No joke some motovloggers live for road rage. So damn frustrating.
I have had a few times where a driver put my life at risk and the combo of adrenaline and poor impulse control in my 20s had me about to do stupid shit.
Ive mellowed with age.
I've got over 50k miles in two years, and have never had anything remotely close to a road rage incident. I'll never understand how some riders have altercations almost every time they ride..
If you're super interested diving a little deeper into some of the psychology concepts in this video โ
There's a blog (now it's a book and a podcast) called "You Are Not So Smart," which was mainly about misconceptions of psychology. One of the articles that really stuck with me was about the idea of venting as a good way to blow off some steam and sort of relieve the pressure of anger. tldr, it's bunk; it turns out that acting in anger feels good, releases endorphins, and can become a self-reinforcing behavior (https://youarenotsosmart.com/2010/08/11/catharsis/).
There's also an article about the ways we tribe up and dehumanize people we don't consider "us" โ eg, bikers vs cagers (https://youarenotsosmart.com/2011/08/21/the-illusion-of-asymmetric-insight/).
Because they're childish assholes with impulse control issues?

Damn, I was an impressionable new rider who watched a lot of moto vlogs when I started.
I thought it was up to me to escalate with every car that didnt see me because after all "you could have killed me!". I cringe so hard when I look back at that phase, thankfully it was shortlived.
Many times now Ive had a car that didnt look and I anticipate and take evasive action, then ride off never to think of them again. Imagine how terrible riding would be if you lost your shit at every car that made an error every other day. Motovloggers are a cancer and I hope every beginner realizes that.
Another great video from fortnine.
I watched it, and then I watched new episode of "STUPID, ANDGRY, CRAZY BIKERS VS. PEOPLE"
Can someone ID his jacket with all the zippers for me? and what is the electronic looking box thing on his shoulder?
