ain't no you know you literally in a studio no screens no like it's it could be it could be brutal you know if you locked in for that long extended period of time is there a routine that you go through that you know you got to check these boxes for you to have a clear creative process going yeah so that is done now the 12 hour [ __ ] yeah that's out that [ __ ] out ain't no more of that out that's completely out I do four hours now and I go hard for 4 hours and um because honestly I thought I was locked in for 12 but no it's you're not locked in for 12 it's a lot of downtime in there and that 12 so a lot of times there be things in there where you don't have to be there too you know what I'm saying um so now I changed it to 4 hours and I get way more work done within the 4 hours than I did with the 12 if that makes sense right but I recently changed it up um towards the end of this album like the last three songs I did yeah for the album and I was like oh [ __ ] I should have that worked yeah yeah yeah and then it gave me more time to be with like my family and [ __ ] and like uh I get to train my daughter and [ __ ] um I get to play video games get the golf mhm you know what I'm saying I get to live life outside of it instead of wasting like 8 hours in there of me like talking or like trying to like cuz it got a feel like all right I got 12 hours I can procrastinate a little bit before we actually get to the work or I maybe do this over here or do that you know you you going in there all right I got this amount of time let's work let's get right to it yeah but I will say this at the beginning of every album I will probably do a 12 okay so probably that's where you start at yeah yeah I would probably say even though I said I'm not going to do it but I am going to do it uh like within the next two weeks I'm probably going to lock back in in the studio okay and uh to be start on this next one okay and um I'm probably going to do like two weeks to 12 hours of just like but I'm I'm not really like really rapping I'm just like I said yelling at the mic and searching for where we going to go with it and uh just playing any beat that comes on playing any sample throw a YouTube on and just play some sample [ __ ] and just find a pocket and then yeah we just just [ __ ] blurt for 12 hours and then like I said once we narrow it down we find that thing we broke through 4 hours baby and we in and out every day you know what I'm saying come in BO we do all the talking in the group chat you know what I'm saying now and then we come soon as we come in it's already loaded I go straight to it and Boop if we ain't getting nothing done by 12:00 I go from 8 to 12 we ain't getting nothing done from 8:00 a.m. to 12 yeah tomorrow so it sound like you you've learned what you could do better through the process yeah talk to us a little bit about like what you love out of the process and what you hate about the process what I love out of it is you learn yourself that's the thing about um musicians like we like [ __ ] we're like therapist typee [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like um where a [ __ ] sit up and talk to a therapist we talk to a mic we talk to our homies like you know that's what a lot of the biggest artists in the world are like some of the most vulnerable like you know about their lives and [ __ ] right exactly your favorite rappers you can tell them you can tell me all about the kids you can tell me about you know where they grew up where they you know what I'm saying like you know we spill our uh our pain and [ __ ] and um you learn from it like um a lot of things I say when I put it out there I have to live by those words now right you know cuz sometimes it may not be present it may be something I'm talking about that I'm working towards and um if so like me my one of my big thing was like neglect I would do a lot of neglecting while working on an album with my kids type [ __ ] right M so now that I put it out there that you know know that's bad and I shouldn't do it I have to live by that you got to live by that now you know what I'm saying so that's the part that I don't like even though it's the good part once again but I don't like it because it's like it's no turning back and I have to you know it's one of those things you just you know carve your body up you know what I'm saying you have to and you got to live by it but it seemed like you're a person that embrace the change you Embrace that part of you you know getting better and and and cuz you I mean you we we seen it you yeah Sports was you thought your original calling yeah threw that out the window all right what's next you know what I mean so it seems like you Embrace what's next for you and and and the change and you know so how like I don't know why why you don't think that's good uh cuz I feel like that [ __ ] ain't good cuz it's like [ __ ] I got to do this [ __ ] do that you know what I mean I may be doing that [ __ ] for a while you know what I mean like you know you if you neglect something for a few years like once again like this might take some few years to get comfortable