Paladin Leveling Guide Classic WoW. Kargoz Tribute

all right ladies and gentlemen so um I think I recently discovered that that cargo's channel doesn't have any videos like did he get hacked and all his videos got deleted or something like what the hell is going on here um so you can see he still has a hundred thousand subscribers but he's got no videos like what the hell um this is a problem for me because cargo's had one of the best um uh classic World of Warcraft Paladin um leveling guides that I'd ever seen and I just never really bothered to make one uh for my channel and I don't think anybody else really bothered to make one for their Channel because cargo's basically knocked it out the park with his his um leveling guide um so since uh fresh is coming out soon and there's a lot of new players coming and there's a lot of new people who want to play Paladin and they're probably looking for a leveling guide and I couldn't really find one worth a damn I mean my friend minnow had one that that but I didn't look at it too deeply um I probably should so minnow might actually have something um give you an idea of minnow like literally it was like me talking to jacova me talking to minnow like you know I'm telling me proc chances and stuff um anyways I think he's still on my friends list as well minnow where are you at anyways um so I'm gonna I just have to do the tldr of of cargos's video plus what we currently know on on the subject but again minnow might have a decent one but then minnow is also watching my videos and being like yeah let's go do that so I guess it's it's it's all I guess I'm just a guy now great awesome I'm normally a long-winded person so I'm gonna try to keep this as short as possible but I have a bunch of videos on a bunch of different things okay so as near as anybody can tell when you're leveling Paladin and classic World of Warcraft um and this this basically goes for all all classes the number one stat when you are leveling a character in World of Warcraft is fun and that means are you having fun yes or no okay um it doesn't matter if you're on a quest to get the best gear in the game or to level the the fastest or this thing or that thing if you're not having fun none of that matters if you burn out in the end so the the number one stat above all stats is have fun so even though I'm gonna tell you what the best thing to do is if you want to go do your own damn thing and have fun that is going to the fun is going to be superior than than the optimization if that makes any sense and that also goes for rating and don't ever let anybody tell you different yeah definitely okay so um what seems to be the case with Paladin is until you get to level 20 you can basically do whatever the hell you want you can gear however you want um you can Tinker with anything you want um things only start to diverge with Paladin uh once you hit Level 20. and even once you hit Level 20 you can you still can do whatever the hell you want and what I mean by that is usually people will get like a smites hammer from dead mines and they'll go seal of command and they'll just keep leveling up to level 30 with uh smite's hammer and any other slow 200 they can get their hands on putting just every single point they can possibly get into the retribution tree that's basically how they rock and roll so that is easily one of the fastest ways to level from 1 to 30. things change at 30 which is why I'm saying 1 to 30. however we've recently discovered and I have a bunch of videos on this that it's equally fast and equally viable and technically probably possibly for you a lot funner I know it's a whole lot funner for me especially on PVP servers since I don't feel like a a hard hitting blimp dick like I I don't have any HP behind me so if anybody jumps me in PvP I got problems I actually feel like a palette in this gear but it turns out that it's perfectly viable to level um from the word go using nothing but stamina intellect gear so I've done the tests I've done the math I have videos on it basically proving that the kill times for strength stamina and strength into a stamina intellect are virtually identical um in fact including recovery time and so forth and so on so you can level just as quickly from 1 to 30 using stamina intellect gear um your gearing looks a little different your weapon prioritization looks a little different because um fast weapons become the best possible weapons for uh the stamina intellect geared Paladin and the main reason for this is that your main source of damage is coming from um seal of righteousness rank three um All Seal of righteousness Rank 3 has more spell power ratio behind it per um hit than any of the other ranks meaning that seal of righteousness right three out scales every other rank of seal of righteousness in the game to the point where there is no point in you actually learning any other seal of righteousness rank in the entire game there's a a an exception to this when you're max level by all means uh get all the ranks when you want to wreck bomb someone you want to use the max rank but as soon as you're done you use the max rank that's ranked eight you judge it into the target but then you immediately resale uh reseal rank three because rank three is where all the spell power is at uh that's not entirely true your weapon might be slow enough blah blah that's neither here nor there um you can figure that when you get there but just know that seal of righteousness Rank 3 has 15 spell power ratio for one-handers and it has 20 spell power ratio for two-handers and this is regardless of weapon speed and this is why using the fastest one-handed or the fastest weapons possible is is King with um the stamina intellect build but basically what you do is you judge Crusader under the target so you have some spell power ratio and