be here we have a special privilege this morning of hearing from some amazing friends of the house so if you want to turn your attention to the screen jesus image church we love you guys what's up jesus in this church it's michael and larisa with upper room uh we are here in dallas and want to just say hello that we love you that we're praying for you that we're standing with jesus image church so excited about sunday mornings coming to jesus image church and the family that's uh coming together there i believe god is building his house in this hour and there are new houses emerging in cities like orlando i believe that jesus image church is emerging to answer some of the complicated questions that culture's asking i believe the shakings that are happening uh houses like jesus in his church are emerging because they're being built upon the unshakable revelation of the person of jesus christ and i am so confident in michael and jess's leadership and their ability to allow the lord to build uniquely something there through jesus image church that's going to serve orlando serve the nation and the nations yeah i want to just bless you as a body to keep that pure and simple devotion to jesus and in this crazy hour that we're in it can be tempting to overcomplicate or get distracted with what's happening when jesus is a great leader he's a wonderful leader and if we keep looking to him and we keep following him he will keep us in this time he will keep our souls whole and steady after him so i bless you to just maintain that pure simple devotion to jesus as a church body yeah he's doing something really fresh and sweet and so being a part of a family and watching it unfold in every season is so um it's so beautiful but can be a challenge because many of us haven't haven't been through a process like this so we from dallas want to encourage you uh the upper room family is standing with the jesus image family we believe god has put us in covenantal relationship together so let's go for him and see a generation captivated uh for the lord so honey would you like to pray yeah father we thank you for this church body we thank you for their love for you we thank you for their love for each other god we thank you that jesus image church will be known by their love for you and their love for each other god thank you for that lord we pray um just a blessing over everyone at the sound of my voice god and i thank you that you're preparing them for increase you're preparing them to bring in um all your lost sons and daughters you're preparing them who sits at the feet of jesus is the most mature just lift your hands to the lord and let honey drip from your lips as you pour out your affection on the lord tell him what he means to you jesus you're beautiful come on i can't do it for you tell him what he means to you thank him for saving you shedding his blood giving you new life [Music] forgiving your sin jesus thanks [Music] just would you just lift your hands for a moment close your eyes forget about everything about the lord himself you know jesus said blessed are the pure in heart but they shall see god the vision of jesus is the inheritance of every believer so just lift your hands for the lord gaze upon him with these natural eyes closed wonderful jesus by the holy spirit make yourself real to every person this morning and we long to love you more and it's our joy to worship you it's our honor to worship we will worship you forever and ever and we love you and we need you manifest your presence here let the hard-hearted those who are searching even the skeptical those who are skeptical jesus and even those who think they're burning touch us all and everyone in between but there is more in you let your wonderful presence settle on us just lift your hands as an act of worship the bible says lift up holy hands unto the lord lord we come with hands lifted yielding our bodies our lives our minds and we say thank you come on this is the front door this is the front door thank you for your blood thank you for dying thank you for being our resurrection thank you for the holy spirit four of you are thankful for the holy spirit thank you for your word that you honor above your own name thank you jesus for your church each other and thank you for calling us and baptizing us into you and into the church we are your body you've rescued us from the bondage of sin and death and you've transferred us into the kingdom of your glorious life thank you jesus that that grave is not our home thank you lord that this world is not our home you are our home you are our home thank you for your mercy and your grace and your love thank you for saving all of us when we wanted nothing to do with you you told your disciples you did not choose me i chose you this is amazing grace thank you for the cross set to the lord take pleasure here with these people with us and live with us for generations i said and live friday that was something that we always did in our family and i just am so excited that we get to come before the lord together and worship the king of kings on good friday and then easter we're going to have easter morning right here that's going to be amazing and then we're also going to have our sunday night service for easter i would not miss it some of our great friends stephanie gretz is coming with us on good friday she's going to be singing with the jesus image crew my dad wasn't coming but he's like i want to come so i'm like well come on then dad so he'll be there and just some corinthians 9. i'm going to start there i save my spots in the bible by all these little notes that my kids write me through through the years this is really cute this was at