I consider myself to be somewhat of a Nuzlocke Master.
I've done dozens of them and had pretty good success,
but Jaiden Animations has a really incredible animation
of their first Nuzlocke. Let's see how it goes. (introduction music) What is going on Youtube.

a brand new video today. Today, we're gonna be reacting
to Jaiden Animations' very first Nuzlocke challenge.
This video came out a little bit ago, but I covered
a Jaiden Animations video recently. She even responded to the video
which was super duper cool by the way. Hi, Jaiden if you're watching this one!
Love your work and thank you so much
for just being awesome in general. We're gonna react to this Nuzlocke
and like I said, Nuzlocke is kind of my bread and butter. I've done a lot. In fact, I'm even
at the point where when a new Pokemon game comes out, I Nuzlocke before I do anything else
just because I like the challenge and I consider myself to be a pretty
adept Pokemon player, but we're gonna have some fun
reacting to this video and I've actually never seen it.
I've seen like snips of it, but I've never seen the full thing,
so we're gonna watch it today. I specifically chose to not watch it
before, so I could do a reaction video, so here we are

Let's do it. I'm sure Jaiden is gonna get into this
at the beginning of the video, but for those who don't know,
in Nuzlocke challenges is a competitive Pokemon challenge
with a self-imposed rule set. They basically states that
if your Pokemon faints, you get rid of it. You nickname
your Pokemon and you only catch the first Pokemon in each route
to kind of increase the challenge level. It's quite a bit of fun and it can be
pretty challenging at times, and of course I didn't mention
it before, but obviously go check out Jaiden Animation's channel. But, let's waste not any time.
Let's see what is going down in the first every Nuzlocke
for Jaiden Animations. - [Jaiden] WIthin the Pokemon community,
there's a set of self-imposed rules you can add
- Ah, Hard mode! - [Jaiden] to the games
to make them more challenging called the Pokemon Nuzlocke.
You can only catch the first Pokemon you run into per route.
- Exactly what I just said. - [Jaiden] If a Pokemon faints, it dies and you can't use it anymore and
- Bye! - [Jaiden] you have to nickname
your Pokemon to get more attached to them. That means if you aren't careful,
- It's sad when you lose something - [Jaiden] you can technically lose
- super good though - [Jaiden] a Pokemon game
under those conditions. I wanted to do a Nuzlocke
for the longest time. I started a couple in the past,
but never actually got to finish any because, busy.
But, today's the day that all changes. I decided to make a video on my first
- She's gonna do arrest. I could see - [Jaiden] full attempt
on Pokemon Ruby Nuzlocke. Let's see how it went
- Pokemon Ruby. - [Jaiden] I've been trying to get free from the back
- Not even Omega Ruby, just going - [Jaiden] of the moving truck my mom
- to Ruby - [Jaiden] stuffed me in
and introducing myself to the neighbor Brendan.
The kid that I always thought was a monkey said that he heard screaming up ahead.
- That's not, who's a monkey? - [Jaiden] Professor Birch
is getting mauled by level 2 Poochyena, so I let his Torchic out and she's scratches the crap out of it.
- Why with Torchic? - [Jaiden] He gifts me Torchic for rescuing him
- That's a fool Nuzlocke Pokemon. - [Jaiden] and I named him "Teriyaki"
- That's a disadvantage against the first Gym. - [Jaiden] My first Pokemon. walking up the route more, I run into Brendan
- Teriyaki. - [Jaiden] who challenges me to a battle
where Teriyaki proceeds to also Scratch the crap
out of his Mudkip. Good job, Teriyaki. Two for two. Doing great. Professor Birch gives me 5 Pokeballs
- That's not gonna last. - [Jaiden] and the Nuzlocke
has officially started. I walked back up to catch
my first Pokemon and ran into a Zigzagoon. Alright, not the best but I can go with this.
