[Music] no we're good although I will say y'all could have stayed on that holy thing and bowed down for another couple hours that was the word of the Lord that was the word of the Lord that was the word of the Lord he's holy he's holy he's holy thank you for loving us so well this thing is heart to us tonight thank you thank you okay you can go ahead and have a seat well I have a couple of things and then we're gonna jump right into the word I feel a stirring in my heart over the word I have two Parts I want to bring tonight and sometime tomorrow whenever that is and but Before we jump in the first thing I want to do is introduce you to my son this is my youngest of three boys blessed is the man who has many sons he will contend with the enemy and the gate there are my dearest friends they're not only my sons they're my brothers I'm gonna be with him forever and I can't wait for the next 40 50 years however long the Lord gives me to contend for the kingdom with them this is my namesake son Joshua Alan hood he's dear to me he just comforts my heart all the time he's my son that I can go to and go you know what I'm lonely right now you need to sit with me it's dangerous right now for me to be alone I need you to just sit with me and comfort me and he does like a loyal son you know loyalty's a big attribute right character Trey he's a loyal son loyal just love him to death but the reason why bringing him up here not just to showcase him because he is Kew even with long hair but I'm going to entrust him to you guys in the city he's coming to college here at Grand Canyon University in August [Music] some of his some of his friends from high school already at in their gauge and Malakai are sitting right there and then and then Annika go ahead and stand up this gorgeous girl right here is probably 90% of the reason why he's coming here if not 99.9 percent of the reason how many of you grateful for godly girls that draw you closer to Jesus I got one myself but Annika is precious and we're glad that she's here tonight but I wanted to introduce you to him because I want you to pray for him while he's here that that very spirit that operates in this place would get all over him and just get all over him everywhere so I might have him pray for me in a minute but the other thing is is you know I I feel so I forgot to bring my book last night wasn't even out there but I just wrote a chapter in it this is from a revival series that's why I brought it and so Bill Johnson wrote the foreword there's chapters from chiyan Heidi Baker Stacey Campbell dick Eastman James goal Cindy Jacobs and so I wrote one in here at chapter and here they asked me they said you can't write a series on revival without talking about integrity how many of you know that when Jesus was in the middle of the galilean revival he didn't preach on revival he preached the Sermon on the Mount because in the midst of revival the heart is tender enough to actually become what God has invited us to become and so Jesus took advantage of that three and a half year window that when the heart was softened by the immediate presence and glory of God he preached the Sermon on the Mount which is about character has the virtues of the kingdom and so when God opens a window of revival one of the major errors in revival history has been to just preach on revival and not take advantage of the soften heart to change that's why I love pastor Paul he got up here and said you know what I love about revival is the product of revival which are transformed lives I told him that last year I've fell in love with him deeply last year when he said that not fall in love with him again but so integrity I'm just give this one away whoever come get see can have it [Applause] man he's fast anyway well go ahead Joshua pray for us and we're gonna we're gonna jump in holy sphere we invite you here thank you so much for your love Lord and your mercy I thought you would come and you would rest your presence on us today that we would feel your glory hasta we would have ears to hear as my father preaches Lord ask for comfort and grace tonight on my dad that he would feel your presence as he gives the word I say you would come and you would touch us tonight Lord that we would see your mercy and we would see your love tonight and we would feel your peace and your comfort and the name of Jesus amen [Applause] well we're gonna jump in the word right away if you have your Bibles and you should open them up to Hosea chapter 10 verse 12 hosea chapter 10 verse 12 I felt pressed by the Lord to speak this particular weekend on preparing for historic revival preparing for historic revival I'm so grateful for all the wells of initial revival that God is bringing forth in the nation's where he's touching a remnant a group of people with his spirit and awakening them they become a womb for the birthing of a historic revival historic revival right now Jesus is reigning over the nations at the right hand of the Father he is the king of kings and Lord of lords he's not becoming the king of kings he is right now he's been given a name over every other name he's been given all authority in heaven and on earth he is the captain he is the lord of hosts he has is the fullness of deity and bodily form and he is reigning right now at the right hand of the Father and the father is subdue II in amis underneath his feet that's true and yet there's another truth which is his reign is not visible yet and the very kings that he is the king over do not know he's ruling he's raining right now tonight he's reigning we sung of it he's on his he's raining Opower all authority all Dominion all blessing all honor is his tonight now and yet Phoenix Arizona the United States the nations of the earth it is not confirmed in the visible realm that he's reigning and yet there are extraordinary seasons when God lets a geographic region know without a shadow of a doubt he's reigning most of what we call normal time time Under the Sun as Solomon says it is ordinary time it's the time when the nations don't know yet he's reigning and God and his patience and in his kindness his giving the nations time to repent and turn to Him there's a season of amnesty right now where the King on his throne is allowing individuals to turn to Him and receive salvation if they will believe in what he's done for them on the cross and at the resurrection and if they will believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that he is the Lord and that he was raised from the dead they shall be what saved [Applause] there's the season of the amnesty now there's a day coming when he will split the sky and there will be no more faith but sight [Applause] salvations by faith there's a small window of time of amnesty a forgiveness that if you will believe by faith your sub you should we say but there's coming today when faith will pass and give way to sight the problem is when it does there'll be no more amnesty but God in his kindness releases extraordinary times in human history when God pulls back the veil and invades a space a region a state a nation and puts everybody will notice my son his King to both believer and unbeliever like God invaded a space in Kentucky at King Ridge and to this day over a hundred years later you cannot buy alcohol in many counties in Kentucky think about that alcoholism was at a seventy five percent rate men were beating their wives and God's spirit broke out the glory of God would break out in fact one preacher was preaching they didn't have microphones so they cut down this huge place in a field and they cut trees down about half way so that you could see but they left them half way so you could hold on with the glory of God broke out hold on to the tree but they didn't have microphones so 15 to 20 preachers would be set up around the field as 25,000 people in what was the western frontier and Appalachians gathered to listen to the preachers one man who was drunk came and grabbed his wife off the front row grabbed her by the hair and began to drag her back down the center aisle but he didn't want her in that revival meeting and as he began to drag down that aisle the preacher stepped off the pulpit grabbed him threw him