Red Bull Imagination Course Reveal: Riders Take Control (2021) Ep 1

[Music] this is the most insane freeride course of all time and i can confidently say that i think that is true in and out of the dump truck [Music] so we're in the drive mode how's my hat we got where's makeup so many options so much honestly never seen anything like it will axel haunts just show up even the small stuff's big it makes me feel about this big this is free riding right here beyond my imagination man i freaking miss this place back in fort scott kansas man uh we're back for version two of red bull imagination so that's exciting no machines have touched this dirt for just shy of a year so that's always exciting to see what has happened the good thing is we have a great foundation from what we had last year and um that's obviously going to be crucial because we don't have to stack that much dirt but once we get out here the the tail of the tape is going to be what mother nature did to the course and and how much we're going to have to reshape and then add in all those new features dude it looks a lot better than what i thought it was yeah it does some vegetation on there but yeah that helped it held up look at all the steep stuff how well that held up i figured the quarter pipe would be gone i know looks like we got a golf course out there right the big booter lip still looks money think about how this was last year too like look at all this like this kind of chert rock stuff that's come out of the ground it's just it's this top angle see how if right here where they're landing wasn't so laid back we just need to put enough dirt in here that the dozer can get to the top the creativity the the free ride side that's that's where we missed our mark a little bit last year that's been the main focus and the main goal is is to make this expressive for the riders so some of the stuff that when tyler and i were here that we were talking about i mean you guys remember how the course went so tyler started doing it if you remember his last run last year where he was going sideways so that's where you know i i remember we were hitting rock in some areas but like this this whole thing is going to be called k-dubs kingdom so it's just mad transfer lines everywhere we're gonna take what we have and just create a bunch of weird shapes and mounds and just let the guys use their imagination there's zero designated lines go go put it together this is the jib section here so right here we have to figure out the wall ride option obviously this is pretty iconic to the to the whole course i've got to kind of tie into the the free ride mind of tyler we're kind of changing the vibe and the atmosphere of this thing to where it is a true free ride it's not a track these guys aren't racers so we're not trying to do a loop here we're trying to create stuff where these guys can go every which way this is badass but now i can just like you know how pumped we were at the end now i feel like this is going to look like amateur compared to what we're about to do yeah you know i mean i always got to go bigger and better oh no doubt there's tb right now yo what's up buddy baker how are we doing man tyler was here all last year and the surprise kind of got taken away uh he was obviously super excited and happy to be a part but i'm wanting to wrap this package up for him and him get the same feel that all the other riders are unfortunately i'm not on the ground floor this year with jason baker and the dream tracks crew but i am here at an undisclosed location i'm here at my imagination workstation so it's been a whole year since we've had any equipment on this when we left last year that was the last time anything equipment wise has touched this dirt course held up really well everyone's happy with it we've got some some rain ruts and some different stuff that you're going to have in a year's worth of weathering but we're in good shape [Music] this whole entire course is going to be our version of a dirt skate park basically splitting the course into three sections this is the big dog section obviously the quarter pipe's a big dog you got the tree jump you got the moon booter at the bottom and we will be adding a lot more big dogs to live in this section we need another big air distance jump the quarter pipe this year we want to make it a little more versatile last year it was kind of singular obviously with just having the ramp there i think this going over that that's going to be your big air heights jump this year we want to have multiple options for a guy that's maybe not comfortable hitting a quarter having different pieces of it that you know he can hip across it and cut some super steep lips and maybe go up and over the top and then we'll move over to this k-dubs kingdom this is basically leaving this up to jason in his imagination we have so much dirt over here we're going to pile up different fingers and different little channels and it's basically going to more or less look like a dirt skate park [Music] you know when they go play it's just going to be a big jam session a bunch of bunch of dudes out having fun just like they are out in the hills hey follow me off this or hey i you know i hide this one up over here [Music] the goal is to have more jumps and features than a guy could hit in a five minute run and that's where the creativity