[Music] [Music] inside the rogue 10 here at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison Wisconsin as we have just crowned our first three-time women's champion TIA to me doing it in style it's a fantastic way to close out that women's competition and a dominant performers from a very classy champion right and I don't think anybody can say that that was an unfair test as far as it was classic CrossFit a barbell and the setter ranked right three years we haven't found anything to really trip her up and with her being the first three-time Women's Champion are we asking the question fittest woman in history right now I'm gonna say yes it seems like an easy question to answer but what I love to see is the ferocity that Tia brought to this competition we saw it towards the end and a couple this last year but now she has the confidence to back up her fitness and that's a dangerous T Eclair to move important yeah let's take a look now at the final standings before the women is Tia to me stands atop the podium for the third time Kristin halter for the first time in her career will join to me on the podium she takes second and Jamie green wins the race between herself and Katherine Davis daughter and Jamie green stands on the podium for the first time as an individual she has been there before as a member of a team but you know this is now the part where we have to try to find new things to say about Tia to me but one of the most dominant women's performances that we have ever seen in any setting in any format at the CrossFit Games absolutely the thing that stands out to me on Sunday is the durability right we talk about how good people are at different events multiple modalities but here in the final event she just came through and wiped everyone off the face of the earth again on Sunday didn't look like anything really his face or affected her over the weekend it's just one more thing you can add to her being one of the fittest and strongest women in history anyone else want to add anything to that because it's just like I'm the kind of speaking she's great she's won three and as Dan as you said probably right now the fittest woman in history and I don't know what's gonna stop her from more than a fourth at this point right it was not just that she had these event wins but like Dan was saying it was how handily she won a lot of these events especially that last event I mean she was off those muscle-ups well before most of those other ladies ten events inside the top four she won five she was twelfth place to let that sink in the men they're gonna be up next and we've seen history made now the question is what we see history repeated as Matt Fraser looks to become the second man to ever win for CrossFit Games Championships he currently leads Noah ohlsen by 25 points if Olson who's gonna want us a plant Fraser atop the overall sandy he's gonna have to beat him by at least the three spots in the next event Grover and Carl guman Singh will try to hang on to third place overall and finish on the podium for the second time in his career and Scott panchik has never finished to finish on the podium it always seems to end up somewhere inside the top six at the CrossFit Games there is just so much at stake here all over the place here for the men and there's no room for error especially for Matt Fraser because you're talking about a 20 point difference 25 point difference between Fraser and Noah ohlsen and what Fraser came out and did in events 10 and an event 11 was exactly what he needed to do to kind of sir plant him into that first-place position going in but it's just 30 points that's first and fourth and when you look at everyone on the leader board coming in anyone in this heat I think has an opportunity to disrupt between Matt and Noah we spent a lot of time talking about Matt Fraser but we have got to give credit to Noah ohlsen he's putting together his best career performance here the prosecutors yeah it's easy to kind of maybe get down on Noah right now because he did have that leader's jersey and then he kind of dropped off the map a little bit but off the map only in the second place he's put together a phenomenal weekend so far just has not been able to quite keep up with Matt in the Coliseum fourth and fifth on those ringer events to Matt's the 2nd and 1st which dropped him down into second place he's still on the podium 50 points ahead of third so he does need to protect that spot in this next event very unlikely that he's going to be able to take over Matt Matt's in the driver's seat if Matt makes any big mistakes Noah has to capitalize finally Bureau vancouver's and sometimes we don't give him enough credit as well but here he is back for possibly another spot on the podium I agree and like you said I think at this point it's very likely that he will be on the podium because he is 83 points ahead of Scott panchik at this point and what I love about bjorgvin is he steadily increased what started as a three point lead at the beginning of today and open that up to an eighty three point lead I don't think he's he's maybe gonna catch Noah with 50 points ahead of separating him and Noah but I think he pretty much has the replace on lock same test for the men that the women faced 90 total reps chase one of the keys here as the men move through the final thing after watching the the women go you got it you got to paste the beginning maintain your momentum in the middle on the muscles because you cannot afford to have something that happened to