Rebuilding A Wrecked Honda S2000 Part 11

all right so the Corona and lime time green mean machine is coming together ain't what is up guys welcome back to the channel today we are finally back on our Honda s2000 and as you know we get this thing a fresh new paint job so we let it cure for about a week and now it is finally time to start piecing this thing back together and we're gonna start the hardest thing and that is a soft top and then we're gonna work our way out to the exterior because we want to get this thing 100% put back together that way we can get to our awesome mods that's gonna improve the look of this thing and maybe even give it a little bit more performance as well so we do got a good bit of work on our hands let's just go ahead and grab some tools and get straight to work [Music] all right so we finally got this stuff 100% back together it was a lot harder than it was to taking this thing apart I don't know how they do it at the factory they may have like little people crawling in there because when that top is down it is so difficult to get to those bolts but we managed to do so now what we're gonna do is actually move on to these door panels knock them out real quick should be fairly simple and there's a few seals as well and actually the mirror so we can finally throw on our painted mirrors they ain't got to sit there no more and then once we get the interior knocked out what do you want to do move on to the jaw move on to the trunk there's a good bit of trim pieces that we got to finish up in here and end up like the LEAs lines myself might as well just go ahead and actually throw on the tell youtell line Nutella you might seem like one of the previous episodes we did drop those taillights because there was already a hairline crack in one of them and these are fairly cheap so we did already yeah we've got some new ones they actually had like condensation built up in tons of water and so we just got a brand new pair it's gonna look fresh back here and also we can just go ahead and finish up like the antenna and stuff like that so let's just go ahead keep moving try to knock out the rest of this entire interior [Music] dang-son dude that is freaking clean yeah dude brand-new taillights make a huge difference and we did notice something about these taillights these are actually better than the stock ones we thought we just ordered replacements but on the stock ones this is the only thing that's actually LEDs but on this one everything is in there so that's basically gonna make it look a lot better when you turn on your turn signal or you do your reverse light it's gonna be a lot brighter but that's all we're gonna do for tonight we did a lot of work we've got an early start like always we're gonna have to catch you guys in the morning all right so it is the next day here before we move on to the front end we're gonna show you guys how these LED tail lights work they're pretty sick so let me go ahead yeah just to hit the key and a lot of Sun do way better than the original dude all LED you ain't got worried about changing bulbs or anything in there a lot brighter but exactly their original taillights were actually halogens which were very dim and they kind of sucked but now let's go ahead and finish off this rear in with putting on this antenna and then we're gonna put on the headlights and all that good stuff up front [Music] all right so the Corona and lime time green mean machine is coming together ain't she's looking good we already installed these lower things these are like air ducts whatever guys got a little grill for this prompt bumper these are all om parts looks really good but right now what do you want to do man this one's kind of looking a little bit hazy a little hazy a little crusty no that's like a long I mean there is a few little like imperfection spots but we're gonna see actually what the buffer can do honestly we're gonna go ahead and sand these down probably with like a 2000 2500 in a 3000 because these have seen their good fair share of live road debris and stuff like that and from the Sun this one actually looks a lot better than that one yes we kind of want to match that one up to this one that way they look brand-new but just try to go ahead paper tape around them and try to bust them out let's do it [Music] [Music] all right so we went ahead and popped on the bumper and check out those headlights they are definitely nice and crisp now nice and clear dude they definitely goes down way better this one has a little bit more than that headlight like I don't know what that is is only like one line of cracking which is pretty crazy I think whatever they put on these headlights the Sun actually baked and crack them but we got it as best as possible and they actually look match yeah overall dude they look sick a lot better than they did before in this entire front end it's starting to look like the grille on there and everything else like all the plastic pieces they all flow nicely dude it looks good looks good I can't wait to throw in that lip but we first got to paint it so we're gonna say that for probably later as there right now let's start removing these wheels because we're not gonna need those anymore you're not gonna need those definitely do these things I mean at first I kind of like these you know they're black I kind of wanted to keep them but then again with this new paint job with them wheels there are there are doing that yeah exactly we're gonna do the new invisible wheel selection that we found but before we do the wheels we're gonna do something else try and do something else behind the wheel but we still want to go ahead and remove these things go ahead remove all out the way and then bring in the new wheels and show them what we got yes sir [Music] all right so we had to come back here to our very very second parts s2000 that we for very first part since 2000 we bought actually Raya yep our first one and we've got some good parts here we got an inner fender right there y'all need some inner fenders a few little knickknacks maybe a Honda emblem maybe even this little wing right here kind of like that wing right there good looks pretty dang clean what do you think color matching it green or actually going black I would not know that'd be