- There you go. Bandito! - [Jaiden] you know, I think we're gonna have
- I always call my Zigzagoon as Bandito. - [Jaiden] a really awesome advent-
- I think every person get a Zigzagoon in the beginning of a Nuzlocke. - [Jaiden] Dude! So, Teriyaki one shotted Zigzagoon with a
- Knocked it out with a crit? - [Jaiden] critical hit Scratch, but whatever.
- Yup! - [Jaiden] Contain your murder a little bit. Alright, guy? Route 102 is right around the corner.
- There goes that encounter. - [Jaiden] That's where I was able to catch
Corn, the Seedot. Look at us, a couple
- Seedot's pretty rough for Nuzlockes 'cause it only has like Bide
at beginning of the game especially in Ruby, but if you
can get it into a Shiftry, it wouldn't be that bad and
the type diversity there is pretty decent for her. - [Jaiden] of friends ready
to take on the Hoenn region together. After watching the weird kid Wally struggle to catch his first Pokemon.
- The weird kid Wally. - [Jaiden] I continued to Route 104
and found a little Taillow in the grass. - Okay. - [Jaiden] Agressive and screams
when hungry. Oh yeah. I know your name. In Petalburg Forest, a Team Magma
grunt jumped some random professor, so Ari and Teriyaki peck his eyes out.
- Ari and Teriyaki. - [Jaiden] Hello, Shroomish.
I'm gonna name you Onion. I make it terrestrial
and while getting ready to take on Roxanne's Gym. Teriyaki kills another
- She's got a good team for Roxanne. - [Jaiden] Zigzagoon I was about to catch.
- That Shroomish will carry. - [Jaiden] What's your problem
with Zigzagoons, dude? But, it turned out alright
because she also ended up evolving. Onion was able to destroy Roxanne
- Oh nice! - [Jaiden] with ease and we
got our first Gym Badge. Exiting the Gym, we catch glance at Team Magma is up to no good again.
- I feel like Jaiden's in a really good spot here, she's got Flying-type and Combusken
which learns Flying-type moves. Ready to rock for the next Gym
which is Brawly. Has Shroomish which just destroyed Roxanne.
I don't see how this goes wrong at this point. - [Jaiden] Something about the scorching
or something. And, this old man explains that they stole his Peeko.
- Mr. Briney! - [Jaiden] Here's your dog.
- (laughs) - [Jaiden] Also you're coming with me.
The mayor thanks me by turning me into his errand boy.
- Oh, Whismur. - [Jaiden] And I arrived
- I think Whisper is the only encounter you get in that cave too.
And in Dewford, there's some really cool stuff. Bull prediction,
she gets a Zubat. Let's see it. - [Jaiden] to give a letter to Steven. Alright. What do we got? - Oh! That's actually really sick.
A Mawile. That's pretty rare. - [Jaiden] Okay, Chomps.
After finding Steven it was time to take on Brawly, the next Gym Leader.
Ari's a stone cold killer and easily earned MVP in that fight.
- Pretty ballsy too. - [Jaiden] Things are going well.
Two badges in and team is looking good. on my way to the next city I caught a tentacle
- But, the team's not very good against Watson - [Jaiden] on the beach.
- There's a tentacle. - [Jaiden] Squidward. And after beating Team Magma
- (laughs) - [Jaiden] and Brendan again on Slateport,
it was time again to get ready for the Gym Battle with Watson. But, as I was fighting some Trainers
- Yeah, Watson might be tricky. - [Jaiden] Chomps the Mawile
got electrocuted a bit too hard and was killed.
- Wow! I'm surprised it did that much. Mawile has very, very low
Special Defense, so first Pokemon to go down is Mawile
or whereas I liked to call it Ma-wi-le. - [Jaiden] Jaiden, let's battle.
I want to show you how strong I am. - Oh boy. (laughs) - [Jaiden] Ari, this is an Electric Gym.
You're not allowed to fight in here, so you can just wait outside.
- I like that. - [Jaiden] While battling the Gym Trainers,
- That's smart. - [Jaiden] Onion evolved into Breloom,
- This is tough though, doesn't have the best - [Jaiden] and together with Teriyaki
- Oh with that and a Breloom - [Jaiden] they were able to get another victory.