jesus 18 benny i think you did this one and it is all said jesus people love him they are hungry all he has little notes about who jesus people are and who they are in jesus so i saved these things they're so precious to me thank you benny boy i put you on the spot there but second corinthians let's start at nine we're gonna go verse one through two i'm gonna skip to verse eight five i'm sorry five through eight so this is paul talking and and this is my heart for us as a people that we get so excited to give to jesus i really want to shift that in this culture in the atmosphere we it is an honor and a blessing to be able to give to the lord it all belongs to him none of it's ours anyways we he just it's all jesus's and and i really like with my own kids i want them to be joyful to give before the lord so this is what paul was saying he said i really don't need to write to you about this ministry of giving for the believers in jerusalem for i know how eager you are to help and how i have been boasting in the church in macedonia that you in greece were ready to send an offering a year ago that's how eager they were to give before the lord a year early they were ready to give isn't that amazing in fact it was your enthusiasm that stirred up many of the macedonian believers to begin giving and that's my heart that our enthusiasm as jesus people to give before the lord will have a rippling effect and be in front of the whole earth and people other people would see our generosity i want to give to jesus amen okay then go to verse six remember this a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop but the one who plants generously will give will get a generous crop you must each decide in your own heart how much to give and don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure for god loves a person who gives cheerfully and god will generously provide all you need then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others amen i have one more verse i want to go to real quick we're going turn back to second chronicles we're gonna go chapter nine let me get my notes i write all my little notes in my phone i become that person but it's okay give me one moment haha joking i think it's another portion i wanted to share with you you know what never mind it's when solomon was speaking and he was saying it all belongs to you jesus this is not ours he was they were giving before the lord for the temple and he was saying it's all yours jesus and that's the heart that we have to have before the king of kings right it's a joy to give to jesus so let's just close our eyes real quick lord jesus i just thank you holy spirit lord that you'll just speak to our hearts jesus lord i thank you there will be joy in generosity jesus for your children jesus lord that we will not give grudgingly lord that we will not hold back what already belongs to you jesus that it will be our joy to give our tithe and our offering to you jesus i thank you jesus to just the the thought of holding on to everything we can lord that that will break today in this generation jesus lord that we will have hearts before you that give lavishly lord that we worship with all of our heart that we give what we have with all of our heart that we give our time with all of our heart jesus that everything we have we give you our best in jesus mighty name amen amen so we can bring the sensitive to that not too sensitive but kind of sensitive you know i'm looking at the richards here and uh a picture came up i don't know how i saw it of uh i think maybe the ministry posted your testimony was it jesus 18 19 you gave the testimony and 18 the lord touched you uh grab grab that mic there ryan look at that mike there so i can can i just in a couple minutes just to talk about the difference what the lord did in your heart so maybe we start with brit stand up right your hat is phenomenal [Applause] you know i'm not even sure john i'm not even sure john needs to say anything he can just smile at everyone if you smiled into the mic it probably would cause a move of god you're an incredibly joyful human being how many of you know that uh depression is extremely overrated so is seriousness did you know seriousness is not a fruit of the holy spirit focus and seriousness are a little different but anyways brit how did you walk into jesus 18 and how did you walk out um i was desperate it's funny because that's the word i kept hearing and worship all morning like lord just make me desperate every day but i walked into jesus 18 um to be frank on the verge of wanting to kill myself wow i didn't know that part suffering terribly terribly with anxiety and depression um i couldn't really make out my thoughts like what was real and what wasn't real like i couldn't tell what i was thinking what the enemy was saying to me and i remember being really open with john about it and it was funny you talked about like a year before they had in their hearts that they were going to give well john and i bought tickets a year before wow for jesus 18 i had just had a baby 2017 so we couldn't make it and we always say like the lord knew the place we would be in we had no money at that point but it was all paid for already wow and we actually our car was in repossession and we drove it here like a thousand miles away stop to repo it if you're doing 90 down 95. i mean we were like well i guess they'll have to find us we'll bring it back and so i mean you know that's real life oh my gosh that's awesome we did we did and it's awesome and it's live around the world yeah so go go ahead they took it a couple of years ago they have it now it's fine but uh it was great it was just a crazy time we were just so