the imagination right [Music] we got this front section that was basically unused last year we're going to put a wall right in there a free like an over under fun box and then the container will live here and this will basically be our jib style inspired section i look for this area to take on the most drastic change have a wall ride in here this year try to do some fun creative stuff with the container box that we have a couple other surprises that we may throw in there as well you know it's a free ride course and being able to free build with that as we're building a landing we're seeing like okay not only can we go this way we can go this way with it and let's put a lip over here so that's where that that expressive freedom comes in and and that for me that's that's my happy place when i'm just cutting and stacking and stuff's popping out at us you know when your van's in the shop and it's like some of your you don't realize some of the stuff that's not that important or you think it isn't important and then it really is see that oh if it falls over who cares at this point right i hope it's cooler in kansas dang it's sweet when that's all i have to load oh we're in the drive mode how's my hat we got where's makeup i've been sweating man we're driving down to the old uh warehouse yeah heading down to where all all the boys are tyler and rob's shop loading up all the bikes to send out to kansas a little nervous because i know the jumps and stuff it's good it's going to be pretty gnarly i think if i if i didn't dislocate my shoulder i'd feel pretty good about it because i know some of the big jumps that were scary are similar this year holy crap where do you even start i don't even know where's the warm-up jumps serious crazy dude we got ride ride around in this dodge man right this thing's a dodge isn't it look at this person i you know if i didn't see social media i wouldn't know where you were these days i need a big ah i mean i haven't seen i'm just i'm still kind of blown away tom p showed up on time he's not even the last person here wow all right i didn't i didn't say you were like completely changed i was just like trying to give you some props for being somewhat time scheduled i like it well if you want the truth steve told me originally to have it here by noon yesterday yesterday today at noon survival yeah yeah that's pretty much what imagination turns into just pure survival actually after last year pretty much that is what it ended up being with survival is there another cowie in there is axel's bike in there oh yeah no is he coming absolute bike's still getting built is he coming he's supposedly who wants to know do you want to know do they want to know i think everybody's gonna say that you know i think everybody wants to know will axel hodge show up we are officially here at red bull imagination 2.0 couldn't be more hyped i haven't been here on the on the ground the whole time but i'm stoked to get here unwrap this present and uh show my homies what we've been up [Music] to i don't even know what to expect to be honest with you i already went to walmart got my diapers i'm already wearing them because i know walking around is probably going to be pretty scary [Music] are you kidding me dude wow [Music] you're kidding me this isn't a video game this is real i've never i've never honestly never seen anything like it it's it's uh it makes me feel about this big [Music] and everyone that rides a motorcycle knows it all changes once you put the helmet on but i don't know how much that's going to change at this course because it just is everything is so massive [Music] i have a flight tomorrow in the morning so i got i got a couple other business things to take care of so i'll come back at the end of the week and see how it's going [Applause] this is pretty nuts dude this is honestly this is i think when tyler was originally thinking k-dub section kind of on steroids like this was what he was thinking jason just took it to the next level that's this is this is like x-fighter's glen helen basically when you see the baddest dudes say that they've never seen anything like this [Music] of the dump is yeah are you kidding me that's funny dude dude i didn't even see the dumpster that is sick that's like the old terra firma dude are you kidding me that's so sick so many options so much potential this is free riding right here this is the most insane free ride course of all time and i can confidently say that i think that is true looks way smaller way small this it's doable from up here finger dirty yeah [Applause] even the small stuff's big putting this thing together it takes a lot of stuff i mean we had 11 pieces of heavy iron out here being able to move material around this is easily a 100 000 yard project which you know for people that go to say a supercross race that's 5 000 yards so this you could build 20 supercrosstracks safe to say this might be some of the sickest motor content to ever be produced so with the sickest lineup of riders so stoked imagination 2.0 beyond it beyond my imagination [Applause] man i've missed this place man just getting to ride my imagination again and top it again this guy's the limit creativity is uh is key and there's a lot of it out there and there's a lot more on the table [Music] it's just a tad bit slower because it's compacted so much it's good
