[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] worship center family how's everybody doing this morning hey can we worship just a little longer can we praise him just a little longer can we worship just a little longer but I here together just a little longer can't we walk just a little longer can we lift our hands just a little closer if you love it just praises me get you up and just praise me hey can we worship just a little long can we praise [Music] [Music] sitting in the workshop Santa in the middle of winter but I need a word from the Lord all this other stuff that I heard it ain't working they out dripping beverages right on the edge and mayor Smith in so God will show up and show out show us what this holy word is all about I got my wife on my side she's got the side piece she is my piece on the inside she's my ride [Music] it's not good this Rhapsody I'm in here with my buddy just a little longer can we pray just a little we worship [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] let me pray cuz I stay in this flow yeah I just seen the whole sermon but my mind's telling me no but my spirit my spirits telling me a shadow fee nothing wrong with a little hallelujah I don't see nothing wrong a little break it down father in this atmosphere let us be reminded that we love because we were first loved and let this be a worthy expression of your heart that pushes the conversation forward and that your people are blessed that they are closer to you Jesus when this moment is over didn't they were when it first began we love you we honor you and it is in the name of the only one that has all power the prophesied and true Messiah Yeshua HaMashiach became he who it was written of the fulfillment of the law and the prophets behold I come in the volume of the book it is written of me to do your Will O God in the name of Jesus amen amen and amen I need you to give God 15 seconds crazy radical roll tide War Eagle type plays Hey yeah [Music] [Music] when I think about Jesus [Music] [Applause] to bring you a special announcement [Music] when I think about cheese's wedding that's with me when I think about Jesus can we set me free [Music] [Music] [Applause] I'm sorry sorry don't do it good way walked in here and the Holy Ghost Hey [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] alright Matthew 22 I don't think the worship center realizes the moment that you're in Jesus take a moment and help you to understand that what you're sitting in is the miracle and you're in the middle of it now I'm some of you may not know my wife and I we are associate pastors at Lakewood Church in Houston Texas and the Lord has just blessed us to start a work from the foundation of an existing work in Greenville South Carolina our church is called relentless church and it was formerly known as Redemption church but what I want to say to you is that I'm almost certain and I don't mean this in any unkind way but I'm almost certain that there are people here those who are watching online that do not know the level of the miracle that you are currently sitting in but I need you to catch it in the next five minutes so that the word that's about to be released will actually bear fruit in your life what a tragedy it would be for you to leave here 30 minutes from now having not changed most religious gatherings in America are consistent of a number of things including music a word and offering only for us to actually be clock-watching because we have dinner plans that are more important to our physical appetite than our spiritual maturity and God says I wonder if there's anybody that's hungry enough for me that they will let me break into their life in the next few moments [Applause] god only makes a doctor van and dr. Tighe once and everything that I read about God he doesn't put gifts of that level in nondescript places he puts gifts of that level in a place to unlock an entire region you don't have a local gift you have a global gift and I don't believe in preaching a word until we give honor to the leaders that you have one of the greatest theological minds of the 21st century one of the greatest teachers and preachers of the word integrity not to mention the phenomenal woman that he chose who is a brilliant Holy Ghost field teacher in the word an educator by trade in her own right those are your pastors to dr. van and dr. Tighe moody we give honor to you and celebrate you in your house can we celebrate them one more time [Applause] now I'd like to take a moment to give honor to the one that God chose to save my life and when I was courting her God said I sent her to save your life and I thought God was being facetious but he actually meant it because on our honeymoon the next day my wife woke up and said babe you snore and I said no I don't I don't snore I've been living with me 37 years she said yeah you snore and she is a respiratory care practitioner by among other things but that's one of the degrees that she got was cardiopulmonary science let me brag on you for a minute baby three degrees from Florida A&M University FAMU two more from region from Strayer University master's in health service administration she says you need to go to the doctor because you have sleep apnea it could take your life by the time I got to the doctor they said it was so severe that I could have literally gone into cardiac arrest at any moment and God sent her to save my life and not only that he then gifted her with the ability to extend my life by virtue of giving me a legacy in the form of my son who carries my name John W grade the fourth who is five years old and then eleven months later our daughter shows up 11 months come on somebody hey Jesus sir so our daughter theory