Quilt as you go blocks Scrappy quilt blocks

so just working on a little new project i guess you can call these quilt as you go blocks i'm using up scrap strips that i have in my stash and i'm just randomly cutting them two inch one and a half inch one inch strips and i have a piece of uh cotton batting cotton batting and i've trimmed it to about six and a half by six and a half and i'm just uh having some fun i'm gonna do a little back stitch here and i'm just gonna slowly go down pick up some speed doing a quarter inch seam allowance here a little back stitch and there we go i'm gonna finger press this one but i usually take it over and i lightly press it and uh we're gonna add another strip and just keep going so here's my next strip i decided to give the other strip a light press no steam and we're going to do a little back stitch [Music] keep adding my strips totally random no rhyme or reason in the pattern totally scrappy and i'm loving it we've ironed on all of our strips to my six and a half by six and a half batting we've sewn them on and now i'm ironing sorry and we're going to give it a nice light press and that's the back pretty neat now we're basically taking my ruler i'm going to trim off the excess nice take your time line it up i love this swivel ruler cutting pad one of the third first things that i got when i started to do some quilting projects i'm very happy that i can find these cool little gadgets because it does make your life easier all right ready isn't that cool isn't that just pretty pretty cool so i'm making these out of all scraps and might do some pillows might even try to make a scrappy quilt maybe some tote bags the possibilities are pretty much endless so as you can see i've done a few and i decided to join these and i simply sewed two panels together then two panels together then all four and this is what it looks like i just think this is super fun scrappy and a great way to uh keep you busy in the winter look at that isn't that neat no rhyme or reason but when they come together they just look so cute so not sure what this is going to turn into yet but i'm excited to just make a whole bunch and figure it out
