RAGGED RAGS! CRAZY SYNERGIES! :: Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mod Spotlights

heyyo hello everybody welcome back to the binding of issac mind spotlights today we're looking at ragged rags which is actually one of the older mods on the workshop but I had some problems with the crashing my game a long time ago so I figured I would just never play it but we do have it working now it's a mod by skies and Ashgate you know it's going to be good and it's just a very unique tear effect so you know how we do must random ourselves up here and we'll get this bad boy spawned in Judas run okay I can get down to Judas run honestly juice is a fine character we should be able to do a quick little spawn 5:30 and there he is ragged rags telepathic tears and knock back up so when we fire is going to fire them in front of us and then we kind of just like move that all around like analog stick and this is how we deal our damage so it's kind of unique it mean is definitely unique and they literally will stay like that I'm pressing it and then I'm letting go and they just continue to everywhere I move they're attached I don't have my shooting fingers on right now anyway here's to CZ r 4 h g8 to f0 let's deal some damage using this it's a very very odd mod it's like Trail of Tears but completely reversed and I'm excited to see if there's any unique and fun synergies with this and I'm going to tell you right now I'm sure there is because it's Kay's - Kate we're talking about here I and those to continually make mods to just know what they're doing now the poop is not at all in the slightest anything I want here and I'm not even going to count that as picking up an item in our item room I kind of forgot that I did that rule and I'm not having to be that since I picked up the poop and crapped on the ground you know that's my that's my time I can't take my second floor item room and if you have no idea what I'm talking about eventually I'm just going to stop saying this but when I do mod spotlights I only take either the first or the second floor item room since we spawn in an item to start usually unless it's a character in which case we don't do that but it just makes it a little bit more fair I think that is a good thing now let's talk things we want to get on this run okay I mean we'll take them both cord for now but it is not exactly good I would really really love to get a tears upgrade and see if one it makes these come out faster haha that's what she said or two if it makes them if it makes their be more on the fact that we're fighting Ragman here just is cherry on top of the sundae right now but give me a tears upgrade and then give me a damage upgrade that is just an HP upgrade which we do not need I do want to continue to look on this floor though for a bomb just because we have a lot of tinted rocks and stone chests and crap that we can bomb so we can swing getting a bow on this floor obviously we're going to have the utmost benefit for our run that is the key so never mind I guess we'll just be heading down enjoying our day hoping to get a deal with the devil on the next floor even though we are sitting without a spear at heart going on in this next floor it and frankly this item.i makes it where we likely will get hit more than we want to because we have to get relatively close to our enemies in order to deal any damage which I'm not necessarily a huge fan of but it does make the run interesting and it adds a little bit of a challenge to it so I'm pretty okay with it what do we got from our item room something good I mean it is okay because it does give us some spirit heart protection which to me guarantees that we will get our deal with the devil and I mean that makes me relatively happy in the grand scheme of things here but I can't deny I want to see some damage on this round I want to see what it looks like to get you know soymilk with this and we will obviously test a bunch of synergies at the end as we normally do just to see what we may have missed on the run and what makes this item phenomenal but if you can give me brimstone mom's knife you know that's touch like that from our deal with the Devils that'd be fantastic here's the tears up so let's see what this bad boy does okay yeah it just makes them come out faster doesn't add more tears just makes them come out faster that's fine I don't really want the void I'm gonna be honest with you so we're just going to go down I feel a little bit like wrong doing that but there's not much else to milk on that floor I don't think and catacombs Excel will allow us to get ourselves some beautiful double item room action it does make it a less chance to get the old devil and we already actually found our boss fight here which I'm going to be honest with you I don't really want to go to it yet I mean maybe fight the first boss but I would like to go to our shop and like blow up a shopkeeper or something like that to try to get a better deal to devil chance that's the only problem with a cave / catacombs XL floor now getting the Fallen here is actually very beautiful especially if he gives me some kind of value items if you want to give me a guppy item and there's not going to be any synergies there but I wouldn't mind being guppy on this one and say give me Abaddon which is actually like freakishly good for us gives me a nice damage upgrade it's going to make using a book of Belial even more powerful now but if these kind of enemies in here you know these guys that are going to explode if we get close to them there are real dangerous enemy for us and I like that about this item so far because it really does make me think a little bit more while playing and maybe some people are going to be like you know this is exactly why I don't think I would like this mod now I like being able to just shoot my tears I don't like things like you know anti grab and tiny planet where I got to think about where I'm shooting but in my opinion this is one of those items that you know I can see this I don't think it'll be added to a booster simply because if it hasn't yet it probably won't ah but it is an item similar you know tiny planet anti grab there is a bunch of