PERFECT ENGLISH COTTAGE

[Music] hi everyone it's kirsten and i'm standing in front of our romantic holiday cottage in hampshire this is so dreamy and i want to give you a tour in a minute but hampshire is the place where jane austen was born and where she spent most of her lifetime and it's such a beautiful county in the south of england and i'm sure you will love it and this cottage has such a cute name it's called peppercorn cottage but first of all you should of course see the outside of this gorgeous thatched cottage we are so in love and it has such a beautiful garden and you know what we wish this would be our garden because it has the perfect size and unfortunately we only have a very small courtyard we wish we could change it and yeah this would be perfect maybe who knows what's going to happen so let me give you a tour we just arrived and we already love it hi yuck hello time is on yeah the fire's on so this is the small living room the very cozy living room what do you think it's beautiful isn't it so so nice and let me close the door first this is the kitchen with a dining area and to our surprise we found a cake this is one of one of your favorites jack a lemon drizzle oh it smells this is so kind so this is the kitchen it's absolutely stunning it's small but this is like the cottage of dreams i think this is how a cottage should be here's the bathroom i think they made such great use of the space and here we've got a utility room which is great as well so great the bedrooms are upstairs now this is a very narrow staircase and we have two bedrooms up here this is the master bedroom which is really cozy and what i noticed straight away in this house are the gorgeous fabrics and i need to blinds you the blind hair hang on now you can see it it's beautiful gorgeous lamp shades it's a lovely vanity and there's another bedroom next door with two single beds so it's actually for four people and for those of you who are familiar with cabbages and roses this somehow this fabric reminds me of cabbages and roses and maybe it is i don't know but i love cabbages and roses such cute curtains too it's a beautiful cottage we actually booked peppercorn cottage early last year that was pre-covert because we wanted to go to highclair castle downton abbey and we re-shared you for april but high claire castle is still close they will be opening next month and yeah we couldn't book this cottage for may and yeah so we have this cottage hi claire is still closed but we thought okay we go now and then film some gardens and lovely villages jane austen places that you will love and yeah high club castle is now resetting for july we hope it's going to happen then and we just hope you you will love the content we film here in beautiful houston we we are so in love with this county village chariton yeah really small village yes a small village but it looks really stunning and we are going to the pub now because we ordered some takeaway and we thought we would check out the village a little bit and film some houses just look it's really really picturesque [Music] and this is the plot called the flower pots in and they even have a brewery say we have our food now and go quickly to our cottage it's about a 10 minute walk so it's really really nice and pups opened for outside seating just this week and this pub was so busy but to be honest with you it's getting so cold at night i couldn't sit outside i'm just wimp and we'll show you what we ordered in a second so this is our dinner mine suffered a little bit from the walk these are vegetarian nachos and yogurt has got a burger with fries and you just opened wine as well have you had that one before yes it's a good one oh god how do you pronounce it i think we both look very tired it's been a long day how did you like your burger it was good it was really good it was a lot yeah it was huge it was a lot of food and it is a quarter to ten now and i think we call it a night yeah we do we will go to bed like in half an hour and then get up tomorrow morning very early so we can make the most of the day good night so good night [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we had an exciting day and i'm already in my pjs you will see what we did in another video and we just cooked i will show you what we have and we didn't film what we prepared because we made the very same dish in one of our videos when we stayed at the end i can link that for you though that visit was cut short this is what we cooked and it's it's such a gorgeous dish and so easy to prepare especially when you are staying at a self-catering cottage this is red lentil pasta tomatoes tuna and baby capers are you tired as well yeah i'm really knackered probably because we spent all day outside yeah we did some exploring this morning and we have the most amazing weather of course we will share what we did in another video but we came back to the cottage to have a tea break and this is where it's going to be yolk is already waiting we will sit outside we have some lemon cake left so let's dive in yet [Music] [Music] we came to a small village called yeah and we spotted some lovely attached houses and yeah we just want to have a look around and i actually i like the church here as well the clock is from 1905 yeah well it's beautiful church says 1897. it's a lovely church yeah but i guess the church is older than than the clock yeah [Music] [Music] back at the cottage you started cooking while i was filming something upstairs what are you doing here what is it that's diced turkey breast i'll make as a casserole oh that looks good yeah there's more in it yeah so red and green peppers and tomatoes small ones it smells delicious yeah and some mix herbs yeah very nice yeah it looks good you're getting hungry now i am i am this looks really good enjoy the egg thank you how do you feel good you know what i really love here i think the birds are amazing as soon as you wake up in the morning you can hear them yeah and it's beautiful they are really really loud but in a nicest possible way no it's lovely it's really nice you know what i do i just i step outside and maybe i can film them just the sound just listen to this and careful i'm already in my pjs but i can't listen to this this is beautiful and you know what we didn't want to leave we could easily stay one more week amazing [Music] my word the birds are amazing one last fire and the good thing is it was it was very very nice today quite mild but um it still gets chilly at night so you can easily make a fire [Laughter] so we have to get cracking now we have to pack because we have to leave tomorrow morning by nine nine am yeah and it's now quarter quarter to eight so we'll start packing and then have an early night yeah we'll do yeah so yeah i'm already tired me too it's i'm always tired when we're on the road because we we are outside all day long we film we walk it just wears you out in a good way it's a beautiful morning and unfortunately it's time to say goodbye now yeah we have to leave yeah but we loved every second here no the cottage is ideal for us yeah it's really beautiful and we love the whole area and we filmed a lot explored a lot and we hope you will love this video and that it will come across how much we really enjoyed it hampshire is a beautiful part of the uk it is and don't miss the next video because that's going