something that they have to tell us let us know guys what you do we even use a wing on this thing it looks pretty clean I do this hardtop would have been sick but you know what RAC top all the way that's what s2000s are for you can just drop it down I mean I get this if it's wintertime because it's you know I guess it keeps it a lot warmer in your car and then find that what do we got here I'm trying to forget about this thing about this thing that got punched like that this is like where the seat should be on this car and it is gone but yeah we got some parts in here let's ground one inner fender need to find the other one real quick and then we're gonna head back and continue piecing it together right any finger bolts or something like that this might be the front a bumper bolts what does that look like you know green dude but look at this big ol axle we got here maybe we should do an extra small straight to my throttle let's grab what we need and we'll get right back to it [Music] all right so here it goes we put on one inner fender we couldn't find the other one so we're just gonna hold off on that but dude I'm super excited to see these wheels man change the whole look of this car man we did buy these off of ebay sand they're not super expensive but they're still worth that oh yeah we've got a pretty good deal on these open this is the moment of truth right here this thing's kind of like all there maybe we should have showed them the thing is we did go with like the gold boats because this car does have a little bit of gold metallics in it right the gold flakes and the paint in the the way the Sun hits it you will see some gold in there so we wanted to go with something else that will offset it and this will this actually would look really good of course black always looks good almost on any car any car black goes with anything but on this green I think it's gonna go a lot better do yes sir so let's go ahead probably uh open up or should we open up all of them or should we go searching for some tires cuz we need some tires today I want to get these on today yeah we actually got a look up what size we can run on here and actually see what somebody has locally because we want some tires on this like you said today and I think the rears are a little bit more offset right yeah they should be a little bit wider than the front and it's just gonna look sick dude so let's go ahead do some research see what we can come up with and go to a tire shop so you can get some tires [Music] I said before we actually do anything we did throw these wheels on the car just to kind of see how wide we are and we are pretty wide as you can tell sticking out about two fingers right there but whenever we lower the car because we kind of got afraid we're like dangers that are they too wide well we measured our original wheels that came off of this car they're actually the same width it's just when the car goes lower they actually got camber in a little bit I was thinking about where we're just gonna have to throw some just crazy camera this thing to make me sit because I do not want to return these wheels I mean we can do some camber camber is always good but nothing too insane just find that super flush and we'll tuck up in there nicely but we do have adjustable coil over so if that comes the case we can adjust them but right now we're probably gonna get some tires that kind of like stretch in a little bit nothing like to like flush like this and want them a little bit angled nothing like this right here this is a perfect example right there but look at these tires you could tell there was our racing camber on here it was eaten away but you look that's as part of this part of a part of this life right part of this s2k life man but anyway let's go ahead and actually run around see if we can find any tire [Music] all right so first off right here is a tire shop dude they got great prices and they got almost everything in stock their tire in stock if not ill coming like an hour or two so if we can't find that in here there's other few other joints that we know so let's try to get some tires here so we can get them installed those do it alright so we just got our tires in we had to wait like fifteen to twenty minutes for them to pull them out the warehouse so they're here you got two right yeah we'll only got two front ones these are just some cheap tires that were in stock I mean you know what brand they are some Chinese brand but they should do just fine so what we're gonna do is actually go ahead and mount these and balance him on the front and then we're gonna go pick up the rears a little bit later they should be hearing around an hour or so so let's just go ahead and mount the front ones and then we'll go pick up our rear one [Music] [Applause] check this out we finally got all four wheels and tires balanced in the process we had to go pick up the more from a different facility right yep we picked up these they actually took an hour to get here but they are it looks good under the wheels dude hopefully they clear the quarter panels on the rear and on the front as well so they just head back to the house and see if they fit all right so we are back we're ready to throw these wheels on even our spotter friend has been hanging around with us this whole entire time so let's go ahead and throw these circuits on man I can't wait to lower the car and see what it looks like the only thing that I don't like about it right now is actually these brakes right here which look horrible it's like somebody tried painting them red and they didn't work out too well so we're definitely gonna take care of that one way or the other I don't know maybe paying him or even do a brake upgrade what do you think I would like to do some kind of big breaks over here I don't know how well dough work out maybe we can look something up throw something on here and make this thing look sick because the wheels look good the rotors or the CalPERS have to look good as well those are a little bit rusty maybe some drilled and slotted in the feature bags right now I mean just do some hard stopping and we'll get yeah we'll get rid of that there yeah definitely but let's go ahead oh these beautiful wheels on lower the car and see what it looks like [Music] all