right right right break a Hab something uh yeah yeah like for a while me like me and my daughter super close but for like a couple years we wasn't and she we're in the same house we wasn't as close cuz I would like you know come home do what I got to do with soccer with her and then I'm like tuned out and I'm like focused on the art so that's and then two years go by and then you know what I'm saying now the conversation isn't that grade of the conversation that we used to have right she kind of pushing away she's doing other things right you get what I'm saying you're like oh [ __ ] right you forget they growing as well yeah yeah yeah so you know neglect [ __ ] is kind of but yeah you got to get to it and you know kids wasn't coming to you like Daddy remember you said on yeah that one song but um yeah you know it made it made us better though like like me and my daughter super super cool now and all we talk about is sports and [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like that's literally all we talk about is sports she's super into sports and soccer so I just pretty much base our whole relationship and just be a friend more so than anything I'm more like a friend that then like a right right you know what I'm saying we just play could talk about sports and [ __ ] like that cuz I'm scared I don't want my daughter to hide [ __ ] from me that's the biggest fear is a dad man yeah like man if you smoking weed and [ __ ] man at least H me let me find out or something like you know I mean don't go up to college and start doing that dumbass [ __ ] like please like let me catch you once right right you know what I'm saying so Joy if you watching this she is she be watching she be sneak she act like she going to be watching my she be sneaking and watching sneak and watching it right watching it right now look man I ain't going to be mad at I ain't going to say that on camera right now that might be bad but look man you know don't wait till college for me to yell at you is it more like is it is it more so like in that in that setting right is it more so like you rather baby girl come to you like Hey Dad listen or is or is you rather have that conversation I found a little doobie in the you know mean [ __ ] I smoke stupid weed so she been around weed her whole life like that [ __ ] ain't like nothing right I'm like you know how [ __ ] leave a beer on the she may see a a 2 O of gas on the [ __ ] table you know what I'm saying like [ __ ] just weed my mama grew up smoking weed like you know what I'm saying isn't it funny I don't know how how your parents was but I know I don't want to my dad smell like dope pops ain't worried about this like so you know he he'll like try to hide it as if like I don't know what you doing you know I mean my mama once TR hi it he used to do that [ __ ] up until like I would say maybe like four or five years ago where he literally like like Dad I know what weed smell like he be what's up son I see the smoke behind you dog I see the smoke behind that's that you know what I mean they that's that parenting though they don't want you to see them they don't want you to see right yeah like no like I ain't never been drunk in front of my daughter like I don't do none of that type of [ __ ] like you know what I'm saying I don't smoke in front of her um she know I smoke and it's always around but I got my room I go to to smoke but I smoke so much the whole house smell like ass you know like it's like bad bro I got to stop because her friends come over like the are the parents and come I be like a if I'm like walking out the back and I see the parents talking you know what I'm saying to my girl or something and I'm like a like I know they smell the [Music] whole never come back they you know what I mean sometimes I see kids and they they never come back soon as the parents walk to the front door like you a com back over there and I'm like bro I ain't walking around this [ __ ] smoking I got my little you know but you know it is what it is it's still got that stigma and you know what I mean right but for the but for the most part most of the parents be cool they don't be tripping okay um but a couple kids I ain't never seen them again I'm like what happened to such and such you know oh well we still friends she smoking parents she can't come over no more I'm smoking sleep no no I got one but that's what I'm saying I and I got a I got a big ass house too he smoke a lot I think I get in the man C with the Big Air filters and all that yeah no that [ __ ] ain't going to work yeah that that's it's only so much that them can do that [ __ ] yeah that I'm I'm smoking n i I smoke a lot especially if I'm playing a game or if I'm like coming up cuz I got like a little Studio set up in the back too so sometime I'll be just coming up with ideas just bullshitting and and I'm I'm gassing the whole time you ain't got your own weed line yet ah no man um I tried [ __ ] with the weed business but man they got too many hands in the pocket I ain't I can't uh I don't see it being profitable for me especially as much as I smoke I I'm might have to produce all