REBUILDING A WRECKED MERCEDES S65 AMG PART 1

[Music] um what's up lnt fam welcome back to another video and look what i got behind me i got a 2016 mercedes s65 amg in for some bodywork left side damage so let's go take a closer look and what's going on with the car check it out it looks pretty nasty but hopefully it's all cosmetics so obviously the fender got damaged the bumper the headlight the hood grille probably reinforcement and bunch of other little plastic pieces so we won't know anything until i start taking it apart pull the car inside right now and start taking everything apart and we'll go from there and also if you guys [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so [Music] the parts finally for the mercedes s-class so we're just going to go through the whole list make sure everything is here and we order everything from local dealer laguna gel mercedes so everything's going to get replaced on this beauty so let's take a closer look at what we got so we got a bunch of little pieces bracket more grills bunch of plastics new fender new headlight headlight was expensive huh how much was the headlight 4 000 guys for this headlight can you believe that uh those new fender new reinforcement new hood and this is probably a new bumper so we'll open everything up right now both check make sure everything is good if it is we'll write the check and we'll start repairing the mercedes [Music] i just pulled the car inside and i noticed some coolant leak so either the radiators buster it's something else but there is a coolant leak so something's leaking somewhere so we have to take everything apart and find a leak so let the fun begin how they say [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] just took everything apart and it looks like we got more damages and let's take a look so it looks like the radiator got damaged as well there's a crack over there um not sure about the condenser so i'm gonna remove all this so we have a good nice clear picture of what's going on up here but yeah so far this is what it looks like i gotta remove this new uh bracket as well you gotta remove the fender gotta remove the rocker molding we'll start removing the bracket fender and the rocker let's do it let's do it [Music] [Applause] so just remove the headlight bracket so we could see more what's going on as i was like saying right there it's busted the radiators busted other and down looks pretty good we've got a new reinforcement what else so far so good so pretty much most of it cosmetic damage pretty much lego puzzle that's exactly what you could call this take everything apart and put everything back together and we're a okay so we'll continue removing the fender and in order to get to the fender once again you got to remove the side skirt let me show you exactly what i'm talking about so yeah there are screws up here and then there's screws right here at the bottom and then most likely there is either one or two screws right here so in order to remove the fender you got to remove the side skirts just removed the rocker and like i was saying there's hidden screws let me show you guys so when you open the door you can see one two and then one two at the bottom and one two three four on top and the fender comes off nice and easy but those are the steps you gotta go through in order to remove the fender [Music] that's it just tripped everything down so now we wait for the insurance adjuster to come out approve everything whatever needs to be changed we'll order new parts and we'll start putting the car back together pretty simple all cosmetic no frame damage nothing you're gonna need a new bracket and then up here everything seems to be okay just the radiators busted this is smashed but other than that looking good thunder came off no problem nothing up here everything is nice and clean for now we wait till the adjuster comes out gives us the green light to order all the parts and start working on it that's the little process we gotta go through when the car is going through insurance we mark where needs to be replaced and then adjuster comes out she's gonna look at all the damaged parts he's gonna take pictures and then gives us green light and we'll start ordering new parts we finally got approved on the mercedes i already changed the hood so i put a new hood right here right now we'll jump on the door remove everything and we'll go from there [Music] so [Music] just took the door apart completely so we're done with the door let's check it out in order to remove the mirror you got to remove the door panel to get to the boats so we're all done with that just got a package from mercedes dealership new radiator and a reinforcement bar so yeah i got a new reinforcement bar and new radiator so we could replace that real quick right now i don't know it's gonna be real quick but should be fun once we're done with the radiator i'll throw the fender and then we'll paint the car and it's good to go man i'm looking at this stuff and it's like where do i start oh boy so many screws so many pieces somebody has to do it so let's do it let's do it so i'll probably start by removing this reinforcement and then yeah so we'll see we'll see but i gotta start with the reinforcement that's for sure and then i gotta get to this uh rail and the screws are right here so that means i got to remove this compressor oh boy yeah a lot of stuff this is a kind of a job where you gotta prepare your mind and your hands just jump in knock it out and we're done let's do this let's do this let's go [Music] [Music] [Music] little progress report man a lot of work to get to that radiator so right now we gotta remove the condenser so we got the ac machine recovering the freon pretty much i got to get to this radiator and it's in between so i'm going to disconnect the ac pretty much everything i'm going to have to remove this unit completely off and then replace it i was trying to just free the radiator but i don't think that's gonna happen too much stuff just holding the radiator i had to remove this cover as well oh boy yep a lot of fun a lot of fun [Music] so [Music] man we finally removed it it was a lot of work to get to the radiator let's take a look check it out so yeah i had to remove pretty much everything just to get to that radiator and here's the new one so we're gonna switch it out and start putting everything back together even broke a sweat [Music] [Music] just installed the radiators back man it was a it was a tough job not going away not good like so we're almost done let's take a look so right now i gotta put one of the new uh reinforcement bars put the reinforcement put everything back together [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] that is it my friends five hours later and we're done change the radiators just added some coolant so we're good to go and we got the mercedes benz coolant so that is all good so next i gotta install the fender and we're pretty much ready for paint [Music] that is it my friends we're ready for paint just installed the fender gaps are looking perfect just the way i like it so i'll give it to andre he's going to start prepping and painting and i'll show you guys the whole painting process as well and this is a pearl white so three stage so we'll show you what you gotta do to make this paint hundred percent perfect that's it guys we'll end the video here stay tuned for part two
