dispensationalism is a very important teaching to show that dart divisions God dealt with people differently and if you don't believe that then you're going to come up with a lot of wrong doctrine that's why there are churches that mention there are churches as I mentioned that we have the healing signs tongues and wonders today that's what they believe it so speaking in tongues and then getting healed and then seeing visions and then God speaking to you you know revelations and then able to prop you know to prophesy predict the future directly from God all of that they believe that Christians can do this today so these are all what is called as sign these are all signs that found in mark chapter 16 mark chapter 16 Jesus Christ says that the signs shall follow them in my name they shall cast out devils raise the dead heal the sick and he mentions all these different signs so these are signs so they believe that Christians can do this today but look at Exodus chapter 4 how did sign start that's how you know who is who it applies to why did God start the signs to begin with it wasn't for a Christian Church it was you can guess again it was for his physical nation of Israel Jews as a physical group of people they needed something physical as proof look at Exodus chapter 4 we're going to look at verse 1 and Moses answered and said but behold they will not believe me see they're not going to believe so what did God do verse 2 what is that in thine hand and he said a rod and then verse 3 that rod became a snake and then in verse 5 what did God say that they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers their fathers who are their fathers Abraham Isaac Jacob see that's Jewish what did God do at verse 6 and verse 7 he put his hand in his coat and then became leprous but when he put it back in the leprosy was healed what did God call that verse 8 look at verse 8 what he called it and he shall come to pass if they were not believing neither hearkened to the voice of the first sign that they will believe the voice of the latter sign so who were the signs applied to why did God start the signs to the Jews that's why that was the origin if you want to know the right thing then go to the fourth and the fourth is the Jews that X is chapter 4 now notice as we continue on what did God do at Acts chapter 28 go to acts 28 so remember the Apostles they were doing all sorts of signs right now look at the last act of the apostle that's what it means the actual actions of what the Apostles did so look at the last Acts of the Apostles chapter 8 28 28 the last chapter last thing of the acts of the Apostle here's an important note verse 27 what happened right there for the heart of this people is waxed gross and their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes have they closed lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them so notice the verse 27 these Jews are having a hard time believing but look at verse 28 what did God do so because the Jews will not believe look at verse 28 being all therefore unto you that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles and that day will hear it see it's turning to non-jews now that's why what happened at verse 29 and when he had said these words the Jews departed seized the Jews and had great reasoning among themselves what's going on right here it was always Jewish back you see so you'll notice right here that it was always Jewish back then but notice as you read the book of Acts so throughout the entire Old Testament you see the signs going but what happened during the Acts of the Apostles you'll notice if you know your story the Jews what were they doing they were rejecting it more and more one day and so what happened was that CD signed what happened is they were fading away he didn't just go out there cut it was gradually fading because God was being merciful to the Jews he was being merciful and then finally what it went to the Christians so here's the thing is that some people will say well were there christians who saw the signs and wonders and they were not Jews yes that's true but do you know why because the Jew was still present several examples is this is the easiest example all was the the apostle to non-jews yes what is he a Jew he bragged that he was a Jew of the Jews if you notice Acts chapter 10 when the non Gentiles the non gent excuse me non-jews the non-jews they received the teachings of the Apostles who are Jews what happened they received a sign and Wonder and what did the Jew say the Jew said this can't apply to them you see what was going on because there was always a Jew present there was always a Jew present that's why there were signs but it was fading more and more that's why during the acts of the Apostle you see right here he was mingling with Jews and Christians that makes a lot of sense and it also makes sense like Christians today what happened you don't have it look at first Corinthians 1 1st Corinthians 1 for the Jews require a one sign see signs goes to Jews and the Greeks see these are non-jews seek after what wisdom but we preach here's us Christians what is us if not signs the Jews requires a sign but so contrast with that we what preach Christ crucified unto the Jews a stumbling-block and unto the Greeks foolishness see what we go by is what we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ the Christians they go by saying in what was preached the Word of God that's why it makes sense the Bible says we walk by faith not by sight the Jews went by sight God says so that they can see the sign but the Christians they don't go by sight we go by faith because you got understand it the Jews they didn't have the complete word of God back then they had the signs of the evidence and during this time the Word of God was transitioning it was gradually forming but it wasn't complete until the last Apostle John died out and when he completed the Word of God we have the complete Word of God that's why our faith is on this one and not on signs not on this so you notice right here that this is important to know so we don't believe in raising dead people back to life healing the sick and then curing people of leprosy and AIDS if you honestly and really believe that then the Bible says that the book of Revelation chapter 2 that we're supposed to we have the right to take you to a hospital where there's a lot of people suffering cancer and make you heal them not have the people come to you and have it all organized and set up but that rather we test you out in Revelation chapter to raise my dead grandmother back to life if you can sorry that's why this is important dispensationalism