then you just use seal of righteousness Rank 3 and use the fastest one-hander that you can possibly have um so for example right now with this nightly long sword which is a 1.5 speed weapon and yes we will be talking about this weapon again um at my current uh 80 spell power um this weapon does about 20 damage um but like wholly damage per weapon swing at 1.5 seconds that's actually ridiculous DPS when you start factoring that I get three attacks of this weapon for every like one um a two-handed attack so I'm just doing 60 holy damage in the end compared to the guy with cl command who's just hoping he gets a seal command proc every attack which I think is like 40 percent chance or something like that per attack but then there's also seal the casino meaning the it's basically you double up on the chance to uh Dodge Perry and Miss which really sucks blah blah blah blah I'm sure you can watch uh videos on that it's just it's just not good um so yeah anyways until one to Thirty you can do whatever the hell you want oh and the fast two-handed weapons are also really good searing blade is amazing I really enjoyed that weapon while I was leveling um but yeah the fastest weapons possible absolutely amazing um once you get to level 30 the cargos video uh made it abundantly clear that um the the best way to go by far is to get into a stamina intellect geared Paladin build and to um well now we know to use a nightly long sword but I can't remember what sword they suggested um nightly long sword and you use the mighty uh seal of light the reason why things change at level 30 is because that's when you get seal of light if I recall correctly I remember it's level 30 or level 32 but you get seal of light somewhere around there pretty sure it's level 30. um seal of light and seal of wisdom say that you get mana and health back on uh per melee uh swing what it doesn't tell you is that there is a two-thirds chance of these procs to happen and these procs are regardless of weapon speed so once again we're all funneled into uh faster is better um and basically seal of light lets you start AOE tanking mobs Like a Villain um because um like it's literally like 28 HPS uh from seal of light and Judgment of light with like a nightly weapon as fast as nightly long sword it is actually ridiculous uh how much you get back once you get level 38 you get seal of wisdom and seal of wisdom with a nightly long sword also does stupid things I just did the math on it recently for a video it's it's like 184.44444 MP5 it is actually ridiculous and then level 46 when you get um your next rank of seal of wisdom it's like 280 MP5 with a nightly long sword um the nightly long sword I did the math um is pretty much your end game weapon this stupid green that you can buy off an auction house get get the one with stamina don't bother with the Strangler strength helps with you block value but it's not not that big of a deal um get the one with stamina so it'd be like six stamina six seven stamina nightly long sword um this weapon is a weapon that you can be in next gear and you'll still be using this damn thing um the only weapon in the entire game that you can use for Paladin that is superior for AOE farming and getting Mana back then your damn nightly then this level 33 Auction House Green is a level 42 um epic you can also buy off the auction house called flurry ax and flurry ax is the exact same speed it just has a spell power ratio I mean a chance to proc extra attacks so a slightly faster than than the nightly long sword but then you'll also find that when you're AOE farming you don't really want the Target that you're attacking to dial that quickly because you really just want to leech as much Mana off of it as as possible before you tab Target over to a fresher mob and then and judge the uh light or wisdom on it and rinse and repeat the process so the fact that nightly long sword does less damage okay I'm gonna pause on that the fact that it has low DPS is a bonus for AOE farming as as a paladin I'm not joking so and then it gets even dumber because if you try to replace this with some other weapon um like I compared it to um like let's say you go up to like a 1.6 uh speed weapon but it does way more DPS on the target yeah um you actually end up losing a terrifying amount of MP5 when you're doing that so like it's at rank one I did the math you end up losing something stupid like 11.5 um MP5 going from um a 1.5 to 1.6 speed weapon and then at rank two uh which is level 46 you end up losing like 16 or or more I didn't actually do the math on it but it was it was a lot um definitely over actually it'd be like more like 18 MP5 it's it's ridiculous so you're just better off uh sticking with the nightly long sword so once you get nightly long sword uh that's basically your bis AOE farming weapon um for the entire game until you can purchase yourself a flurry ax or a hand of the Edward the odd or other things that I talk about in videos but for leveling purposes nightly long sword all the way to 60 I am not joking unless you can get your hands on a flurry ax okay cool um for single targets uh the best weapon for you um assuming you're still in stamina intellect gear is actually crowd manual pummeler which is really easy to get out of gnomragon and because that weapon has a two two second swing speed and at a 20 ratio it basically does the same spell power ratio damage as nightly long sword except it's got 29 DPS you can pick that up at level 29 for single Target purposes it's also got a proc that's insane but it has limited charges so you're just using it for the base weapons um you don't really replace that for your single Target weapon for a million years while leveling it's really hard to find a better weapon than that one but eventually you will but you'll just find that single targets are usually