desperate and i remember days before we left i just opened up to john with gideon sleeping in the backseat of our car and i just told him the ugly things i was thinking and john put on defender from upper room and i can't even say the word defender without weeping and the lord just met me so strongly and i remember thinking like i can believe one more time for the lord to heal me and i got to 2018 i was watching steph gratt's worship and i was looking at her in the back of the room thinking there's either a well that i haven't fallen into or it's all lie there's no other way either these people who are singing these love songs to jesus have found a place in him that i've never experienced even growing up in church where it's not real and i refused to leave from the back of the room until the lord met me and he did and it didn't come from a touch i thought it was at ben's altar call and i thought he was going to pray for me and he prayed for the person to my right and my left and i was like see the lord doesn't even care about me yeah or ben doesn't yeah and or ben and i remember um they started vacuuming around me and john was like we have to go and i was like but i didn't get healed and john was like let's just let's just go talk and he took me into like a back corner at the conference center and just started to like wash me with the word and he was like i'm just going to give you a minute and i sat there across from the lord at a seat in the back of the conference center and i remember telling the lord like i i just don't know what's real and what's not real and like a rolodex in my head verse started popping up and i started to realize that either what i was believing was the truth or what the word says was the truth and there was no other way so even if i didn't feel it it didn't mean it wasn't real right and so i started to recognize like the lord truly is my healer and that his blood was sufficient for me and that what i'm hearing is not the truth but what the word says about me is the truth and what the lord believes about me is the truth and i started to believe the word more than i believed my reality and in one second the lord healed me wow [Applause] wow amazing thank you lord thank you lord you know that uh thank you brett um isn't that amazing and how are you doing now i'm great then you came to jesus school in 2019. yeah we came to jesus we actually applied right after i got healed like that day that day that's awesome we went and we applied and our the way we got into school was crazy we didn't know you didn't get in on the spot i we didn't and um yeah that we have an acceptance yeah i didn't nothing really happened the way we thought it would for us and we sold everything and moved here yeah tell them what did you move down with you're just your coffee machine right yeah you love that part you know it's interesting we've had this is so funny just keep the mic there so um we i'm thinking of two people one is rivers she sold everything and moved down with just a printer so i asked her you sold everything but your printer why did you feel like you could not separate from your printer but you could your car and maybe your clothing i don't know she's like not this printer and she she drove down with the printer i think in the back seat with no money and it was the first day of orientation and she walked in and tuition was due a certain amount and she she's like i'm i am coming by faith she got in line and uh by the way for those of you thinking about coming this doesn't replace you getting a job to pay for your tuition and the amen all right so she came in and she gets a phone call while she's waiting in line and somebody paid off her initial deposit it somebody called the ministry yeah she's they said i feel like there's a student who needs tuition and rivers was in line and she got her tuition paid and so the richards decided to move down sell everything but burn espresso they're nespresso proof that they have children amen amen amen we're glad you're here i love you both so much just keep smiling john we'll let you talk sometime in the meantime just just smile it probably says more let's grab that mic there ryan can we give the lord praise it's so beautiful thank you lord thank you lord all right so wonderful um what i'm about to do is risky in that it's possible that some of you might judge me nonetheless we are family and we need to move forward together without going into the details to to rent this room and provide all of the sound equipment much of it we own it all chris we own all this by the way that's what i'm going to talk about but the platform even the curtains we're talking about thousands of dollars a week and this is probably not the setting to share with you the exact number of of the cost all that to say sunday night is a massive number and so is the school and so all i can say is is that our rental costs uh are are large and that's an understatement by the way and the lord has been good and the ministry is in wonderful shape and the ministry is being blessed i just want to say that thank god and i want to thank everybody who watches from around the world thank you for supporting the ministry and for all of our partners so grateful but all that to say i felt like i needed to bring a point of contact to the church family and that was this i'm asking all of you who have a bible to write these words in your bible father thank you for our land and building in jesus name i want you to write that in your bible by faith and so what i'm asking you to do is every day as a church pray and confess it when you're leading really especially when you're leading um but just living the christian life there's much