Aspen sky shows up 11 months later so I want to thank you because Alabama has been good to me because my wife is from Alabama she's from Dothan Dothan Alabama so I want to give honor to you for being far more than I could have imagined or prayed for far more than what I understood I needed and I'm very grateful for your life here at the art of the heart if I don't give honor to the one the God gave me then why am I talking to you so thank you sweetheart so this is aventure gray can we please give her I just wanted to say thank you so much for allowing us to be here with you today this is a phenomenal work in the kingdom and we honor your pastors we honor you and we're just grateful to God that he has you placed here in Birmingham Alabama the work that you all are doing is phenomenal and we love you and we thank God that we're here in this moment because it's not by chance we'll find out a little bit later all of what God is doing but the meeting between your pastors and us is definitely a part of a greater idea that God has for his for his kingdom so we're excited to be here to celebrate the art of the heart with you and we love you already and this is not the last time you'll see us here if they have us back yeah we hope you might like told us we're not coming back when you started when I think about Jesus and what is done for me yeah that's just a little much but this is Birmingham they went right with us they know how to shop and let me tell you what else they know how to do they know how to cook down here yes I felt the Holy Ghost cuz we came over there to the we went to Bessemer campus and I walked in and they had grits I said this is my church I'm joining cheese grits a Mankato he's gay baby thank you won't he do it I done been to somebody's church they would you like some hummus maybe some broccoli that is like did you see my picture do I look like I eat hummus give me some bacon some fried chicken and stop playing you know what we we shared some things in the first service called the law of Eden and I sensed a shift when I came into this atmosphere and I just want y'all to flow with me because I want to go in a different direction I asked my wife to just flow and she's so gracious and she's brilliant so I know she'll be able to go wherever our role but it's very difficult to teach in a church like this because you already have the greatest teachers teaching you so anything I say would be redundant but I do believe that my wife and I have been gifted to share some things that will push the conversation forward everything in in our lives revolves around relationships it is the most critical aspect of our interaction we are relationship to God our relationship to our families our relationship to our spouses our children our employers or if you're an owner of a business your employees but relationships the idea of sharing something or giving something and then shipping it to someone hopefully who has the capacity to receive it many times relationships go off course because you have more more substance than the other person has capacity so many relationships go south because somebody has greater vision and the other person has the ability to produce how many women have been caught up with the prophetic gift of seeing the future of what a man could be and giving him credit for what he could be instead of giving him credit for what he is most women don't understand the prophetic nature and power that you carry because your nurturers by nature many of you and so you give credit for what he could be and then you try to raise him into it but if you got a raise the national child not your man [Applause] and so we have upside-down relationships where you're supposed to be covered but you're covering him and then we have a culture that is so averse to authentic manhood that we're now in an age where they they dishonor manhood they dishonor authentic manhood we're not allowed to be wrong man we're not allowed to express ourselves i my wife has all the lotion and all them perfumes and all these oils and candles on her side on my side is the remote control cuz I'm ESPN and I'm ashy cuz I'm a grown man if my wife wants to touch my heart all she needs to do is get chicken wings and Mountain Dew cuz that's Bible he will mount up on wings as a Negro Mountain Dew chicken wings that's good gospel I need some men in here I'm trying to help y'all marriage that you talking right I'm talking good and handled took me in something short so I can look at you cuz that's legal let me see some look at me never nobody cuz it's legal gonna get an Amen fellow Amen when we're dealing with the art of the heart our job is to push the conversation forward about not only building and speaking life into marriages but also encouraging our single brothers and sisters and whatever iteration of singleness you're in whether you have your young and you've never gotten married or you don't desire to be married or perhaps you are a widow or widower or divorced but those who are married and so for the next few minutes my wife and I are going to tag-team and share some things and what's in my heart is this scripture it's in Matthew 22 and I'm starting at the 34 verse and it may not on its surface seem like a relationship Scripture but if you let me speak for a moment I believe you'll catch it starting in the 34th verse new King James Version but when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees they gathered together then one of them a lawyer asked him a question testing him and saying teacher which is the Great Commandment in the law jesus said to him you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind this is the first and Great Commandment and the second one is like