on the ground and said everybody pray and as they prayed the spirit of conviction came upon him shook him on the ground till he repented he got radically saved and the preacher walked him both back to the front row sat them down and then walked back up began preaching again God move was such power against alcoholism that to this day the residue has several counties that will not sell alcohol to you in 2020 that's when God touches down and he puts that region on notice my son reigns to believer and unbeliever alike Charles Finney stopped in one town on a train for fifteen minutes he did not even get off and the Holy Spirit fell on that town and the sin industry was shut down as they flooded out of bars and horse gambling at the time horse tracks and began to repeat how shall we be saved and the glory of God struck that city in 15 minutes and to this day there's a Christian college that sending missionaries to the nations there are extraordinary seasons when God comes and removes doubt as a sign that he's coming he's coming and God in these extraordinary times visits and the residue of that visit lasts for hundreds of years do you know in Wales they're still singing in choirs as a result of that one touchdown when God comes when God comes when God comes revival seasons are divine seasons where God puts a geographic region on notice of the reality of the Sun of God's present rule and reign over the nation's Arthur Wallace and his classic work on revival my favorite I read it before I came again it's a yearly read I would encourage you in the day of thy power he was part of the Hebrides revival and in the day of the day of thy power Arthur Wallace says revival is divine intervention in the normal course of spiritual things it is God revealing himself to man and awful holiness an irresistible power it is such a manifest working of God that human personalities are overshadowed human programs abandoned it is man retiring into the background because God has taken the field it is the Lord making bare his holy arm and working an extraordinary power on saint and sinner alike revival is when the manifest presence of Jesus invades our space bringing transformation in life my dear friend Wes Adams was given his whole life he's paralyzed from the neck down and he's given his whole life in intercession for the last 4050 years as a paralytic to pray in revival he wrote a book he has his doctorate PhD can you imagine that auto accident paralyzed from the neck down doesn't miss a beat he keeps contending he won't die they said he should have died 30 years ago he won't die he just keeps praying in his book the fire of God's presence he defines revival this way this is revival from heaven when men in the streets are afraid to speak godless words for fear that God's judgment will fall when sinners aware of the fire of God's presence tremble in the streets and cry out for mercy when without human advertising the Holy Spirit sweeps across cities and towns and supernatural power and holds people in the grip of terrifying conviction when every store becomes a pulpit every heart and altar every home a sanctuary and people walk carefully before God this is revival Charles Finney in the Second Great Awakening stated that revival was necessary because nothing else will wipe away the reproach which covers the church and nothing else will restore Christian love and confidence among believers he stated that only a move of God will avert the judgments of God from the church and preserve her from annihilation and he listed in his revival lecture seven signs that point to the need for revival can I read those seven and see what you think he said number one when there is want a brotherly love and Christian confidence among supposed believers number two when there are dissensions and jealousies and evil speaking amongst opposed believers number three when there is worldly spirit in the church number four when the church finds its members falling into gross and scandalous sins 5 when there's the spirit of controversy in the church or the land or 6 when the wicked triumph over the church and reviled em 7 when sinners careless and stupid about sinking into hell beloved today tonight I want to talk to you about preparing for historic revival preparing preparing as I travel around the church in the US in the world I'm vitally aware that there is a speaking on revival going on everywhere the casting vision for revival speaking of the great need for revival talking about historic revivals or Christian hot spots on the earth there's a lot of talk about revival a lot of teaching on revival and yet I fit here very few sermons today on the conditions that must be met for revival to come beloved it's not enough to preach on revival teach on historic revival cast a vision for revival that's not enough how do we prepare for revival how do we create an atmosphere that's conducive and that agrees with the scripture and church history for God to come my fear is today that God has brought forth many wombs where he's touched enough of his Spirit down to get a remnant to contend for something but they have not come into agreement with the preparation necessary to give it birth there's many still births many abortions many miscarriages because they got touched by the spirit to become a wound but they thought that was it they were touched by the spirit to get pregnant to escort us into revival but they stopped short the church is littered with them I don't know how many I have videos at my home of supposing revival but they just got a touch and they became a womb and then they didn't cooperate with the full birth but the Lord is speaking he wants us to prepare it's interesting when we talk about revival because revival requires more than our omitted need more than a casting of vision we must come into alignment with the Holy Spirit to prepare for the visitation of the Lord now it's interesting when we talk about revival the church slips into this weird view of sovereignty it's just going to come when it comes it's going to come when it comes we tried that thing I guess it's just not the time of the Lord you know we we pray for a little bit we gave ourselves two presents worship we went to discipleship but you know it's in God's hands try that one when your marriage will you children don't take her out don't respond gobbley just do what you do and let God work it out Ivan mines me of the old farmer this old farmer cultivated the most beautiful gardens in his property and the guy walked up said my goodness look what God has done with this property for you the farmer looked at me said I know what you mean but you should have seen it when just God had it you see you can't provide the rain you can't cause the growth you can't bring forth the harvest but you better get your hands dirty in that soil that farmers hands had bled from breaking up that hard ground tilling that soil making the conditions right so that God could do his part you say you can't do God's part but he won't do yours he's the God who wants partnership with his people he wants partnership and we we we labor we partner in so many areas of the Christian life but when we talk about revival oh that's that's sovereign and it is but it's not only sovereign there's a preparation that God requires and my premise is that there's a preparation that we have to enter into for God to bring forth a mighty move of the Spirit that transcends our building and floods a geographic region when Phoenix is put on notice when the mayor has to come to terms with the fear of the Lord when the governor has to tremble before the Almighty that's historic revival [Applause] what Hosea chapter 10 verse 12 when you study revival history there's a handful of verses that God has used throughout church history to help escort in revival there's a handful Isaiah 40 43 for our pool water on him who is thirsty floods on the dry ground I will pour out my spirit on your descendants and blessing on your offspring how about a backache three - we've heard of your fame we stand in awe of your deeds renew them in our day Oh God right or Joel chapter 2 verse 12 rend your heart and not your garment right or acts 2:17 it shall come to pass in