Safe Life Defense PROTOTYPE LVL IIIA+ Test and review

hey everybody how's it going into daily shooter and first let me apologize for the audio it is extremely windy out here today now some of you might remember that about a week week and a half ago I did a test on some level 3a panels from a company called safe life defense now the level three panels performed exactly like they should I did some hollow points Full Metal Jacket plus P ammunition frangible and it stopped everything the only thing that it didn't stop was the round that we expected that it wouldn't stop which is the liberty civil defense 50-grain nine-millimeter it's a lead free projectile and it is known to penetrate level 3a armor well now they've developed a new panel that they're calling a level three eight Plus that they say should stop even the Liberty civil defense fifty grains so that's we're going to try today we have the same setup back here we have a ballistics-gel torso still has the holes in it from last time we tested the armor and we're going to go ahead we're going to put our armor plates on it we're going to take some shots with liberty civil defense and see if it can actually stop that particular cartridge okay so our level three eight plus panel is actually inside this carrier right now and remember this is a prototype so I have absolutely no idea how this is going to perform I just know what I've read on it and what they told me about it the ammunition again right here is going to be the Liberty civil defense nine-millimeter and the pistol that we're going to be using for this particular test is going to be the Glock 17 this does have a match lone-wolf match barrel on it and here we have one round loaded this is our Liberty civil defense so let's go ahead and set it up on our jail block and see how it actually performs all right so here is our entry point right there I was pretty much aiming for the center of the panel and I think that's pretty much where I wanted to hit it and you could see a pretty definitive hole in the front of the panel right here so what we're going to do now is we're just going to take this front part fold it over and see if it actually penetrated the other ones you could tell right away because there was holes extra holes in the t-shirt so let's go ahead and check it out well you know what I thought it passed through it just passed through there's a little fragment I'll try and get this lit on camera there's a little fragments that we're sitting on the t-shirt but nothing that even scratched the t-shirt right here now after double checking the t-shirt I'm absolutely positive that the first round did not go through but just to verify we're going to go ahead and shoot the same panel this time twice with the same Liberty civil-defense 50-grain ammo okay so as you can see we have a couple extra holes right here let's go ahead and open this thing up in real time so you guys can see what I'm seeing here yeah you know what a matter of fact it did even better that time so look on the back of the panel right here Liberty civil defense completely stopped altogether okay so I'm loaded up right now I have ten rounds of 124 grade nine-millimeter let's go ahead and shoot all ten rounds at the level three eight plate see if it can stop them all okay so ten rounds of 9-millimeter Full Metal Jacket plus three rounds of Liberty civil defense and nothing has gone through so I'm going to say it's an absolute win for this panel right here you can actually feel some of what everything it was before but yeah definitely a win for this this is really light stuff so for it to be able to stop that many rounds with very very little damage it's actually pretty impressive and pretty impressive panel so definitely worth checking out hopefully this prototype comes to reality okay so I just realized I never showed the front of the safe live defense vest where you could see all of the different holes I tried to kind of space everything out so that nothing landed on top of each other that way we could tell which which rounds actually went through and if the panel is weaker in certain spots we didn't have a couple land very close to where the Liberty Liberty civil defense ammo was and still no pastures so pretty impressive stuff and a really good price I'll put a link to safe life defense their website in the description box if you're interested so definitely check them out thank you for watching please like subscribe have a great day [Music]