synergies where this is really really good but there's also like just it on its own might be not everybody's cup of tea per se now in my opinion I feel like this is an item that right now I'm intrigued with later on I would be like yeah I actually think ragged rags is pretty bad so I don't know I mean I got to play with it more and see how I feel in the future about it I would love to know if there's a way to get more than 5 shots coming out of you because I think that could be a huge deal breaker if you got like 10 shots firing out and you're hitting things uh windows snake style across the screen I think that's pretty dope but I don't know I'm trying to try to think of other synergies that would make this item better than how it already is you know Ludo is intriguing me I feel like there wouldn't be a synergy for Ludo but maybe there would be one pill that pill is a bad trip I mean that's just like slap me in the face kind of stuff like right there uh what about a secret room I have no idea where the hell it could even be on this floor there's about nine thousand opportunities for one so I think the best bet is to just pretend there isn't one and call it a day I'm mainly just looking for the other item room in the shop before we go fight our boss oh here and obviously book of Belial is going to give us a tiny better chance as the old devil but I mean we can see it in the bottom left thirty-six is not exactly killing it in the department here common cold is good for the poison but we still need a bit more than that for me to be happy I think he takes the card cards Ace of Hearts I mean honestly that's horrible you just go we're moving quickly on this run and I don't mean to I mean we will check the closet I said we're going to check the closet and then there's just piece of poop in the closet which in any other realm of the imagination would not be a good thing to find in your closet but for us it's just you know common uh common stuff how about Segal room right here yeah okay works for me some money some pills bad gasp and gulp which swallowed in biblical cord which is not exactly a fantastic trinket but there is something sure well let's just head to our boss oh my god the teleporting needs to stop man we can try to swing boss rush on this run since we have copious amounts of time I mean we're going to be basically getting the boss rush by 15 minutes if not way earlier which is slightly ridiculous in all honesty and of course not to run like this we fight rag man and mega rag man just seems like it's only fair you know we get blood clot is that going to make like every other tier have extra damage I have no idea all I know is we did not get a deal with the devil but we did one hundred percent chance of one on this floor so it's hard for me to complain we'll take these card is two hearts which is about as useful as ace of hearts and you know what we'll pop a book of B Lyle here and it was actually kind of cool some of the - yeah you know what blood clot is totally working because some of these tears are larger than the other ones so that's actually like kind of cool is all I'm going to say I was hoping for maybe a spirit heart black card I bet I will check this just because we have a guppy item and I'd say that's worth it by every stretch of the imagination gets me a year and we could have popped the era on those things but we might as well save it for the chest at this point there's no reason to get too crazy here this will work out just okay I'm still looking for some kind of fun synergy from the item room I would like to find some synergies before the end of the video where I go and just test all of them but I have a feeling we may get a brimstone or mom's knife from the deal with bevel here and that's going to show us everything we need to see please give me one penny out of one of these guys you got to actually be kidding me okay thank you Bob for flying out to the middle of nowhere hell up the fires one penny yeah there we go okay we're going to buy coupon now we're going to hope this gets the map give me a red heart I mean that's actually like the exact opposite of what we needed I think you stick with coupon though and I'm sad to see bookable I'll go but we don't need it on this run now our damage is good enough right now and coupon is unique and a pretty good item we can steal some deals with the devil since we don't exactly have the HP to take them right now and I think we can swing doing some pretty fun stuff with coupon so we're going to roll with that for now I mean this room this is one of those ones where ragged rags is not the ideal item to have but that's okay I have a feeling we have to backtrack to find our item room which I'm not thrilled about by any stretch of the imagination but if we have to do what we have to do it we have so much time that even if boss rush was the end-all be-all on this run which I'll be honest with you it really really isn't going to boss rush is probably not going to change the outcome of this run whatsoever but if it did I we're still isn't clear to do so there's no way the rest of this run takes this long I will say this is the longest single route without any like crossroads ever in terms of a route to the boss fight here I wonder what spoon bender does you know what I'm gonna like take time every time I think of sorry for all the noise every time I think oh my god I didn't realize I've stepped into a room with enemies my bad every time I think of an item that I want to see what it does at the end I'm gonna write it down so spoon bender ludo brimstone mom knife I want to check out Tec Tec 2x best touch aah anti-gravity all kinds of stuff man that's good let's go fight the boss sister this should not be a problem these guys are relatively stationary which is kind of the key thing you want with ragged rags and then we just really want ah Oh Lord I was almost sketchy we really want a good deal with the devil that we can pop coupon on steal something have a good day some HP is also fine and the nail is good so you know what here's what you do you take a theme you coupon the nail you use the nail I'm gonna I think you stick with coupon and some people are going