it you shall love your neighbor as yourself on these two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets I want to talk for a few minutes from the law of love I feel a shift the law of love Jesus is the culmination of Scripture he's the fulfillment of Scripture the Bible in Scripture Canon 66 books 1500 years over 40 different writers all pointing to one man the Bible itself is not just a collection of poems and wisdom literature and prophets it is a love story it is a love story that was written by our Heavenly Father to show us the power of a pure love a love that was so intense that it left eternity and chased us into time to bring us back into eternity that principle of love is the guiding principle by which we as men are to pursue our wives not until we get them but every day that we have them I'm getting ready to go there I'm trying to help somebody and I know dr. moody is teacher and young that's very good it's ostentatious and y'all know a lot of big words and that's very assist attune but I need a couple I know that's right better say that I mean that I just need a little bit of just a little hood just I need to feel that just I mean hey hey hey I need that alright ok stops John stop it John I will for too long men have been silenced in this culture they don't want to hear from us they they want they want muted manhood we're not able to be the leaders God created us to be they don't want us to be the hunter-gatherers the priests the prophets that God intended but I believe that if we get back to the law of love if we identify that we were first loved and this is this first John that's on here what a great Scripture this whole idea in first John it makes it clear that God is love and we we love because we were first loved the law of love and I'd like you to grab a couple principles but here Jesus is in the middle of a test they're trying to trick him and of course he knows that it's coming and so he he answers they're asking him what's the greatest commandment he said first of all I love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul with all your strength somebody feed the baby get the baby some Cheerios some fruit roll-ups in the second it's like it you shall love your neighbor as yourself if I am ever going to be in a healthy marriage that honors God the first thing I'm gonna have to do is love God with all my heart with all my soul with all my strength because the danger of love because it's very easy to love somebody it's hard to like them but it's easy to love because if you can see God in a person you can love them and a lot of people get caught up in love but there's multiple kinds of love there's agape then there's Phil EOS and then there's arrows and sometimes we take arrows where it was supposed to be a copy and we take Aris of where it's supposed to be Phil yeah so we get romantic with it but God wanted that to be a platonic relationship to push you into another season of destiny but if you're immature in your emotions you'll try to turn what was supposed to be a brotherhood and a sisterhood into something romantic and now you lose the potential of what was supposed to be I've got to learn how to love God with all my heart with all my soul with all my strength because if I don't and I'm immature in my emotions when I find the one that I need I'll try to change her last name to Christ and she can't save me and too many relationships have made the other person a saviour type and when you see their humanity now you don't want to have anything to do with them but they were never everything you need it they were just a part of what you need because thank you dr. Tally's dr. Tighe agrees God will always leave a god-sized hole inside of you that only he can fill yes that's it that's it coming out of his love he will let you try to fill it with other things so when you're done he'll be like I was here the whole time is there anybody that's tried to fill that hole and it didn't work so my first responsibility if I'm going to be a husband that understands my my rights and my roles is to love God with everything I have then the second thing is to love my neighbor as myself and I'm not here to talk about perfection I'm here to talk about brokenness because for seven years my wife has dealt with a neighbor that didn't understand love oh no they're ready dr. famine I'm gonna say it anyway see because y'all see TV and all of that stuff but what my wife has done for me is she's literally loved the brokenness until God could get to it are there any other women in here that have had to love a man who was broken he couldn't even tell you where the pain was but you had to love him in it until he saw it for himself I want to celebrate every woman that has loved a man who was broken and he couldn't even tell you where it was and fellas if you've been loved by like that you need to celebrate that woman if she's in here or if she's at home can we celebrate whether it's a wife whether it's a sister whether it's a mother fellas let's celebrate the women who have fought for us when we could not fight for ourselves it's not enough men in here clapping stand up fellas let's make some noise for these women [Applause] the law of love there were so many areas where I was both broken brode that I didn't even know and so I was existing in a relationship that was supposed to be the place of intimacy and openness but I was holding on to things that had had me held hostage for years and because of that the love that she was giving me I looked at with suspicion how could you love me telling what I said how could you love me when I don't love me I would ask oh say why are you here she's like because I see you I was like well if you see me then why