Rick's kids lock the keys in the car

so I go to the truck and when I turn to the truck the boys have gotten out of the truck my wife has just left the parking lot in her car and that storm rolling thunder storm rolling in and a nice one and a good one too and and you know that you know to me lightning is not as brilliant when you're out in an open area possibly struck by so you know that was bad it's not as much fun to watch you don't scare you don't yep so anyway so I turn around my boys are out of the truck and they've locked my keys in the truck now first of all and I don't know why I do this and so I try to call my wife her to turn around and save us straight to voicemail hey this sherry and there's a certain part about it that starts to kind of drive you nuts because they sound so happy on their mess yeah yeah that's on the message they don't realize you're stuck in the middle in the middle of open parking lot right so anyway yo that was y'all back that was that need to have a message back I'll dial back six why don't you just like you don't change just so I have documentation and I don't do I don't do you got to leave a voice makers hey hey I don't have any no voicemails I'll start leaving I'm on the side of the highway bleeding today right and I need your blood we only have five minutes or I'm a goner look here's I'm not gonna make it here's the one that gets me and it's you don't have to be Steve Jobs to know if it's going straight to voicemail Rick it's not on stop calling it it's not on you're thinking just maybe she turn right on so they get and then I do this crazy thing where it's impossible for her to be home I'm calling the home phone Rick there's no way she's there there's why Ella why are you doing it she's at that red light you can see you're gonna mean why are you calling home and she says that red light Rick you idiot she's not home but there's some reason you got to start trying yeah you wish your line King you could roar and wake up all the animals to run in from her so I'm doing Tarzan yells you know we think about calling OnStar even though she doesn't have a DMV yeah that's right yeah and I keep saying about those commercials right now all I did well I can't do chicas can get the car right but anyway so but they would know my keys are in there because that's what but anyways so up and then I love these ridiculous thoughts what if I started running toward that red line you do it is can I get to her car doing this and you know and then you realize Rick you know what where you're standing the way it looks that's hundreds of yards you're mean not just a little let's a half-a-mile almost loans that shot ourselves so and then let's not forget this part now I've got to try to deal with the boys and I need to worry about our safety but there's no way I can ignore the fact that I can't believe what y'all have done okay and there's just enough people still scattering to their cars and this is when you know you eat your kids up when these people start locking their doors you know II mean I must really be going you know and so you know and of course is a god-fearing Christian dad I just took I just took myself right off the cross you know the mean and and I didn't I mean the cross was so far away from at one point you know and then at some point I Vinci nailed myself back up there with Jesus but but but but at one point I had to know what were you thinking I don't I don't want my dad you should do that to me and I didn't like it why am i doing it because if I deal what I was thinking that I wouldn't have done it right you know and I said guys we where you went I said let me talk to you this I know you're 11 and I know what you talked in Rick I'll get that spare key that I always put up under the extra tire right so this will never happen oh wait I didn't do no wait am I don't have it so look then I always wanted to do that yeah it's a great idea but then I said this I don't know why I did I said I even with this faucet I understand you're 11 and 9 they're your thunderstorms coming we'll get to that listen it's light on your shoulder I need to know so in your little minds you thought there was a scenario that I would take a duffel bag with gear in it and just decide to walk off and abandon my truck with my kids in it did you think I would just do that did you think I would just walk away and go well good luck to him maybe they can drive the truck home you don't yeah yes gonna play by the way if I do that I might get no where am I going you know him a dad I decide I'd walk home tonight and leave my kids in the car wondering where I am we couldn't see you that's the son if you if you I thought if I did behind me like this I would have hit the front of the truck and I said well we can see we started thinking to myself I Rick you got a you've got to stop addressing your sons right okay they're 11 and 9 if they knew why they did it you wouldn't be in the parking lot with keys like they don't know why they did it they're just goofy little kids ok goofy little kids do you everything but you needed to make that mark so they would remember right and and and so so I said I said guys you know we I can't believe that that's just that's just so goofy how can you be so goofy and then you go