Restoring my Entire Bratz Collection | Episode 3

[Music] hello everybody welcome back to my bratz collection restore series this episode was filmed a while ago which is why i'm still in my family home throughout this episode also it might be a good idea to watch the previous episode to get an understanding of my thought process and why i seem so exhausted we are kicking off episode three with some deep cleansing i'm going to show you how i wash their clothes and i start on their hairstyles we are also going to open the last box of memories and i found a bunch of my old posters so there's going to be lots of nostalgia and goodies to see there will also be some never before seen footage of a brat series i started making a while ago so grab a snack and a warm drink and i hope you enjoy the video good morning it's day three let me tell you guys the double rinsing worked really well you can see their hair is like absolutely gorgeous and when they have particular hairstyles like curls even when you wash them they still you know reform but yeah some pretty good results okay so for the cloves i was a little bit scared of putting them all in the washing machine so i just filled my sink with warm water and then sprinkled some washing powder in there so then i just submerged them all and got them all swishing around with the soap i wasn't crazy about getting them super clean i just wanted to get all the surface dirt off and any mold spores if there were any i just made sure to be super careful and gentle because a lot of the materials are really delicate some of them have really intricate stitching or sequins and glitter and i just wanted to make sure i didn't ruin any of the clothes and then also you can see i start taking a few pieces out because i got a bit worried that the colors were going to run onto them or like they were a bit too delicate i also wish that i hadn't left the clothes on velcroed because i found that the velcro would stick to other bits of clothing that were really delicate and sort of pull at the thread so a little tip if you're going to wash your clothes just make sure they're all like fastened done up all the velcro is together oh my god it's so dirty oh my gosh so i thought that this was just how dirty the clothes are but i'm pretty sure this is actually just the dye that's coming out of the darker clothes the first time you wash something dark a lot of the pigment comes out so i'm pretty sure that's what it was and if you're worried about this running into the other clothes you could use a color catcher sheet or just make sure your water's not too hot but i found the colors didn't run i was pretty lucky and then i just lay them all flat on a towel and left them in the sunshine to dry i also put some of their clothes in with a white wash in their washing machine i just put it in a little protective bag this skirt has come out pretty well but there's still like there's still stains on the t-shirt i put it at 50 degrees so maybe it needed to be hotter but i didn't want to risk like ruining them so all of these are done i have all of these to do and i actually only have two days left this week to finish it i don't think i'm gonna finish it all before i move these are the ones that are gonna need hairstyles so like for instance i don't know how i'm gonna clean her hair chloe has this gorgeous hairstyle and i don't really want to take it out because i don't think i'll be able to do it again but it's kind of coming apart and then i'll try and wash her body without ruining her hairstyle so if i didn't want to take out a hairstyle but i still wanted to make sure the hair was clean i found that just submerging the hair under water and then letting it dry fully without touching it too much worked just fine it didn't seem to ruin the hairstyle in any way i actually ended up taking chloe's hair out completely and redoing it but i was really scared at this point so i just did her ponytail and the same with my soccer megan her ponytail was kind of intricate so i just kind of wet it and then i did put a little bit of soap you can see i put i just dab it on really gently just to make sure that the soap kind of gets in there and then i left it to soak and then i just really gently rinsed it out without kind of touching or moving it too much i'm not sure if this would work on more intricate hairstyles but for most of them it worked just fine but then the elastic broke so i ended up having to redo it anyway oh this is so annoying i'm just going to replace the band with the new one right and then this bit like oh i'm gonna untwist it this bit twisted round oh my god guys oh my god have i ruined it not yet i kind of got it but it's now like facing the wrong way i've kind of done it i'm just gonna call that a day for her hair i think it's actually easier doing it with their hair wet because it kind of sticks down a bit more and there's less flyaways hair gel would be really helpful to get a more polished look but as i didn't have any i just did the best with what i could do okay there we go i've just finished um sweet dreams chloe's hair i just need to figure out how i'm gonna curl the front and then we've got camping chloe here who has a very similar hairstyle so let's do it her hair is already parted so it's pretty easy i know that she has two bits that hang in the front so