the last days says God that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh and your sons and daughters shall prophesy right and everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be say there are a handful of verses or second chronicles 7:14 if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways I will hear from heaven I will forgive their sin and I will what heal their land well Hosea 10 verse 12 makes the top 10 list of revival scriptures and the reason why it does is it gives us the clear roadmap for how to prepare for the coming of the Lord of how to partner with the spirit and receiving an outpouring of the Lord's presence now let's look at it verse 12 so for yourselves righteousness reap in mercy break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord till he comes and reigns righteousness on you let's read that again so for yourselves righteousness reap in mercy break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord till he comes and reigns righteousness upon you father we thank you for your word we asked you to send Holy Spirit he is the teacher we are the students we want to learn from him in Jesus Holy Name now we're gonna see here you know Hosea the prophet whom the LORD commanded to marry Gomer the prostitute who would not only be a prostitute he would marry her and she would have children of harlotry which means this she not only was a harlot she had children of harlotry which means that after he married her her three children that she bore all looked like Hosea's neighbors they did not look like him because they weren't his and in that God uses Hosea to represent a great act of mercy and says go again Hosea and pursue a lover who's loved by another by her back Hosea and he would buy her back for the very amount in which Judas would receive to betray Jesus and foreshadow the coming of the King of glory who would marry the harlot and buy her back with his own shed blood purchase her for himself it's great prophet of mercy what what Hosea wanted can you imagine him in the school of the prophets come on Lord release your word give me your word give your word God shows up Hosea Hosea I'll have a word for you yes I'm ready oh I'm ready you saw me you knew I was ready give me a good one give me a good one the Lord says I want you to marry a harlot and have children of heart I was thinking of a different word like Elijah fire from heaven word Samuel do the sacrifice destroy the Philistine army word maybe split a see a little plague or two no Jose I thought you said you wanted to deep things of God I'm gonna give you the deepest thing well god it's not even legal she should be stoned who's talking about law Hosea you're going to be the prophet of mercy that's Hosea the first written prophet and then after Chapter three Hosea stands up from that kind of merciful heart and declares that northern Israel is living in the land of judgment God's judgment is coming you have worshipped other gods and given yourselves to other lovers and so God is going to head you in before him behind he's going to head you in he's going to starve you out and he's going to do it by allowing Assyria to come in and within a few decades northern Israel will be destroyed and will never recover they're living in the land of judgment and the Prophet gives a clear sowing and reaping principle you know that sowing and reaping principle right very simple if you sow to iniquity you reap what judgment you sow to iniquity you reap judgment so Israel's gonna find out that principle you sow to the flesh you want you reap the flesh now just so you don't get hung up there god's judgment from a theological point of view comes in two ways one is called the passive wrath of god and the other is called the active wrath of god the passive wrath of god is if you do the wrong things you bear consequences that come with living against your created design my dad my dad practiced the passive wrath and the active round the passive wrath was alan look people in the eye show up on time do your job do it well respect authority and when i didn't do it i paid the price anybody been there the passive wrath where you wake up at 22 and you go i guess doing drugs only hurt me I guess not making good grades only hurt me that's the passive wrath the act of wrath is when God directly intervenes out of love to stop you from further harm how many how many of you had dads that did the act of Wrath too maybe a little too much but Hebrews 12 says we give things to our fathers who did that because that was their love that we would learn holiness to give thanks to our fathers well God in his passive wrath and active wrath but what he's saying here to northern Israel is my active wrath is coming you have sown iniquity you are going to reap judgment but even in the land of judgment profit stands up and gives the glimmer of hope given now in the land of judgment after the Senate's has been pronounced if you sew to righteousness you will reap mercy even now even Nineveh can repent and receive God's mercy even now if you will but turn the profit gives a clear cry but then he goes on to outline three specific ways in which we can sew to righteousness that if you partner with God in those three ways God will send His mercy three specific ways the first one is individual heart preparation break up your fallow ground the second one is a corporate response of intercession the third one is don't stop it's a matter of endurance don't stop the first one is heart preparation the second one is a corporate response and the third one is a corporate response and a heart preparation until tonight I want to talk about heart preparation tomorrow I want to talk about those few who respond in a specific way that changes everything but right now I want to speak to us about heart preparation now I know that the church doesn't have much capacity or appetite for the fear of the Lord it's the beginning of wisdom but we can't stand it nobody likes to tremble anymore we want to rest we want a nice butt the Prophet begins by telling us there's a heart preparation now I'm speaking as one who has labored for 21 years night and day in a corporate response of intercession but you know what we struggle with breaking up the follow Graham I know a lot of movements that do the heart preparation one but they never pray then I'll I know a whole host of Prayer people that pray all the time but not in sincerity and live in sin before God and then I know a lot of people that do their best to do both and then they give up beloved the Prophet gives us a clear dro matter he gives us an invitation into all three tonight I want to talk about the heart preparation but here's what the premise I'm making is there is a preparation for visitation we don't even talk about consecration anymore but beloved consecration is real what's bizarre is we don't embrace it in the church but you wouldn't let let any unconsecrated engineer build your bridges you would never let a doctor that had not been to medical school do surgery on you and if you do I am so sorry every other area in life you got to get prepared you got to get prepared do you know what the Bible says if you get prepared and do right with earthly things God may trust you with spiritual things and yet we don't like to prepare young people I'm ready to do it I'm ready to do it guess what Joseph dies Jesus is a teenager and he has to take care of his mama till 30 and he is the divine son of God preparation preparation one of the smartest things you can do is go to Bible School get pre payer get prepared go to the school of revival get prepared Abraham had to leave his father's house Moses had to tell the children of Israel three days consecrate yourself for in three days he's coming don't you touch the mountain you take a bath you do whatever you you get ready consecrate yourself he's coming God's coming then David has to do it the right way or OSA dies when he's not consecrated in bringing the ark in right when God wants to visit the earth in the flesh he raises up a man the greatest man ever born of a woman and four eighteen months six to 18 months he is preparing the entire nation going before the face of the Lord to prepare the way