capture David's done right there's that room for error that could be disastrous and then when you get to the end when it comes to the barbell for Isabel it's a race to the finish it singles its doubles is whatever you can get just don't screw it up when you get to the middle portion on the mus loss we are down now to the final events of this four-day competition we're gonna take a break we'll come back with events 12 for the men the standard when we return here on the rogue iron game at the Reebok CrossFit Games in Madison Wisconsin [Music] [Music] [Music] in life there are the strong will the innovators and the outliers those who turn right when everyone else turns left their passion is their compass their dreams future stories to be told it is this bold attitude that makes them legends [Music] they weren't the first and they won't be the last [Music] for the past 10 years in an average-sized American town every day American people have pushed the nuts of advertised American dream vision met with adversity every trial reassuring them that their heart was right and when the naysayers came calling you can't do that they responded not with words but actions and what started with a few people in a garage now Rises one more icon of can do a monument to American manufacturing Mike [Music] we are Ohio born American made 450 strong and growing we are rogue [Music] [Music] of the final day here at the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games we've seen history made now will we see it repeated thank you for being with us everybody as we close out the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games under many lights inside the Alliant Energy Center I'm Sean with it alongside chase Ingram the battle for the podium is on we have three men figuring out where they're gonna land Matt Fraser Knowles and and Yuri Karl granson and that's your top three coming in but in what order will they be coming out and we have this event where anything can happen where mistakes will be devastating the amount of pressure on everyone don't pretend that Matt Fraser doesn't feel pressure coming into this event the first time since 2015 that it's been the case because he has been crushing competition for the last three years and he's in a position that where he can legitimately lose a space update the event that they have coming in Matt Fraser for the past couple of years the final event has been a formality he has had the title of CrossFit Games champion wrapped up before he even took the floor for the final event James Newberry taking the floor Newberry will be getting his best career finish at the CrossFit Games he can do no worse than fifth overall his prior best finish eight teeth a fantastic performance from James Newbury he came out hot in event 10 earlier getting that win that ended up being a difference maker between Matt Fraser Noah ohlsen we're gonna see the same thing Scott panchik Scott panchik is highly capable of winning an event like this you go down the list the open Carl Goodman sin' all of these guys can take the win are they going to end up beating each other across the leaderboard Japan check if he's gonna get on the podium he's gonna have to demolish this event and then get a lot of help could maybe wind up in third he's never wound up in the podium his career then neither has know Olson he's been close he was fourth a couple years ago and that Fraser for the first time as we have been talking about all business coming into this a final event because he has nothing locked up overall standings Matt Fraser by 25 over Noah ohlsen if Olson wants to supplant Fraser atop the overall leaderboard he's got to beat him by at least three spots Jurgen Karl guman Singh can wind up in second but he has to beat Noah by six and Scott panchik has an outside shot at third 90 total reps 30 clean and jerks to start at 135 followed by muscle ups and 30 snatches to close things out Noah ohlsen is one of the best athletes in the field at ring muscles what he needs to understand is that don't try to beat him in the front half or front third of this event vile event is underway we start with 30 clean and jerks at 135 pounds Noah ohlsen and Matt Fraser will be right next to each other Fraser in the middle of the screen and the white top Noah ohlsen is in the red shorts right next to him I'm breathing a little bit of a sigh relief for Noah ohlsen that he didn't come out doing touch-and-go reps three years ago we would have seen Noah ohlsen to try to do ten unbroken all the way down the line but what he's doing is trying to stay at a comfortable pace between him and math and knowing that his advantage is going to be on the Rings Matt McLeod currently has the lead through 11 of these first 30 repetitions at the 30 clean and jerks at 135 pounds after this it's a 30 muscle-ups and as you said before that is where Noah ohlsen can make a move and that is where you cannot make a mistake you are actually almost better off doing less reps in a row and taking shorter breaks then chancing a top ring muscle up or a failed ring Muslim and that happens in the beginning of that middle part of this event it's over Matt McLeod is your leader but everybody else is within about one or two reps of McLeod including Matt Fraser and Noah ohlsen 20 reps done from a cloud of these first 30 then it's on to the ring muscle ups where they will advance after every 10 completed repetitions know what Wilson on the right looking for his first ever appearance on the CrossFit podium his best finish