gotta brake some bear we're gonna do rear axles we're gonna finish the rear suspension put the drive shaft in we're gonna take the nose off so we can take the headers out wrap them and then put the nose back on kind of line it up because the body gaps here are horrendous okay 17 miles here and nothing right [Music] that's about normal for an old chevy right um yeah it could be usually the doors around but these doors look really good the doors are still good because we never yeah you want to take the fenders off first makes it easier to get everything so i do i want to take the fenders off sorry okay okay i see what they did there look at the front look the front came with the brand new fresh spindles it's like a 15-inch rotor they're nice it looks nice it's got billet hat even the dust shields billet damn we're men we don't need instructions we're going to do it wrong 72 times and then read the instructions and then watch youtube yes and then get it wrong four more times then we'll read the instructions we are men those are fancy these are very big there you go set that up there it is right oh wait a minute i got any master check this master out though right it came with a proportion about bill it wow that's nice dude i've never seen a billet master so long ago now we both have now we have my life is complete [Music] all right so john's in the front over there so i'm going to continue with the back we just unpacked all of our bear brakes and they made this kit for us which is super cool because it has a parking brake so what this is is there's a drum brake inside right so it locks up against here like that that's the parking brake and then this is the brake caliper it's a six piston they powder coated for us and they put the little gold in there for the extra bling look at that so i'm gonna do that in the back i gotta put this backing plate in set the axle in put the wheel on put all this stuff on and then kind of set the ride height just by the way the tire sits and then alex could finish off making the um panhard bar the front is done i don't have to date i don't there's no disassembling there's no assembly nothing it just comes together fresh spindle you put your ball joints and you put your steering lower ball joint upper ball joint done no assembly they do everything for you pretty neat little package that's not how you do it you're a professional dude who the hell told you this so this goes over like so and now i'm going to show you super cool they machined the back of it you see that that holds the bearing in place done all right there we go [Music] brake pad time so we got the hawk performance street pads they make less dust because i don't like cleaning wheels and i know we're getting some sort of mesh wheel so less dust is good right they're quieter than the normal pads they're less dust they also stop better because the compound is a little softer and they don't eat into the rotors so all in all less noise less dust more grip and it doesn't destroy a rotor [Applause] when you're installing calipers that's the bleeder screw make sure the bleeder screw always points up because if it points down you're never going to be able to bleed it on [Applause] done yeah so it's thermotech heat barrier we're going to put it against the firewall because yes this is going to generate a lot of heat and the plan is to have something that's comfortable inside so using this to help stop the heat from coming from the engine compartment into the passing department is probably going to be really important i don't know drilling [Music] so [Music] i don't know yeah they make it super easy they do make it super easy right it's two castle nuts you hook up you bring down or you bring up the lower control arm and done and if you actually had lines right set up you could just hook up the line and bleed it super easy that's nice all right so i'm gonna be welding the brackets for on the chassis side for the panhard bar are right up here yeah a little hard to capture it but right up here where it's lit up kind of clean up the paint and all the rubberized undercoating and everything that's on there so we can get a nice solid weld all right all right [Music] driveshaft time drive shaft time i measured it perfect i knew it they measured it today they measured it ah look at it it looks like a car we got a drive shaft looks good though yeah it looks good looks nice the last thing we got to figure out is the pitman armor the thing about the pitman arm is that it's actually chamfered so all you need to do is just make sure it sticks out a little bit i mean it really doesn't give a if it's as long as it sticks out a little bit and we could you know i mean even if you put yeah yeah yeah i got that i'm just saying well first we should probably actually see if this is actually the right one i'm going to agree with you it's funny because we threw it out the original stuff we threw out the original stuff why why would you never throw away any original stuff until you're done done steering box everything is wet with it [Music] i don't think so these are the right size it's weird that the castle must have broke what's in here we'll put regular ones down and i'll order up some cats okay you got one [Music] so if we do get this to work we're still going to have to what yeah does not fit i come in no feeling though so on today's episode we add things and we take things away yeah we took the headers off and we don't have you put the brakes on we don't have any wheels we took off the steering we have nothing to put back on we have nothing to put back on but we yes yes but we did manage to get this beautiful heat barrier on the firewall you see this beautiful beautiful beautiful clark let me we just grind the bottom of the it will itself it will self clear it will clear itself so we just need a pitman on or you just keep grinding yeah and just take your delicate time making it perfect we need a pitman arm jolly better get back over here to get the real solid today was a good day it was a good day we got everything done before lunch three days later i didn't say what day lunch right alex yeah it was great we have steering we have brakes we have a completed rear end with axles we have drive shaft and then we have the mounts already made up for the pit oh look at that alex put the of course wow we have panhard bar sustains a lot of work guys i think we did it we are definitely the a team sick we're the a minus team we are definitely the eight we got a lot more work done than
