Plague Inc. Evolved - Virus Walkthrough (Mega Brutal)

hello and welcome to Provost gaming in another round of plague ink evolved you guys seem to like the last video so okay I guess we'll play a little bit more and if you guys continue to enjoy the series then all make it up I'll make it a little bit more regular then yeah that sounds fun I would be remiss if I did not mention that the day this video will be going up is Christmas so a very Merry Christmas to all of you I hope you had a fantastic year and you have many fantastic years to look forward to now I'm going to kill you with diseases single-player play and we're we playing as a virus this time around now we did a special strategy for mega brutal with a parasite in the last video it worked very well and I managed to reproduce it immediately using bacteria and virus and I kind of want to reproduce those results as best as I can also virus is the only disease type we have not done on this channel so we're we playing virus on mega brutal and see if we can use the same sort of strategy we did last time to wipe out the world in pretty good time let's hit continue now as far as our genetic code I'm not going to change anything out catalytic switch and genetic mimic both work really well together so we're gonna keep that aqua site is still my personal favorite and extrema file is a good jack-of-all-trades symptom stasis is probably going to be a necessity just to keep our costs under control because we're going to use symptoms very aggressively and we want to have a lot of access points to use a lot of symptoms very rapidly so where to keep symptom stasis even if it makes us easier to cure theoretically if we do our job right it won't matter when I'm playing on mega brutal like I said and I already picked a name out for this one something automatically appropriate and that is the tinsel box yeah y'all thought that the tinsel you were decorating your house with was harmless and shiny and good fun little did you know it was home to an insidious virus deep within the tinsel what's tinsel nobody knows no one knows where it comes from it's at no it's it's probably in the name 10 and ok either way I'm joking around but yeah the tinsel box is we're gonna go with this time around Merry Christmas everybody now die of tinsel let's play the game welcome to plague Inc we're a virus now of course that means we are going to mutate a lot but we'll get to more of that later as far as we're going to start we're picking a rich nation again and I want to go ahead explain my strategy one more time just to make sure that people understand what we're doing if this is the first time you've seen this strategy in easy normal and brutal difficulty the way you get detected by the AI is if you have high severity and lethality and the odds of getting detected are greatly increased the more nations you've hit up the more effective you are the more people are infected with your disease that makes perfect sense in mega brutal though regardless if you have any severity or lethality at all if you have infected your host nation enough then the random doctor checkups will eventually detect the disease once you hit like 80 or 90 percent of infection in your host country regardless again of any severity or leaf allottee at all you will get detected and someone will start working on the cure so knowing that that is true we're going to start off in a rich and well developed nation with good medicine so that in our host country we cannot spread very quickly that will give us the time we need hopefully to get a foothold in as many nations as possible before we snowball out of control and get detected now last time we did the UK I really like the UK UK is still pretty good we're gonna switch things up and we're gonna play and um Sweden Sweden sounds good people like Sweden right yeah okay we'll play in Scandinavia region or Finlandia or the Nordic states I have a lot of people be contentious on that point and I don't blame you it's confusing Sweden it is rich urban a humid and cold weak but used to cold temperatures the tinsel parks most of all using DNA no surprises there the day after Christmas somebody got infected oh I'm so sorry I hope you enjoyed your presents now you're going to die of the tinsel box we're going to randomly mutate a lot and it's going to be hard to control our disease and we have to spend DNA points in order to devolve undesired symptoms that's what makes the virus particularly troublesome is not I mean getting free symptoms is good and that's so much it saves you DNA points unless it's the wrong symptom at the wrong time and something you've got lethality and you get detected it before you are ready and then bad things happen so the virus is not my personal favorite simply because it's harder to control and I'm a control freak personally I like to be able to control things Rasch just a belt for free that's actually okay with me because rash is probably the first symptom I would have gone with anyway so we just saved ourselves like two points thanks to that random trina-- mutation so array it worked out to our advantage barely but it did we probably should go ahead and pick up some other symptoms though more dangerous in cold countries yeah sweating sounds good in that case so let's go ahead and pick that up for just a couple of points we need to get a little bit more infect if ax t so that will start getting a lot of points currently we only have one person infected in Sweden although for some reason we're getting a lot of points for that one person and I definitely see two dots on here so I have no idea what they're talking about but okay 15 points hmm we'll probably pick up water level two in just a moment that that was