wouldn't you leave she's like because I see you I'm trying to help the worship center that's right because just because you're looking don't mean you see see girlfriends have sight wives have vision [Applause] I need a 10-second praise break in here ten-second praise break right there for those who don't know what a praise break is that means you get up or stretch your leg out and you clap and give God a crazy praise see fellas you need to celebrate if you got a wife cuz a girlfriend will see you struggling she'd be like I'm out because I'm looking for the next opportunity but a wife is like this is not what I signed up for but I'm gonna stay here until God works it out [Applause] cuz you don't marry for better or for better you don't marry for better or for better you stood there and sin for better or worse sickness and health richer and poorer so why run off when the poorer and the sicker come that's when you're supposed to stay because what you manifest at your lowest is who you are in your highest if you can't stand with that man in the bed why would he want to celebrate you in the good get that spirit of girlfriend off you wives sticking stain and pray that man through until he realizes the God in him it's so much greater than what the devil has whispered to him [Music] emotions are inconsistent don't trust them the devil loves to play with your emotions and have you feel in a way because we don't feel good all the time it's not gonna feel good all the time but it's what you do when you don't feel good that produces the power for your purpose later on I'm sorry husband go ahead be sorry keep going you and the Holy Ghost you can't allow yourself to get caught up in if you can't flow with the man while God is growing you pruning you shifting you adjusting you then how are you going to sustain when the Lord brings the world to you to see it shines a light on you you have to have it together for your husband when he doesn't have it together for himself we're called to help and to heal and to and to provide peace in ways that he can't get on his own that's why that's what our rib represents peace rest in the brokenness rib rest in the brokenness give that man his rib can you give him the rest and his brokenness and the peace he needs while he's broken only on your place as a rib and even if you're not yet a wife carry yourself like one if that's what you desire until the man who is called to find you hear me find you because we don't chase we get chased it's the word he that finds a wife finds a good thing not the woman who applies to let him see her [Applause] [Music] haphazardly showing up in the place where he will be smiling and all of that play your position that's what I was doing I was serving God in a church when my husband found me and I didn't always have it together and I didn't always get it right I'm telling you from experience I decided to do it a different way I decided to do it a God's Way and the law of love me also means that you lead from love I know some of us have been hurt and broken from relationships but if you never give yourself an opportunity to love and be loved then you may be cheating yourself out don't allow the devil to hijack your feelings and hijack your emotions and the hijack your purpose because you can't see past your failed relationship don't you know that failed relationship was working for your good had I not been through the terrible relationships I experienced before God got my husband to me I wouldn't have the the requisite character and weight to be able to carry what he has I wouldn't have been able to recognize that when it came had I not been first in failed relationships that were working for my good which means they were actually successful I just didn't know that they were the failed relationships were successful in getting me to understand my destiny and the wife that I am to be for the husband that he trusted me with [Applause] because this is a trust relationship he has to I trust that God that my husband is hearing from God and he has to trust that I'm hearing from God on each other's behalf to be careful who you place in your ship you you allow to relate to you because when the ship gets rocky will they stay can we thank God for this word right here [Applause] where are my single women still stand out for a second single ladies all the single ladies are a single lady on a single leg out of thin leg put your hands up all right right remain standing for just a second I need to speak something over you that my wife just said and I want you to grab it if I be a man of God then receive this you are the favor factor you are the favor factor what that means is that any man and this is for the women who desire to be married because maybe you're single and it's by choice and it is a choice if you if you wish to be but for those who desire to be married let me tell you that you are the favorite factor which means this the person with the favorite doesn't chase the one that needs the favor I've been told to shut up I guess I guess that's good if you know who you are then you better carry yourself like you're the one holding all the cards if he knows what's good for him he will run after you because you multiply whatever he has in concentrated form you are the favor factor so stop distributing your favor to someone who has a very back turn a covenant into the equation stop giving wife's benefits to a boyfriend and then wondering why he doesn't choose you then wondering why he doesn't choose you when he's had at all men are hunter-gatherers and it becomes easy even if we don't say it we lose respect I'm trying to help you and some men who are immature was a girl if you love me you'll let me you know you