RESURFACING PATIO WITH RAPIDSET NEWCRETE

hey how's it going guys my name is Tyler dude but we're here from cts rapid head cement and we're from the Dallas Fort Worth and today we're gonna be showing you how to mix our rapid set new creep product on this patio right here [Music] we agreed is the country surface that can be applied from skim-coat to half an inch it has a working town or 30 minutes and can be walked on in two or three hours and it can be open to vehicular traffic in as little as 24 hour news feed also comes in and knock each other that gonna match the old assistant colors making me purse a lot easier to do it also comes with self curing technology and just like any other cement product it requires sound surface prep which will get it for our surface preparation for this application it must be clean sound and free from any materials that may inhibit bonds such as oil asphalt curing compound acid dirt paint stains and loose debris what you want to do is you want to roughen the surface up like we are doing here with like a concrete grinder with a seven-inch diamond blade Cup wheel to remove all unsound material and open the pores and have to get it ready for our resurfacing product there are several different tools you can use to achieve this visit your local home centers rental department for more information on these tools pricing and availability [Music] set around the surface as far as the prep work you don't want any standing water like we have here is you want me but you want make sure that it's nice and damn so these are why you want one no standing water - that's gonna in here will your fun make sure before you start mixing that all your tools are placed where you're going to need them and out of your way so you don't have any trip hazards on your job site for your mixes we recommend a power drill and a paddle mixer such as this for this type of application before you start read the instructions on the box they're gonna tell you everything you need to know about what we've already covered in surface prep as well as mixing the materials and the application as I said before have all your tools ready to go we have our buckets here we have our Guerlain panel and we have our bag of nutrient open and ready to go for a new Creek you're gonna want to mix it with anywhere from two and a half to three quarts of water so what we're doing today we're gonna do is zoom in a half best way to mix this material is to be mixing it while you're pouring it in that way it gets an even consistency all the way through the maze you always want to shake the sides of your bucket to get all that dry powder in the event you don't have any feet let me apply you want to mix it for at least two to three minutes to achieve the desired consistency fighting two ways you can try a little on when you can use the squeegee to squeeze it on what I'm gonna do so I'm gonna use a trowel just run this thing up pour enough out there so you can work with small area and you want to give it a brute finish right afterwards you're applying it you always want to keep it at an angle you never wanna go flat where you going [Music] and immediately after you place the material you want to start applying your broom finish [Music] [Music] now that we trying to make a path for your broom you want to get all that extra material off your broom now give you a nice broom again to do another pass as you guys can see and as little as a few hours we have foot traffic and a brand new resurfaced patio
