[Music] [Music] how are you guys doing this wednesday morning normally you didn't do these streams on fridays that was actually my idea but i come to realize now that they have to be a bit more sporadic these streams because a lot of times i'm actually working on stuff that i can't really show to show you because it's under um ndas so [Music] this time i'm actually just gonna recreate a location that we're gonna make as another film and i took the pictures [Music] around the room 360 degrees stood in one corner and then in the middle in the other corner middle another corner middle other corner middle and then i'm going to stitch them together i also took two different lenses you know the new phones they have this really wide angle which is nice to just get all the details but the really wide angles even though the the camera actually fixes distortions and stuff it won't really match up when you put it into sketchup because it doesn't really help so you need to use like the tighter images but sometimes the wider images can actually help you put in the parallel lines and you just have to work in the center so we're gonna office something that's called ureth and i actually uh learned of this program through andrew and the the the blended girl should follow his channel if you want to learn blender it's really good you can take his famous donut challenge and this is a very cool little program that just lets you put a lot of reference images so what i'm going to do now is just going to take all of these white i'm going to first take all these tight images nicely into two columns there pull them into this and this actually puts all the images into this purif and puts them in at full quality so i can zoom in and out of here and i can always keep this on top of the of my my desktop if i just push down here in this little thingy here i can put it to be always on top so that even when i'm working in sketchup i still have my reference table up which is very nice uh but this is just for reference i'm gonna use this to photomesh as well but for now i'm just going to put them in there so this is the so the more images you put in the the larger the the space will be and then we're going to do the other ones which is the wide angle ones i'm gonna put them i knew that was a way to do it okay so if you can see here you see that you have i had took one with the tighter lints and then one with a half lens which takes the entire view i think that's a very wide angle i don't know what the actual but you can see the lines are really really straight and that tells me that this camera sort of stitches them together somehow and fixes distortions which is great for pictures not great when you're trying to um to camera match so i'll use these images to actually match them but the problem is if i do this for example i can't really have any parallel lines to draw from i i have them here though but i don't have them there so what i can do is use this and then just use this part as damage reference trusty sketchbook and the laser laser i can't really see it can you we go i used the laser pointer just to knock pointer laser measure and took some fast measurements and look i didn't really take lots of them what i really took was like the length of the room the width of the room and the size of the doors and the height of the ceiling and all the stuff like that but there's a lot of things missing here and i also figured out that each of these shelves are exactly one meter in the inside space here and the first image i'm going to start with is actually a corner and the reason for that is because that makes it uh easier to actually get the parallel lines you see what i'm going to do first is actually draw this door because i know the size of that and i know the size of that door too so i could use that too but that is the most prominent one it's two one ninety seven so i'm gonna move 220. round it up because the laser pointer is always off by a little bit and it's gonna be 18 thirty so that i'm just gonna flip this up to this side then we need to find this image again which is this image and now you can see that i have this edge here which i can place sort of in the right place you also have these lines and you can see that they go each their parallel way so this actually matches these lines and this matches these lines and then we just need as you can see when i'm doing this my view here actually changes i think it's pretty much in the center this thing i'm not really sure so because i didn't actually measure the placement of the door um in relation to the actual wall but that doesn't matter because i'm just do this so now we have it starts there it's a bit bit bigger and we can move that down to here and down here you have your match photo pane [Music] and we're just gonna press done so now this is matched up pretty nicely so what i can do now is just go from there and draw a square out along its red axis like that i'm going to put that in the corner shift to lock it and we can draw one out here and we want that on the other end here we go put it there shift lock it and well it's supposed to go a bit there pull that out here yeah we can just and here you can see this this discrepancy that sort of happens which is kind of weird actually because i actually think that so if i go down to my match photo pane here i can push this little settings ah you see i actually did make a boo-boo i thought i fixed that so we're gonna fix that there we go i'm gonna put that there i actually think that this is not gonna match oh she's not so far off so that's one uh one and uh for matched and if i rotate the camera you can see that you actually have your measurements of the different doors and stuff so what i can check now is to see how they match up to our control measurements so we have that door and that doesn't match up at all okay so before i do this i'm actually gonna match another picture let's go to this i actually got both doors in the front there that's better place that back in its place like that and i know the height