of the Lord repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand do you know what he's saying he's saying he's coming get ready get ready get ready repent get baptized he's coming why so you can survive it when he comes he's coming beloved do you know how much they had to consecrate themselves for God's glory to dwell over a box in the Holy of Holies and now God was about to become unveiled walking in the flesh and John's going get ready people get ready Jesus is coming and you want to survive the encounter John was called to be the forerunner to prepare the way of the Lord Jesus and His disciples at the end right before he's crucified they're arguing over who's the greatest there's faultlines being exposed in their lives and after the resurrection Jesus has to teach him on the kingdom of 40 days and then tell him to get in the room and pray and fast for 10 days now we know it's 10 days they didn't know it he just said until you receive powerful maja consecration it's not a bad word and in Hosea 10 verse 12 it tells us what type of consecration says break up your fallow ground I want to ask you a question because we're not in an agrarian society do you know what follow ground is I'd hear preachers preach on the break up your follow ground I don't know what follow ground is I don't how many of you are honest ago I have no clue what follow ground is mm-hmm [Music] raise your hand I'm gonna call ya'll to repent you not as well tell the truth now follow ground is simply once fertile and fruitful ground that now sits idle and uncultivated it was once fruitful it was once fertile but now it sits idle and uncultivated and in its idle and in cultivated state it's taking on characteristics three predominant characteristics a follow ground now follow ground is the spiritual else I'll say this way follow ground is the picture of the dead soul the backslidden dead soul the wilderness there's pictures of the dead soul how many of you know in the Bible the wilderness or follow ground the first thing that we find out about follow ground is it's hard ground it's hard ground now I'm gonna pray for you right now because I can feel you slipping away father in the name of Jesus I ask that you would right now and take authority over every work of the devil a bind every demonic spirit and I ask God that you would open up the heavens that you would begin to release the spirit a power in the name of Jesus amen follow grounds hard ground its uncultivated untilled ground that becomes coarse hard-packed down its the hardened heart beloved there's nothing more dangerous than a hardened heart there's nothing more dangerous if I was up here in scandalous sin I hope somebody would intervene and confront me but if I did not draw near to the Lord and had a hard heart I would hardly get confronted in a church today and yet it's deadly the Bible has more to say about a hard heart they honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me it's the unresponsive heart to the Spirit of God it can't hear the whispers of the Spirit anymore the hearts be got weighed down hardened until uncultivated not impacted by the word and prayer and the spiritual disciplines and it can't hear the spirit anymore do you remember when you were first born again how tender your heart was you would hear the spirit I would walk in to the grocery store and on the way the spirits say pick up that piece of trash you newly say the spiracle picked up in I'd have a whole handful of trash and I'd get joy out of it why the spirit has spoken hard spirit would say don't you argue with her don't shoot you would hear the spirit go here do this dreams words of knowledge and then all of a sudden you walk with the Lord for about five ten years and the Holy Spirit says pick up that trash well I could get coronavirus [Applause] that's a different subject we're afraid of coronavirus I got invited to Japan for a healing conference and every one of them had a mass going for bird flu asked me if I wanted to put one on no it's a healing conference who you gonna heal sick people [Applause] [Music] we don't hear the spirit anymore I remember when the spirits say wipe that sink off in the public after you use it wipe it all five years in Lord so my gets paid to do that we don't hear the whispers of the Spirit jesus said it's the hard ground that when the seed of the word when the spirit speaks it hits the hard ground and can't penetrate and Satan steals the seed you can't hear him anymore you're bored you're just going through the motions but your heart's not tender Cory hit it last night you don't cry over the word anymore your hearts hard it doesn't move you nothing moves you it's just hard God's speaking it just is getting stolen because it's hard you want to hear what the Bible here's a few ver a few verses on what God thinks about the peril of having a hard heart Matthew 13 he says for the hearts of the people have grown though their ears or hard-of-hearing therefore I will not heal them number two hard hearts destroy the closest of human relationship here's what Moses the most humbled man on the earth had to do because of hard hearts look Moses because of the hardness of your hearts permitted you to divorce your wives hard hearts destroy relationships hard hearts are immune to the need around them and oppose the move of God remember the man with the crippled hand they went to test Jesus so they brought him into the synagogue on the Sabbath because they knew Jesus would be in the synagogue on the Sabbath and he couldn't overlook him and would have to heal him so they set the trap and Jesus looked at them and when he had looked around at them with anger being grieved by the hardness of their hearts Paul said in acts 28 that Israel because of the hardness of their hearts would not enter in the promises of God until they turned to Christ Romans 2 verses 4 to 6 says hard hearts do not repent and are treasuring up wrath for the day of wrath or do you despise the riches of his goodness forbearance long-suffering not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance but in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God who will render to each one according to his deeds the thought of Satan still in anything from me just as a bad thought in it he steals the Word of God because the hardness of heart it can't penetrate hardness of heart you see here's how we know we are in serious trouble because we don't feel any conviction over the hardness of heart Cory priest last night but it doesn't hardly really touch us I remember I remember Cory we were talking about this in the early days you know Mike as the shepherd of I hop every Friday night was the what was it it was the bridegroom prayer watch but all we did was come for four hours and read the Bible together as teams worshipped in the background we just read the Bible cried every week moved you you can't hardly I don't know of one more congregation in the world that meets just as everybody sit in the chair with anointed worship and let's just read the Bible to keep a heart soft fala ground is secondly filled with weeds this is terrifying because it's not just your heart as hard it's that it has intruders in it intruders have come how many of the thought of an intruder in your heart it's not just you can't hear the Word of God but in the lack of hearing and in the hardness intruders have made their home in you and they're choking out what little life remains your hardened but it doesn't stop there the hardness keeps you from responding to the word and now in the vacuum of the word other intruders have entered your heart now you're questioning God now you're wondering things now unbelief has sprouted now the lust of the flesh the pride of life in the lust of the eyes have come now addictions intruders vile things have come and they're hostile to the good seed into the soil they're hostile beloved that's why I love this church you know there's a war for your soul and there's a real battle and you guys know intruders are taking ground here weeds are not allowed and if you allow them you're not going to feel good in this house as you allow them [Applause] jesus said there's a type of soil where the weeds have risen up