god just puts on your lap and there's much you gain by rest there are other things you have to gain by putting your swords in the soil together and really it requires the holy spirit to determine which season you're in now my our dna here is probably more prone to worship and wait on the lord to see what doors he opens and allow the lord to bring it but this specific instance though we do have land under contract let me say this specific instance it seems like it's requiring a bit of war do you follow me and you have to know where you're at which season you're at so last night we had a staff meeting by zoom god help us um and we were talking about the walls of jericho and how praise and worship brings the walls down which is true but they also marched around the city for seven days which was let's just say required an act of the will so yes they worshiped yes they praised but they marched silently around an entire city that required cooperation and a bit of faith in action how many of you know you're walking in faith when you're walking with an entire nation around the city and you're not allowed to talk three million people going around orlando maybe downtown orlando over and over and over again so you learn which is which and jesus said you have not because you ask not so there is this area of asking in the presence of god so i need all of you to touch this thing daily by faith if you want a home for you and your children and your grandchildren say amen i would love to watch our grandchildren grow up on a piece of land that is bathed in the glory of god say amen say amen so that being said to move into that's number one to move into this room all of this equipment cost three hundred and ten thousand dollars all the equipment for the children no 316 i believe uh the pipe and drape the children's equipment the setup equipment the audio there it is all broken down and i'd like you to put up how much the lord has brought in already can we okay so that this is amazing the lord's brought in two 224 thousand dollars so this is not a gimmick this is just these are real numbers and we're all going to have to do this together so if at the end of the service or if you're watching right now um you would like to help us really i've been that mostly has come in through the sunday night service the cost is specifically to get sunday morning started and we can travel all of this equipment on the road which is incredible and by the way we are taking jesus nights on the road for a jesus tour and our first stop is upper room in dallas the the the the date is already set we felt to go there more details on that to come but we are going to hit a few spots in america this coming year and really take what the lord is doing here in orlando to the nation that being said a lot of this can travel with us which is wonderful because the rental costs are crazy let me just put it that way we don't have to rent anymore all of this stuff say thank you jesus so that we'd still need to get about what is that 90 that's nothing for the lord i said that's nothing for the lord so if you're watching if you're here in the room and you'd like to do something you can just text morning to that number on your screen morning to that number on your screen in jesus name all right close your eyes for a moment let's all agree father in the name of jesus we come together as your children come on i need you on this one we come together as your children and we thank you by faith for the land and the building and favor with the county and favor with the city lord would you touch their hearts would you speak to them would you show them that the kingdom of god is a blessing to the city thank you lord right now that you're moving on the hearts of men and women who make decisions do it in jesus name lord move the mountain and cast it into the sea you said if we would agree touching anything come on guys this is a big deal i'm telling you this would change the trajectory of everything for generations lord in jesus name you said if we would touch anything in agreement you would do it and so we come by faith right now trusting you to remove every obstacle every perspective anything in the spirit that would hold it up move it for the glory of your holy servant jesus in jesus name and i thank you for every penny for the audio equipment that will touch the nations and the millions will be born again in jesus name amen now seal it with praise seal it with praise amen amen amen all right by the way yeah good friday is going to be crazy steph will be there leading with our crew my father-in-law will be helping with communion and ministering to the sick and i'll be preaching many churches are coming that are represented in the area all over america really and uh man the fields literally are ripe with harvest amen they are white with harvest they are ripe they are ready and i think fields across america are going to be filled with jesus people loving on them amen so come good friday and be expectant it is palm sunday this is a holy day for many christians it should be a holy day for all christians but this is a very very special time i grew up making palm crosses as an altar boy and all the altar boys had to make these little palm crosses out of actual palm branches that were blessed with holy water they smelled beautiful for those of you who grew up orthodox or catholic you know what i'm saying really a precious tradition and i told jesse i would love our students next year to make palm crosses and give them to each of you as you walk in greek families take those bomb crosses and they save them they never throw them away and you can look back at generations and generations and generations