Polish MP-5 Gas Mask - From BUDK

all right it's time to unpackage the gas mask that i got out of that three foot bud k box a little bit of a mystery uh items in there some other items if you saw that but this is the bk it's marked bk 4910 it's supposed to be a polish mp5 gas mask we shall see because it might not be and uh this sucker costs 29 bucks who knows what size it is so let's take a look and see what we wound up getting see what what type of shape it's in this is supposed to be like surplus all right we do have the outer uh what in the heck we do have the of course the carry case here but i'm not sure what that says there if anyone is able to decipher that kind of looks like pie no l i don't know all right lighting is a little bit harsh up in here so i'm gonna try to get you i'm gonna try to get you up close look at some of these markings and such a little bit better look on the inside of this canvas heavy duty canvas carry bag does have the like a plastic tray at the bottom to maintain its form and shape so that's pretty nice you do have some little pockets on the inside there two pockets on the outside you can put a big enough put a canteen in there type of type of deal so there is the bag itself the straps nato cartridge here i'm going to screw right on the front of this gas mask and this one does look like it has been used it would still be good for particulates or whatever like co-wood tear gas as long as you can get a good seal on this the rubber material is a semi-hard semi-hard material so it's not as pleasant for long-term wear depending on the shape of your face size of your head that type of thing but it will do the trick and there are four sizes one through four one being the largest the biggest and it looks like if this is correct here i believe that's my marking this one's a size two so second from largest i could probably make this work although my head has gotten fat over the years over the last few years more markings here on the strap itself mra mre-2 looks like we got a date code there probably for when the strap was manufactured you can figure that out looks like 96 in the middle and it does have more markings right there that's showing up 10 mas 98 so that looks like another date code to me and you know their little tape on markings there maybe the last time it was inspected hard to read not really sure what that says if that says 2014 or something else i don't know x next to it but this is definitely not the mp5 version you can tell by for my little research you can tell by the voice emitter here this plate right here of course has a bunch of round circles oops as much round circles in it whereas the actual mp5 the polish mp5 has more of a slotted grill around it so this is the original french version and the mp5 is just a licensed copy of it so basically the same mask just that voice emitter is different there it is let me know what you think cool little novelty item and uh yeah bud k kind of got me again although i'm not too uh concerned with getting the original versus the license copy you know french versus the polish version but there it is oh that does have a little proprietary drinking system here and you can turn that so you turn this out here that way you can get the tube and all that stuff into your canteen and take a swig without taking the mask off turn it back in there it is let me just think post comments down below thanks for watching boom