let me then hit him with this first job well the Bible says God is love so what you're saying is you God me or you would do to me what God would do if he were you God would never uncover me so are you saying you love me but you're living opposite of the character of God my mom by the time you finish with that he should already have his keys hell he got a car and he's already out or he shows up because because here's the thing God is putting you in a place where your favorite will draw the one that was designed yes God and so you got to get in position and some of y'all have been wasting time in relationships first of all I don't know who this is for stop praying because the answer was no when you ask him the first time [Applause] you don't put out 15 fleeces god no no no no no and I'm asking ask God for what he wants for you to get his will accomplished too many people try to get married for passion when you need to be marrying for purpose because if you marry for purpose your passion will come there's a lot of people that got married for passion and it didn't last because there was no purpose attached so once the tickle of the physical is gone what do you have what do you have you can sit down ladies you are the favor factor Jesus she let him chase you it says to love your neighbor as yourself Jesus I struggled with so much self-doubt and self-loathing that it was very very difficult if not impossible for me to receive the love that God sent through my wife and so there have been struggles with this idea that I could be loved by another individual particularly areas that I didn't love myself in and what God does in a marriage that reflects the kingdom is this principle of Christ in the church in the earth that's what the model is and I'm supposed to love her like Christ loved the church even giving himself a ransom and I remembered there have been moments in my marriage and I'm like god I'm doing good today he said have you died yet because me dying is not a one-time thing I have to lay me down daily for her needs I must lay me down daily for what is to the benefit of her and them to children because I don't care if I preach all over the world and have TV shows and be at Oprah's and all of that is nice God ain't gonna ask me about none of that he a man how was it when you had tea with Oprah that was nice he doesn't care he's gonna say tell me about that wife I gave you and them kids did you cover her did you love her did you pray over her did you pray over them kids did you pay them bills like I told you were you to insecure in your manhood that you needed to whisper of somebody outside your house to tell you you were something special well my god and so I am to love her until I have laid myself down and then one day I will lay down and won't get up but until then my covenant is in force and I I say this cuz my godparents are here how long y'all been married mom and dad hunter 50 years in December my godparents Jeremiah and Natalie hunter he's from Mentor Alabama and they now live in Alabama but I knew them when they were in Cincinnati and they've been together 50 years and I can't imagine that every day was good but they still here because the law of love is not the law of emotion it's not the law of feeling because love's not a feeling talking about I don't feel it anymore what you're talking about Jesus is on the cross that was his greatest expression of love you think that felt good buddies now they were feel good go stick that thing in the side great put another crown of throwing oh yeah I love it what didn't feel good but it was for our good and so love is never what you feel is what you do in spite of what you feel so the law of love is I will do what honors builds and blesses her even if it costs me everything because Jesus gave that type of love to me and if I am to be the physical representation of Christ in the church in the earth then whatever it takes for my wife's dreams and hopes to come to pass I will do it I will honor her and I will lay me down and in return she gives me a love that I can't define gives me a legacy I couldn't create and gives mother hope that I that I can't contain this is the power of the law of love finish this back in the green room you know it's legal it's legal I love let me say this too as as our time draws to a close I want to speak just for a moment to the men of God because men have been so vilified and dishonored and all manner dogs no they're not they're men that love God they're in this room they're at the other campuses they love God they love their wives they love their children they love the community I want to celebrate every man that lays it on the line that fights to take care of the bills gets up early and ladies we need your support and your celebration we get enough drama out there we don't need to get beat up when we come home we already know we're not perfect but we need y'all to celebrate us now this man y'all standing up but when we celebrated y'all all two men stood up ladies y'all need to celebrate these me and out here working hard to the husbands and fathers we don't even know how to do here we just put a barrette up there or a headband but we do what we can let us be men don't try to feminized us people are like get in touch with your feminine side I don't have a feminine side I have an emotional side but that doesn't make me feminine the part of me that was feminine God took a rib made her when I found her I found my feminine side yeah and I'm not talking about identity I'm talking about the the construct of God honoring marriage that men have been attacked and vilified and I know that it's not easy and some of y'all like me you don't know what he been doing we in the modeling