who had these palm crosses in their house that were a testimony that jesus is victorious and today is a very powerful day to teach the gospel i love that painting and i asked them to put it up but today biblically it's a loaded day so take your bibles to genesis 49 verse 8. say this out loud jesus is king say it again by the way tonight for sunday night service we are receiving communion for the first time we're receiving a joint communion with upper room by media and zoom so their feed will cover the split screen our feed will cover the split screen and everybody in the room will be able to see each other may god bless our media team and help them talk about a complicated project i love all of you and i just love our media team you're the best in the world you're the best in the world i would love for you to come stand up here but then the cameras would all go crazy but we'll find a day to honor you do you know people come in to our services and try to steal the media team i know may the lord may the lord help them may the lord help them yes so tonight will be a very special night of communion with our peru genesis 49 verse 8-12 look down at your bible pages are turning which is a pleasant sound judah you are he whom your brothers shall praise what tribe is jesus from say judah your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies amen your father's children shall bow down before you judah is a lion's welp thus the name lion of judah from the prey my son you have gone up he bows down he lies down as a lion and as a lion who shall arouse him the scepter or the kingdom shall not depart from judah nor a law-giver from between his feet until shiloh comes and to him shall be the obedience of the people prophetic promises regarding palm sunday zechariah 9 9 rejoice greatly o daughter of zion shout aloud o daughter of jerusalem behold your king is coming to you righteous and having salvation is he humble and mounted on a donkey on a coat the fall of a donkey another translation says your king comes to you lowly lowly riding upon a donkey what will jesus ride when he breaks the eastern sky a horse a white horse right which also is prophetic nonetheless you must be trusted with a donkey before you are trusted with the glorious horse lowliness precedes glorification isaiah 56 7. too much bible sorry very quickly i know this is this is a great way to just help you out we worship a lot here for a long time so i just want you to know we're going to sing a lot around here and and i will from the house of the lord where did jesus go when he entered the holy city straight to his father's house this is loaded okay when he overturned the tables because people made a mockery of the temple king james up then he brought me back to the gate this is ezekiel's seeing prophetically into the future he brought me back to the gate of the outer sanctuary which faces east and it was shut then the lord said to me this gate shall be shut it shall not be opened and no man shall enter by it because the lord the god of israel has entered it therefore it shall be shut as for the prince he shall sit in it as prince to eat bread before the lord he shall enter by the way of the vestibule of the gate and go out by the same way jesus listen carefully jesus entered the holy city by the eastern gate the ottomans when they occupied the holy land i find this super hilarious close the eastern gate in an attempt to keep the messiah from entering all right so so check this out when jesus returns they actually think that eight inches of brick is too much for the one who just pierced the sky and returned in a glorified body think about that i know what we'll do certainly he cannot handle concrete i students have heard this it's kind of like adam and eve losing everything and i mean everything do you know everything you have ever suffered finds its origin and and yielding to that temptation every issue in the world finds its origin there and their amazing idea their remedy to fix that calamity was this quick make us some underwear made out of fig leaves that will solve the every world war every divorce seriously every sickness every person lost their idea was quick make me some underwear and this is really a feeble attempt it's the same thing this we have to keep the messiah out of the city we have conquered when the ottomans conquered it and if you go to jerusalem today which by the way we've already started conversations for an israel tour in 22 uh yeah it'd be a great time that gate is still sealed and and and as we as as i continue to share more scripture and we're going to talk about the return of jesus and how that ties in um two two palm sunday let's look at john's account of palm sunday here john 12 verse one and we're going to read through 19. john 12 verse 1 through 19. all right then six days before the passover jesus came to bethany where lazarus who where lazarus was who had been dead whom he had raised from the dead and that is also part of his entry by the way into the holy city it's connected there they made him a supper and martha served but lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him imagine that jesus is sitting at the table with the resurrected lazarus then mary took a pound of very costly spikenard and anointed the feet of jesus she lived there she lived low there's an old saying if jesus wants your worship don't give him a tuna sandwich martha seems to love doing things and though those aren't bad in the presence of jesus they kind of are in that in that if jesus wants worship he wants worship and there's nothing we can produce outside of love to make up for not giving him our love okay mary anointed the feet of jesus and wiped