the cares of this life the deceitfulness of riches the desire for other things grow up and choke out the life chokes it out nothing can grow there you know at first John chapter 2 verse 12 the Apostle John says there's three stages in growth in the spirit the first one is as a child you receive the forgiveness of your father that's the first step there's no requirement you just receive the love and forgiveness of your father that's the first step you're a child in the spirit the third one is your father in the spirit which means you've received the love of the Father and you've you've labored and you found God faithful in the labor and in between is this step called being a young man in the spirit in which you get the Word of God in you and you overcome the evil one you kick the intruders out you get the word of God in you and you overcome the evil one you can't pass from being a child in the spirit to a father or mother in the spirit and lets you get the word here and you overcome the evil one and today there's a lot of grown men wearing diapers in the spirit there's nothing more foul or disgusting than a grown man walking around with a diaper and a diaper pin in the spirit grow up it's sickening what was that movie Cloudy with meatballs you remember the guy his torsos like 30 foot long his legs are that big with a diaper I can't even think of I can't even look at the scene it just disgust me just want to throw something at the TV get that thing off and right after that do you know the very first thing John says after that progression from a child to a young man or young woman to a mother or father in the spirit he goes now but wait the enemy has two major ways of tripping you up in this journey the first one is the love of the world and if you love the world the love of the father is not in you if you have a friend with the world you are an enemy of God why because intruders weeds will grow in your heart they will choke out the life it's the picture of like cancer we treat worldly sins so so the Bible says that we treat sin like a little bit of dirt on the shirt oh I got some dirt on the shirt I'll just wipe it off the Bible says if sin is dead it's a disease it's a killer it will destroy you can you imagine if you ever took a little bit of cancer and you just went oh my gosh I got to do this watch this and you shot it in your bloodstream oh my gosh you feel that you would never do that or walk in where a bola is just go in and right in the middle of all the dead bodies just take your mask off you smell that yeah it's the smell of death and yet we treat it like dirt on a shirt it's an intruder in your bloodstream it's taking over your liver it's sapping your kidneys it's destroying your brain it's allowing intruders to come Charles Spurgeon called sin the rape of God's justice the Dare of God's justice in the rape of God's mercy do not love the things of the world if anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in him for all that is in the world the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes in the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world and the world is passing away in the lust of it but he who does the will of God abides forever follow ground is hard ground it's weedy ground and third it's unfruitful ground it's hard they can't hear the hardened heart has kept the Word of God from penetrating the heart in the vacuum intruders have moved in demonic strongholds have been set up in your mind your will and emotions and are doing your body for unrighteousness in the midst of the vacuum of the word demons and demonic strongholds have moved in and the intruders are choking out what little life is left and in that place it has rendered you on fruitful the Bible is very clear in John 15 he prunes the fruitful branches so they will produce more fruit but the unfruitful he cuts off and throws into the fire unfruitful John said bear the fruits of repentance in other words don't tell me you've repented bear the fruits of repentance bear the fruits for the father wants fruit let me tell you there's nothing well there's few things more deadly than a believer telling old stories I don't care about your old stories old stories are just that they're old they do nothing to bring revival in new stories fruitfulness Jesus said it very clearly you'll tell a tree by its fruit but we're so scared to work or do anything we've just got a rest no you gotta be fruitful for by this your father's glorified let me tell you something I have no desire to have a lazy bum for son he's going to be fruitful why he's going to marry somebody someday and she's gonna thank me that he's not gonna be a lazy bum he's going to be fruitful I expect that from my earthly son God wants fruitfulness he wants more I remember before the awakening broke out and I helped you for 10 months 7,000 healings 15,000 hundred baptisms and ten months but you know what we did before that I gathered all the professors of the school and I said all I've heard is your old stories I've heard no news stories there's nothing going on in your lives I don't want to hear when you're 22 and went on the WHI wham outreach do your neighbors ask you questions about God are your workers either mad at you for the gospel I want to learn from you for the gospel does anybody know you're a believer our dreams and visions happening around your life or their divine appointments do you just go places and things begin to happen because you're fruitful the life of God in you a good tree will produce good fruit and a bad tree will produce what bad fruit it's a crazy thing but I there's a ton of New Testament verses that say he will judge you according to your deeds you know well that's not talking about salvation well whatever it's talking about you better get with it quit throwing salvation by grace up there to discount every other truth in the New Testament fruitfulness is the sign of the life of God in you and if you're filled with the spirit and abiding in Jesus you will bear good fruit period it will just come out of you you'll dream up ways to do good things you won't be ruled by your emotions beloved where's your heart now where are the new stories of your fruitfulness are you persecuted for righteousness sake do the people in your workplace ask you to give a reason for the joy and hope which you have does anyone approach you asking you to show them the way of salvation where are your disciples in the ones you're instructing in the new way everlasting where are your children and grandchildren in the faith where are they I guarantee you there's many people in this room that have never led anyone to the Lord most probably or not even talked to anyone in the Lord Bible is very clear if you are ashamed of me before men I will be ashamed of you before my father in heaven and all of his holy angels but if you're not ashamed of me before men I will not be ashamed of you before my father in heaven and all the holy angels that's not a hard word that's that what are you saying Alan are you trying to condemn us your your horse no here's what I'm saying to us let's ask him to help us lead someone to Jesus this next year oh I remember oh my we have a good friend called Hal Linhart he is the head of it he was the head of Avenger evangelism for IHOP and he just got on everyone's nerves because he was relentless and telling us those very things and I remember he was on his high horse again telling us you know weeping over Souls but you don't weep for souls and I'm just I want to weep for souls and then I realized I don't weep for souls and all I got is old stories and I remember repenting and going home that night and saying god I've led people to the Lord but not this year I'm sorry I'm sorry and I'm sorry I don't even feel bad about it I don't even feel that's the hardness do you see it we don't shed a tear for the loss and nobody even thinks the wiser but we can dance how I mean you know it's easy to dance and I remember saying God I don't cry for the loss in fact I don't even care if the people in my street I don't even care right now and I remember remember repenting and I said God help me help me feel help me do something because I you can't make it