Very informative- great video
Awesome video. Work for a small gc company and we just finished framing a house. For the build we switched back to our original plumber that we used to use when I started. Between the two plumbing companies they each used PEX-A or PEX-B. Started asking my boss the difference and as with many of my questions he had no answer. Thank you for teaching me what I was looking to learn, and I'm settled on the fact the PEX-A is far superior in almost everyway.
B with brass fittings.
Great video! I've always preferred PEX A because of better flow and thought it just looks better than ugly crimp rings.
How about multi layer pex-al-pex pipes?
Great video!
The biggest thing I never considered was the restriction of fittings. About a year ago we did a basement reno and our one plumber recommended to a client who had water pressure issues, to go up from ½" copper to ¾" and then proceeded to install ¾" PEX B. Does this mean he more or less didn't upgrade the water supply system?
Wouldn't a sharkbite fitting resolve the restriction flow issue?
Thanks for the information! That was fairly concise and very useful. I would love to see a typical job broken down financially with type A vs type B with properly increased pipe diameter.