his feet with her hair that is lowly and the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil but one of his disciples judas iscariot simon's son who would betray him said why was this fragrant oil not sold for 300 denarii and given to the poor this he said not that he cared for the poor but because he was a thief and had the money box and he used to take what was put in it a couple things i want to touch on here number one judas never understands worship that spirit always makes little of worship you didn't get that that spirit through deception elevates taking care of the poor even though they don't elevates let me put it this way it demotes the blessedness of worship and elevates social work that they don't even do and if you look at the america today thank god for worshiping churches who are actually feeding the poor because worshiping churches are filled with his presence and when you're filled with jesus's presence he leads you to the poor there's a real deception going on especially in america it's it's it's it's it's a move against intimacy and trying to replace it with fixing society by bringing reconciliation the only problem with that is you cannot have unity around unity you can only have unity around the presence of god and if you don't worship you will not have the presence of god and if you don't have the presence of god you will always be divided why are we united because of jesus think about it movements that unite around initiative initiative alone have to keep the initiative going just to stay alive and they lose the twinkle in their eye but you think about the heroes that we talk about today whether it's catherine whether it's joel uh jose stand up look he's got a shirt with amy on amy simple mcpherson i love that i'm watching our drummer and he's got a shirt with amy on there i'm like i love our team it's amazing what was so beautiful about amy the presence of god what was so wonderful about catherine the have with you always it doesn't mean don't feed the poor it just means feed the poor with jesus in your countenance and you can't have that unless you're with him so there's a spirit at work here that judas spirit that hates worship and makes little of worship and tries to justify the hatred through social initiative not realizing that the fuel that changes society the reason i can empty my pockets is because i know jesus is watching it's a presence issue does that make sense so if i don't give the poor my money which we should if i don't it's a presence issue to me i i fear that he'd turn his voice off but the church the moment the church demotes worship the church loses the presence of god and when the church loses the presence of god it is no longer a church it cannot be because jesus said i will build my church so if he's not there it's not his all right sorry i'm supposed to be teaching but it's the truth so so so if you get people i look at this crowd so many different colored faces if you get people looking at the lamb you'd be amazed at who god can bring together really some of you make more money than others some of you are from different places in the earth but when you come into his presence he blinds you to everything and that's where you experience being the family that's how it happens and so judah speaks up here he's like i don't like what she just did of course trumps anything you think you're doing for him now a great many of the jews knew that he was there and they came not for jesus sake only but that they might also see lazarus that's fair enough he had been raised from the dead but the chief priest plotted to put lazarus to death also because on account of him many of the jews went away and believed in jesus the next day a great multitude had come to the feast so the next day a great multitude descended for passover on the holy city of jerusalem and went i added that part when they heard that jesus was coming to jerusalem they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet and cried out hosanna blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord i read that to you guys that is from psalm 118 that is the prophetic utterance of the messiah coming blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord the king of israel then jesus when he had found a young donkey sat on it another prophetic fulfillment as we just read as it is written fear not daughter of zion behold your king is coming sitting on a donkey's cold his disciples did not understand these things at first but when jesus was glorified i love that then they remembered that these things were written about him and that they had done these things to him what does that mean when jesus was glorified they remembered do you remember when jesus said i believe in john chapter 7 why the spirit had not yet been given do you remember his answer because he had not yet been glorified so this is pointing to the coming of the spirit in that now that jesus was glorified the spirit came and all of a sudden the disciples remembered everything they had read in the old testament and jesus said that of the spirit he said he will remind you of everything i have ever spoken which is old testament included he's the word made flesh so the best way to remember your bible is to read it with the holy spirit become a friend of the spirit therefore the people who were with him when he called lazarus out of his tomb and raised from the dead bore witness for this reason the people also met him because they heard that he had done this sign the pharisees therefore said among themselves you see that you are accomplishing nothing look the world has gone after him oh i love that i said i love that now we're gonna wrap this up listen