type of [ __ ] nobody got time ain't nobody got time for all that you know what I'm saying but um I gladly play for my weed cuz I don't be like talking to [ __ ] they be want you [ __ ] give you free weed he want to talk here I got the chili for you get your thank you bop peace bro got time for that [ __ ] [ __ ] be trying to give you the free weed and do all this [ __ ] man I don't want no free weed I'm trying to pay for my [ __ ] bro get your ass on man like you know what I mean like I know what you mean like damn I don't even mean it in the Bouie way I mean that [ __ ] as like just like bro I just wanted some weed I just wanted that yeah yeah yeah like good looking bro you know what I mean you definitely my boy 100% but I'm trying to smoke this [ __ ] I called you cuz I want to smoke I don't want to like hey give you hat this you this when you smoke I rather gave you the chili I love the chili you know what I mean hold your shirt I in on this shirt I got a whole pound for the free for the pound stupid ass I stop holding the pound I'm like man I a hold the pound no more man give me that [ __ ] get on yeah yeah man take the money bro good so uh we know that you're a lifelong Laker fan and I think we've all seen those videos of LeBron he's always you know supporting artists and bumping whatever he's listening to at that time but he had uh recently tweeted that he was listening to your new album Blue Lips what was your reaction when when you saw that tweet from LeBron James man I mean it's [ __ ] Brown [ __ ] like bro that [ __ ] one of the greatest um just him acknowledging you is that's all you need you know what I'm saying [ __ ] that's all I needed to know you know every time [ __ ] like him even be knowing who I am I be like what the [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like he another [ __ ] is like that's a real person I've seen that [ __ ] before like bro cuz actually a real dude like right [ __ ] like 9 fet this big ass head like what the [ __ ] like you know what I'm saying so that's brown like that's that's respect that's respect yeah when it comes to travel every family has a happy place a five-star resort Kendrick talk to us a little bit about what you remember most from that night and just the overall experience of that game it's crazy that night CU that night I met Jay-Z for the first time and he asked us for a picture which which was crazy he like yo let me get a picture I'm like [ __ ] Jay-Z the same night I send that part to Kanye West right and I've never met Kanye and I meet him that night too and he like I got the song BL blah blah I'mma do the verse tonight and I'm going send it to you tomorrow I'm like this is mad weird Kanye tells you he's going to do yeah yeah so the whole time I'm like zoned out at the game I'm just like thinking about then I remember doson something like bro I got 40 I'm like wait he got 40 and then yeah then the [ __ ] had 60 we like wait C just DRO 60 but they were just giving him the ball like this some [ __ ] for a while we was like man it's some [ __ ] why they they kept kicking him the rock kept kicking him The Rock he was gassing though I was like yeah that's right that's righte was gassing that's my favorite player man that's my my favorite player all time uh Kobe but yeah I I I was more like so into the the Kanye Jay-Z [ __ ] where like like what the [ __ ] just happened you know what I mean like in my musical career and like me being courtside at Kobe's last game you know that like I said that [ __ ] was a blur up until he had like 40 yeah and then it's l yeah this is crazy can't believe I then you know I couldn't believe I was there yeah right I couldn't believe I was there it was insane and I was at his um Jersey retirement D that [ __ ] was crazy too yeah real crazy moments yeah yeah it's like bruh [ __ ] Kobe bro like you know what I'm saying only Kobe Bryant bro those words that that Mamba out dropped the mic like that that always Mamba out he killed it he killed the speech he killed the speech but that Mamba out dropped like that always has that always have like just like I can always just go back to that you know what I mean like it just has a a a stamp in my brain that I always just remember that Mamba out you was you Star Struck by Kobe first time play hell yeah first time playing them hell yeah I tell the story all the time right and and the first my first time playing them we had uh Brian Shaw was one of our assistants so I'm I'm in awe of them you know what I mean like man this is cold like same way with h like it was like it it I couldn't fathom me being on the court and he checking me he guarded me so like that I'm really like looking up and down like you know what I mean like from his shoes from his shortss like I'm I'm getting all details like orbs is big like his shoulders is Broad like you know what I mean so I'm I'm guarding them and I'm just like damn like I don't am I too close to this like you know am I get let me give him a little space am I too close like am I pressure him like too much I was in that in that mindset and then it took all the way up until he elbowed me