to disagree with this play ah but the nail is really good it's a fine item I'd be happy to have it for the rest of my life but I think coupon offers just more weird on our run and I think I can get down with just more weird on our run please be a seeker now maybe those a little short-sighted honestly if we find some battery charges we can get coupon charged up and start buying all the crap from the shop which is fine and then we actually end up saving a key because the curse is the I hate myself and then you give me the D for this is actually exactly what I want so pop it and then I'm going to give myself back ragged rags ok and ok we have 7 shots right now so that definitely is the thing at this point you've got to stick with the d4 and every time we re-roll we'll just give ourselves ragged rags and that will allow us to see some of these cool synergies does that sound good to you guys if it does and too freaking bad because what we're doing and you really don't get a say in it whatsoever so thanks and tongue for trying to care but in the end your opinion means nothing to me I'm kidding guys your opinion is as beautiful as life itself sometimes usually not but sometimes let's get the hell out of here I don't know what we have that is giving us more shots maybe it's just like a monster tears upgrade because binky is pretty good then we got the pact and now our tears that is real nice so maybe that's doing it but it's hard to really tell it's also hard to see any spiders in this room so thank god that's over we got full HP and this reroll is good but it's not anything that makes me thrilled about our future with ragged rag raggedy rag rag rag so I want to test new stuff I do want to see absolutely what this does and it does fire out little tiny floating nails in front of me yeah I mean that that's a ideal thing in my opinion I think that's pretty beautiful anybody that disagrees it's just line in themselves I'm going to looking for a card preferably to teleport me out of the land that we know is boss rush but apparently that is too much to ask for shop contains a real machine but literally nothing else of value let's reroll ourselves I see a 20/20 this is going to be unique give item I mean I can just press up it's so horrible it's amazing but it's so horrible okay I mean yeah this is this is exactly what you don't want okay soy milk not what you need we've learned I mean it's all worth the experience it's worth it's worth it to look at this and go you know I'm really glad that we didn't take soy milk on our own and then not get okay yep is bank-shot oh this is gonna get weird I gave myself ragged rags so dr. fetus ragged rags does nothing this is what you're telling me I respect it I'm not in love with it but I respect it I'm not positive how you would actually do that where it was good like not overriding it cuz foot putting five bombs in front of you that seems like a dangerous idea honestly I mean I would do it but I don't think that's the best idea for a release not on the workshop I want to get rid of this as soon as possible though because this is real not great and I will go oh that was the key that gave me a charge okay deck X I'm intrigued what do you do you don't do anything okay it's fair enough I mean sometimes it's not going to do things that's okay I will use text to clear out mom nice and quickly here take our pool all right take our dealio with the wo you know what we'll take it all we're going to be reeling and getting HP anyway so take the damage while you got it come in here magic masha is probably your best opportunity here and then we'll just reroll as soon as we get the opportunity to I just got to remember to continue to add ragged rags to everything we do as I'm starting to get carried away and I got to still remember that hey Tyler you're doing a mod spotlight and you're actually like you know you're seeing what ragged rags does not what the d4 does ok reroll strange attractors this seems like this is going to be a hell synergy but tech zero with it yo and do we also have epic AK or something no we have fire - yeah we have fire mind no I'm I'm way okay with this one this is almost good enough for me to keep this for the entire run because the damage on this is so good and its unique as utilizing other modded items in tech zero time then this is a gun kind of synergy ain't it I am quite the large fan honestly also had no idea that tech zero affected our familiars but uh the little dishes shots are definitely being affected by this and we get the wafer I think we're going to roll with this will do one reroll per floor and we do have another breakfast mod on so we'll continue to get weird synergies each time we reroll but I think this one's at least worth seeing I mean if we're glitter ating everything and how many shots do we actually have it looks like six and I believe that's probably being caused by like triple shot or conjoined or something like that ah so I suppose we can get the extra shots by having you know the extra shot items I mean that makes logical sense don't it I'm so okay with this one though it's a pretty fun time it's just a tech zero going in between all them such a cool synergy the stars the Sun I mean just pop it we're real close to the boss fight anyway and we'll reroll uh if we get a deal with the devil which is incredibly unlikely we'll reroll before it if not we'll reroll after it death I'm sorry that you had to experience this pain we actually had a 0% chance to deal with the devil that's impressive honestly okay ah take this reroll if a CAC sounds dangerous to me an adding ragged rags actually did nothing so apparently technology + ragged rags is a no-no not sure how they would do that anyway so that's okay well reroll this as soon as possible even though tech to ipecac is a really freakin good synergy many of you know this we got 42 damage right now with our tech two laser that's pretty good but say goodbye to it because we have other agendas to do I don't know what this is but I love it we got ourselves like I don't even know what 12 shot would be how many tears are we actually firing out we get up to like I double 9s we get up to an 18 shot octagon a shot