we're gonna [Music] perfect she's just gonna dry now [Music] okay i'm losing track of what day it is how long i've been doing this it just feels like i've been doing every day all this week i have no makeup on i'm slowly getting there here's all my clean girls i've got a few more clean girls up there so i seriously considered just leaving some that looked like they were in really good condition but okay so here's a perfect example this um winter fun pack yasmin externally she looked completely fine she was wearing jeans and a long sleeve top her hair looks perfect there's nothing wrong with her skin i thought okay i won't need to clean this one she looks fine when i took her clothes off oh my god the mold gets underneath the clothes she had these really tight jeans on i i never really changed her because she's just always worn this outfit i never really changed her if i had not looked i would not have seen that the mold has like got to the plastic so i'm gonna just have to clean absolutely all of them which is gonna take so much longer than i thought but i'd rather make sure and be really thorough i'm going to try and clean like this batch this evening and then that'll be all until i move because i just don't think i'm gonna have time to finish them all before i move but that's okay because they will get cleaned in the end okay so something weird is happening to my dolls after i wash them the same thing that happened to this one is now happening to this one it's really weird it only showed up after i washed and like i scrubbed it really hard but you can see like it kind of comes off if you scrape it it's like this strange like powdery residue and it's kind of like when i rubbed it off like her face has become really shiny but it won't come off like when i scrub at it with soap and water i ended up soaking the affected dolls in mold spray which helped a little bit but i ended up having to dry scrub them because water just wasn't helping some people thought it was soap residue i know it definitely wasn't that and it didn't seem to be mold so i'm still really unsure what exactly it was because it only affected a few of the dolls and it was only the bratz babies i'm assuming it's some kind of plastic deterioration which is kind of sad but just something to keep an eye on okay guys so i have been packing up my room it is slowly coming apart and i have one more box to open i think i know it's in here because i've roughly kind of put some stuff in here okay this is all my furniture so this is the problem with like collectors items because furniture and stuff is a little more difficult to display but it still means so much to me like oh my god this this is actually a my scene couch but oh my god the my scene furniture was so nice this also was in my scene furniture oh it's really grubby i can see my cruiser down there my car oh god i'm gonna have to go through all of this i've got my brat stands i might have to bring her through a few of those with me oh this is from the ski lodge and then we've got the bed that came with the ski oh my god where's the ski lodge [Music] oh my god that's gone i do not no [Music] i made this at school isn't it cute i might keep that actually look look this is one of the my scene like look how nice that is this is a my scene little bench that went with the bedroom set ah surfboard okay so this was like my favorite thing that i ever had because it was very similar to the actual car that chloe had in the first ever movie i loved this because it was like exactly the same as the one in the movie so this has always been my chloe car i used to sit my dolls in the back without the trunk on i think it's in here there it is it actually just slides on so yeah it's like so iconic i know that they made a few different colors but this blue one just i don't know it was just like really meant a lot to me i love the detail like it came with the little seat covers like they could have like little fluffy seats i think it used to play the radio mine never worked but like oh my god there's little marshmallows in there you could actually like press the buttons and like turn the little gear stick this even turns the wheels look like it's insane how much oh sorry in the same like the car doors open the amount of detail the freaking seat belts actually went in to the buckle how insane is that i don't remember barbie cars ever like having this they even had they've even got these car mats this one's gone missing obviously but look i need to give this a good clean little cup holders insane i bloody love this it even has a spring back in the seat belt like i keep finding more and more things of this car that i forgot about this this even moves like what is the purpose of that i don't know but it's freaking amazing i wish they would make toys like this these days you even have to like press this in to open it like isn't that insane oh speedometer my cameras my cameras i just never knew what to do these i think they actually work as well this is like a proper old school bratz one i might try and actually use it so cute isn't it this one came with the movie star bratz dolls i have a remote control kid thing that actually i never even bought batteries for it so i never actually got to use it but um you know those families that just never have batteries yeah that was that was