right and that [ __ ] hurt and I was like I snapped out of it it was like I saw red at that point that particular Moment I Saw Red and it was like all right he coming from my neck yeah so from that point on and then I had Brian Shaw as an assistant he talking [ __ ] to Kobe while I'm guarding him and so now them two is going at it about me so yeah at that point I I I quickly snapped out of whatever fandom you know Idol point of view I was looking at him and it was like all right we here to compete like let me let me go at him and so I I like I just got great memories man from even the last time I played him in Indiana dope dope game where it was it was like iconic right cuz he was it was it was it was it was mid Kobe like he didn't play well to start out he was missing every shot he was jacking him though right and when you play in Indie Lakers fans follow so that Laker game or that Indie the game was at home in Indiana so it felt like it was 50% Indiana fans 50% Lakers fans so when he scores the crowd going crazy and we at home and I remember like he was he it was just a slow night for him he couldn't make shots he couldn't make shots but the game is close and it was three minutes left in the game [ __ ] couldn't miss and he making tough shots like it was just like that clutch Jean just hit and I'm like man this he is like this is why it's Kobe he was doing [ __ ] he hit me with a move where he didn't even dribble he caught the ball with his back to me and he didn't even dribble and he shook me like he shook me like I'm guarding him and he did this little pivot move where he faked this way and I bit hard right and he just turned over his left his left shoulder fade away from three Cash crowd going crazy this [ __ ] crazy but I I got the last I I took pride in like the two times we played against him like I got to get these two wins got those two wins so uh I was able to beat my idol man but P I've never asked you this how does that usually work like cuz that was his final game in Indiana correct yeah do you do the teams talk like cuz I know he came into the locker room I believe after that you got like a a pair of tennis shoes signed up did you have to ask for that do the teams just do that does Kobe know that P wants he had his yeah he had his like he had his like certain destinations that he was going to go play and and and his like I was one of his guys like I had a I had a relationship before got it with Cole prior to that that game and so and prior to that he had missed a couple games but he let us know ahead of time like Hey listen CO's GNA play when he comes to Indiana he he wants to play against you like so I knew ahead of time going into that game Cole was gonna suit up I was hyped like I'm one of the ones that he you know what I mean wanted to suit up against for his last his last go around D um so yeah like yeah I knew it beforehand but you knew he'd come back lock room I knew and they made sure everything was cleared out everybody had to leave like he went through a back uh he went through like a back way entrance way into our locker room and he's there to talk to you me and him it was me and him in there for about 5 10 minutes Hees out everybody was gone me and him chopping it up I had to wait around like he you was and I take a minute glad I take a minute and I was I had to wait for him cuz you know he had to ice down he had to do all this guy takes two hours after games to like get ready to leave the arena it's crazy two hours I mean that's that's maybe a little exaggeration but most guys in the league I'm I'm always the last one out the locker room guaranteed yeah y'all [ __ ] yeah like I said y'all 9 ft bro like y' be 82 games bro yeah it's brutal like 82 games y'all been playing since y'all was one yeah and then y'all play 82 y'all grow to 9 ft and yall like what so as you wake up I just like oh my God that [ __ ] seems crazy also this why I don't know if this is a bad question if so but what does location have to do because yeah I'm sorry it's no [ __ ] way I'm moving to uh I ain't about to say that team I would we a weak City they got to give me a billion hilarious a billion like a not going there let's think does location have something to do with you well you play OKC I'm sorry in Indiana yeah yeah never mind yeah never mind never mind no but you there for the you there you it does from a like like location means a lot when it when it comes to like your body though I did notice when I played in Indiana and then when I played and and came back to LA my body just feel so much better because it ain't as cold you know what I mean so I did from that perspective like where I played that [ __ ] meant a lot because it be some days when I was in Indiana it was just like man I'm stiff my yeah you know whatever soreness I had it was like Amplified cuz it's just so cold there and ankles is stiff and and then when I'm here I wake up sometimes and I'm like man I feel good you know yeah hey I mean you had like come back home bro like [ __ ] that from India to Oklahoma and then when I was in India I was like man like what's from a city standpoint right