happen especially when the preachers preaching that you can't make it happen you're like okay I know I've been on the other side of this thing and I remember going home that night going god I'm so sorry helped me and that night the Lord gave me a dream he gave me the name of a street and in the street I was supposed to go there and share the gospel with someone and I went on Google Earth because I've never heard of this street so I went on Google Earth I looked it up and it was in the middle of the woods with no houses built then but the Lord said go to that Street so I went to the street and it was no longer woods they were building a new development in my dream that showed me the specific house what it looked like and so I pull up and it's that house it's the clubhouse and I I go it's the house god you were right I pull up to the house I get out and there's a man taking bags of what what is drywall mix you know mud mud and I come up to him I said sir uh you know the Lord led me to come this place and do you do you know of Lord do you know the Lord Jesus oh yeah I know the Lord Jesus and he goes I go what are you sick do you need it is prayer no I feel great I have no needs my well how about your family are they all say yeah we're all saved I go huh I go I'm really confused I had a dream with the name of this place this place and here you already saved and I don't need to talk to some same person today and he goes we'll go in there there's a bunch of people that need to be saved so I go in and it's the beautiful Hispanic drywall workers and so I go in and of course I'm terrified but when you're terrified you just start shouting you know that word feels like a thousand ton breaker on your tongue go so in order to get it off use and and I took two years of Spanish so I know what loco means and that was the nice words and they were talking to each other and they were using some words I won't say from the pulpit and then I just stopped and said the Lord gave me a dream to come here because he loves you and Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins that if you'll believe on him and confess with your mouth that he's the Lord you shall be saved and I began to just say the gospel to him got the courage to just say it and then all of a sudden they were laughing at me the first five minutes but when the Spirit came hallelujah in the room the spirit came in the room and suddenly they went from laughing and calling me all kinds of names to suddenly the Holy Spirit moved on him as they look down to the ground and as I presented the gospel how many of you right now would like to give your lives to Jesus Christ and exchange your dead life for his eternal life right now how many of you and every one of them raised their hand and every one of them prayed to receive the gospel and I was so shocked and happy that I went and let it be known this day the Lord has sent his servant to you to bring salvation and walked out I got down the road with I think I need to go back and tell them how to go to church [Applause] why am I saying that because that's not a condemnation we've got to embrace the fear of the Lord why because without the fear of the Lord we think we're here but that doesn't matter because God might see us here but the fear the Lord comes to span the gap to let us know you're not here you're here but if you embrace it he'll take you there for he dwells with the humble and contrite who tremble at his word we don't tremble we don't shake before the Almighty we know humble our hearts and he's waiting for us waiting to make a heart soft to make her hearts we didn't clean and to make him fruitful he'll help you he's a good father but he's not a foolish father and he won't call that which is not as though it is that's the most terrifying thing about God is he's honest and we in church today we measure ourselves by ourselves and others around us know blah but we need a season of breaking up the follow ground we need a season not a mean-spirited condemnation but of honest talk so that we can embrace the fear of the Lord and go way higher than we're at now when we don't tremble we're not poor in spirit when we don't recognize our poverty and we keep doing the things we're doing just turn the volume up maybe he'll come we need a season of reflection searching our hearts you know what breaking up the follow ground means repent repent that's a cuss word today do you know do you know the very first thing John the Baptist said repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand and be baptized you know what the first word jesus said in mark repaired for the kingdom is at hand and all things are fulfilled you know the first sermon Peter preached for the church repent and be saved repent do you know when he shows up you say well that's for unbelievers he shows up to the seven churches in Asia Minor you know what he says to five of them repent you know what he says to the last one beat zealous and repent be giddy about repenting just get all happy about repenting oh I tell my sons this all the time do you know what one of the best things you can do is just learn how to say I'm sorry quickly my middle son has a lot of things wrong but you know what he would do he'd say I'm sorry dad and it was like stealing my thunder I just well I had a good lecture for you boy good tongue thrashing you just stole it right there you know what I was wrong we need to repent we need to be zealous to repent we need to turn to the Lord God you know I couldn't preach this message this week doggone it the Lord said you've got to do it you got to search your heart all week Alan you know what he's you know what he convicted me up I'm just being honest he convicted me of two things this week I'm sure there were many more but he knew my poor little heart it could only take two right now my wife might have 10 things right now this moment but the Lord poured it out two things do you know what one of the things was when I went to seminary I delivered pizza to put my way through seminary that's right Pizza Hut Delivery and Christians did not give good tips if I saw a fish on the bumper sticker on the old note you don't do that tip them well but I remember I loved that big old cup red plastic cup from Pizza Hut and as a delivery driver I could drink all the coke I wanted and I did but I loved that cup it was big back back before there were big gulps this was ancient times that cup was big so guess why I kept it I kept that cup and you know what the Holy Spirit said to me this week you stole that Cup you know how to inform the holy spirit I did a lot of work for that company a lot of overtime he did not even care about my good argument he just kept saying but Alan you stole that Cup do you know what I have to do this week I will have to do it Joshua didn't I tell you you got to make sure I do it I've got to walk into a Pizza Hut and look the manager in the eye and take a five dollar bill I don't even get to ask for change because I know it wasn't worth five bucks but I got to give a five dollar bill and look him in the eye and say I stole that car I don't know where the cup is so you're getting five dollars you know what he's gonna think I'm an idiot he's gonna think I'm crazy guess what I don't care I don't care I don't care I want to fully please God I want to fully please God I want to see his spirit move a lot of times where we have revival services we look for the revival surface services to come back to the Lord and we don't seriously reflect and go through a season of repentance we don't break up the follow ground but it's time to prepare the way of the Lord in our hearts it's time to repent to proactively break up the heart and go places in her heart if I was a pastor today you almost have to organize times of reading the Bible because I don't think anybody does a lot of strutting not much word not many people walk with God I can hardly find a friend of Jesus anymore we got to begin to tend the weeds of worldliness and idleness that have intruded the holy places of our hearts I've met a lot of world-renowned leaders and quite a few of them had shriveled up mean hearts but they were gifted they were powerful I think Cory said it right