no buy new cars and old buy brand names I go to Goodwill for my clothes a lot save money a lot by Morgan is the lab I chose I've rolled in a way up I use another day for all this junk IT my neighbors all hate me they abused and raped me cause I have energy yeah I do energy welcome to another episode of doing itchy well today is March 2nd and this wine was scheduled to be ready on February 21st but as you can see is still working and the reason it is is because it's kind of cool out here in this room this room is nowhere near 70 degrees so let's going to take longer because let's say it's cool out here however we got a couple of darker ones over there they look ready so stay tuned we bout to have us a wine tasting and I'm going to show you the next step you do so that you can store your wine for long term we'll be right back well hey y'all do it well I'm getting excited now this line was supposed to be ready February 21st and here it is the second day of March finally the black cherry plum stopped working the pomegranate plum stopped working and you saw on the little cliff there just before this that the Apple was just barely working what want to took the light bulb off of it remove the heat it's stopped so anyway we won't have us a little wine tasting here and I'm going to tell y'all in my opinion an honest-to-god opinion what I think about each one whether I feel as if success or a failure and then I'm going to show you what the next step is after you have made your wine and you want to store it I'm going to show you the first step towards that not the final step we actually put in the ball and forget about it forever but just before you buy what you need to do and it's called racking your wine and we'll get into that but first let's see it how a chef mmm I'm excited all right well this right here is black cherry plum and let's see what it is and all I did here I believe if I recall correctly as I had had two cups of sugar well I had to pour it into the bigger container add two cups of sugar because it's 2 quarts and some yeast and we'll put real gentle because I don't want to stir it much just want to taste oh my god it knock you down oh my goodness it's pretty it's uh it's translucent you see right through it so it's kind of nice color let's see how this takes challenges home you get a [ __ ] Oh oh my goodness for someone that's just used to great wine oh my goodness this is something oh oh I might get a chair [Music] at least a fool oh hi both oh this was simple sickly nature a simple choice black cherry plum 100% juice it says flavored juice blend from concentrate with added ingredients non-gmo 100% vitamin C it says on the side here contains 100% juice oh my goodness the funny thing is I've read the ingredients it says Gilder water apple juice concentrate aronia berry juice concentrate grape juice concentrate eccentric acid cherry juice costs and cherry juice concentrate plums used concentrate natural flavors ascorbic acid and that's vitamin C my goodness well I believe will pop all your visiting Tings of the [Music] oh yeah oh oh oh that's good that's a good rock there and ghetto crackers because they don't need them remember I want to die and now the 283 love law 21 pounds and four and a half weeks alright this is a pomegranate plum see how this turns out I don't wear little crap I'll be using the same glass this also has a very pretty color pomegranate plum another another juice of Alton all deep for two dollars or something I've never had pomegranate I like it is I hit for the smile on your face it's a pretty good for breakfast women say anything update yes it's almost 8 o'clock in the morning well I like that let's say I'm used to you know Welch's grape and I love the Welch's grape wine it's you know that's the that's what I guess that's the standard-bearer for you know that's the whether they call it cane taking the benchmark its benchmark for all my wines to mate with her like it better or worse or whatever because that's someone I've grown up with so I really like the Welch's grape wine so I have to compare everything to it now these wines although they're sweet they're not they don't taste as sweet is the great wine I've been making I don't know why maybe someone can explain you know maybe this type of juice is not as sweet as grape juice I don't know but I'm telling you this is for someone that doesn't like a really sweet wine this is turned out really good mmm really good alright man that was good mmm now we're going to try one more this right here ingredients is filtered water apple juice concentrate it's korvac acid which is vitamin C that's it so this is about the pure apple juice as we give that squeeze in our own for going to a orchard now I want to you that really looks nice in the flesh I wonder after Furman if it's lost its vitamin C if it had 120 percent daily value vitamin C for 8 ounces alright well this is very a very pretty color a bit melaka like this one Wow oh wow Wow folks I believe we have a winner all these all these doesn't quite well Wow as good people say you can't make wine with red youse can kiss my ass mmm people say you have to have this you have to have that how you don't maybe using your distilleries you store winemakers use you might you might get a little more alcohol then using bread makers yeast but I'm gonna tell you something that has damn thing wrong play them taste right there not a damn thing so I am very pleased remember those kids philosophy keep it simple stupid I'm very pleased with how these have turned out even though there's a week or so late is because of the temperature in this room not because there was anything wrong it all right now we'll be right back and I'm going to show you what our next step is for saving our wine okay we'll be right back all right folks look what what up we're going to do here we're going to do what's called rack our wine and racking is I don't know why they call it that I guess is because you put your balls up all right oh but what a mouse too is we're on a siphon the wine out of these containers into other containers and try to avoid picking up the sentiment