cuz you know I've seen a lot at that point in time being in La like I know what a city life is like so I'm in India and I'm like man like what's worse than here from a city standpoint I get traded to Oklahoma and it's like take me back to Indiana like it ain't much to do here you know what I mean from a city standpoint the people was obviously amazing but from a city standpoint it was like I didn't think I get worse yeah big city to one of those is yeah insane but I mean hey you there to hoop you there to hoop right right right right you lock so I I feel it I didn't like I said it didn't work out for me so I'm talk I'm talking from from a different perspective I didn't have a [ __ ] chance so yeah I want to uh ask you a question that had our boy your boy Vince Staples on our show yeah I want to ask you the same question that I asked T because he has some good ass answers I want you to give me some answers we asked him if he was NBA Commissioner for one day what would he change immediately so I'm POS the same question to you first off 5 Seconds to get your ass across uh seconds 5 Seconds 5 Seconds to bring the pace up to where [ __ ] got to come in yeah you have to check and and the point point guard he has to be the your lead Defender has to be at the end of the uh half court you know the circle he's got to beet you you got to be there at the top five five seconds to get cross and a guy got to be there if not penalty we shoot free we shoot one free throw cuz I'm sick of this [ __ ] ain't nobody locking up I ain't nobody locking up I want to see somebody lock up yeah I want to see somebody just play hard so that's what I would do for a day that's the only thing you stupid pick up so can that person pick up can he pick up a lot like can he pick up earlier than that half court or he got to wait for him at the half court he got to wait for him at half court okay so we giving you the five we're giving you the five you know what I'm saying but as soon as you get it you got to come up it ain't no and it's straight to it score you got to get your ass up if y'all want to set a plate y'all got to get your ass up fi I mean feeli y'all got to get your ass up Court boom and then soon as the ball inbound you ready all right come on boom boom boom boom get right to it n you hear what I mean it's too much set and go and pics and [ __ ] doing this man I'm cool I want to see you know I mean so a little F but I like you know mean I like the Finesse though but um I just want to see some lock up a little bit man I don't know but I really want y'all to play yeah cut it down 30 Games 30 games if we can't do that if we what I'm saying a problem what I'm saying is is is you think by that by farfetch but the games will be a little bit more competitive me personally I think yeah it'll be a little more competitive um people like two and like 18 they already know what's up you feel me it's like all right you know's yeah like we that time wasting y'all better figure that draft [ __ ] out now and all the little [ __ ] and you know what I mean and I think it just makes the game interesting a little bit more less injuries probably y I'm curious why you said defense cuz we just had this discussion on the last podcast like how the NBA is more of an offensive League was there like a certain player was it Kobe watching him lock up and take those challenges why did you say like why do you enjoy watching defense was there something he DB football not necessarily so I mean I love offense though but like I love offense more the defense to be real like you know I mean Paul the [ __ ] Kyrie like bro like Jamal Crawford like like bro I love that I love all that [ __ ] yeah but I'm I'm just not believing everybody is good enough to drop 40 bro I just don't believe it bro like come on come on bro sometime they be like such drop 40 i' be like man I'm cool bro no way he dropped 40 H like no way you let him drop 40 that's crazy I just don't get it I I I do I think people got better in the NBA hell yeah for sure but um and that's the thing now that that's what I want to ask you do you think is that because people are too good now yeah that you can't even check up that close what do you think why everybody dropping 40 like what is the problem now so they I mean it's the pace of the game is a lot faster so it's it's more opportunities with that you know everybody's playing through their star player so they get more shots already off top yeah and then the game isn't as like when I first came to the league it was like I don't know it was it was it wasn't as much parody amongst teams like now it's like two maybe three [ __ ] on a team that's averaging 20 yeah right like my first couple years in the league it was like 10 [ __ ] 15 [ __ ] in the league that averaged 20 and up like everybody else was like 19 18s um it just it wasn't you know you wasn't seeing big explosive nights like that unless somebody just had a good night yeah so I I think that has something to do with it a little bit a little bit uh and and it's just like you can't play defense the way we once did like yeah everybody's got creative now like