a moment so let's pick up water level two BAM and hopefully we're going to start infecting more than one person there's a second person we've increased by 100 percent infectivity goldman stanley bank crisis oh dear reporter cass tropic losses today due to a technical error in their random number generator oh great random number generator for our investment banking yeah it sounds fantastic fever developed no no no no no no any other points and another point right now give me a point give me a point thank you fever is lethal we do not want that so that's gonna cost us three points to get rid of that symptom but yeah that's the problem with the virus that happens sometimes and it's probably always a good idea to have a couple of extra points in reserve just to protect yourself in case something like that happens again alright we're starting to pick up the pace a teeny-weeny bit more teeny weeny little bit more it's happening let there be no doubt I wanna pick up air level one probably next so we'll wait for 11 points Nadja developed for free that's okay not just a level one thing it's going to increase our infectivity very slightly I'm okay with that and the severity is not a huge deal so yeah yeah that's fine and again the other thing about the virus is as it is mutating symptoms that typically would mean that the cost of all of their symptoms increases as well not a problem when you have sent those stasis so it actually synergizes pretty well with the mutation but again you know we it's the uh no it does require a certain amount of luck fever developed again no stop it stop now it's gonna cost four points this time thank you hasn't killed anybody yet so we're not gonna get detected prematurely let's get rid of that dang fever see ya the mutations have now cost us seven points and gained us like four so it's it's been the detriment to us thus far festival of love and Sweden hey nice thing we already have nausea then we did manage to infect Finland and the Baltic states so that's good we're starting to spread a little bit while we're spreading a lot faster in the Baltic states and I would have expected because we're used to humid and cold stuff humid because of aqua site and okay heavy flooding in Poland well odds are pretty good we're gonna hit Poland's pretty soon then since we do spread by water pretty easily we did just hit up Ukraine coughing developed I'm okay with coughing coughing will actually end up leading to pneumonia which is good in cold countries so that'll work to our advantage Ukraine buffets I've never started in Sweden before so the spreading pattern is gonna be interesting London Olympics mystery apparently there's no reason given for why we're not going to host the Olympics in London what we want I really want to get toward air two but I need to save some points in case we developed fever or something again oh wow they found us very early on very early on that's upsetting it's probably because we have excess symptoms no no our severity is still pretty low I have no idea why we got detected that quickly that's definitely not what happened last time I played this but again we're hitting critical mass in the Baltic States and they started working on a cure Wow okay the Baltic States is not somewhere you want to infect to early on because bad things happen turns out err - we'll see if we can still make this work but uh yeah starting a Sweden is definitely not um definitely not uh what it's just in the future it's not working well to our advantage gosh dang it you stupid fever go away of course it's getting more expensive every single time and it managed to kill people so oh joy maybe that was the flooding in Poland London Olympics a success good medicine blah blah blah don't care we did have Greenland's fairly early on hitting up France that's all good Duke do all these are good yes the Cure progress is pretty negligible at this point so we're not worried about it bio aerosol will cost 20 points so that's good enough for me let's pick that up that's all the transmission that we're going to want um we got detected really early on so we're actually gonna want to pick up drug resistance level one probably so we can spread on some of these richer nations faster because that's going to be kind of a critical aspect to our strategy is we need to be able to ramp up lafalot II on command and start wiping out these rich countries before the Cure progress goes a little bit too far I'm actually a little bit worried this time I feel like we might lose because starting in Sweden had some unexpected events insomnia developed that actually worked to our advantage I'm okay with that um let's go ahead and pick up heatless distance level one because we're gonna have a hard time spreading in Africa and South America without it we're definitely seeing some cure progress starting to be made not good not good at all doop doop doop doop doop all good 24 points now um hmm hmm insomnia and anemia together make a pretty nice combo that reduces cure progress so but paranoia also a mean that people are less likely to seek koa treatments at all so I'm kind of a fan of that we're gonna pick up anemia we're going to pick up paranoia and we're going to pick up not skin lesions that's a little too severe they'll start working on the cure in earnest once I see blue bubbles starting to pop up I'll know that it's really time to start ramping up that infectivity and lethality anything else we wants in symptoms right now probably pneumonia because that will increase the vulnerability in say Canada for example and they're going to resist us pretty hardcore we're spreading it through Brazil Russia shut down their airports pretty early this is all going off a lot faster than I had