CHRISTMAS IN THE COTSWOLDS - PART 1

[Music] good morning from the cotswolds hello say yak this was a last minute decision really last minute i think we decided on thursday to come here and stay for one night to film some christmasy content and just beautiful content and now here we are here we are our first stop is still on the walls yeah we've been here several times i think we spend a nice afternoon with your parents here yes yes it's it's a very lovely market town really worth visiting and we already we've already been to a shop called cutter brooks owned by amanda brooks she was i think very huge in the fashion industry and the shop actually is very nice it's really really nice we asked if we could film there and no they said no because they said amanda wanted to have a a say in what you film and we thought it was such a shame because bishop was nice and we wanted to show to you yeah we just wanted to recommend it to you and just film cute the beautiful christmas stuff nothing else and yeah well so we're filming another one we will film other shops and this here is st edwards church and it has the most amazing entrance it looks like from lord of the rings i would say it's really fascinating and what's really funny i spotted that on an instagram and although we've been here several times it's quite amazing because well the center of stone the wall is just there and the church is like next to the center and we have no idea it's really interesting [Music] and we couldn't resist and we bought something at the cotswold sweet company and this is what we got this was called imperial mints yes imperial men yeah we've got um jelly babies and i forgot the lemon bomb ones jelly babies and lemon bomb ones i think that's what they're called oh they look nice yeah have one i'll try one any good and by accident we stumbled upon the cottage we stayed out with my parents it's called heroic end in eberrington and i think where they changed it a bit inside but other than that it's a beautiful cotton chain and a very lovely village so i don't know if you can hear me it's just a quick pit stop and we're having um thank you free scum so this is the cheer room where we have scones it's called hopkins two rooms and it is the very same spot that we visited with my parents i think three years ago and well it's not it's not a fancy tea room or anything but we just have to mention it because the gluten-free scone i had yerg was absolutely divine yeah and mine was good too was it good as well so we can recommend that place although it's not fancy [Music] do [Music] we wanted to go to louis slaughter again we shared it in a in an older video and it is such a beautiful village but we couldn't find a parking spot it's such a small village no chance and we said we will go to our hotel now and we'll try to return tomorrow morning because although there is i don't know the video is more than two years two years old i think it's still we've never been here during the festive season so i spot a very nice house with some lovely decorations so maybe we can film tomorrow hopefully and now let's go to the hotel it's about i think yeah a 30 minute drive so not too bad [Music] do [Music] yoga and i just checked into our hotel this is buckland manor and we have a christmas tree in the room this is such a huge surprise and nice this is so nice you like it it's lovely i think i'm not sure we we we only booked their small room actually because we thought for one night we don't need a big room so this actually i think this is called uh small deluxe so this seems to be an upgrade because it's not fully booked so this is actually nice and you know what i spotted jerk they seem to have staffordshire figurines look yeah this is the other side of the room and here's the bathroom so this is the shower it's actually quite big tub toilet and what we will do now we might have 30 minutes left where we can film outside in a bit of daylight so we should do that we look very blue i think yeah we have to say hello from another room yeah we had had to change rooms yeah not because we didn't like it it was a strange noise in the room like a beep yeah like every 30 seconds yes and we thought if that would be all night we wouldn't be able to sleep because i don't know if you could sleep with a beep every 30 seconds oh so well so here's the second room i don't know i'm a bit embarrassed yeah yeah no no i'm i'm very embarrassed but uh we didn't know what to do to be honest um well still so enjoy the second tour this is our final destination hopefully and we also have a christmas tree here's the bed it's even a lovely sofa but i think what's really lovely about this room is we can see the garden and that's beautiful yuck do you know what that room is called i have to check do you know blue well one of our favorite colors anyway so and here is the bathroom [Music] so we thought we would come for a little stroll and show you the manner in all his glory because it's quite beautiful [Music] we wanted to present you our new house right behind us yeah that's our weekend cottage yeah got it got it no of course not i think even if we had like tons of money this would be too big yeah too many rooms too many rooms and it's just two people but we always love cotswold stone yeah because it's such a it's such a warm shade isn't it it's it's beautiful houses are just yeah really really beautiful we would really like that not as big as that one but kind of georgian georgian style would be amazing well you can always stream yeah it keeps you alive i think if you don't have any dreams it's not good no is there a an airport nearby sheldon oh i see you know yeah this is our new home yeah see this is our new home [Laughter] this looks looks particularly beautiful at night i think and our room yes should be yeah in the middle and the kitchen is on the left they're quite busy in there [Music] aren't we the perfect couple yes we are you know what yuck and i we had clothes on hangers and we didn't bring them yep and this is the first this never ever happened before so i don't have a clean shirt for tomorrow you do that he does have two clean shirts even two yeah and another um jumper and a have this skirt and everything else i have a pair of tweed trousers but nothing nothing else so you have to wear the glass tomorrow no no i can wear the dress but i wanted to wear such a nice dress for tonight but it's back home enjoying the cupboard so i don't know nothing you can do more important stuff going on i think [Music] we are in our pjs and i don't know what time it is uh what time is it 8 30 no no it's like probably nine yeah but uh we we are so tired um we had dinner downstairs but um we couldn't film not really no due to privacy if i didn't want to show the other people no it's always a bit tricky so when you feel that you can't do it then just leave it because it can get really tricky on youtube so no we don't want to disturb the privacy of other people no no but uh i don't know it's really windy tonight and tomorrow we want to explore or not not explore we know these villages but we want to film them for you and just want to capture maybe some of their christmas decorations and just the beauty of the villagers yeah they're wonderful yeah it's it's always so so nice to come here and have like if you just imagine if there would be a bit of snow that would be like the perfect yes the perfect christmas in the cotswolds it that would remind us so much of the film the holiday yeah you remember yet when we the mini in the snow the mini and the snow yes now i was what i wanted to say is before we came here we said jurg is graham and i don't know what i would i would have to be amanda but i'm not blonde so what was that amanda woods yeah yes we have to watch it again next week because we watch it every year for us it's a kind of christmas tradition yes we went to the cinema when it came out which was a spontaneous decision we absolutely loved this film yeah we watched it in london we watched it in london yes yeah and yeah it's the perfect christmas christmas film it is like high up there no it's not yeah so we probably watch a bit of tv and then pass out i think yeah do we'll see you again tomorrow morning say good night good night pounds