- Okay, it's over now. - [Jaiden] Now, we were riding high.
- You've got Fighting and two Fighting-Types - [Jaiden] Three Gym Badges in
and no main casualties. With our massive confidence,
we decided to take on the Winstrate family's challenge
and beating all their family members. I had Squidward out front
to get him some experience, but we ran into some
troubles with Grandma. - [Jaiden] Oh god. It's gonna do a
- Meditite Psychic moves. - [Jaiden] High Jump Kick.
We can take him out, but I need a clean switch first. (instrumental music) - This is actually a funny moment here.
So, Jaiden is basically saying, "I need something to,
I can beat this Meditite, but I need to send in something else
to take the hit first." So, this is something that often
happens in Nuzlockes where you're kind of pinned
in an awkward situation with the Pokemon on the field
against the Pokemon you're facing. And, you know you can beat it,
but you have sacrifice something off to get that to work.
Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
Those are some of the tough decisions that come into play in a Nuzlocke.
You kind of have to strategically sacrifice things. Usually you
just sacrifice whatever is the weakest thing is,
but sometimes it's not always that obvious. It's Whismur apparently. - [Jaiden] So, I had to sacrifice Hush Child,
-Yup - [Jaiden] the Whismur. But, honestly
that was the safest move to ensure no one else died.
Goodbye Hush Child. You might be missed. While we're heading to Fallarbor,
-I don't blame you. - [Jaiden] fighting some Trainers, Ari evolved
- There you go. - [Jaiden] Oh, look at my big bird.
Oh, look at you. - [Jaiden] We were almost to town,
- Oh my god. I love this so much. - [Jaiden] but we had to get through
the city grass on - How sick would it be
if like I'm just gonna throw this out there. Jaiden if you're still watching,
can we do a Nuzlocke collaboration where I'll do the Nuzlocke
and you animate it. I don't think you're gonna do it,
but that would be sick. 'Cause this is just awesome,
seeing it like this, so epic. - [Jaiden] 113. Oh geez. Alright, Barf get in there
with the rest of them. I walked into Meteor Falls to see Team Aqua
- Spinda, not a good 'Mon. - [Jaiden] and Team Magma arguing
about water and rocks. May I go? Get over here Zubat. They kept complaining to go up
- Get the Zubat. - [Jaiden] the volcano. They were
blocking to fight Maxie, the Team Magma leader.
That was a hard fight. Onion and Teriyaki were able to take out his Mightyena and Camerupt,
- You need a Water-type for that one. - [Jaiden] but his Golbat hit hard.
I ended up having to switch in Ari and Double Team up to win the battle. Not the most honorable of strategies.
- You gotta do what you gotta do. Listen I've utilized Sand Attack,
Double Team, you gotta do what you gotta do in a Nuzlocke.
There's no rules. You use what you gotta use. - [Jaiden] worked and we're moving on.
On the way down the volcano, I ran into a Machop.
Oh, hello there Chad! What? You're a female?
- Chad. - [Jaiden] Did i stutter?
We've arrived at Lavaridge Town and starting getting through
Flannery's Gym. During that time, Squidward was almost killed
by a Fury Swiping Kecleon. Fury Swipes. Oh my gosh.
That does a lot of damage. Please stop. Stop! - Ohh! - [Jaiden] But, when it
came time to battle, he pulled his weigh and more.
Honestly with the team, there wasn't much I could've done
to Flanery's Fire Pokemon. But, Squidward came in clutch
by learning Bubblebeam and it was all over for.
- There you go. - [Jaiden] Badge 4, under our belt. Brendan met us outside the gym
to give us goggles, so we could walk into sandstorms.
- He gets to the desert now. - [Jaiden] I found a Claw Fossil, and Anorith was born.
- Hey! Anorith. - [Jaiden] I didn't know what to name it,
- That could be good actually - [Jaiden] so my friend named him "Gary". Now it's time for the fifth Gym.