carefully jesus this is so powerful you may want to help me buddy but just softly jesus receives ministry at bethany and one of our most consistent prayers here is lord make us of bethany say it out loud lord make a sabbath okay jesus chooses to rest at bethany and be with his friends there's a big difference between being a galilee and a bethany he worked wonders in galilee but he rested at bethany i want that because if you get the rest of jesus you get resurrection power that raise lazarus you get it all we'll talk about that another time so jesus jesus comes to bethany mary pours oil out on him and he says something she's anointed me for burial all right he leaves bethany that's about a day's journey to jerusalem and he has to go over the mount of olives he gets to the mount of olives now you have the mount of olives here a valley called the kidron valley and then you have jerusalem or mount zion here so it goes mount of olives kidron valley which is where all the tombs are so he would have to walk down that valley and up toward jerusalem and while he looks at jerusalem from the mount of olives he begins to cry and he says jerusalem jerusalem how i long to gather you as a hen gathered her chicks and then he pronounces the judgment tells them what would happen and then he says why because you didn't know the hour of your visitation check this out listen catherine kuhlman used to say in her opinion the greatest sin was to ignore the lord obviously blasphemy is the worst but she wasn't speaking in that context she's like it's dangerous to ignore the lord it's very true jesus was saying to jerusalem the reason you're going to go through all that judgment is because i was there and you didn't know a people a church a family goes through many difficulties that they don't need to go through because jesus was there and they didn't give him attention so jesus goes down the valley and he walks up up towards zion and that's what we call going up to zion up to jerusalem and he walks through the eastern gate okay that's what happened that's what we just read when he walks into the eastern gate listen carefully riding on the donkey that's what we're celebrating today picture this may the holy spirit reveal it to you he is wearing mary's ointment imagine that here's the king riding lowly coming into the holy city through the eastern gate and as the wind is at his back or from his side whichever direction the wind is blowing people are aware of the king they smell his fragrance and that's what the holy spirit does today the holy spirit takes the fragrance of jesus that symbolizes the character of jesus in the old covenant the anointing oil the spices all speak of a different aspect of who jesus is calamus is a sweet fragrance speaking of sweet fellowship with jesus cinnamon speaks of worshiping jesus myrrh is a burial anointing saying that jesus is the lamb of god who would die all of this fragrance coming off the lord throughout the throughout the old covenant in the high priest now jesus comes in imagine he's riding into the holy city on a donkey and the wind is blowing and the city becomes aware the king is here because mary anointed him a day prior your worship listen this your worship here makes the world aware that jesus is real you pour your oil on the lord it'll change the world hallelujah as bill would say that was very good good job bill zechariah 14 4 listen carefully and in that day speaking of the second coming listen his feet will stand on the mount of which mountain did jesus come down when he entered now he's speaking of the second coming listen he will stand on the mount of olives which faces jerusalem on the east the east gate and the mount of olives will be split in two from east to west making a very large valley half of the mountain shall move north and half south all right this is too much this is way too much but we need it i just want the spirit to force feed us and we'll just hope to get it all right when jesus comes down the mountain on on palm sunday and enters into the eastern gate that was his way of saying i am the king one day my feet will land on the same mountain but this time the mountain will break in half listen carefully and with the saints with ten thousands upon ten thousands he will walk through the same valley and walk into the eastern gate and take his father's house and rule and reign as king of kings and lord of lords from the holy city of jerusalem palm sunday this is amazing palm sunday palm sunday yes it's a beautiful day but it's speaking of another day that's why we read blessed issue comes in the name of the lord that is another way of saying you are the messiah listen carefully and the messiah must be king and you can't be a king unless you're anointed with oil so the nation was saying you're the anointed one who's been bathed in the spirit that's why you're the only one who can baptize in the spirit because he rests on you eternally that's qualified you you are the king why did he raise lazarus i'll tell you why when he raised lazarus it was a prophetic declaration that he would be your resurrection it was his way of saying i'm coming to the eastern gate but i'm no average king i raise the dead that should make you happy really happy because if you pass away let's say here in orlando or florida south in 100 years whenever that might be the one thing you're going to hold on to is this he is resurrection every other series you will not remember i guarantee you you're not going to remember the series on how to fulfill your dreams the one thing you're going to remember with your family standing around your bed is this he is resurrection he is life he has secured my eternity all right so that's