before this was fourth that was two years ago in 2017 Matt Fraser looking to become the second man to win for CrossFit Games Championships Fraser now in the lead through 25 of those first 30 reps CMAT phrase in the center lane watching Noah ohlsen and Noah ohlsen only seeing what rep scheme is on seeing his face what his body language is telling him and that's kind of gonna dictate the pace of what Matt does nobody else on the floor here matters except Matt Fraser and to his right Noah ohlsen Fraser to the Rings first if Olson is gonna take that white jersey from Fraser he's got to beat the three-time champ by at least three spots in this event and now Olson up on the Rings to start his set of 30 Fraser through five now six of his set of thirty muscle-ups racers doing a massive set this should be rep number 10 and now Olson takes a break Fraser's done second set of 10 for Matt Fraser I like the break by Noah ohlsen Oleg is fully capable of doing a set of ten now this middle set of ten is kind of going to tell us whether that was a good idea or bad idea for Matt Fraser I know he knows himself better than anybody he's put in the time he's put in the work he knows what he's capable of no Olson too short breaks his back up in that second place position Fraser through 43 now 44 of the 90 scored repetitions Noah ohlsen is trying to catch up with Jordan Goodson and Matt McLeod Fraser needs to be very careful about his last breath of the set he did a set of five but his judge just kind of warned is make sure you establish a full lockout before you drop off the Rings Olsen with another break goes to the chalk Fraser continues to work and he will take a break Matt started with an unbroken set of 10 did a set of five and he just did a set of three so Matt already breaking up twice in this middle set phrase are back on the Rings Olson back on the Rings Noah ohlsen is through 16 of his 30 Fraser is through 20 the Fraser will advance in the next set of rings but he goes back to get some chalk before he will do that Noah ohlsen should be finishing up a set of 20 and moving up with them Fraser just has to stay close to Olson even if the Olson beats it by one spot Fraser will hang on for the title of CrossFit Games champion Fraser to work on his final set of ten muscle-ups [Applause] Norman Jewison on the left is on his final set of ten now Noah ohlsen he gets started grazer did set a three still that last lockout of his final rep it's getting sketchy it's getting hard that you got to be careful how you finish those final reps in those sets Olson with the lead briefly before Fraser hops back on the Rings that gets him working now another break for Fraser five reps remain for Matt Fraser Noah ohlsen may not be able to catch Matt Fraser but Noah ohlsen for the first time in his career could finish on the podium here at the CrossFit Games and that would be a fantastic achievement for Noah ohlsen Fraser breaking again this is the first time Noah's broke it up in less than a set of five the Fraser is just going to keep his eye on Noah again if Olson is gonna beat Fraser in the overall standings he's got to beat him by at least three spots in this event but the athletes are there you see Goodman Singh can check hat nerd they are there it is possible and Olson has taken the lead first man to the barbell as Fraser will join him and this is the moment it's come down to he said paste the beginning keep your momentum in the middle and it's now it's time to race it's 30 status between you and a possible first place finish and look at that Fraser ripped through these reps is a big difference between the first five in the last ten razor back in the lead and here comes Noah ohlsen Matt fries are going touch-and-go again for another set of five 20 to go for Frazer Olson remains in second rumensin remains in third this looks like it's going to be your men's podium and no rep for Frazer here's the dangers like touch-and-go is it all that work just to get two reps ahead that no wrapped not a shook him of alone Olson is in second he's got to be Fraser by three if he wants to earn the title of fittest on earth Fraser with 15 to go [Applause] Olson with 15 ago [Applause] Olsen's gonna have to start doing more than single reps it's not going to be enough to try to keep pace with Matt with singles he's gonna have to start doing some touch-and-go but he also needs help she's also gonna need some other men to step on the gas here if he wants to beat that man Matt Fraser with ten to go [Applause] Olsson doing a great job hanging with a three-time champion but he is not getting the help that he needs he's got to pass him that he's got to hope that Jorvik groomers in Scott panchik all of a sudden find another gear five to go for Matt Fraser [Applause] [Music] now to for Fraser he will break [Applause] mr. Froning you have company for the 4th straight I'm Matt Fraser is the CrossFit Games champion Noah ohlsen for the first time in his career will be on the podium and Goldman guman Singh will join them God pants it will fall just short again panchik finished for two years in a row in 2012 and 2013 he's been inside the top six six times now seven if he finishes inside the top six again here one of the most consistent athletes we have ever seen to not finish on the podium that's Matt McLeod come to cross the finish line and Jacob Hefner has done as well [Applause] Saxon Padgett [Applause] James Newberry left on the floor pantings on the left the younger of the two fancy brothers competing here in the top