- Gary. - [Jaide] After some training, Chad evolved into Machoke and
- Gary and Squidward - [Jaiden] the team was leveled up.
I started the battle with Ari and after realizing, I was in trouble.
- Uh oh. That Slaking is gonna be a problem. - [Jaiden] Yeah, that doesn't do
a lot of damage. I managed to squeak by
with more Double Teams. Ari was barely able to take out
the first Slaking, so when the second stronger one came out,
- (laughs) - [Jaiden] I knew I had to use
a different strategy. I brought out Onion to Leech Seed it
and try and get more chipped damage in which worked,
but he was also killed by Slaking's Facade which is I though he could take.
- No - [Jaiden] Chad was able to finish off
- No - [Jaiden] the rest of the fight, but that
- No Fighting-type moves? - [Jaiden] was the first death that actually hurt.
- Oh no. - [Jaiden] I'm not crying. Someone's just chopping Onions in here.
- Ooh. - [Jaiden] But, with every down,
there's an up. Corn stepped up and it is ready to fill Onion's spot.
- There you go. The original Nuzlocke Pokemon, Nuzleaf, ey?
That's actually why it's called the Nuzlocke 'cause of Nuzleaf,
and then I think the guy's name, I think he named it "Locke"
or something like that. - [Jaiden] While passing through
Mauville again, Watson asked us to help him turn up the
city's generator. While down there, I found a Magnemite. - Or as I like to say, Mag-ne-mi-ti, Seriously, that's how you pronounce
Magnemite, Mag-ne-mi-ti. Yep. - [Jaiden] Wanna come with? - (laughs) - [Jaiden] We kept on our way
catching Sparky the Electrike. While fighting some Trainers,
Corn survived two very close calls. He took a Swords Dance
- Yeah. Ninjask, I don't know about that one. - [Jaiden] boosted Fury Cutter by Ninjask
and a misclick from me which resulted in him tanking
a Wind Attack from a Taillow. No, no, no. No, no, no, no!
Corn, no! Dude, Corn. I'm sorry sorry.
You're such a trooper. Good news is Squidward evolved while
- At least you get that though. - [Jaiden] training, so that's a neat.
- That's a good evolution. - [Jaiden] We arrived in Fortree City
and this was a Gym I was really nervous about. Not only did we
- Magnemite. Need that Magnemite. - [Jaiden] not have a good team
to take on a Flying-type Gym, but Winona's Altaria is notorious
for sweeping teams if she sets up too many
Dragon Dances. I went to the grass to train up the team
and the worst happened. Corn was killed by Pin Missile from a Zigzagoon. Wait, no, no, no.
- Oh no. Four times supereffective Pin Missle. - [Jaiden] Stop, stop! Oh god.
- And it lived on one. That's so sad. I mean it wasn't gonna be good against - [Jaiden] Corn. No, Corn! You monster!
- Winona, but that's really sad. - [Jaiden] How could you do this!
Is this why you kept trying to kill all the Zigzagoons?
I wanna think that Corn sacrificed himself because he knew
we were at too much of a disadvantage going into Winona's Gym,
- (laughs) - [Jaiden] and by opening up a space,
we could get the type advantage we needed to stand a chance.
- Magnemite will be solid. - [Jaiden] With a heavy heart I brought Zipzapzop the Magnemite to the team
- Yeah. There you go. That's the play. - [Jaiden] and realized how much more grinding I was gonna have to do.
- Yeah. - [Jaiden] I had to fight so many Marills
- Sounds about right. - [Jaiden] to get Zipzapzop on par
with the rest of the team. You want to know how many?
The move Thunderbolt can be used 15 times before it runs out.
