Rog Ally Z1 Extreme Alan Wake II Performance Analysis 2024 | LukeFZ FSR 3 Frame Generation Mod Setup

welcome back guys so in this video I'll be testing one of the best games released in 2023 that is len part two on my R Ali I have the Z One extreme variant of this device this game is a true Next Generation title it is very demanding on the GPU forget about running this game with the 15 wats profile on R all we need to unleash the full power of ryzen set 1 extreme processor in order to maintain 30 FPS in some of the most demanding areas of this game so I'll straight away run the game using a 30 wats manual profile won't be using the 30 W turbo profile as it is going to increase the temperatures quickly 85 to 90° C these temperatures are not safe for your SD card can fry head I will also show you how to install the paid FSR 3 frame generation mod by luk FC already explained its functioning and setup process in another video I'll drop its Link in the description we'll demonstrate its effect on the game's performance image quality and input response my Ali is running on posos boost disabled not using rsr 29 WS manual profile in this profile I have set all three power values at 30 W still it shows 29 wats charger is plugged in using a custom After Burner overlay to show you the performance metrics as I have set the um buffer size to Auto vam usage count shown here won't be accurate adrenaline software from here I have enable radian antiag and VN that's it in game settings FSR 2 enabled using the performance preset this is the actual base resolution 640 by 360 pixels in game Ving disabled just scroll down have disabled all of the effects everything set to the lowest preset I'll straight away load the Forest Area very demanding due to the thick foilage and the bad weather let's start the game game Lo up there a character Saga Anderson FBI other areas in this game are not as demanding as this one observe the FPS counter we are getting 30 FPS Apu power draw is around 29 wats when I enable the frame generation mod it will try to double this FPS count I need to head to the General Store I'm looking for nighting GS h on the correct path so T what was that 28 to 34 FPS we hting the GPU bottleneck Right light it's a safe Zone check out the image quality here not observing blurriness textures do appear to be a bit fuzzy when I quickly move the camera what happened here controller profile got switched okay by mistake I pressed the key on my keyboard my enable it otherwise the game will crash on Ro La I'll set FSR to balance now I'll be honest guys this game is actually playable on Raw Al even without the FSR 3 frame generation mod temperatures are under control you can even use the 25 WS manual profile but then you'll be getting 2 to 3 FPS less than the 30 watch profile it's a bit dark in here there's the pay phone attend the call 45 to 50 FPS on the folder icon here this is the games install directory paste the files here now this game uses FSR version 2.2 need to copy the mod's ASI file corresponding to it there's the ASI file copy paste it in the games install directory where you pasted the previous files right here now we need to delete one file before launching the game click on this PC open C drive then open users folder then open the folder corresponding to your PC's name here make sure hidden item setting is checked click on view go to show hidden items check open app data folder open local folder look for remedy folder here there it is open it open alen 2 folder you need to delete render file do not worry it's not going to break your game it will be created again when you launch the game the best part of luk FC's mod is that it works on all of the gpus and Intel Nvidia and AMD launched G new window will pop up like this it will show you some locks this means the mod is working graphic setting you can see dlss frame generation setting got unlocked and we have access to dlss upscaler even on ra that has an AMD based igpu so just enable frame generation select dlss I'll be using the balance preset I don't like using motion BL and film G entirely up to you these are just effects everything set to L we'll be loading the same areas yeah there's Saga and you can see we getting around 90 FPS but this is an indoor area and just observe the ghosting around the character model saga's jacket is vibrating I'll quickly show you how to fix this issue exit the game go back to the directory where you deleted the render file it will be present there again just open it here look for mcore B lens Distortion need to change its value from True to false click on file click on Save close it launch the game fix has been applied you don't even need to disable after bur overlay radian anti-ag is still working show you the input response we are in the ghosting issue has been fixed games interface is also not flickering and you can see the input response FPS here is around 90 let's just go outside FPS will drop here you go getting around 5 2 to 57 FPS not bad oh my God it's so dark adjust the exposure I'll head to the General Store I hope I'm not lost store I need to check it out yeah this is the correct part there's the light source rightly lit areas in this game are the safe zones I can definitely observe the smoothness better visibility here I think the image quality has also improved with the mod I using the quality preset and that's why waiting for the bad [Music] guy excellent performance really impressed with this mod now I load the city area I have set the resolution to 900p the LSS set to Quality this is the base resolution 1066 by 600 pixels just scroll down everything set to medium low for these two settings as medium preset was not available that's it as somehow I knew the call was for me here FPS is around 65 70 oh the game looks so stunning it's looking sharp take the call Skip the cut scene hello explore the area head said Caldera Street Station I had to go there with these settings FPS is staying close to 60 even in the forest area you can try increasing the settings just make sure FPS with frame generation on does not drop below 50 Street station sign was there but the entrance was missing I had to make it appear maybe I could use the lamp to reveal the
