brotherhood his unity and solidarity with every person that the pauline religious brother gives himself to god and publicly professed the vows of poverty chastity obedience and fidelity most closely resembles christ's personhood therefore his identity by praying serving assisting supporting caring and working the paul line deci resembles christ's activity today we gather in a very special way to praise god for the faithfulness brother alvaro nobles who is celebrating his 25th anniversary of religious consecration on june 9 1996 brother barry made his first religious profession and confirm it perpetually as appalling 23 2003 philippine macau province of the society of saint paul together with the rest of the church raise the lamp of thanksgiving for the bounty given to our brother let us brothers let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate great mysteries you were saying to heal the contrite of heart lord have mercy lord have mercy you came to call sinners christ prayers behalf of our families the father of one of our missionary priests in rome father julia navarro who is very sick and i was informed that they are bringing him home from the hospital and allowing god to take charge from here on we also pray for one of our brothers father paul octobre who will be leaving tomorrow for the united states of america for a brief missionary journey to help our saint paul society of simple community there so we pray for his safe flight to the us oh lord faithful god we pray that we may give you thanks for your kindness towards our brother alvaro who today is eager to renew the gift received from you is strengthen in him a spirit of perfect charity so that each day he may more fervently serve your glory and the work of your salvation through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy spirit one god for ever and ever amen please all be seated a reading from the book of the prophet isaiah the lord says the descendants of my people shall be renowned among the nations and their offsprings among the peoples all who see in them shall acknowledge them as the race of the lord has blessed i will rejoice block of jews and foolishness to gentiles but those who are called jews and greeks alive christ the power of god and the wisdom of god for the foolishness of god is wiser than human wisdom and the weakness of god is stronger than human strength your old calling brothers and sisters not many of you were wise by human standards not many were powerful not many were of noble birth rather god chose the foolish of the world to shame the and god chose the weak of the world to shame the strong and god chose the lowly and the spies of the world so those who count for nothing to reduce to nothing those who are something so that no human being might boast before god it is due to him that you are in christ jesus who became for us wisdom from god as well as righteousness sanctification and faint surprise father but brother barry just looked at me and with his patented impish be dimpled smile as if daring me to go ahead bring it on of course how could i not give a to his request we have been butts mates since first-year colleagues in 1990 i just got waited from the high school seminary when he completed his pre-college year from then on we were together during the novashade in san fernando pampanga and at the loyola school of theology in ateneo de manila university though he finished only the two-year theological studies after he decided to become a brother in fact we got a flat one in the class of other arrival of christology may record on but brother barry's vocation story actually started as a stroke of block he is one of the three wounded buhi boys the buhi trio paul's sm ecoland davao city he is also the current national treasurer of the federation of religious brothers in the philippines as it were brother bari humbly admits that he is sustained by god's grace and mercy just like in the second reading he is not wise by human standards nor powerful nor of noble birth but considers his calling as an unmerited gift of which he can boast in the lord oh and lest i forget among the three boys who entered st paul's seminary in 1989 own brother barry persevered he who was the salin pusa the late camera natila yata and autu salamang the most diminutive the least was courageous enough to respond to jesus's call to come and see has remained a faithful religious for the last 25 years and counting as brother barry celebrates his 25th anniversary profession he joins the psalmist in singing allah victor wood lord it is good to give you thanks for truly everything is grace except sin so congratulations brother barry my bus mate do remain a kid at heart and never grow tired of being a real life genie to the poland family and to the people you are called to serve amen on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his religious profession brother alvaro and noblessa will now renew his profession about in the presence of witnesses and all of us here present god our father gives us the grace to persevere in our resolutions let us pray to him for this servant of his who is resolved to renew his vows today in the presence of the church please all stand lord in your providence you have called this servant of yours to follow christ the master way truth and life more closely that he may persevere to the end on which he has walked we ask this through christ our lord amen visited in thanksgiving for this past 25 years of profession and in response to the