not worth your time and you're better off sticking aoeing with your nightly long sword okay cool uh now that we got that figured out again have fun if you want to do like a a whole two-hander thing all the way to the end there are plenty of videos on that weapon progression and and that style but that that is that is not the most efficient style um by far and just about any guy that even follows the two-handed stuff will tell you that once you get level 42 then definitely switch over to the AOE farming because at level 42 that's when you finally get to have both Consecration and uh blessing of protection at the same time and that's and you have basically your full toolkit of AOE farming comes online as a paladin and it's just objectively better for you to be a stamina intellect Paladin at level 42 nobody disputes that but what a lot of people don't know is that it does it it you can start it's supposed to start up at level 30 with um seal of light and then it really gets going um then you can even start it even sooner with [Music] um damn it what is it uh just from the word go with uh seal of righteousness rank three okay cool and yeah you're always using sealer right just the spring three all right cool so the only other thing to really talk about and I'll come back to that stupid seal of righteousness rank three thing again here what the heck do we want here we want the gear stuff is the shields the shields are a fascinating problem so you might think like oh it'll be really fun you know I'll go to this dungeon and get that uh that shield and I'll go to this other dungeon and get this Shield over here um that's not really how it works uh just like your stupid sword uh the best way place to get a shield for you while leveling nine times out of ten is the damn auction house and I am not joking and the reason for this is because um Shields vary on what kind of weapon enchantments they have so for example some Shields don't have um of the eagle that's really what you want that's the stamina intellect stuff okay that's cool now this might be an offhand Shield yeah of intellect of Eagle but then other Shields actually do have um the random Enchantment of of the Eagles so stamina intellect and then other Shields when you get even higher up have uh weirder things like um blocking let's see if I can find one yeah okay blocking right here did that other one have blocking no it had resistances fire resist yeah so the the kind of enchants well the kind of random enchants you get on Shields are not consistent they're very inconsistent but then eventually you get um blocking and you can see here blocking is like plus plus 10 strength and then uh three percent block chance um which you might think is so your options for Shields are uh plus three percent block chance okay um then other ones are of the of the whale okay we don't have of the whale here so I guess I gotta go to this other other one of okay so I got of the wiggle which means of the whale of the whale would be stamina Spirit um of the of the eagle which is stamina intellect and then there's one other option I think it's protection yeah yeah our defense uh defense skill so those are like the four options right we can go stamina Spirit stamina intellect defense or plus three percent uh block chance on your Shield um there's also an armor consideration because you know well the shields go up in armor and that's also a thing too right um so is this blue better because it has more armor than this other thing like how do we quantify that while we're leveling and that's a good question and the answer is I'll just straight up tell you the the damn answer um so the answer is um stat prioritization priority is always given to armor armor is better than any other stat on your Shield period end of story this only changes at level 60 when you get into very specific Shields that do very specific things with very specific gear blah blah blah but while you're leveling armor is the number one stat priority regardless of just about any other stat on the shield um the second highest priority um is probably stamina and specifically like stamina intellect and you could argue that blocking counts as stamina You could argue that defense uh counts as stamina right it's all the same difference but at the end of the day the ideal shield and uh it's it it's best for me to explain why the ideal Shield is the ideal Shield so the ideal Shield is a level what the hell is that that's just an annoying you're just in the background out here aren't you all right so the ideal Shield would be a high armor Shield that is stamina intellect which you're not really going to find anywhere ever um I think there's like one in maradon um that's blue that you can get from a dungeon but almost always the of the eagle Shields are gonna are gonna be green they're gonna be on the auction house um a high armor of the eagle um stamina intellect why is this the way to go and while you're leveling you're going to find issues with it too but you're gonna have like uh this massive Mana bar that you'll drink for like 30 seconds and it won't really matter one second let me pause the video here someone at the door I think okay we are back all right so the scenario I'm trying to describe and keep in mind I've tinkered around with it um myself so I know what I'm talking about here unfortunately um no my mic might be away from my mouth um is you're gonna find this weird scenario while you're leveling that you have way more Mana than your um water can actually handle and I can showcase that in a second while I'm talking um but basically uh you're gonna find that you're gonna drink the most up-to-date water that you possibly can that you've bought off a mage or something like that and it doesn't even it it'll it'll fill up like 60 of your Mana bar or like uh 80 of your