I had to go back to the Pokemon Center almost six separate times to refill it. Meaning Zipzapzop
- I've been there. - [Jaiden] killed more than 80 Marills
that were living in that lake. Winona led with Swellow
which Zipzapzop was able to take out. but she immediately
- Zipzap probably just wins the Gym. - [Jaiden] brought out Altaria which made very
- Oh, it's got Earthquake, never mind. - [Jaiden] scared because I know
she's got Earthquake on that thing. I didn't have a clean switch and I knew
- There you go. - [Jaiden] no one on the team
could take two hits from this cloud bird, so I ultimately
decided that I'd have Zipzapzop paralyze it
in exchanged for his death. - No!
- [Jaiden] Goodbye Zipzapzop, you weren't here for long, but your efforts will not be in vain.
- Yeah. He's not living Ooh, he did live the Earthquake.
- [Jaiden] Oh my god! somehow Zipzapzop lived the Earthquake on
- That's 4x supereffective. - [Jaiden] 2 HP like a mad lad.
- Wow! - [Jaiden] Corn must have been
looking down on us. - Anyone who watches my Nuzlocke
knows about Lamp. I want to see you guys
comment in the comment section below that you loved Lamp because it felt like
every time I used Lamp, which is a Lanturn by the way.
That thing lived like on 1 or 2 HP on every suppereffective hit.
Was an absolute monster. - [Jaiden] us for that one,
because there was definitely a 90% chance Zipzapzop
was supposed to die there. With that string of luck,
I was able to switch Ari in for Zipzapzop to predict
another Earthquake. And start chipping away at the Altaria
- There you go. - [Jaiden] which was not gonna be easy. She was already starting to stack up
those Dragon Dances which make her moves even more powerful.
- (laughs) - [Jaiden] And I was legitimately sweating, but with what little luck we had left,
Winona got greedy and tried to get in that last Dragon Dance.
- Ah! That's oof.
- [Jaiden] That's when Ari was able to swoop in and snipe that kill. If that Altaria would have decided to attack
- It's funny. - [Jaiden] at any point, she would've
- Swellow to beat Winona too. - [Jaiden] one-shotted anyone
and everyone on my team. Thank you Corn you shined your
photosynthesis onto us. - There you go.
- [Jaiden] From there, I was able to heal up Zipzapzop
and sweep the rest of her team. The sixth Gym badge was ours.
- Yeah, ez pz with yeah. - [Jaiden] Outside the safari zone
- (chuckles) - [Jaiden] I found a Duskull I was able to catch.
- Ooh! I like it!
- [Jaiden] I tried to have Gary on the team since resurrecting him from the dirt,
but he honestly has like no moves that do damage,
so I decided to replace him with Sin. We arrived at Lilycove and I tried fishing on the beach for Pokemon
- Although Duskull doesn't have the best moves either.
- [Jaiden] but Chad punched the Wailmer I reeled up too hard and killed it. We storm team Magma's base
- Oops. - [Jaiden] and while trying
to get the Master Ball they've got on the ground,
and Electrode exploded and almost killed Chad which was uncalled for.
- Ooh. - [Jaiden] After baiting their admin,
they escaped into a submarine and I went on to fight the next gym.
Tate and Liza were the first Double Battle Gym Leaders
and I didn't realize until too late that I was just a tad
- I think it'll be alright though. - [Jaiden] underleved for them.
- Oh wait. Actually her whole team is so bad against Tate and Liza. - [Jaiden] They don't have anymore than two
- Wait a minute. - [Jaiden] Pokemon, so I think we
should be okay. 42!
- Yeah. I don't know about this actually. Wait a minute.
This is not, no. She's about to get blown back. Hold on.
- [Jaiden] Uh-oh. Sin and Zipzapzop made a good duo being able to
confuse and paralyze them, but Solrock managed to
get off a Sunny Day powered Flamethrower in Zipzapzop's face
which totally killed him. That really sucked. He put in so much work
- Melted - [Jaiden] for the team, and really
carried us this far. The rest of this fight is
for you Zipzapzop. Squidward came out and together
with Sin, we're able to finish off the duo getting us
our 7th Gym Badge. - Pretty underlevel though. - [Jaiden] Alright, Sparky.