ten James Newberry who who gave his best career finish at the CrossFit Games that Fraser had to work for this one I remember Matt saying in a wonderful documentary of a few years ago is that he hopes you bring your a-game he hopes you've been training your ass off for this event he wants to feel good about this win I think though it was his toughest win to date but the race that he had to run all weekend this has to be his most proud win at the CrossFit Games for the first time in the last three years he didn't have it wrapped up going into the final that James Newberry is the last man on the floor and once he crosses the finish line D 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games will be done and James Newberry will have his best career finish here [Applause] no Olson and Jacob Heppner Heppner out there cheering him on final rep for James Newberry and final rep of the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games [Applause] champion my crazy [Music] his career started with two straight second-place finishes since then nothing but gold medals for Matt Fraser as he is now the second man in CrossFit Games history to win this competition four straight times and give credit to Noah ohlsen and left in low out on the floor to try and catch that man and Noah ohlsen for the first time in his career will be on the podium at the CrossFit Games Matt Fraser from start to finish got the race he has been asking for for the last three years Noah ohlsen never backed down Fraser had to push it to a pace that he has never gone before just to stay at reps ahead not to dominate no the state mere reps ahead but he did it and that shows you the testament that Matt Fraser is as competitor as an athlete and is one of the greatest men to ever grace the competition floor at the CrossFit Games four-time champ Matt Fraser nations this was one of the closest points races we've seen from you in a little bit to get there I mean how did that affect you this week I didn't like it no it was what it was you know gave me a little extra motivation to go harder and try to get some more event wins rack up those points we've seen so many accomplishments from you throughout your entire career in this sport in other sports as well I mean what's still on your goals list considering everything you've been capable of oh no I'm just trying to have a good time this is about it better than a desk job so my mom would keep doing this you got a ton of fans here I know I could see you kind of searching a crowd for your your crew your friends or family what does their support mean for you I mean I wouldn't be here without them you know they take everything off my plate so I can wake up and train eight hours a day and think about nothing else and so between my manager O'Keefe and my sweet house Amy there's not too much I have to do other than just think about training competing and winning congratulations thank you [Applause] Matt Fraser and Noah ohlsen congratulating each other on a hard-fought battle as Noah ohlsen I had the white leaders Jersey for a while that Fraser was able to wrestle it away from him earlier today and for the fourth straight time Matt Fraser is a CrossFit Games champion [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Adri moonflower he was going to get his best career finish at the CrossFit Games as he finishes inside the top ten is Matt Fraser celebrates fiancee Sammy Jacob Heppner he's gonna take sixth James Newberry is fifth Scott panchik fourth for the third time in his career and you wonder what the cross against landscape would look like on the men's side if there wasn't someone named rich Froning and Matt Fraser and then you look at what Scott panchik has done over a length of his career in eight of the nine last individual champion just have been won by those two men and Ben Smith's the only guy that gets sandwiched in between the two of them as he went in 2015 if the Scott Pattison just another near miss so now I think the fans really want to see that guy wind up on the podium Norberg Carl rumensin back on the podium as he finishes in third I ain't can't be setting up how good the organ Carl good mission is to podium again won a fluke the last time we didn't talk about it last time Villa Olson in 2012 told Dave Castro but he was a volunteer to regional competition I'm going to be at the CrossFit Games one day seven years later Noah ohlsen is on the podium at the cross of games in second place and that's good to see he earned that and of course finally the four-time champion Matt Fraser [Applause] four days of competition are in the books and on the women's side we've seen history made and on the men's side we have now seen a history repeated final results Matt Fraser with 984 points Noah Wilson 35 back at him he sits in second place and bjorgvin guman Singh finish in third Scott panchik his third fourth place finish of his career in James Newberry takes fill his career best finish at the CrossFit Games and James Newberry may have more in the tank looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish now in the future it took longer than we thought in this competition but Matt Fraser as is always the case is just inevitable and he winds up on top of the overall leaderboard four days of competition now in the books it's been a fantastic time here in Madison Wisconsin at the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games stay with us we'll come back to wrap up the team and the individuals competition next on the road tire game
