POKER CONCEPTS in Action: Ranges, Bluffs, Bubble Play and getting All In

what's up my people every once in a while we figure gonna give you some content different kind of things i played on stream on friday this uh wsop circuit event legacy blah blah blah thing and uh i played for i don't know good five six hours so i thought it would make sense to sort of break it down to about a 20 30 minute video where we go over some of the cooler hands that i played throughout this little tourney i plan on playing i think most of them except for the last one because i have another uh appointment to uh send mr phil hellmuth to the rail which will air on march 31st on poker the top pair on the board let's see let's go 625 very small little stab on a monotone board three clubs all right that's a bad card for our range it's a good card for his we shall see what he does i think i'm going to we're going half pot we don't want to continue now if he raises we have to fold and this would be very thin for value right so we don't beat a flush we don't beat jack queen jack king jack ace if i had ace jack king jack i think it's a bet but as played i think this is close enough so let's check jack nine oh my god with a club sick we had he had the one hand that he could have called and we beat what are you gonna do such is life sentimental eyes get says do you consider yourself in the top 20 of tournament players absolutely yes i do for sure no not yet no question peel and hopefully turn this into a river bluff maybe maybe we just catch a ten jack or a queen if he bets here we'd be done with it typically when you want to bluff a board like this you want to have a club in your hand but if he checks back turn i'm not always worried about him having actual flush so that is the club and now it is time to bluff 6 13. six six six eighteen seventeen hundred let's decent amount like he might call the worst hand and the ace is a card that heavily favors my range and i know i sound a little nerdy when i say that for those that don't know what that means is but certain cards are going to help one player's typical overall possibilities than the other so when someone raises under the gun they have a very limited range of hands they do that with when someone defends from the big blind it's a very wide range of hands right so if an ace comes the player raises under the gun that's way more likely to hit him want to see my stats you want to see my stats so far okay well let's play this one first let's go to that freaking timer scares me 10 50. i'll look at my stats so i've played two out of 14 hands from the small blind set half my big blinds other i've played what is that eight out of 77 overall 17 percent four to six what is this guy all in i think i need to shove behind it so that i get this guy to not call boom let's do it we don't want him could be good getting three to one i don't like it actually i'm gonna fold don't like it it's not quite enough because we don't have that many we have just the jack is pure out and it's you know hopefully not a spade i mean like i said we beat ace suited but we have an ace so we blocked that doesn't leave as many combos of that so just a lot of combos you can have there that happens pretty [ call that backdoor straights and flushes and all kinds not folding this one we are not folding the threes he's got a seven he's going to do some damage against us 8900 huh 40 pot actually i changed my this player jammed i would fold all right now we're definitely out because that under the gun player is either going to have typically a pair or an you know combo of a decent ace so get away for losing with losing 6k yeah sure you can gamble goal in pull pre-flop what's he he's gonna you're not going to fold very often you know all right third part not going to play take it oh let's see what we got here all right i'm gonna bluff raise blue for a's with the a3 44 players left still two out of the money i think robin laner in the nets tonight okay couple threes are still in the bubble i