our family oh my goodness okay my top trunks i think i bought these on holiday when i was very very young like seven maybe i absolutely adore adore the animations on these cards they are so old school so detailed look at like the shiny silver writing retro sasha disco jade i mean they didn't actually make these dolls look like this but still it was like so cool they did make wintertime wonderland those ones like these cards meant so much to me when i was a kid i would literally take them everywhere i remember sitting like in restaurants in spain with my family and just like looking through these cards i i'm gonna show you my favorite in a minute oh look tokyo isn't that insane where's my favorite card oh my god i hope she's in here here she's right at the back this was my favorite i don't know why i just love how she's got her little summer dress her little bag and she's got a little makeup mirror i just thought oh my god that's like what i want to be when i'm older like just walking along my little cute dress so i would never ever throw these away they are they mean so much to me they are so wonderful here we have a few little precious gems let's have a look little brat sticker book so my mom used to work in this pub there was a wall where you could like draw a picture and put it on and i just wanted everyone to know that i loved bratz like i it was just my like soul purpose in life was like to dedicate everything to brats so i of course drew my uh chloe sweet uh sweet dreams chloe i believe this is here we've got by a big big bratz fan isabella byford and then i would like cut out from the dolls that i got these i don't know if anybody remembers my old room i'll try and find some footage but back a long long time ago um i had these stuck on my wardrobe so these were all over my wardrobe oh and then here we have my bedding brats pillowcase my brats bedding i would love to put these on my bed but i've i've had a double bed for years now never really use these because they're all singles i'm pretty sure they made some doubles so i've kind of like been looking on ebay i try not to add to my collection because it's just more stuff that i will struggle to get rid of like i won't be able to i have to store it somewhere do you know what i mean so it's hard to like have collections of stuff oh this is actually laguna blue i became obsessed with monster high at one point it was very short-lived but it was when i was about 16 i suddenly had a huge obsession with monster high but i'm not really that bothered about them anymore it's jade's hair oh my god my bee brat who remembers the bee brats they came with this little usb and you could plug it in and only the people that had the usb could play the games on there and i think you could like connect with other people i don't remember if i ever managed to but i remember there was like this car game on it you had like your brats and did they have like a house and a pet and you could like look after the pet or something i don't know but i just remember it's so fun i came with a little like pink mouse that i've got somewhere i might throw it away because it broke i also found this little dress that i made masquerade masks in here they're very weird like they look really weird on and they never quite fit my face but um i kept them talking about bee brats here's the uh here's the manual yeah so this is what it came with the little thing a cover for the thing what's this what is this okay so there's some kind of food out oh i've got a food diary and on the back is oh this was i had this epic epic epic epic idea for a brat series that i was going to create i so wish that i made it but in my head i was like no i need to make like a practice series so that i can like get the hang of like so i can make the one that i really want to make really well so i made my series typical teens if anyone remembers that it's actually unlisted now as like a practice series like it wasn't even something i really like a story i wanted to do but i thought that i would do that and then after that i was going to make my series called key demon my main character i literally i wrote so many scenes for it i had i would like practice it i would like act it out with the dolls and like practice the scenes like it was gonna be epic like in my head at least and i never ended up making it and i oh that's one thing i always regret i wish that i had just ran with that idea and just made it anyway even though i felt really unprepared that's a little lesson to learn from that is if you have an idea or you want to do something just do it even if you feel unprepared because you might not get the opportunity to act on that idea again and don't even if you feel like you're not going to do it justice or you're not going to do it the best that you can there's so many instances where i've had good ideas for videos good ideas for like projects and i've never ended up doing them because i thought i wasn't ready to do them but really you have to act on your ideas as soon as they come to your head because they don't stick around for long like they the opportunity goes you have to act on them while the doors open sort of thing so so that's kind of sad for me but i keep it because i don't know literally look i've got all the script here i really liked brace face and i was going to i was