he'd be looking around he's a man he's a man I'm not saying that it's perfect and it's okay but he's a man and you've got to allow God to work those things out in him because here's the truth the fact is him being married makes him attractive to other folk but he's coming home to you he chose you and if you like my wife if you need to take your earrings off and just let them know what you're looking at girl what you're looking at but I know I said you could I can if I need to I'm having fun by saying but I say this to say we try to act like love the marriages in a vacuum like life doesn't happen life does happen sometimes we get on each other's nerves we're gonna work it out because I'm the house bad I'm the husband I banned the house together I don't care what we argue about I ain't going nowhere there been times when we fight you get on my nerves can't stand you I love I don't need you don't go nobody I love don't touch me kiss me don't touch me at all hold me hold me and and that's the thing and I ain't had to go I've been in and we've been arguing you get on my nerves I can't stand you and I ain't going nowhere and I say that in the argument and that ends the argument because the devil thinks that my anger will cause me to leave I know his trick I'll be angry we might not speak about - no but I'm gonna be in that bed tonight I can tell you that right now and you're gonna be in that bed tonight and you might not have nutmilk in that bed tonight cuz we mad and I ain't going nowhere tell some ain't going nowhere going nowhere if your husband or wife is me you're gonna get a feel get a good hand for right quick go ahead just come on is legal it's legal it's legal if you're here with your spouse hug them kiss them do something telling me love them y'all scared like Jesus don't be watching y'all he that's right he know what y'all be doing y'all nasty y'all Basti saved and nasty Wow anything in your heart as we end cuz we over tell ya we are I just want to say that there there are clearly gonna be ups and downs in life and they're all purposed every storm every obstacle is assigned to you to grow you but there's nobody else in the world that I would want to go through those times with and my husband and four people becoming you guys becoming is a constant state you don't become at the altar the day you say I do you become throughout the length of your life together it's a constant state of becoming you're learning each other you're growing there are some things about each other you won't know until you're almost done with this life but the beauty is is that you get to wake up and try again and learn something new about the person that God is giving you and also when you come together you are two very imperfect people and the way you were raised may not necessarily be the way the other person was raised so those two ideals collide and you guys have to decide and determine at the beginning not to let the devil ride on those places of disagreements or things where you guys just didn't know was important to the other you guys have to talk and communicate I know they spoke on the law of communication and the law of your heart make sure you take care of each other's hearts there's nothing more important than taking care of each other's hearts the way the Lord has loved on us and graced us and given us through grace for the many times that we have failed him it's been hard to forgive it's been hard to see past what is right in front of our faces especially in marriage that's what the devil wants you to focus on but if we can focus on the grace that God gives us we would be so much better and fight for peace if I can leave you with anything it's fight and run towards the peace of God when everything else around you is in a chaotic amen let's pray Lord Jesus thank you for this moment thank you for our time together I pray that for my single brothers and sisters that they will have hope that they are not forgotten that there is purpose in their singleness that they can serve the kingdom and if they so choose or have a desire to be married one day will you give them the grace in their singleness to walk with integrity holiness and honor until such time as you deem it necessary for the right person to either find them or to be found by the right person then God for all of those who are married ask that you will strengthen the bond of marriage and rekindle the flame of romance and creativity and that if by chance there have been breaches in the marriage we still understand that it is our garden and nothing gets in the garden without our permission and because we own the land we can kick anything out that doesn't belong and we can pull out whatever is trying to crop up in the form of weeds in our emotions or in our intellect or in our physical and we declare and I pray along with my wife that every marriage is strengthened because the enemy hates marriage because it reminds him of his ultimate end yeah and so God I thank you that you have decided to stay in covenant with us when we were not faithful for your word says when we are faithless you are faithful for you cannot deny yourself so God thank you for the Worship Center the unbelievably amazing church that is sweeping the southeast and changing the narrative of cross-cultural multi-generational ministry education and business we love you and we honor you in Jesus name Amen amen amen we love y'all [Applause] come on can we give gotta we can't clap for praise for our gesso on today pastor john and a vinter gray were so honored to have you listen in that same spirit as you take your seats in that same spirit one thing he said that resonated with me was that God created in all of us a spot that only he could feel