last night we got to be undone before we're in dude it's time to use all the tools in the tool belt of our faith to be free from sin and to cultivate sincere love for Jesus prayer fasting I remember I was at a wide web base and they were all addicted and all the leaders said we just can't overcome this particular sin of the flesh it's just we're all dicta I remember saying I was so broken and I remember saying have you gone on a 40-day fast well no I said yeah I think it takes about six weeks to get freed up in your mind and get the addiction broke the chemical addiction you know broke in your mind and and have you ever just went on a forty day fast together as a whole team well no and I thought to myself my gosh we don't even use the common tools anymore like that's a common tool you're struggling with the lust of the flesh starve your flesh don't eat you know what a kill a sex drive not eating I'm a kid don't eat for 40 days you know I thought that's a horrible thought you know it's a worse thought going to hell on a full stomach I mean it I don't know a church that's called a forty day fast to break off the sin of the flesh on our men today and our women I don't know if one can you imagine that the revival churches don't fast there's not a revivalist in history didn't fast we don't use the common tools we don't read the word let's pray that you're not enter into imitation there's hardly any corporate prayer meetings in the church today hardly one on the whole earth I go everybody where the revival chairs I haven't how many prayer meetings you got really that's the fruit of revival really we don't use the common tools of repentance we've got to use the common tools prayer fasting immersion in God's Word Christian friendship and gathering vulnerability and confession fleeing temptation cutting off hindrances living a life of honor and goodwill preferring each other more than ourselves encouraging the Saints daily contending afresh with one another for breakthrough these are the common means of grace Evan Robertson this is where I end it because you're like thanks Ellen we this just killed our revival weekend we feel very encouraged by you right now and my earlier days I would have screamed at you the whole time but as a father I'm too broken to because I'm afraid we're in delusion Evan Roberts was a leading figure in 1904 to 1905 Welsh revival he was the precursor for the Sousa Street revival in a very short time I think it was in four months a hundred thousand people came to know the Lord and Wales which would been the equivalent of millions today we keep Ratan in his book revival records a message from Evan Roberts to the church in America a young reporter then asked Evan for a message for America he grasped his hand and gave him the following the prophecy of Joel was being fulfilled there the Lord says I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh if that is so all flesh must be prepared to receive you desire in an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the city good you do well but remember four conditions must be observed for the Holy Spirit to come number one the past must be clear every sin confess to God any wrong to man must be put right have you forgiven everybody everybody if not don't expect forgiveness for your sins better offend 10,000 and friends then grieve the spirit of God or quench it first one is the past must be clear everything confessed to God and any wrong to any man must be put right what if we did that number to every doubtful thing must be removed once and formol from our lives is there anything in your life that you cannot decide whether it's good or evil if so if you can't decide get rid of it there must not be a trace of a cloud between you and God and his point is hey if you don't run revival you don't have to do that if you don't want an extraordinary time and you want to live in an ordinary time you don't have to do that he's the same but if you want to live and an extraordinary time if you want to be the revival folk then you got to do it you know I don't know if I want to do that Allen great then you will live in an ordinary time and I tell you I hear it all the time I hear it everywhere I go there's a third Great Awakening coming and as if God because he did two owes us a third one you know most nations never get to this land got to this land got to historic revivals to that the residue is still on our land from - he does not owe you a third I want to be very clear we say it he owes us because we gathered in that Stadium no he doesn't did you break up your follow ground I remember I was at AZ at the stadium Qualcomm Stadium San Diego proposition 8 was about to be voted on a big bill for traditional marriage and homosexuality and all that stuff and I'm not making a comment about that I'm just saying lots of things were on the line 20,000 people showed up to that hundred-thousand Stadium on the eve of the largest vote that was either going to land one way or the other and I'm up there with all the pastors and their work megachurch pastors of 20,000 members or more and as I'm up there Lou Engel walks over and goes Island get the word of the Lord I go you don't want me to because the Holy Spirit whispered to me and said five of you pastors on this stage if you would have just got your members to pray would have filled this stadium but you don't actually live a life of prayer and fasting you could not call your people to prayer and fasting they did not come but you're glad to strut on the stage today and be important I got done Mike Bickle walked over to me and goes he goes I'm so proud of you he goes but just know you have made enemies with everybody on this stage that you're sitting with he goes but I'm gonna make bigger enemies when I get up because he gave the word of the Lord guess what I specifically said there were five passengers here if you would have just brought your congregations this stadium would be full but you didn't you were content one of the men came for didn't come to me but one man came and he put his head in my chest and he just wept and he said you're right I don't pray I don't fasten I didn't bring my people but I was content to have a 30-minute slot and speak today and feel important I'm sorry I wonder what would happen in the American church at the spirit of conviction begin to come if we really got right with God if we really did heart preparation what would happen in this baby nation this baby nation 207 years and we've had two historic revivals this baby nation what would happen if God looked at this baby nation and went they turned to me look at him they turn to me I believe right now the only reason why I'm telling you this I believe it's true but also this this last reason God wants this church to be a womb of a rival a womb that can host a baby that will do a hard preparation and walk out integrity of heart and life that God could come not just to this room but we're Cardinal way or state form stadium fills the glory in the last to heaven robert said obedience prompt implicit unquestioning obedience to the Holy Spirit of God at whatever cost must be embraced and then forth public confession of Christ tell others about your faith if we did those four things Evan Roberts said you would experience the acts 2:17 outpouring now I'm only saying that to you because he's a father of revival and he gave us a specific word listening there's a song son you you told me about is that maverick is it was you worship moderate was at maverick City volume 2 did you tell me that Cory refiners fire there's a song called refiners fire Maverick City vol - oh my gosh has just made my heart so tender these days before God the cry for holiness and repentance is this I want to fully please him I want to fully please God here's what we're gonna do tonight because I know we're so unfamiliar with the fear of the Lord he's like a stranger in the land he's like an unwanted stranger in the land we have a hardly an ounce of capacity for him [Music] just lead us in a song for a moment just to tenderize our hearts a little bit a sweet song a song that's easy to sing so we won't think about the words we'll be open to the holy spirit has your heart