love of god who has called me to follow more closely christ the master way truth and life among the society of saint paul i brother alvaro nachor noblessa in full freedom renewed the offering of myself to the father having been consecrated by him in christ through the power of the holy spirit i recommit myself to live in communion with my brothers and to be faithful to the charism of the founder dedicating myself in the church evangelization with a means of social communication trusting in mary queen of apostles and in saint paul the apostle i renew the vows of chastity poverty and obedience and fidelity to the roman conflict for all my life according to the constitution of the society of saint paul may the grace of god help me to be faithful amen as a sign of our thanksgiving to god for the gift of vocation and religious consecration of our brother give him a round of applause the perpetual members will now extend the customary fraternal embrace or jubilarian us for brother barry may he continue to serve the lord in humility and holiness through the pauline brotherhood and ministry let us pray to the lord lord graciously hear us for the new blessed family may god grant them strengths and continue to live and share the joy of family life through the power of god's grace let us pray to the lord lord graciously hear us for all the faithful departed may the lord continue to give them eternal peace and rest let us pray to the lord lord graciously hear us father look upon your family and grant our petitions may your grace be upon us always that we may humbly implore you by the same spirit graciously make holy these gifts we have brought to you for consecration that they may become the body and blood of your son our lord jesus christ at whose command we celebrate this mysteries for on the night he was betrayed he himself took bread and giving you thanks he said the blessing broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying take this all resurrection and ascension into heaven and as we look forward to his second coming we offer you thanksgiving this holy and living sacrifice and recognizing the sacrificial victim by whose death you will to reconcile us to yourself grant that we who are nourished by the body and blood of your son and filled with his holy spirit may become one body one spirit in christ may he make us an eternal offering to you so that we may obtain an inheritance with your elect especially with the most blessed virgin mary mother of god blessed joseph her spouse with your blessed apostles and glorious martials saint paul blessed timothy jacardo and blessed james alberione and with all the saints on whose constant intercession in your presence we rely for unfailing help may the sacrifice of our experiences in the apostolate in the general services to the division and marketing in this entire journey you have given the whole of yourself in diverse responsibilities in your continuous seminary of the society of singapore here in makati last year 1989 that was after i graduated in my secondary level in high school at st bridget school buhi kamarinisor my beloved hometown in bicol and then i continued and finished my college years in the seminary and after that i went to ethnicity for my theology june 9 1996 i profit in march 23 2003 i be member of the society of st paul so you can you count from 1996 to 2021 that is a total of 25 years thank you lord for the gift of religious life and thank you for the immense goodness can i say i faithfully live for 25 years of my vows in my recollection about the vows i professed the power of poverty the bow of celibacy the bow of obedience i came to know more and more about the beauty and goodness of religious life i came to understand better and appreciate more the christian faith and be helpful with their christian faith i came to appreciate and accept better the meaning of life the joy of being christian called to religious life and afterlife i chose to become religious rather than to be famous and rich i came to see and understand the real spiritual values of being christian and of being a man of faith with regards to obedience i came to fully understand that it is better to be obedient and be submissive to the higher authorities than deciding on my own in chastity i came to appreciate the values of the kingdom of god that if god calls me to religious life this is not to deprive me of the values and joys of the married life but to make me understand that the love of god is much greater than anything in this world in poverty i came to know more and more that the real world is to know god that the real values of life is not always to be materially rich to be powerful the most important thing is to know more the real values of life and the only source of our everlasting life is god our lord jesus christ our devotion to the blessed virgin mary understanding the values of the church the values of our human soul sisters we have a great values this thing for heaven so i need to [Music] sisters loved them starting from the time they existed in this world and that is the poverty of spirit now i would like to express my deepest gratitude for the first and foremost to god our father through our lord jesus christ who is the source and author of our life the source of our strength the source of our hope joy and love thank you lord forgive of my poland occasion and mission thank you for giving me life thank you for loving me in spite of my weaknesses and worthiness and sinfulness i would like