You're up. I think I single-handedly
- (laughs) - [Jaiden] wiped out the entire Water Pokemon
- Sounds about right. - [Jaiden] population between
Zipzapzop and Sparky. I went to Shoal Cave and caught
Blubby the Spheal. And when out to take on Maxie
one last time. For some reason, I didn't learn
my lesson when being underleveled for Tate and Liza, because I was
even more underleveled for Maxie. Mightyena.
- Yep. That's the problem with Nuzlockes. One thing that can often happen is
generally because you're, like if you play through a normal game,
you have your team and like they're leveling up
throughout the entire playthrough. But, if you lose a Pokemon,
that means you have to dedicate so many resources to get
that Pokemon caught up which means that the rest
of your team generally isn't getting the same experience
if there's no experience during the older games.
So, like your whole team falls behind. It's very easy in a Nuzlocke
to fall behind on leveling, and then it just takes like
absurd amount of grinding to be able to catch back up. - [Jaiden] It doesn't go down?
- Ooh. - [Jaiden] This fight was rough.
- That's big level gap. - [Jaiden] Chad was able to take
out his Mightyena, but I resorted to Squidward
when his Crobat came out and luck wasn't on my side here
because Squidward was killed by a high roll Wing Attack.
- Ouch. - [Jaiden] The way Pokemon works is there a small
- Yep. - [Jaiden] range of damage
an attack can do. That's not actually the same all the time,
and it's kinda based on chance, so even though
it looked like Squidward could've lived two Wing Attacks, Maxie was able
- Yep. - [Jaiden] to get a low roll on the first one
- Yep. There you go - [Jaiden] and high roll on the second
- low roll and the high roll - [Jaiden] which was the death of Squidward.
- That's rough. - [Jaiden] But it wasn't
- I really like, I gotta say I really like how Jaiden is taking the time to explain
a lot of these stuff, because obviously Jaiden's core,
like audience, the people that are watching this,
aren't necessarily hardcore Pokemon fans, like the casual
Pokemon fan isn't doing a Nuzlocke, but I personally find it to be
one of the most enjoyable ways to play through a game,
so it's really cool that she's taking the time to
kind of explain some of these aspects of a Nuzlocke and just
Pokemon in general. - [Jaiden] time to give up.
We had to persevere for Squidward. Ari came in and took out
the Crobat and lived on 1 HP when hit by Camerupt's Rock Slide.
- Aah! - [Jaiden] It was a tough battle,
- Did it get flinched? - [Jaiden] but we've squeaked by barely.
- Nah, it would be faster. - [Jaiden] After that fight,
I needed to take a step back and seriously grind up the team again.
- The Spheal. - [Jaiden] If we were just a bit
more underleveled, we would've been murdered. Blubby joined the team
and we got to work eventually arriving to Sootopolis.
Steven and the Sootopolis Gym Leader Wallace were there
saying Groudon was in the cave because someone used the
wrong orb and pissed them off. So, I went in there, walked up to Groudon
- Deym! - [Jaiden] and Master Balled him immediately.
- Yeah. - [Jaiden] No way I'm fighting Groudon.
- That's the play. - [Jaiden] Now, get in the box!
While fighting Wallace, Sparky was able to take out
his Luvdisc and Sealeo. Sin beat his Whishcash - [Jaiden] and Chad finished off Milotic
- I love that. Oh my god, these, - [Jaiden] The team was perfect.
- these animations are so good. - [Jaiden] And after obtaining our final
- That's a great team. - [Jaiden] Gym Badge, I knew
we were ready for the Elite Four. We got through Victory Road.
- I like it. A lot of the OGs still. - [Jaiden] Wally tried to fight us for the last time
- Ooh! Walrein's really good by the way. - [Jaiden] but he just needs to stop.
We exited the cave and there it was. The final challenge.
Here we go. Sidney was up first and honestly,
he wasn't a challenge at all. Chad and Teriyaki
- Yeah. - [Jaiden] were able to take care of his team with ease.