right so it is finally time we got all four wheels on there and it kind of looks wide but I'm hoping that it kind of cooks as we go down so you got to be real careful here dude fingers crossed man everything goes down smoothly the rear is kind of sticking out so I don't know but let's go ahead and lower this sucker it looks six though gotta say no wheels are on point overall everything looks good these are a teams of arts of seven teams as the previous weíll go ahead ready I'm ready good definitely uh probably gonna have to lower the car would if you like it then we'll just leave it that way we don't have to yeah just do that it's sick actually did look man I don't know we could go lower but we just have to test it out you know if you're dang good dude looks pretty good let me scoot back a little bit see what it looks like overalls dang dude this thing is starting to look sick but what are we gonna do next we could either paint that lip and throw it on I really want to see what that lips looks like or we can take care of these calipers pertaining no I don't think we're gonna paint him dude I think we should do something better than that maybe well we got something planned for that maybe we don't maybe we can jump into the interior and do something with our steering wheel here let's go ahead and unpackage that new package that we got for this thing show them what we gots do it check this out guys we got a custom steering wheel here for rs2000 this is from aza Auto wheel let's go ahead and crack this sucker open and see what it looks like [Applause] check that out guys oh good nice and grippy with the red that's legit it feels a lot more beefier and you got the Alcantara here you got the red stitching and this is leather as well doing it I love how how grippy it is oh yeah that's like designed for racing right there and look at that one of the original s 2001 just looks compared to that this is definitely gonna pop in there and the thing is with this steering wheel is you use your original airbag exactly original airbag is gonna pop right in there and also it is handmade with love by Aza Auto wheel as you can tell here so definitely check them out they got some pretty sick stuff there's all their information they got steering wheels for almost any vehicle and you can customize it from A to Z so definitely we're gonna throw this on here see what it looks like with everything completed [Music] alright so we just showed you how to break a clock spring I mean I just yanked this sucker and then just broke right off I should have did some research but I just wanted to see if that just the way how it comes off man it was tight on there man times that's just how we learned honestly break some things but honestly we should have just googled it yeah I should have just unplugged this one and sealed this all through but you knows all there so taught can't really see anything but I guess you gotta take or you don't even have to take this off now we have to take it off and replace it yeah hey we figured out how these suckers working on ever knew it was just on Steam yeah it looks like four or five wires that are just wound up so every time you turn you know you got your steering wheel power or horn power but anyways let's just go ahead and pull some parts off of our parts s2000 and swap this clock spring [Music] [Music] all right so that steer wheel is finally installed it looks absolutely amazing everything works all the buttons horn all that good stuff but I can't wait to actually use this steering wheel do some donuts do some ripping in that thing but as of right now we're done with the interior we're gonna move on to some of the exterior parts here and as you can tell we never live in this spoiler that we sold from the parts car I think we're gonna go black with him and then we're not gonna paint him like we usually do because that's gonna take forever to cure so we decided to actually wrap them you know we picked up on that skill recently so yeah definitely I think may handle these little little piece little bitty little pieces but yeah definitely do let's go ahead and actually prep this one that this one is actually the worst I don't even know what this is it looks like the paint is peeling I don't know it's made out of some kind of fiberglass already bark right there I don't know but definitely these things got to be black because as you can tell there's a lot of green going on here I don't think it'll just offset everything you know yeah they look really good black up there and on the back as well some black on the front in the back because the wheels are black and looks really good so let's go ahead get him prepped and just try to wrap them black [Music] [Music] alright guys check this out we've got this sucker rat but this sucker is a 10-footer you got to stay about ten feet and it looks absolutely amazing I think the black looks really good but once you get closer over here you start noticing a bunch of stuff man I'm gonna say rapping he's just not our thing man we tried it so much times this was kind of a technical piece because it was not on the car so it's kind of moving around everywhere and this I tell you what whenever we first rapped it this was nice and straight then all of a sudden out of nowhere like crickets this stuff bubble started coming up everywhere easy man sucks man at least we got an idea now of what it would look like black let us know what you guys think I really think that looks good walk from the back over there or something like that the lip actually like goes oh man actually looks really good and especially what the wheels right here and stuff like that all this just flows but I guess what we're gonna do is probably paint it I think the finish is gonna look a lot better too plus we can buff it please get it just like part of it not just like the high gloss paint in the wheels you know just might as well match it also it is super late on this so we're gonna have to probably paint this bright and early in the morning alright so it is the next day here and as you can tell we temporarily threw on that front lip and it looks pretty damn good but it definitely does need to get painted high gloss black but we're gonna say that for the next video where we try to get this thing