of this should be right so i'm just gonna move these lines again out to about there cool now i can also see that this needs to be taller not much because i actually think that that is it actually doesn't because that should be it's it's a slanting roof so it has like this curve this little uh little like the skateboard curve here that you see so actually i'm gonna draw the edge wall here first red axis i'm going to put it on that i'm just going to delete all these excess lines this is somehow not stuck we're gonna delete that too oh cleanup will fix most of these things later but i try to get them as fast as i can even when i see them so we're going to delete this is there an inside face in this that i don't need maybe that's weird you're probably giving this one's a bit of a thickness before making this but yeah you're making a grave mistake my friends and then there we go let's take away these holes okay so always work in solids start with with a block instead of just a plane that was my mistake oh god the height here should be uh 7 17. so let's check that out it's 7 53 so it's not far off now we can draw i'm actually going to draw the rest of the room that should be our entire room the problem with this normally if you're really in the corner you'll probably end up in the walls uh and that in that case you have to hide walls when you're doing this but um so far it looks like it's working fine and then now that i think that these are pretty much in the right place we're also gonna do the slanted roof here and it starts around there somewhere and it ends around entire actually this is a lot easier to do just don't go to the edge i don't know why but then it will actually do this then for the cool part these guys checked and new do not do that cool so that's one roll down let's do the other end i guess i'm gonna do this first so my problem is that my vanishing points are pretty much in the same place [Music] from there down there that looks right move that up there like that down yeah and that's the problem is that i'm outside my area oh what the hell is going on now that was this black area the hell am i well i think i'm inside a doorway or something so it might be that i'm actually too far behind to get this right i'm just gonna go down and then i'm gonna go in here and create an active section active section planes and go back here cool i'm actually gonna take this thing there out let's put it in here okay and then we can go in here and we can press edit okay i think we're getting somewhere [Music] [Music] do [Music] [Music] clean up clean okay and now it works five meters and then it should be back to normal uh [Music] uh this doesn't make any sense i project from textures all right existing no don't part don't trim why is that not working that worked really enough okay just for the heck of it let's try giving this a default material go back to this and then project the textures that doesn't make any sense anyways at least that worked so i guess we're doing that it didn't work view hidden geometry select everything window clean up clean clean up now it's free five meters and then same with that one there we go okay this next part is a bit more difficult because i can't really move that i want to and so what i'm actually considering is doing one wall at a time but let's let's see if we can't do it anyways i don't think we can it's too narrow so we need to split this up somehow so what's a nice way of doing that that's only here [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] do [Music] [Music] [Music] okay then everything looks fine you just need to fix the windows let's mark it and project come on what the hell just happened what okay view hidden geometry it's probably because it's been smooth there we go view hidden geometry so that's probably because of this this ramp here that might be a place where there's a little hole like here see you hidden geometry and we're gonna un soften that i'm gonna do that in every corner i guess so i'm gonna do the same thing here and soften [Music] and soften that's good then geometry this is starting to look good [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] so now we're going to try another trick instead of using section cuts we're actually just going to go in here we're going to view hidden geometry we're going to select these guys and we're just going to give them the tag height we're just going to turn them off for now it leaves a lot of them what are these guys new hidden geometry slides to half there give it the tight hide hide it yeah sure okay let's move this out i'm gonna focus on this wall pushing our [Music] yes [Music] no good starting to get there maybe we can do it from the other end too [Music] no it doesn't match up so we'll we'll just do it from the front [Music] to this that's pretty close make texture unique there we go oh sorry take that away for now there's our ceiling just good enough and here we can also see where our lantern is actually hanging so maybe we can make a lantern from one of these guys here's a good one [Music] there my ladies and gentlemen [Music] twice one of these guys away i should give [Music] well [Music] life's spring copy [Music] [Music] she looks built into the wall so i think that's outside okay i feel good it's time to work our photoshop magic [Music] [Music] so so so [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] details yes [Music] [Music] and then it's just all about adding the final touches taking out screenshots making a plan and by this point i was so tired that i didn't even well try to make any commentary so this was a four to five hour job compressed down to about 40 minutes so if there's any techniques or anything here you're wondering about just write them down in the comments and i can make separate videos for each of the techniques i use in this video okay guys [Music] that will do it for today and thank you guys so much for watching remember to like this video if you liked it subscribe if you want to and i guess i'll talk to you next time [Music] you