Mana bar you're like what the hell um so okay give me a sec get some Mana back all right so let's let's get on a seal of wisdom here and I'll show you exactly what I mean I'm I'm level 35 which means my water is currently up to date I'm going to show you the out of date water though so this is the level 25 water and this is the level 35 water right so my water just um became different and I want you to look look I'm halfway done drinking and I'm not even halfway through through my Mana bar and this is this will be a feature that you have while you're leveling um what it usually turns into is that you need to drink um a little bit more than 30 seconds in order to get the job done you can see that that did a pretty good job right I'm actually more impressed um that that than I thought with that I'll show you what the up-to-date water looks like by by comparison um as soon as I can run out of Mana Jesus come on run out of Mana thank you and drink okay that's what the up-to-date water looks like by comparison um but basically right so you're gonna be so you're going to run into a pack of mobs you're going to judge seal of wisdom on them you're going to reseal seal of wisdom and you're going to uh vampire a bunch of Mana Back and You're Gonna Start consecrating and you're going to AOE you're going to be aoeing them down right um and you're going to come out of that fight and you're going to notice yeah you can see it's almost perfect um so you you're going to come out of that fight and you're going to have something like let's say you're in full stamina intellect uh um Paladin gear your Shield stamina intellect uh your weapon is like a stamina thing and blah blah blah blah um you'll come out of that fight with like 20 of your Mana bar remaining and then you'll sit down to drink and you'll notice that you'll your drink only gets you up to like 90 mana and it's really annoying and you just keep thinking to yourself you know maybe I should swap out I don't need all this Mana this is getting kind of annoying maybe I should use a different shield like of the whale for Spirit uh ticks while I'm drinking um or I should use a blocking Shield maybe that'll be better or a defense Shield maybe maybe that'll be better right um the answer is actually no and I'll tell you why um there's a certain level of RNG when you pull a pack of mobs so you'll go out you'll pull like a pack of five five mobs and you'll start aoeing them down and uh after a while you'll begin to notice that there's that there's a totality of RNG to the whole event where it's like sometimes the mobs don't crit you at all and the next thing you know you're not actually getting any readout um readout's the thing that when you get crit um you get like a bunch of blocking going on which means you take a a ton of less damage and you get like Reckoning charges and stuff uh you like being crit as a paladin is what I'm trying to say um so sometimes you walk in there and you don't get crit and because you don't get crit you don't end up blocking very much because you don't block very much you take a ton of damage it is actually ridiculous and then other times you walk into a pack of mobs and um it's a complete opposite problem you're getting crit left right and Center you're getting credit so much that um readout isn't actually doing anything because it's active all the time but it only extends like two charges and then it resets itself you're getting crit again and you'll just notice that you're just you're getting beat up pretty badly um now what happens if you skimped on the manna uh well let me put it to you this way um when I walk in there as a full man of Paladin and I have a bad time of it like like RNG doesn't go my way I notice it because I'll survive easily and I'll notice that I only got I've only got five percent of my Mana bar left like that's not normal normally it's like you know 25 um it'll be like 30 when things went well and it's like 20 on average this is five percent how bad was my RNG in that in that AOE fight that I only ended the fight with five percent Mana holy that's scary and you just drink to fool and move on with your life um but if you use the blocking Shield or the defense Shield or The Shield of the whale uh what will happen is you'll be full life no Mana uh the mobs will be like eight percent life they're still five like four or five of them gnawing on you and you physically cannot kill they will kill you you cannot kill them um because you can't find the Mana to even do like a rank one consecration to finish them off uh it's that that's usually how you die as a paladin when you're AOE farming is you can't find the last little bits of Mana to both keep yourself alive and put down the AOE to kill them right which is why uh you really want you want that extra buffer of Mana to to negate the RNG thing otherwise you'll be having a lot of um deaths and you know you'll have to run back a bunch of times and I can waste a bunch of time not good um but again I've tried it all um I've tried the the blocking Shields and the defense shields and the of the whale thing for Spirit ticks while I'm recovering my Mana to fix my problems like oh that'll that'll be good because it solves um two problems with one stone you know what I mean we have less of a Mana bar that we need to fill up with our stupid effing water um that's always going to waste and we also get the extra Spirit uh Mana ticks awesome you're so smart Patty taught me and then you die Okay cool so that's how that works um that's really all there is to say about it um fun is the most important thing for you to do uh so if you want to go do the two edit thing um all the way to 60 uh be my guest I've tried it as well um it uh I I still have vivid memories of being in tarnassus that that that's the damn desert uh when you're level 40. everyone