become hard [Music] I believe the spirits saying I want to tenderize your heart I want you to meet me in the word again I want to soften you I want you to walk with me to know me have you allowed intruders to come into the garden of your heart I know their seasons where I in different seasons I my heart became hard and intruders begin to take place and then I became unfruitful in the Lord just beckoned like a good father like a good friend Alan you were made for more than this [Music] are you fruitful and your walk where a large portion of the church is reflecting searching their hearts repenting you go you know what I want to go on a journey with the Holy Spirit to prepare my heart for visitation last night a lot of revivalists raised their hands one of the gifts that God gives to revivalists is a life of continued reflection and repentance this continual drawing near the Lord learning how to overcome seasons of hardness and deadness and atrophy revival in your own heart [Music] I want to pray for those that I was praying for last night for the spirit of Revelation to come upon you part of the spirit of Revelation is the fear of the Lord you're here and you go I want to enter into a greater season of reflection not condemnation but where I get comfortable sitting with Jesus as my friend where he speaks to me and says Alan you you stole that [Music] or Alan you you've been operating this way don't use your Myers Brigg or Enneagram to excuse it you you did it just talk to me is talk to me about it [Music] I want humble contrite hearts I want to dwell with them I want to dwell with them I want people who are zealous to repent that this well-worn path to the cross that are quick to say I'm sorry God that are sensitive to the Spirit where their hearts are tender and can hear the spirit when they can tell most of us can't even tell when we've grieved the spirit our hearts are so hard we we don't even know when we grieve in if you go I want to go on a season of reflection I want to pray for you because I know I heard the Lord said if I just get to I'm not preaching to just the whole group I'm talking to two people if just two people will get a spirit of revelation on their life they'll be undone so they can be endued they live this life of transparency before God and before men and women this vulnerability of our hearts where we become tender and sensitive to the spirit remember those days when the spirit we could just sense the spirit saying don't do that I love you don't do that don't go there [Music] when we were fascinated by the gospel when we look forward to doing even the smallest of good deeds and now we're mad cuz we got overlooked [Music] father give us the gift of the fear of the Lord let that manifestation of your compassion and love come and make a womb of sincere devotion God begin to send the rain the oil of the Spirit to soften her hearts my heart's heart I saw a picture some of you have been through you've been through suffering or trial some of you been through trauma others of you have been disappointed and grown bitter in your your heart you've shut down your heart you can't feel and the Holy Spirit is saying I love you let me all your heart come to me let me oil your heart some of you aren't feeling anymore you don't feel you know feel your heart is hard intruders have tried to choke out the life that's there you're unfruitful in your faith and the Lord goes I love you come to me let me all your heart again [Music] come Holy Spirit come right now come right now come right now father father for to hear come right now right now Holy Spirit spirit of conviction father I asked for this church don't let them live in ordinary time bring extraordinary time for fresh start for all those churches watching and represented here let them live an extraordinary time God calm Holy Spirit [Music] release that refiners fire till we're sincere [Music] I just keep hearing for these revival assistance most people are content to only live with a few faces of Jesus [Music] but not you you want to know his faces you want to his faces what I keep hearing tonight is he wants friends he wants friends he wants friends dwelling places dwelling places men and women who cry when they're 80 who weep with love when they're 90 than when a person says I'm sorry to another person the Holy Spirit is going to speak to some of you tonight he's going to want restitution he's going to say I forgive you now go make that right go pay them back you go why I don't I cheated him out of the rent I don't have I you know that and the devil will give you a thousand reasons why you shouldn't and the Holy Spirit will go you know that that's ok but you can't live in an extraordinary time you can do that an ordinary time but you can't be a host for revival the spirits gonna speak tenderly to you he's going to allure you to the wilderness and speak to your heart and go I forgive you but I want you to do this he's gonna invite you into a beautiful storyline of redemption if you ever walked through a a the 12-step program you know one of the steps is to make wrong things right with everybody you can it's an important step and if you want to host God's presence more than just an ordinary backslidden believer the Holy Spirit will invite you into these deep waters Zacchaeus said I'll pay back four times over what I've stolen Jesus said salvation has come to your household Zacchaeus that picture Kim did that I knew the Holy Spirit was speaking to them father ass right now for your sweet tender voice to come talk to us he won't ask you to do something you don't have the ability to do he'll he'll make a way for you to do it well you don't know how much I've stolen or this or that will the Lord can the Lord can walk you through a process he can release great testimonies so father right now I asked right now Holy Spirit begin to speak all over this room get real personal he wants personal friendship with you tonight he's inviting you into friendship beloved even in the Apostles on the Garden of Gethsemane he made a stay there and he only took three with him there are places where only a few get to go with Jesus there are places that there's only an inner sir this is one of those places he goes you don't have to do it but you'll live an ordinary time but if you're an extraordinary time if you want deep friendship with me come come enter into the joy of granting forgiveness asking forgiveness saying I'm sorry getting clean in your heart I want truth in the inward places clean hands and a pure heart blessed are the pure in heart they'll see what God called live fresh start see God let him see you let Phoenix see you raise up hosts of her life I'll do it God right now holy spirit speak all over this from little impressions he'll speak to you specifics he won't condemn you he'll speak he will convict you which conviction versus condemnation is specific due this hour you stole the cup son give it back you did this when you treated that girl that way when you treated that guy wouldn't you live here he'll just invite you to deep friendship purity of heart come Holy Spirit come Holy Spirit let's sing this [Music] we want you make everything right with God in man [Music] give him the gray must learn to live these places of as Alan has said so profoundly reflection and repentance it's the constant call to the cross [Music] this was a powerful word we received tonight yes I think Alan for obeying the holy spirit and releasing that to us [Applause] one of the things I've learned too is every time God brings you to another place of repentance it's because he's getting ready to release more of himself to you and if we will obey Him in our repentance Hebrew of appeal himself to us so I really believe that God is just as the word of the Lord was tonight preparing us to receive more of him into our life more revelation like we were spoken to last night about amen so my spirit is feeling good tonight and I think that God is just trying to take a so deep church as up as if you're praying in it this morning that will not allow revival to be shallow we will not allow it to be shallow it is a deep work of God and the souls and the hearts of men at his church every time we