- The Fighting type. You got two Fighting types. - [Jaiden] Phoebe wasn't
- It's a bummer that she was playing Ruby and wasn't able to evolve Machoke
into Machamp 'cause that would have made a huge difference in power. - [Jaiden] difficult either
with Sin and Blubby being MVPs. Glacia was a bit tougher. Teriyaki was able to take out her Glalie
- Well, you got Blubb - [Jaiden] and Sparky could handle
- the Spheal. - [Jaiden] her Sealeos but her
Walrein was the big problem. Walreins are thick,
can tank a lot of hits and can do a lot of damage.
I would know because I have one. I brought
out Chad and she was able to get in a good amount of damage,
but she was ultimately killed by Blizzard. Sin came out
- No! - [Jaiden] to try and confuse it
but it broke through the confusion and landed Sheer Cold. Sheer Cold
- No! - [Jaiden] is a One-hit KO move. - [Jaiden] It has a 30% chance of hitting the target
- Oh my gosh. - [Jaiden] and will fail if the target
Pokemon's level is higher than the users. But, even under
all those conditions, it hit. And Sin was killed.
- Oh no. - [Jaiden] Two great team members
down and out. Chad was with us for so long
and pulled so much weight and Sin got us through some
really tough battles. Even with those losses,
we were able to finish Glacia off and move on to the final Elite Four member, Drake
- Oh man. Down to four. - [Jaiden] Drake's got a tough team.
- But, - [Jaiden] But, we've got a Blubby
- you got a nice type. - [Jaiden] and she wanted revenge
- There you go. - [Jaiden] for her fallen comrades.
She Ice Beamed every single one of Drake's Pokemon.
- Yep. - [Jaiden] Just as straight-up massacre. And with that, it was on
to the last battle, Steven Stone. - So, I could tell you that
I recently played through uras, I think maybe it was a year ago
and I had a Walrein in my team. And that was
how I got through it as well 'cause Walrein is so like
bulky and it can deal so much damage against
these Dragon-types. This is gonna be tough. - [Jaiden] I was legitimately nervous.
I led with Sparky to take out his Skarmory as quick as possible.
- There you go. - [Jaiden] And Blubby was
able to take out his Claydol and Aggron. But, then came his Metagross. This might be the end.
- Yep. - [Jaiden] Metagross is Steven's strongest Pokemon.
- Metagross can Pyschic moves into Blaziken. - [Jaiden] So I needed to hinder it
as much as I could before it started doing serious damage. I knew his Metagross had Earthquake
which would definitely take out most of my team.
So, I had to have Sparky kamikaze to get a paralysis off.
Blubby came out again and after a lot of hardwork, finally beat the Metagross by spamming Surf.
- There you go. No Blaziken? - [Jaiden] Teriyaki was able to finish his Cradily
- There you go. - [Jaiden] and his final Pokemon
was Armaldo, Gary's final revenge for getting booted from the team.
- Uh-oh. - [Jaiden] I brought out Blubby,
because Teriyaki was pretty weakened.
And after realizing she gets two-shotted by him,
I knew she was gonna have to die. So, with a heavy heart,
Blubby pulled out her last Surf getting Armaldo in the red,
and was killed. Teriyaki, the Pokemon who's
been with us from the start. Who'd seen her friends die in front of her.
- That's how it should be, right? - [Jaiden] The OG refused to let
any more murder happen. Onion, Corn, Zipzapzop,
Squidward, Chad, Sin, Sparky, Blubby. Their zeros
and ones won't go down in vain. One good kick to the head
- Zeros and ones. - [Jaiden] and we did it. We completed
- Nice - [Jaiden] the Pokemon Ruby Nuzlocke
- We love to see it. - [Jaiden] Teriyaki and Ari were the only survivors with the whole team
- Oh wow. - [Jaiden] putting a lot of work to
- And those were two of their first - [Jaiden] get us to number one.
- Pokemon of course. - [Jaiden] A cheers! To the true mad lads! - Do, do you saw the Deoxys
fly in the back? That was cool. That was great.
That was honestly so good. I think we're at the end there.