gets funneled into the damn desert when they're level 40. and I still have vivid memories of killing Turtles and it taking me like 50 seconds to kill a Turtle as a two-handed paladin because all I had was this auction house green piece of that was like 3.8 weapon speed like it was 3.8 and it was up to date and it was Green but I mean ugh um and I I just spent the time and the money to switch over to stamina intellect and get my AOE on and I was like thank God so um yeah if you have that experience um just know that just about everybody in their dog says you should switch over to a stamina intellect Paladin at level 42 um and then anybody serious about Paladin leveling um roll I'm rolling my eyes at this um we'll tell you to start it up at level 30. um there's also the added benefits the stamina intellect stuff where it's like you can heal dungeons you can tank dungeons you can um AOE cleave groups want you in their party everybody wants you in your party um if you're playing on a PVP server you are a tanky tanky tanky boy that nobody uh really wants to mess with meaning if you pull three mobs and you're aoing them down you can actually and you get ganked you can actually kill the damn mobs and fight off the ganker all at the same time because you're kind of a a little bit of a giga chat um some trinkets that are amazing um Goblin mortar is really good um a major recombobulator Ray depending upon how progressed or unprogressed your server is is also absolutely amazing even the minor ones are are really good um but I'm gonna go showcase this real fast um I I I I've done I've shown this so much that I actually feel bad posting videos on my Channel showing this like like I feel like I'm just beating you people in my I'm beating my subscribers in the head like a dead horse with what I'm about to show you uh they all know what's about to happen all right let's let's let's let's let's get everything off that way there's no numbers here that that'll that'll vexate us um I have a slower weapon I mean a weapon with no um proc on it oh no that's a by non-equip okay all right so this is the legendary flurry ax it is the best one-headed weapon in the game for Paladin from a DPS perspective um it's the second best AOE tanking uh weapon from Paladin the number one is uh hand of Edward the odd over here just because Edward the odd when it procs you can heal yourself for Holy lights no matter how many jerkovs are on you um but I wanted to show you the difference in spell power ratio when your Paladin is actually in some gear worth a damn um I put that on because I wanted I was dealing with those guys let's get this good with that yeah no more spell power to be had right yeah not unless you want like heroism what the hell I have heroism no way I need to take that out of my inventory that's really bad all right whatever Mark of the chosen okay cool all right so we're going to show you the damn spell power ratio and I'm going to end the video here because I'm trying to keep this video short all right so as you can see I have all these damn ranks of seal of wisdom right all the way up to rank eight and uh they all have the same spell power ratio except for seal of righteousness rank three which just has five more spell power ratio on everything so I want you to I want to show you oh was that the better weapon who was the better weapon to use this with no no I think this is the right weapon okay all right so I'm gonna watch you watch me hit this guy notice uh the white damage is my auto attack and then the 4950 is the Seal of righteousness okay that's a level 50 and this is with my like insane spell power that I have on stop stop hey stop what's going on all right so now we're gonna do rank three don't come over here come on how what the all right so this is rank three in the same gear it's 57 so rank 358 Rank 3 is actually more than than the max rank so again this is the max rank the max ranks is like 50. and then this is the rank three okay 57 it does more you also notice I judge the max rank I did like 300 something I could check the combat log uh let's see here go up go up go up looking for the big number died right I guess not oh what happened to me my actions not whatever anyways this one judges a uh For Worse damage but it's it's super Mana efficient it's like 60 Mana I recall correctly whereas this one's like 200 mana and it just does more damage but um to show you how bad this is I haven't even started using um seal of the Crusader so my seal of the Crusader because I've got all kinds of Buffs to it I've got live Rama fervor adding like 33 um spell power to it I've got Marshall's gauntlets which add 20 spell power to it it's close to 200 spell power so this is going to add 200 spell power to this guy's damage now let's see the max rank at two at extra 200 spell power okay so he went up like not even 20. uh watch the rank three by comparison 93. so you can see the spell power ratio go up into Oblivion uh let me kill this guy let me find a fresh one what are you doing why are you not hitting him thank you okay so now we're going to use zandalar hero charm zandalari hero charm is going to increase our spell Power by another 200. okay so we can see the effects of this stuff all right so let's use max rank and we're gonna hit him and we're gonna use hero charm you can see it's 89 Now with an additional 200 plus lag and hopefully we don't murder him before I can show the rank uh three which is you know 131 and is absolutely ridiculous and all of this continues with um two handers basically so if I go over here oh this has a lot of procs on it um so this is rank three that was rank three so let's do a Max rank on the two-hander um two handers are a little different because basically What's Happening Here is I need to kill this guy here he'll run around like a dingus all over