that's on the bottom that's the whole idea here is we're trying to get our wine out of the jug without the sediment now personally I just leave mine in these same containers and I just pour carefully when I get me some have said in the preacher injury going on get out I'll be real gentle with it and I won't steer up that sediment and I'll pour me a glass real careful and heat it back down said back in there however I imagine him a feller got in my snootful he wouldn't be quite as careful and be swinging that jar around or a jug around and stir it up so I guess to make it drop proof what we need to do is we need to wrack our wine so I've got the brand new place your jars here Mason type of jar then I have wrenched out amount of your well water so by God essence that is a clean as it needs to be but all I want to do now is I want to siphon this wine out of here I'll just I'll pick this in colors closest I'm going to siphon my life out of this uh just into this jar and then into another job and I believe what I'm going to do let's see it says there's two four so I should be getting to two jars per good we'll find out okay so it's just and I've already cleaned it so let's just matter sticking my house in here and start a siphon and that's all there is to it so we're going to let this we're gonna let this siphon in here I'm gonna have to hold it down below here a minute we're going to let this up line siphon off into this jar and let me over down here here going good I just want to make sure that my hose does not touch the bottom and pick up that sediment okay so there is one jar and the idea here is now that I put it in this jar here we're going to give this wine the opportunity that if there's any any impurities in there if there's any bits of yeast left any sediment that it's going to settle now and I also want to put this in the refrigerator to stop any fermentation so that's what that's the story on this one I just agenda where we're at now and we'll see how much we get into this one I do expect it I'll pick up a little bit of sediment this time because I got to get a little bit lower down here and it shows but we'll see I'm looking at where my I'm looking for my timotheus come on is why variety your well closer all right so there we go now that kind of rack line now me personally I think this is a waste of time with a small batch you know and I'll show you why in a minute but I can definitely see the advantage of doing it this way with the say a five gallon container a lot of people like to make their wine five gallons at a time so I can see why you won't go through all this passing me personally I injustice in pour it and watch right along here for that sediment and just not for today of sediment in it because this is only step one of our racking okay and I can see my cloudiness coming here and so I'll stop it up there now what's left you can get this on camera where you see it don't know if you can see what's in there or not if you can now anyway what's left in there is yeast and who knows what all that didn't know good strong it's a it's yeast and waste byproducts and all that kind of stuff that doesn't need to be in your wine cellar what I'm doing is I siphoned off this one and in a Cleveland see them here the one I siphoned is a little bit clearer than the one I poured the remember where I poured from is always already down there to Bob all right so these two ready to go on my refrigerator where any possibility of fermentation will stop because of the temperature and I think well it was a shut mouth and go through the process one more time here and y'all can see it under that I just fast-forward through it and then we'll talk about it [Applause] okay I can feel a bit of stuff trying to come out of that so we're going to stop right there and then will siphon this and that right there I'm only I just believe in that joy in that good and pour out of it to drink it without mounted yours it's got the cool spell all right black cherry today I'm telling y'all folks it's pretty good stuff you want to get you want to get you sell it but then why this is called racking this is racking your wife and you want to you want to store some more cool I prefer the refrigerator that's going to stop my fermentation and then we're going to rack it one more time but that's your process you want to rack it a couple of times and okay Kenny locust I'm telling you they no reason clutter and bottle damn why not when you can make man very pleased the way this turned out I will tell you that after trying it right here in front of you trying to pour gently versus siphoning it I did find it siphoning it was better I stand corrected it was better then they just pour it on the jug because soon as I tilt it up and then sediment in the bottom it's trying to slide down and all that so you are better off siphoning the wine out of the container so there we go a lot to learn something I never done before as I just told how so these four will go on refrigerator for a couple of days and then I will get them back out and I'll look at them and I'll try to see if there's any sediment in there if there is sediment in the bottom that I want to rack it again if there is no sediment then that's ready to store you know you can bottle it and put it up but I'm very pleased the way it turned out and I really do appreciate you watching that's called racking your wine for those I eat one of what was your next step so take it put the frigerator to make sure your fermentation is stopped and then you have a couple days settle down and you should find any cloudiness will probably begin to dissipate because when your wine is working these bubbles are going right it's almost like boiling it's churning and stuff is being suspended up in them if in the liquid and then when the faction stops and begins to settle down then particles begin to settle stop at the bottom so that's the whole idea here is we're going to give this a chance now that it's no longer going to be fermenting we want to give it a chance to settle down and we ought to probably we'll find out it's a little little clear herb okay well
