in this video I'm going to show you how to get the Ubisoft connect launcher on your steam deck and as you can see I am running Far Cry 2 here and this is locally downloaded on the steam deck so let's get started to start we're gonna need to switch over to desktop mode holding the power button and switching to desktop and we're going to launch Firefox down here on the bottom and head over to Ubisoft connect I'll leave the link in the description on Ubisoft connect we're going to go ahead and hit this download for a PC button up here in the right hand corner then we're going to go ahead and launch Steam still in desktop mode then we need to add a non-steam game we're going to go to the games menu up here on the top and scroll down hit add a non-themed game to my library then we'll search and find the file that we downloaded from the Ubisoft connect page and down here where it says browse you'll be able to search your downloads folder for the file that we downloaded when you're searching for your file make sure you hit this drop down menu down here and click all files after we do that we can find our Ubisoft connect installer over here we're going to go ahead and right click it by clicking the left track pad go down to properties and then we want to go to compatibility and force the use of a specific compatibility tool and we want to select either proton experimental or proton 7. I'm going to go with experimental then you're going to click on the Ubisoft connect installer and hit play to launch it and let it install it's going to run you through this installer go ahead and click through when I went to install this it actually minimized this window before I could click install so if that happens just tap the Ubisoft icon so you just did it again actually tap the Ubisoft icon on the bottom here and then we're going to click install and let it run when this pops up we're gonna go X out of it go back over here to Ubisoft installer click on the left track pad go to properties and then we want to change this target right here so we're going to go to browse home slash deck I want to put conduct Steam then a root and then we want to pick steam apps and compat data and then you want to pick this one up top here you'll know it's the right one because it was modified today and it has more numbers than the rest of them then from there you want to pick pfx oh Drive C and we want to go to program files with the 86 and Ubisoft dosop game launcher and then the last thing we want to do and scroll down here and then we want to pick ubisoftgamelauncher.exe then back over in game mode we can go ahead and launch the Ubisoft connect and one thing to keep in mind is that when I first when you first launch it you're gonna have to log in to your account but another thing to note is that it's going to appear in a smaller screen like this but once you launch your game you can go ahead and change the resolution and it will fill the whole screen I'll go ahead and show you that so here we are inside Ubisoft connect we need to get the mouse up just hold down Steam and move your finger along the right track pad and go to games and then I have Far Cry 2. download it so go ahead and launch that and then as you can see I already went ahead and adjusted the screen resolution so it is indeed filling up the whole screen so that's how you do it