the place come here and just aggro everybody okay cool don't aggro anybody uh 200 is a little different and that's even why uh the max rank seal is on my bar um what's with the lag is it a holiday or something does blizzard suck whatever um you can see here on the tool tip it says it does between 21 and 75 holy damage well what it's actually trying to tell you is that if you're using the fastest weapon possible that number is going to be closer to the 21 if you're using the slowest weapon possible that number is going to be closer to the 75 it's always the same amount of DPS uh regardless but it changes like you know based upon like weapon speed right but the spell power doesn't behind it doesn't change uh based on weapon speed and the max rank has 15 for two handers and the and the rank uh three has um 20 for two handers and we're going to see this here in a second uh when I click uh zandalari hero charm here all right so let's go all right we didn't showcase yet okay so our Max rank was doing 105. and then our rank 3 is doing okay that's really hard to tell because you're procking all over the place this is not a good weapon for this do I need to break out my do I even have my let's do a brain hacker brain Hacker no brain hackers fast let's do our soul front Hammer that way I can cry that I never actually got hand of rag huh nightmares um so we'll just sulfur and Hammer um jet glix is a special special boy he has his chance on hit thing it's like a 20 chance every time he hits but then at times twos with Sor so like 40 chance per hit and it's just really hard to tell what the hell is going on okay so this is a 3.7 speed weapon I think yep okay cool this is Max rank 117 current gear Rank 3 is only 78. cool let's get some spell power behind that and see what happens so this is rank three with an extra 200 spell power uh now it's 119. now let's see what the max rank is 140. um let's kill this mob and then we'll get even more spell power behind it I think you can see where this is going all right all right we'll do Max rank hero charm all right cool hit him or lag out and murder him I guess and waste all of our time whatever I'll check that later damn combat log so it's 160 now I think yeah 160 give me the damn combat log you dingus my actions okay let's see here can we even tell a difference so it was 160 with the plus 400 spell power um but then previously it was like 140. 140 140 okay yeah 140. all right so the max rank seal was 400 spell power so you could see that at the beginning with no spell power ratio it did a lot more and then as we started ramping up the spell power ratio very quickly um seal of righteousness Rank 3 ended up outperforming it and again all that is just absolutely regardless of weapon speed yeah what in the balls oh no huh I gotta get rid of that um so because I have a fresh flurry ax in my inventory that I was holding on for somebody if I like have it on my action bar and I just click the damn thing I gotta get rid of this I gotta put this in the bank or something holy crap um it tried to equip the fresh flurry ax instead of my actual already equipped floor reacts I don't need two floor reacts if I could use two fluoride accident I'd kill everybody in this game damn oh my goodness get out of here test Pally take your damn flurry ax holy crap yikes okay well that was that yeah so anyways um yeah so hopefully that concludes the video on Paladin and basically why the hell you're going to be using this nightly long sword for a million years I have a more in-depth in-depth video on the nightly long sword but basically um finding one point the fastest weapon you can possibly put on a paladin is a 1.5 speed weapon 1.5 speed weapons are super super rare in the game you can they're so rare for that the weapons that a paladin can use they're actually nameable it's like nightly long sword flurry ax and then the best weapon in the game from end game NAX which is um hunger and cold um which has like 72 DPS and stats and bonus weapon skill it's it's insane and then you do the math on spell power ratio of flurry ax and the extra hits and you begin to realize flurry ax actually is equal to or even outperforms um the best weapon in the game from next so if you're wondering why the hell I'm using a level 42 yes I use this in PvP it is absolutely amazing it it rips faces off it is absolutely not effing around so you like run up to people and you're like hey would you like 120 damage every Auto attack uh at like 1.3 speed um that's and that's just the magic damage not the white damage and they're like no and then you're like hey just let me just sit on you for like 40 seconds while you die horribly and they're like ah so anyways yeah I'm gonna try to keep this video short that's the very short version of cargo's guide cargo's guide went into way more detail about all the palette and abilities and the seals and and this and that and and the third um it's not super complicated okay who am I kidding it's it's it's easy to learn it's hard to master in the sense it's hard to figure out what the heck is going on from a PVE perspective life is easy from a PVP perspective life is hard the only other thing to really note about Paladin stuff Jesus I might as well uh do it while I'm here but not in the right gear right now hmm do I might carry my healing gear like a dummy no I'm not okay good good and bad judgment gauntlets sure we'll put that on I'm looking for healing because we need to we're showcasing some healing really fast here okay cool I'll put my skirt on no problem all right let me show you guys something real fast here it has to do with uh blessing of light but you should learn this while you're rating so it's it's not the biggest deal in the world um that's my blessing of light all right okay so blessing the light says weird things it says increases