well Kay you and then all sudden then the youngsters I'm so stupid and you okay when I love going through now that one's going to come back to home you don't and I like and then I didn't what my dad used to describe me crazy no you're not that's what makes me so mad about it you know and I know okay there's nobody else you don't want to be stupid alright my stupid which way timeout and and so in their course lecture course Big Love wastes no time going how didn't do it you know I'm like yet nothing to do with it Otto Brodie dr. levy Q then I believe the keys in the truck but take them with him so so so now nobody driving now everybody's getting real afraid can I said yeah yeah you know what you know what guys it is bad I said I hate that we're gonna have to learn our lesson about about the truck in a thunderstorm I hate that all right everybody get down on your hands and knees and crawling yeah and so we the back side there's a fender back yes so and then this this is what I love now I've been out there so long because it's about 15-20 minutes to our house now they're cutting off all the lights Oh anyway cut up all the lights what happen to us I said I guess we'll be in the dark and then except when is life and you're real happy he's standing with the cell realm trying to revalue while I keep hearing that happy man so finally I say to them safest places the truck still and I made my kids crouched by the tires I'm adding know what else to do under the tree get over by the rubber and crouched down by the tires about this one yes right over by the tires I said now we could all be in the car but y'all block the keys in it oh no you're not stupid I know I called you stupid letter not cogent idiot cuz I don't want that to come back to haunt me when you're some weird person alright so so anyway um so finally I didn't mean it yeah finally I do with every red blue is a stupid thing that you write that's it thank you Bob so I finally do what every member the Rickenbacker staff does when you're in this situation you call super bones so I called the great bones the truck driver hey hey buddy but you bury what you he said you must be on my mind I said that's probably the Holy Spirit telling you I'm in a thunderstorm locked out of my truck so anyway Anna and he says all right I'm on it so he ends up finding the great Jeff from ABC towing cousin bond said you know getting keys out wasn't really his specialty and I want to thank Jeff from ABC towing works with triple-a he was out there in 15 minutes after I got a hold of Justin wears glasses uh now I hit wear glasses we must had surgery yeah and a lot but you know it's kind of neat like I mean it took him literally minutes minutes to get them out but you found him but couldn't find you on yeah because first of all the police listen but you can see we've got a tow truck there but couldn't get you and all I can think and all I can think about is I haven't spent 14 years and had children with Jim not I mean so it's so so anyway anyway um I found out the Hoover police it was in Hoover Alabama that the the if it's beyond 1993 they can't help you so I'm in a new film no three and below the outfit 93 acid my gosh how many people still me Joe sale Adler's only person in Drive a 93 year lower but anyway so um so then he said the new ones are tough but they took a little thing that was really cool but they made the door come out and he winter near knee got so finally finally at home my wife answers hey um hey babe how wet are you I said I said I sure do hate for you have to get back in that car and come back because I'm waiting on Jeff to get there at this time I don't know how long it's gonna be I see you need to come back and get the boys and what happened now I told the story so she turns around I said you know I know I don't want brie I can't help but wonder about that cell phone hey ah just briefly discuss it could I just get a three headed college here yeah I know it ain't gonna change anything at this point there's I can't it's I know how could be my fault oh yeah yeah I said by the way I want to apologize for you for me having your phone cut off your domain and she said she said all the batteries that I had in charge yeah and I said well boy I tell you know what this situation right here is where cell phone 14 is one you know at my point then I wonder what conversations took place to run the battery down that was lesson right right now that's how I always go I told her this I got property Georgia I taught her this I say had a breakthrough it's a 12-volt device yeah I said for the lack of charge hazing once you know I kind of like Tyler on that charge ever not Fargo too bad but because of the lack of charging your boys are crying I've traumatized them I said the the a there's no tell if we don't get her completely ruined like that I said and so and somewhere because the technology you had you access to Steve Jobs described so great traumatizing not the old ballpark don't you wish that you wives could set a voicemail when they when it's you and you know you keep calling back and it's just not so happy hey I know I don't have it with me sorry come I wish I wish they had a message man I can't believe I didn't turn this phone them you know one of those that went