what jesus declared in closing why palm branches oh this is good and if you don't know jesus you're going to want to revelation 7 9 why palm branches revelation 7 9-12 after these things i looked this is john experiencing the lord in the book of revelation and behold a great multitude which no one can number of all nations tribes peoples and tongues standing before the throne and before the lamb clothed with white robes speaking of the redeemed with say palm branches in their hands and crying out with a loud voice saying salvation belongs to our god who sits on the throne and to the lamb and all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped god saying amen blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our god forever and ever amen amen now why palm branches because palm branches speak of victory they speak of victory do you remember when david came into the city after he began dominating the philistines what would the women sing saul has killed his thousands and david his so jesus enters the holy city as victor listen carefully when a king took a city he would enter the city and they would line the streets and the people in the city would declare the victory of the king jesus comes in and the children the little ones begin blessing him carrying palm branches laying their clothes on the road a declaration that jesus is victor they didn't know jesus was going into that city to die not just die to plunder the grave and come out of the ground i want you to see jesus focus coming into the city yes they're worshiping him but he is on a mission listen carefully most kings risk their lives to take the city and once they're in they do nothing jesus is the only king to come into the city to die and to destroy the grave forever and every time they waved those paw branches they were declaring you have conquered satan they didn't know but jesus knew so they tried to shut him up and what did he say if they don't do it the rocks will cry out even the rocks knew who came and what broke open at the cross the rocks the rocks screamed and worshiped because nobody would that was a fulfillment of jesus's words stand your feet would you please hallelujah can you move this i want you all just to listen to me very carefully with no one moving nobody moving with every head bowed and i closed it is very very probable in fact certain that many in this room are not yielded to the lord jesus maybe you've looked at him in a way that was your own way that maybe he is not as glorious as he really is maybe you've never seen jesus in that light what you heard today is the gospel it is the victorious king death listen carefully is not the inheritance of the blood bought the grave will not hold our bodies the bible says when jesus returns that the graves will open those who belong to him that they'll receive new bodies as they meet the lord in the sky and forever they shall be like him death has been destroyed completely completely and there is no reason to stay in your sin listen carefully my friend there is no reason to stay in your sin there is no reason to stay in bondage this morning by faith palm branches are waving we're declaring that jesus is the king but he wants to be the king of you you see what what is jesus jesus after most you he wants your life he wants you he wants to redeem you he wants you to leave here this morning listen carefully having dusted off sin and death like he dusted off the grave so that even the fragrance the garments of sin the porn the addiction the the the anger the the bondage the hatred the unforgiveness the the cycles in your life and even generations prior to you every other ism behind you alcoholism everything else god wants it to end in you this is the power of the gospel is that you can leave free whom the sun sets free is free in deed you do not have to leave here the same if god brought you in here for any reason it was to save your soul i feel the holy spirit calling calling because jesus is coming back those prophecies i read hundreds and hundreds of years prior fulfilled in the life of jesus what are the odds you say it's hard to believe what is more true what is more proven you say michael i want i want to know what it's like to be free i want to know what it's like to be forgiven i want to know what it's like to leave with a the lord for our school our house and the entire ministry lou said that the greatest musicians in the world and the greatest vocalist in the world the greatest worshipers that they would descend upon orlando florida to jesus image and that word began to burn in us and we began to dream about what it would look like to one day have a school where people would come to worship jesus and be in his presence and receive his word when a church was birthed in that same worshiping atmosphere and what a beautiful opportunity that we have as a jesus people to come before him and to be at his feet and to pour ourselves out before him worship has the potential to unlock things that really nothing else in the world can unlock and so we decided about a year ago to launch a an opportunity within the jesus school setting for those worshipers for the musicians for the singers for the dancers for the artists for the poets this is going to be a place where you can come and you can learn and you can grow and we have highly trained instructors who are going to be coming they're going to be teaching instruments they're going to be teaching vocals anything that you can think of with worship it's going to be there the worship is not about us we worship for him so we want to invite you to come come worship the king of kings with us so come and be a part of what the lord is doing come and give