the healing of of Holy Light um by up to 400 and then flash of Light by up to 115. um as long as you're using a rank that is above level 20 that is level 20 or above um you that that is not an up to anymore it's just it he increases it by 815 and I'll I'll show that real quickly I think that's a Max rank flash of light we don't want Max rank flash of light right now where the hell is my rank one rank one flash of light where are you we love you okay rank one flash of light and then Max rank flash of light okay so let's see whether Max rank flash of light does real quick here we're looking for top end damage it looks like it's like 550 ish right yep okay definitely 550 ish right all right watch what happens if I put on uh blessing of light it's going to go up by exactly 115. so rather than 550 we're gonna see like you know five uh 65s or something like that damn yeah okay damage spreading that was pretty serious uh but watch what happens with rank one so when we rank one on the tool tip says it costs 35 Banner it heals you for 75 to 87 and we just saw those heels were healing me for like you know about 550 or something like that um so why is uh wait basically rank one flash of light and Max rank flash of Light have the exact same spell power ratio uh behind them um and then when you so that was like what like 200s right yeah and then it gets even okay we'll say 215. okay now how much you want to bet me it's going to add another 115 to even my 35 Mana flash of light so we're gonna get like three thirties yeah exactly so what ends up happening when you're rating is it is entirely viable for you as a paladin to stack plus healing gear on your Paladin and then you just Spam rank one flash of Lights into Oblivion and you use like mac uh holy lights in in emergencies or flash of uh or Max rank flash of lights and emergencies but you just end up spamming uh your rank one flash of Lights into Oblivion um typically how the math pans out is it'll be like if my Max ranks heal for 900 and it'll be 900 for 140 Mana which is really good um my rank ones will end up healing for about 600 it's about two-thirds of the max rank um as by the time you get into an ax gear and so forth and so on that the scaling is a little bit better than that two-thirds is about 70 percent is the difference but that is basically a thing um this is actually useful while leveling um because you get um blessing of light um at level 40 if I recall and at level 40 it's basically what I'm saying is when you're doing dungeons um if you have blessing of light it is usually the correct call for you to put blessing of light on the tank and to spam rank one's uh of a flash of Lights into them into Oblivion and then to periodically um do the big boy Holy Light heels to top him off so if his health drops below 50 or it's about to drop below 50 that you go for a Holy Light you top him off to 100 and then you keep spamming these 35 Mana uh rank ones into him with uh blessing of light super efficient super effective you'll be the by far the a better healer as a paladin and doing it 100 correctly huh while leveling the only other bit of advice I have um is when you are tanking I want to get out of this gear I guess I can get out of the gear later um when you are tanking we good yeah we're good get some get my damn PVP gear going um the only other um gear that's better or the advice that I have is is when you're tanking a dungeon um do basically uh treat it like it's an AOE Farm you you judge wisdom and you seal wisdom and you use the fat you get your user damn nightly long sword use the fastest one-handed weapon that you possibly can and you basically throw down just enough consecrates to keep aggro on the mobs for for for the for for the full duration of the fight and then you stop consecrating so sometimes that'll mean you do two consecrates and sometimes that means you'll do three consecrates and then you just stop and you focus entirely upon uh getting as much Mana back as possible the difference between a good Paladin tank uh leveling and doing Dungeons and a bad Paladin tank leveling and doing dungeons is how quickly they um and how many packs can they pull before they need to drink um a good Paladin who knows his stuff with a nightly long sword um and he's he's uh judging seal of wisdom and he's using seal of wisdom is going to be able to pull something stupid like four to five packs of mobs before he ooms the Healer will have to drink before you have to drink however if the healer is drinking you're drinking um and that will basically makes you uh by far the best Paladin people are are ever going to see it's like it's kind of ridiculous when I was leveling as my Paladin and doing dungeons people like holy I've never seen a paladin tank this good before and they're not saying that I'm an amazing tank they're just talking about the fact that I'm not running out of mana and needing to drink all the damn time um there there there's some caveats to that and that means uh one of those caveats is um the enemy the DPS and your team need to learn to chill to chill out a little bit so you'll run into a pack of mobs you'll you'll consecrate on the ground um and if they just start um opening up on them like you know um full board DPS like though they're gonna pull aggro off of you and as far as you're supposed to be that's not your problem that that is entirely their problem um you can tell them to chill on the aggro a little bit basically you need like five seconds of consecration before people can can really start um going ham and uh the other good thing to do uh that'll make you a better tank is um use your marks um so for example if I click on this guy here and I click I right click on them there's this thing called raid icon and I can put like a skull on him right that makes any sense so again uh this is uh left