Rummage Sale 1968 Ford Bronco Find Will It Run?

i just wanted to get some gravel these little vents like okay gates got it pretty bad mhm [Music] do doors away like 500 pounds i'm gonna go that dog isn't happy no bench seat that sucks [Music] [Music] so [Music] okay so when we get closer [Music] [Music] but okay now we're gonna be on that spare tire all right i'll pull up a little bit for that one let's get a big one across the back am i good straight back [Applause] procedure all right this is a 1968 ford bronco that i actually found at a rummage sale [Music] hey everyone my name is nick welcome to my channel i have a very interesting car that i ended up finding in a rummage sale believe it or not i'm gonna get into the story in just a second here but this is a 1968 ford bronco that i bought from the original owner at a rummage sale now just some key features this came with a plow that the people used to plow their land with it has a straight six motor in it with the single barrel carburetor it has four-wheel drive and it's three on the tree so to get into the story i found this at a rummage sale and i bought it from the original owner so i was cruising facebook marketplace and i was looking at the ads that you see all the time on there and i don't know how i never look at rummage sale stuff i usually just get like the vehicle recommendations or like jet skis and stuff but for some reason i got a notification i guess that said like there's new listings in some of your groups that you follow and so i clicked it and the first one that came up was this rummage sale and it said everything from a to z and then the person's address and it was a real rummage sale they were selling everything that was in the house they had another mercedes for sale and they had the bronco and just like a ton of old furniture and bottles and stuff and so i messaged a girl who was running the page and i asked if the bronco was still for sale because in the pictures obviously you saw the picture of the bronco that was kind of crooked on there and she said we still have it we're taking bids on it because she got a few messages on it or she said you can buy it for ten thousand dollars right now as it sits and so i asked her if i could come down and take a look at it this was about two hours from where i live so i brought my trailer me my dad and my brother and we brought some cash and we were just hoping right there right on the spot that we can make a deal uh we were hoping that it was still there the next day and so the next morning we loaded up we went down there and we went to check it out so as you saw there we made the deal we we came to negotiation we lucked out we got the bronco home i haven't touched it this is from the original owner they bought it brand new to use on their property to plow uh as you saw like all the um the silos and the farm and the barns that they had they had a couple other outbuildings on the property they used it to plow there it has 25 000 original miles a clean title and that's really it when the original owner did pass away his son did take possession of the bronco from what i heard he was going to redo it in 2008 there was newer plates on it he got it registered and whatnot and they said it ran in 2008 but that's really it he never really did anything else to it he left everything else obviously it's got the original paint on it and whatnot he didn't he didn't do anything to it he really registered it and from what i heard he just tried getting it going what was what was left off of it and just kind of how it said all the original plugs and whatnot in it but other than that it's sat on the same piece of property it hasn't moved they did come with a v8 ii there is no bench seat in the back for another person this is the wagon style so it should have a bench seat from what i can tell that would sit in the back but it doesn't just the bench seat in the front real quickly they did come out with a sport edition wagon i guess was an option you could get the ford logo was red it had bucket seats um it had like chrome trim around uh like the headlights and over the windshield and door jambs and stuff like that some chrome stuff and then like i said the bench seat in the back this one i was just i guess the base i mean it has the black ford logo on the front bench seat it does have a radio i guess that was an option too was a radio but this one does have the radio and then of course he had to put plow lights up there so we're gonna see if we can't get this thing to run so i do have some new parts coming for it like a starter uh starter solenoid some new spark plugs um i think i got new points spark plug wires just kind of just a really basic tune-up kit for it and we're going to try to see if we can't get it to run [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so we got our new parts installed on the bronco we had a new starter starter relay new cap rotor cap that is a rotor all new spark plugs spark plugs all been gapped new spark plug wires we have new points in there we gap the points we'll probably have to dwell the points once it gets running but for right now it should at least start up and go we got a new condenser and hopefully that should be enough to see if we can get it to go i got the jump pack hooked up on it um we got my starting fluid we're going to shoot a little bit of starting fluid in there the exhaust is completely straight piped right now so i do have ear muffs because it's going to be loud if it starts and hopefully we get some luck so fingers crossed [Music]