going to use the audio from a brace face episode and act it out with bratz dolls so that i didn't have to do the voices myself so like looking back like i would have got copyrighted for that but i actually made i actually have the oh my god i made the first like couple scenes of brae's face i'm gonna see if i can find them and put them in this video [Music] i hate to be the wet blanket but it's already 9 30 and i have to be home by 10. doesn't anyone else no too bad that's okay come on we'll walk you home i've arranged for the babysitter to come tomorrow at noon did i just hear the word babysitter i'll only be able to relax if i know you're in good hands and sharon it goes to show like i was so interested in like filmmaking and like making little like shows i guess that's kind of why i went into acting later on in life i just it was something i was i've always kind of done okay guys you will not believe what i just found obviously not open this in a long time so many of you wondered how i got it to look like my bratz dolls eyes were closed in one of the episodes of typical teens i paid attention to what their eyeshadow was and i cut out these little eye shaped pieces of paper and i cut out these teeny tiny bits of sellotape and i sell a tape them onto their eyes literally the best idea i have ever had so that is how i got it to look like they were asleep that was literally the best idea i ever had i was really proud of that so i'm gonna leave them in there for a rainy day we're gonna put those back in there just because it's like nice memories one day i have bubble wrapped my car because i want to preserve that as good as possible and now i'm just packing all the furniture in here so this can go into storage because i cannot i don't think i'm going to be able to take this with me i remember like bringing the little brats and the baby back to school because they were like small enough to sort of like take with you and like play with that break time i actually vividly remember playing with the baby brats in school and must have been about seven or eight i just remember playing outside in the playground with the baby brats and we just thought they were so cool their little chains their little bottles we just thought they were incredible but yeah i loved my little brats as well oh so many memories i wish they would make toys like this these days okay so i'm kind of getting organized now i have filled my box with everything that's going to go into storage i've actually got quite a bit of space left in there i just need to put this and this in a bag sadly i'm going to get rid of all of this stuff this scrap stuff because honestly i mean i was really proud of it but like i can't use i can't just keep hold of that i'm not probably not going to use it but i am going to keep some of these because i can like scrap book these and like these little decorations i made they're so cute and the little posters like i even made little food um and then i found my i attempted to like list out my entire bratz collection like i put all the years and stuff and then here i've just collected together all of the clothes and accessories i could find in that box so because i'm gonna have to bring those with me so i can properly dress them and get them all with their correct things and i am gonna keep these so i can possibly scrapbook those as well and then i'm keeping i'm taking all that with me so i'm taking that with me oh this stuff i need to let go put that i might sell my monster highs just because i'm i they don't mean enough to me to keep and they're just gonna take up space and you know they're really lovely but i i need to let go of things oh look there's a little clock cute oh this was a carpet i made anyway i keep getting distracted so that's my progress at the moment i have a bit of a dilemma i'm not sure what to do i'm kind of like here and there with these new these new brats they do mean a lot because it's like their whole big comeback but they don't have as many memories attached to them as the older ones for me so i mean i'll probably cut these out so i can scrapbook them anyway i always used to keep hold of this plastic because it used to be really good for like making windows and stuff furniture for your bra so i always thought oh i can make like a shop window at that but um yeah i never did right i have successfully downsized i've cut out all i needed to cut out i was meaning to do that for years i've cut out all their names which i can use on something rather and i am throwing away the rest okay so really lucky i came in here to check my bag of barbies i thought that it was just barbies all in this stuff but i just realized that in this box there is more bratz clothes i can't believe that i don't even know why this is in here i'd obviously put it here like for the time being thinking oh i'll get that out and i just never did it's really sad that's bobby this is bratz bratz no oh that's barbie's oh my freaking punk bag okay so i've just been sort of like putting all of the furniture together which goes with everything and this was so long ago that i had this because i didn't really play with this much when i became like an older kid like this was when i was a young kid so this was for the little brats i loved this it had like a lift i did find some little bratz shoes these are