they figured out how to to you know work the officials to call this you know on a like it it might be somebody that's not even necessarily looking to score and they do some [ __ ] and they get two free throws it's like damn he ain't even trying to score so I think people got creative with that [ __ ] of getting to the line and and like that those averages is going up but I I think overall the league just got better it's a lot more skilled players more so than yeah defensive minded players if that makes sense yeah yeah that could be a problem too you know mean Y is doing that old [ __ ] I [ __ ] be having me hot yeah that [ __ ] be weak and then he got 40 4010 40 like 90 assist I don't think he's one of those guys though that they're just not playing defense I think they're trying to stop no no no 100% he's he's disgusting but it's just like since when a dude like that never never could do all this [ __ ] I don't even like basketball what are you talking about you just Dr 90 yeah he just do all type of [ __ ] he he's one of the rare cuz he like he one of them players though that like he just affect the game so much and before you know it it's like damn he got 30 like yeah D he got 20 rebounds like damn he got 15 he's just one of those players that just constantly affect the game you know what I mean so it's some players that just you put them on the floor and Magic happen you feel me same way with Luca put him on the floor it's just magic happens you know yeah that [ __ ] bro the he disgusting too yeah the they he hey the the white boys actually got a squad theying I thought he was gonna say Austin Reed yeah I saw came out with his starting starting all white five and he didn't have Pritchard on it he didn't have Pritchard on it who the star I commented would eat all these guys up rich from he's cold he a big he been a big fan of him yeah he's he's unbelievably talented to me anyway's let's PIV it a little bit to the golf yes let's get right to the golf finally take his golfy weit I heard what you nine handicap no at your best what was that at your best you was n handicap I was a nine I got to a seven at one point um but right now I'm [ __ ] I haven't been playing so yeah um I play like um and that's cap I do be playing a little bit I just lost it yeah and I think I'm in denial get it back and um yeah so I um but like I said I don't practice though anymore MH I just been going out and playing and just [ __ ] around and I'm like pretty bad right now what's like if you go out what are you shooting 72 what what's what's I say I'm like a rising right now I'm like a 13 14 handicap right now that's still good yeah you know if I just do a month of just range work I get back get back easy but yeah until that I you know yeah yeah I've been working on my game been working on my game I I recently got into it I would say seriously within like the last year or two yeah that's what's up I mean do that's that's tough though like a whole year [ __ ] golf players yeah cuz that's you got to take the club once again that [ __ ] way up here like you know but the boss so far that's what that DET be like I'm not going to lie when I first started it it was like man I I just I don't think it's for me I'm too tall for this [ __ ] I was telling him he was the one that got me into it so I was like man I just think I'm too tall for this [ __ ] cuz I'm trying to like cuz and everybody tell me like oh you're long limbs you got leverage like you can crush this [ __ ] my mind it's like all right it's got to be easy like this [ __ ] can fly and then when I go to the range I see dud 70 80 years old they hitting the [ __ ] out of me and it it's it look like it hurt when they swing but the ball flying so I'm like man like I I gotta just figure this [ __ ] out you know so it took me some time I think now I'm in a good place I actually went to the range uh today before we came in to shoot actually that's what's up worked on my game uh you you playing like uh you playing playing or are you like I'mma play Thursday we in uh we're in Portland for like 4 days so we got a day in between a game so I'm going go try to play uh a little 18 while we out there okay you got a handicap I ain't even that good said no no no he's gotten a lot better what what said dude what's your favorite course you've ever played cuz I'm sure you've played at a fair amount of places what's one course that has stuck out to you all the courses you've played what's your favorite course that's tough It's he's probably played a lot of good courses a hoopie where that's say where hoopie what's it called hoopie it's in a cob town uh Georgia it's like I only got like a 100 members it's like some silly [ __ ] okay I love Monterey Peninsula um Cypress [ __ ] it's a lot spot no it's a lot bro I don't I don't really have it's it's hard to say my favorite yeah M like I really Pebble I love Pebble have you gone down and uh play some of the the like courses in Cabo or yeah I played a I played a couple courses in Cabo I don't remember the names I know we went to what one and only uh ch ch chilano chilano chilano have you played Peach Tree Peach