Prophetic Tips For Learning To Prophesy With Greater Accuracy

who are prophetic people prophetic people are people that are encouragers who are prophetic people prophetic people are those who lift up other people because that's what the very nature of prophecy is I know many of you that are watching this you have a desire to prophesy which is good which is biblical because the Bible says desire earnestly to prophesy right and so the Bible talks about earnestly desire Bible talks about desire spiritual gifts especially prophecy so this is something that we should do this is something we should want this is something we should have and so we're asking the Lord for something he told us to ask him for so obviously he's gonna give it to us and so I just want to just take a few minutes today and just encourage you in prophetic ministry okay regarding prophetic ministry so many people think that the more negative they are or the more depressed they are the more prophetic they are that is not at all the case okay New Testament prophecy is very different than Old Testament prophecy in many different ways okay obviously now we live under the dispensation of grace now we don't live under the rules and the guides of the Old Testament we operate under the grace of God and we operate under faith right and so now in the Old Testament it was completely as the Lord wills and and he would anoint a prophet a priest in a king those were the only three three that were prophesied excuse me those are the only three that were anointed but now in the New Testament the Bible says you have an anointing from the Holy One and you know all things ah so all of us are now anointed by the spirit and so we're not only all anointed by the Spirit but we're all given the option to hunger and desire spiritual gifts and so God wants you to desire spiritual gifts and so especially he says in first Corinthians 14:1 especially the gift of prophecy but the number one trait of the gift of prophecy is Ed of vacation exhortation and comfort so I guess it's those three okay so we could say it like this encouragement so we could sum those three up edification exhortation comfort are the simple gift of prophecy so the simple gift of prophecy in you should be that of what encouraging it should be an encouraging gift it should be an encouraging gift that you lift up other people now that you lift yourself up but that you lift them up amen and so I want to share that word with you today because I think so many people struggle with that one thing they really do they really struggle in the area of the gift of prophecy and as a result what happens is is they think they need to be negative they think they can need to call out people sin they think that they need to embarrass people humiliate people tell people you're supposed to marry that person you marry the wrong person or you're working at the wrong job and stuff all of that stuff is completely of a wrong spirit that is not the gift of prophecy okay some people say well I have the gift of discernment no I've told them no you don't you have the gift of suspicion there's no such thing as a gift of discernment the Bible talks about discernment but it doesn't call it a gift you understand so we all have discernment the word discern or the discerning of spirits ah that's a different thing discerning of spirits means to see in the realm of spirits so the word discern means to see okay so to see so and we all have the ability to see why because we are a spirit so if you are a spirit you are spiritual you're not going to try to become spiritual you are spiritual because that's who you are you are a spirit and the moment you get that revelation in your mind and in your heart now all of a sudden you say hey if I'm a spirit they have a spirit and I want to connect with them if I want to connect with them I connect with them on the realm of the love of God which brings encouragement okay so encouragement so I incur I encourage you and I encourage you today to look for somebody to encourage look for somebody look for someone on your facebook look for somebody in your church or something just send them a text hey just thinking about you love and appreciate you man administers to people it goes so deep in such a day and age that everyone wants to argue they want to argue politics they want to argue you know sports teams they want to argue all of this different stuff and just a day of arguing it's just like ah man when somebody comes with just encouragement it feels so good I just was in a church and and we had people stand up I said look for somebody that you don't know I said say to encouraging words to him I said say two things that that are you know your favorite qualities about that person man people started weeping all over the church husbands and wives I had them do it as well earlier they were crying and hugging and kissing and embracing in the church what does that show people need to be encouraged and that's the beautiful thing of the gift of prophecy it brings encouragement and that's what unlocks people's hearts it opens their hearts to begin to receive from God so do that today I challenge you in the name