click this is right click so you right click on the icon up here and you can assign a Target to them um traditionally it'll be like you know skull and then over here we'll have like X and skull is like you know kill this first and X is like uh kill this thing second um it's it's important for you to Mark as a paladin tank um unless you're with a good crew and if you're with a good crew you'll notice it because you won't need to Mark and they'll just do uh what they're supposed to do anyways um and basically the reason for this is is that the Target that you're going to by far have the best aggro on at the beginning and people can just start pumping pretty much immediately damage into is going to be the Target that you're Auto attacking you'll have by far the most uh threat on the Target that you are currently Auto attacking so when you're with a good crew you don't even have to mark uh you simply placing wisdom on the thing um and running up to it like you judge wisdom on it and running up to it and starting to hit it means that that is the Target that everyone is supposed to focus and everyone will will proceed to focus that Target um usually uh once the target is about half dead I'll switch over to the uh um to the secondary Target and I'll judge uh wisdom on it or I'll switch over to the tertiary Target the third target and I'll I'll start Mana uh um vamping from them uh but basically once the first Target dies um you're probably on like your second or third Consecration and you have enough aggro on all the mobs that that any people can do whatever the hell they want they're not going to really pull aggro off of you but it's important to stop after three two or three consecrations there's no point in going overboard on the aggro you're not the damage dealer um what makes you an amazing tank is um can you hold uh uh can you keep your Mana bar as high as possible while you're doing things so um that is what that is about um yeah so if you suspect that you're if your crew is attacking random things and pulling aggro basically just start marking people to start putting skulls and x's on people and that they should figure it out um as you get higher up in the levels like you're in like Black Rock depths and stuff like that people people don't need an invitation anymore um the sheer Act of you putting a seal of wisdom um on on The Bob um they want that Mana too so they will just start attacking that mob or this the mob they know that they they can attack while the consecration they figure it out is what I'm trying to say hmm but um anyways I'll end it here um it doesn't really I'm trying to think um tanking looks different pre uh blessing of wisdom I mean seal of wisdom um because all you have is Seal of light um in that case uh you actually uh I'm trying to think do you would you actually want to use seal of Justice or would you want to even judge a light on the target um pre-seal of wisdom I think honestly I think it doesn't matter what you do yeah you're just gonna have slight Mana issues and you guys are just gonna have to take it a little slow not the worst thing in the world though the most important thing is just to remember to um uh consecrate or to stop your consecrations like you do like two consecrations three consecrations done um one or two consecrations done um you can also do little uh tricks where you will do like a Max rate consecration another Max rank Consecration and then you're like a rank one Consecration and then like no more but that's like early levels like right now I have rank one consecration I have ranked two consecration um well five apparently but on my other palette and I have rake one and rank two and if I was tanking no more gone I don't have seal of wisdom um how I would be doing it is I'd go in my first consecration is a Max rank my second consecration is a Max Rank and either I stop consecrating or I do another uh um rank one Consecration and that's it um just to conserve your Mana bar I'm curious what that would look like real fast so I'm going to swap over to that just for visual demonstration I also have this weird bug I don't know why but every time I log in my mana's like half really annoying but let's uh let's check out the Mana real quick here okay cool we're about we're at the P so that would be like a consecrate one I'm attacking a Target I'm attacking a Target I'm attacking a Target that's cool make sure this is Max right Max rank two you can see okay we've lost a a fair chunk of Mana um then you would do one more uh uh rank one Consecration and then you'd basically be chilling for something stupid like uh 30 seconds so give it a moment and you can see that we're almost all the way back up to the P again just because we're chilling on our Mana and this is effectively what makes you an amazing um tank is you're just super Mana conservative uh you never go um um you ever go with unless the priest of zoom and yeah it's just it's just the way to do it and I've seen so many I've been in other groups where tanks where Paladin tanks don't do this and I've like tried to edumacate them and they're like you know mind your own business or something like that usually usually they take the advice and they're like holy this is so much better and I'm like yeah yeah dude definitely do that they're also have make the problem uh uh the issue of using like really slow one-handers so it's really hard for them to get Mana back like uh thrash blade and stuff like that I don't know you want the fastest one-hander you possibly can get that's going to be a nightly long sword pick it up off the auction house let it let it carry you all the way to 60. if people laugh at you they won't be laughing for long let me tell you uh especially in AOE scenarios but anyways I'm gonna do a video I am going to end the video here and uh Davis fault boys