Tree quarter Delane no never played I play pach sick island green where you shoot it then you take a out to the theame yeah I got to play there I got to play there but um yeah uh that's tough man I played a lot of courses that's sick but um mainly West Coast courses is my favorite though yeah um because the weather is [ __ ] other places man St Andrews too play St Andrews that [ __ ] is that [ __ ] was crazy just being out here that was terrible San Antonio San Antonio that weather was doooo yeah yeah playing golf in bad weather is just like I'm spoiled with it so bad weather a little bit of rain a little bit of I'll be like I'm cool yeah you know what I'm saying a really my type of you you a have the itch though uh yeah I mean I'm about to start like really really getting back on it get back into it yeah yeah I'm about to start getting trip booking trips all type of [ __ ] I'm about to get all the way back we got we got to run R I'm I'm at a place where I'm like comfortable to like be out cuz my whole thing was to try and play with like one pack of balls right cuz I buy like what is it what what did you get like I'm going do the whole thing and then I'm calling who like whoever is with us like man got to calll Shack like can we get another uh 12 can we get another 12 like that's how bad I was and now I'm about like I I'm it might be one one or two packs like I've gotten to like one or two packs damn yeah that's I mean that's you're going to be losing balls for a while I mean I you know even on my good days I still may lose a ball yeah but yeah bro this [ __ ] a gind bro like I I don't man golf is weird especially on your personality cuz you can um put too much time into it if you sometimes I catch myself putting too much time into it and that's why I completely backed off for a while like 2 years and like I'm not practi and I'm going just play yeah like um cuz I got a crazy personal dict to personality and it was like I was trying to get too good it was like this is out of pocket and I had to I think that's where I'm at yeah yeah like I'm literally walking around the house and we got we got a bunch of mirrors up in in our house so I'm literally walking with a with a club with me around the house every mirror I stop at I'm oh no that's good money that's good m that's good money Co right there that's good money when you start like bro I would play 36 every day damn 36 hoes every day that's exhausting me and the homie June will play 36 hoes every day dog yeah that's exact that's different insane bro and it's just like what course was this y'all was that's too much Calabasas I mean you can't do it now that that [ __ ] flooded but um yeah bro we would play every day 30 every day every day every day addicted trying to get trying to break even trying to break even just like you know what I'm saying chasing it forever yeah yeah yeah never doing it no hoing ones any hole in ones never no hoing on came close hit the pen don't count bounced out like but I seen a couple homies get them and um I'm jealous seen one of my homeboys like while I'm on the Range f my homeboy Roy Clayton baseball player um I'm I'm ranging the how far the distance is and he hits as I'm doing it and I just see his ball drop in on the [ __ ] hole right on as I'm ranging the the distance I'm like bro you just made that he like for real he didn't even know he like walking back to the car I'm like bro that [ __ ] just went in I'm pretty sure that [ __ ] went in yeah cuz made that [ __ ] Jackie had one funny incident mine went in too no no it didn't wait wait how you don't have no no no no no whated I hit I hit it it was it it was a part three it was a part three it was probably like 160 170 out somewhere around there uphill uphill had a little bunker in front so you couldn't see right you can see the flag but not the whole so he hit it we don't see it so we like oh [ __ ] monkey made it so we all get to our cars we driving up to it we still don't see it so he going crazy R out to the I'm like I made that [ __ ] was went it went in a hole somewhere but it looked like from our point of view it looked like it was right on the line get dropped right in that [ __ ] it's my memory that we got that me something that I didn't do that was his only good shot of yeah I was my only good shot that day how good are y'all though how good are y'all too he the best one so I'm typically and I don't play a whole lot but I'm like a 13 14 handicap the lowest I've got it was down in the 13s right now I I'll go shoot in the '90s and that's a good day for me I'm going to have some good shots have fun but when I'm playing I'm high 80s and but now that he's getting into it but I don't have a whole lot of golf buddies and he kind of that addictive personality like now watching him like hey let's go to the range now I'm like hey let's go so now we've we've both kind of been working on it hell yeah that's what's up yeah they go way more than me I ain't got a handicap it is [Laughter] handicapped hey school man we appreciate your time thank you man shout out to awesome episode man we appreciate you coming through the podcastage