notorious for going missing the beach little brats with the little deck chairs and they had like a little leopard print and a little zebra print i just think that's so adorable i used to use this as a lunch box they can be used for like all kinds of things so i will keep this um possibly my future children will use this as a lunchbox you never know also i forgot to show you what was in this little box there's like not very good light let's have a look this little box i had for so long um and i would keep a lot of accessories in it so here we have the treasure for oh so we've got some jewelry in there which you should probably take with me we've got loads of jewelry in here oh oh okay maybe i do have the smoothies we've got all like the little um foodie bits more stuff aha okay this is making more sense now there's lots of little random bits and bobs in there that i used to keep and then the top shelf we've got some random bags oh these are not even brats yeah this is a my scene bag and the rest of those are like barbies i think this was my star diva's bag polly pocket bags down there oh i just don't know what to do with all these you know okay so my bedroom is like almost empty so sad but also it's gonna be so exciting to move but anyway i found the last thing from the cellar that is bratz related and i'm actually quite excited to open this this is my little bratz poster i think there's more in here oh my god there's more in here that i did not know about this is going to be so curled up oh this is all my bratz posters guys i have not got these out in maybe 10 years i used to have them up on my oh this actually was up on my bedroom door from when i was about nine okay this was very very strange so this is a little bratz poster right but they all had different names which i found really really unusual i'm not sure if this was just like in a different country this is what their names were like nazardia zeta chloe's called elani and then yasmin was talia so i cut out their names and stuck them on here i even drew their little what their sign should be like i was guys i was so hardcore obsessed like i was i remember being so upset that these names and symbols were wrong but at least i corrected them i don't know if this was like a knockoff this is so weird right look it still says mga entertainment bratzpack.com it looks legit it's just so odd that they've got different names and different symbols like i've never ever ever seen that so here are the rest of my posters oh look how old and raggedy this is this was from one of the magazines i cut this out look wink's club on the back so here is birthday jade my first ever jade what does this say sorrel moon free so this lady i've obviously spelt it wrong but um this was the lady who did the voice for jade in the original it was in the original animated series i don't think it was the first film but i remember like memorizing all of the names of the actors and i was like oh my god these women are like gods to me i was like oh this is the real jade like that's her real name obviously like it's an actor but pampered pups chloe and look they're all like coming apart it's so sad oola paris comey she is an absolute babe like she was one of their best i might try and mend these then we have bee brats i wish that they made more of these posters i remember sometimes when a doll wouldn't come with a poster i'd be like why do they not come with a poster always like wrapped up right at the bottom of the packaging so sometimes you didn't always notice they were there so i probably ended up throwing away loads without even realizing see all these lines this is how they were like folded up when you got them in with the doll you know what i would love to have these laminated oh gosh another drawing of jade birthday i was so proud of this and i spent ages drawing her i was so proud of this come to think of it though i think i was about 14 when i drew this so i was a bit older but i was so proud of that i thought it was really good so i just realized these were actually from girl talk magazine i don't know if anyone remembers but it would i think it's still going actually and it always came with a little like prize in it or like a little present or like makeup or nail polish and i remember whenever i saw anything to do with rats i was like oh oh my god oh my god and i've obviously like taken out these pages because i thought they were just like so so important this is just an advert for the bratz forever diamonds game but i obviously like felt like it was really really important which it is of course but yeah this is a girl talk magazine sadly they didn't really sell the bratz magazine um at least they didn't where i was but i feel like in the uk it wasn't such a big thing i had literally one bratz magazine ever i don't even know what happened to it i think my mum threw it away because i literally this magazine that i had the actual bratz one was like the holy grail for me and i kept it in my bedside table for years and like one day it was just gone i don't know what happened but but yeah so cute in the next episode it's time for the big move out into my own flat i continue where i left off with the dolls organizing all of their outfits and accessories and restoring my bratz to their rightful place in my new home i'll see you in the next one bye