intended not gonna lie we just got placed on the watch list we have 47 points though so we can start doing some fun stuff let's go ahead and pick up drug resistance level two and twenty six points for heat resistance ouch is expensive we're gonna need it probably alright let's go ahead and do it heat resistance level two okay we're Bettis resistant as we can possibly get in those places let's go ahead and pick up um hmm vomiting ready go both sneezing and vomiting that hopefully will end up giving us the projectile vomit combo which works pretty well for some extra infectivity huge earthquake in the UK really that's not something you hear every day how we doing as far as world infectivity we're still missing Madagascar that is the only hard to get to nation that I'm worried about inflammation developed for free ah okay can be fatal we're apparently ramping up a little bit of lafalot II before I was ready for it so uh okay I guess we're doing this let's go for the skin lesions and let's go for the seizures and let's go for the insanity and next we'll go for our necrosis USA is leading the global cure efforts that's scary let's go ahead and get those extra points we now have enough for necrosis so we'll continue to infect people even though they die that's good next we want to get paralysis probably in order to make it harder to cure because the Cure progress is really gonna start picking up now like a lot actually so let's go ahead and pick up the paralysis right away a coma would also be quite good instead of total organ failure this is a slightly different build order than last time which is not quite what I anticipated but it's gonna have to happen I think so we need 31 points for that it's there it is global research focused on cure coma yeah nice try you just lost a teeny bit of progress not enough whoa haemophilia develops we're getting a lot of points though all of a sudden good lord okay so oh boy when we want next total organ failure probably yeah total organ failure is really good so let's start killing people pretty quickly next we'll go for systemic infection immune suppression tumors cysts hypersensitivity is actually pretty good to make people in the rich countries more vulnerable and then we probably to go for hemorrhagic shock this cure progress is going to ramp up very quickly now which concerns me a wee little bit wee little bit but we're going to start killing off these rich nations I mean we managed to infect all the rich nations really early on so they're gonna start dying and reducing their ability to infect the work on the cure pretty quickly we have infected everywhere put Morocco a freakin again there's Morocco I about dang time alright we could increase our infectivity a little bit though if we're going to do this so let's go for dysentery that's a lot of infectivity and lethality which I'm a fan of um anything else we care about really though I don't think I need anything else down there we can probably do just fine with only symptoms from here on out so tumors systemic infection could be pretty good actually yeah I'm gonna go for the systemic infection that will max out our infectivity so hopefully we're gonna be spreading faster than we're killing people in Morocco and it looks like we are this is not going to be as good of a run as our parasite just because the progress of the cure is going to be a lot higher but I think we're still going to win just fine let's take a look okay so most of the Cure progress has been completely destroyed at this point so Morocco Central Africa and Botswana are still trying to cure us yeah that's not going to work out well for you projectile vomiting finally kicked in that was a little late but it did happen apparently the u.s. is still sending out blue cure bubbles our Americans still live there are there a couple hundred thousand Americans still there okay by America thank you for the last round of blue bubbles no healthy people left in the world which means we can just ramped up our lafalot II as much as we want so internal hemorrhaging immune suppression problem area fibrosis pulmonary oedema fever diarrhea tumors and abscesses we have just done every single symptom in the game yeah that worked out pretty well sento stasis everybody it's pretty powerful pretty potent and that is going to be everything perfect the tinsel box has eliminated all life on Earth that was still worth four stars I feel pretty good about that let's go ahead and watch this at full speed so yeah once again starting off in a wealthy seems to have worked for us even though we did get detected way earlier than I was expecting starting off in Sweden I don't recommend if you're gonna go for the whole starting in a wealthy country make sure that wherever you're traveling to is gonna be well surrounded by wealthy countries the UK surrounded by France Germany Spain and a couple other wealthy places so I won't get detect it but the Baltic states messed me up starting next to a country as poor as the Baltic States like wow that got me detected way way way earlier than I was expecting still though we managed to get through this with only sixty percent cure progress still got a pretty solid score this took a bit longer than last time definitely but I'm okay with that so at this point we started spreading throughout all the rich countries and now we started killing them all off very rapidly you notice yeah very very rapidly we hit like massive critical mass like day 700 within day and 100 days we just ran to the lethality and killed all the US and other rich nations like that so yeah that worked out really well still the tensile pox has successfully gotten Christmas vengeance upon the entire world and you're all dead Merry Christmas all
