on sentences again potential sentence correction section pagettings exams very important for you to understand now if you look at this sentence you were romeo comma you were throwing pebbles now again these are lines from taylor swift's love story this is just an example sentence sentence sentence which happens independent clauses and there are different forms or types non-random sentences now your first type is the comma splice we actually have a dedicated video nito uh before so if you haven't seen that video yet i button if you're watching on youtube is just another form just one of those many forms no running sentences another form or type is you have the first first independent clause tapas merohan furthermore therefore tapos second independent clause another type is you independent clause tapos is a independent clause a pronoun for the same noun independent clause okay so again uh structure types in [Music] you were throwing pebbles if you see the left side that you were romeo you knew romeo is a complete national sentence you being the subject were is our be verb tapos description period independent clause sha but you know that is the right side you were throwing pebbles sentenced you were throwing pebbles so again sentence you have your independent clause before this means you have however moreover therefore meanwhile indeed then also subsequently and examples okay so it would look something like this you were romeo moreover you were throwing pebbles but again before no transitional expression after this is wrong this is a run-on sentence okay and there are ways to correct that which we'll talk about later the third form is the independent clause that's your independent clause pertaining to the same subject so again you have your independent clause plus plus your independent clause it would look something like this this love is difficult comma it's real now bakit ito okay so again it may not say now this love is now the next question would be how do we fix it you have a number of options number one you can add a conjunction you can also turn the comma into a semicolon you can turn the comma into a period to which we did not discuss this video netting on comma splices subordinating conjunction okay let's start with option one again so you have your independent clause tapos instead of coordinator independent clause coordinator like you fanboys which again is a different video then if you haven't seen that yet link inside buttons you have four and nor bot or yet or so depends on independent clause so in example that in your romeo you were throwing pebbles right here which makes it a random sentence or comma splice and you were throwing pebbles okay so pagani nyan perena maguruki sentence nathan now there's no need to capitalize this is a sentence okay just don't forget you were throwing pebbles okay now another option would be you comma nothing semicolon so your independent clause plus comma plus independent clause semicolon so example not in kanina you were romeo you were throwing is if you're watching this on youtube you lesson nothing on the semicolon that congratulations okay now next this nothing going is this instead of comma here and a comma right here or another option is to turn the comma into a period okay so independent clause comma independent clause instead of that gaga we not in song period okay but again the hell period sentence this right here should be a capital letter so you were throwing pebbles a period now for the second fix not in moreover comma you were throwing pebbles no need to capitalize this because say it online first letter no atten second sentence okay so again you have multiple options no matter now option number four is to add a subordinating conjunction okay you have your independent clause and another independent clause better than again pronoun instead of a noun instead of something now how do we do that how do we add that if you have this example right here option number four this love is difficult it's real okay even if this love so letter even if this love is difficult comma it's real okay or by dating although although this love is difficult it's real doesn't form a complete sentence saying although love is difficult it's not a sentence okay before the sentence now the best way for you to test connectedness through a quick quiz here's what we're