is that the best way to say it I have no idea oh we got like fruit cake or some weird garbage going on $3 bill maybe it's funky I'll tell you that I'm quite a large fan though this is going to cut out us singly testing synergies at the end of this video though because you're about to see aah pretty much all of them in action by the end of this which is fine by me get rekt I love we swing this thing like a hammer once we get it fully charged up and that's pretty sick are we going to do hush on this run in man that that's a good question I feel like that's a borderline death sentence so we'll go down and try a but I might oh yeah give me that beautiful death touch we may go down and try but if we find that like this was a really bad idea we may teleport out just to save this run I I think the hush is definitely not an option with ragged rags but you gotta at least see it right like we're doing a stupid amount of damage and I know we're not going to do as good damage on the hush flight but it would still be on something I'm sure go please thank you and then mom get okay I don't know what even happened right there but I'll accept it sure let's go through the Haas fight no way this can end poorly right and we'll figure out where we re rule because we are going to real I don't know what yet I'm both of those suck and full spoon bender okay we got to try so come in here take Leo break all these to get your possible crawlspace and then come into this room and take all these and bye take all these I mean step on all the rocks try and get your crawlspace then we going to re-roll okay and that gave me monstros lung plus something else so give me ragged rags here and sadly this does nothing so let's check the shop see if there's a charge in there if there's not we're going to give ourselves one there is beautiful reload it's another technology which tells me we're going to have a problem with stuff here okay a debug eight is infinite item charges reroll once more give ragged rags still nothing reroll once more give ragged rags okay yeah does this work debug eight to turn that off don't mind me in debug menu no big deal we will take ourselves spoon bender and this seems like something that is very strange it seems like maybe proptosis is doing this I don't see proptosis I see Eaton's blessing which may or may not be a blessing in disguise in all honesty the Bible is I mean chance a bookworm I suppose chance with Bob transformation sure then you stick with b4 though I will take deep pockets that will donate for sense why not no big deal let's do this thing there's only like a nine hundred percent chance of defending Corley okay I don't know what's going on I seem to be like firing shots it's like that eye or something going we're actually demolishing hush I don't understand this synergy if anybody has the slightest clue of what is actually going on on my screen if you want to let me know I mean part of the thing is we have a hundred and thirteen damage which is definitely up there in terms of good I'd say I have a feeling tech point five is what it's doing the most of our damage but Jesus lordy you can't argue with 1:13 we could go fight delirium on this one because I actually feel like we would probably melt him with this setup you know what sure let's go fight delirium it's been a while there's nothing like a good old delirium run said nobody ever holy crap I mean we are actually just melting enemies this is this is something is it a good something always to something don't you damn worry I really want to see what it's like fight and delirium with this I know everybody here wants me to reroll one more time but you don't understand I can't I need to see you what 113 damage looks like against delirium because if it looks like that against death and we also got another damage up in the mark the mark was an 11 damage upgrade okay seems a little bit excessive then we get guppies pause while I do that the world will never know 124 damage that could be better honestly we got here adversary frickin goodnight bookworm please there it is so now we'll fire out two of these in this weird menagerie sometimes delirium sister this good night talk about shotgun from hell this is a shotgun from how we also have about 9 150 billion spiders which I'm pretty okay with a hermit card it literally means nothing to me like in no way shape and form does the Cermak card benefit my life in any way whatsoever it's all not going to ever use it no reason to we will clear the entire Delirium floor before finding them I'm sure that's just how it is rip ah nothing there a value I don't even know where we would use the Year rune at this point either because there's really no smart place I mean there's no assignment smart there's smart places to use it but there's no practical place to use it when our run is like this right now we're just single-handedly demolishing everything very unique as long as I says it's probably the best word to describe this it's not even like holy crap it's sighs so good because I don't really know what it even is it's just this unique you know have I had better good I mean I've had better but not not much better honestly that's about as good as you can get 113 damage melts everything in your path I mean crickets head or something just make it weird our damage that down to 93 high it's about I back up to 124 I think we got that I and that's what is happening here this mr. delare Nelson Isaac fight rip good night that's going to be guppy as well that's just stupid honestly I think everybody here would be okay with me spawning in crickets head just to see what the damage multiplier would do let's see we can get the world's largest damage ok crickets head again was plus 70 now give me Eve's mascara 389 damage all right never oh my god our tears are actually so big you can't see them on the screen how do I feel about that I mean personally I feel okay about it ah delirium it was a good run for you but good night my sweet prince ragged rags can be pretty powerful uh I'm just gonna point that out here Wow a lot of fun stuff going on there and if anybody even remotely says Oh time cheated at the end you got to actually be kidding
