[Music] g'day and welcome now most of you are probably looking at this thinking what on Earth have we got here what the camera isn't showing here is that we're on a really steep side of the hill and cameras never show just how steep things really are but um I tip this down here about three years ago and I've been trying to get it out ever since and um I finally got my Dozer in in here it's it's down down further down the bottom of this Gorge I've come in from the bottom um you might be able to hear it Ireland there in the in the background so what the plan is is to I'm putting a ride in I'll put a ride in all the way through to here um and I'm gonna put a side cut up the bottom of this hill so I've got somewhere to bring the grader out on and then up above I'm gonna have to do another side cut to put the Dozer on so I can tip it back over um like I said this happened three years ago I rolled this grater down here and um it was a really uh what would you say um it was a terrifying experience uh I was coming down our boundary fence is just up on top of this hill and I was great and down the side of the Hill the other way or like sort of on the end of this hill and um and I stalled this grader and so on these older all the model graders once once you stall them you've got absolutely nothing so I had no breaks no gears no hydraulics nothing at all and to make matters worse my misses was on the four-wheeler in front of me so I was screaming at it to get out of the road and she couldn't hear me and so um she looked back and just happened to look back and saw me coming 100 miles an hour so she got out of the road on the four-wheeler and up sort of up here above probably about I don't know uh 80 meters up there is where I jumped out the door and and let it go and um and it come down here 100 miles an hour and eventually it it went through a heap of trees it crashed through the trees and we're snapping off trees like this round up here and eventually it hit a couple of trees just above here and it jacked it around sideways and then that's where it went over onto its side and so I've been wondering how I've been going to get the thing out ever since and um anyway so yeah I've actually got I've got my days are in here finally and um and so yeah over the next few days we're gonna have a have a crack at getting this out so I just wanted to get get this up to speed on at the start of of this like show you the the grader here and and do an introductory and then we'll uh we'll do footage as time goes on over the next few days of of getting it back on its wheels so um hopefully it's gonna work I still I still got no idea whether it's going to work or not getting it out and I've got no idea where the grade is even going to go once we get it out because um there's going to be oil in places where there shouldn't be oil but sitting upside down for three years and so yeah it's going to be a it's going to be a bit of a project um both getting it out and then getting it going again so uh hopefully it's all gonna all gonna turn out but anyway we'll we'll document it and uh and we'll bring us along for the ride [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign foreign foreign [Music] foreign foreign [Music] foreign so now that I've got the ride pushed in into the back of the grader here with the Dozer well I gotta what I'm gonna do now is this lamparoa line here I'm just in the process of strengthening it up and then I'm going to chain it underneath the grater um underneath the two tandems standing straight up and down and then I'm going to be able to put the sling on the top of that I'm going to have the dieser up on top of this hill and hopefully we're going to be able to pull it over um with it tied onto the rower line which will be chained to the tandems so that's what I'm doing now is I'm in the process of of um adding some more strength to this piece of rubber line and putting some lugs on it so it doesn't slide out when we start to pull [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] I'd rather be pulling these heavy slings down the hill rather than taking them up but I've only got a certain amount of big slings and big chains so I'm having to stretch them out up the hill so I work out how far I've I've got to reach up the hill and that that's that will determine then where I put the side cut to sit the days are on to hook all the the top of the slings foreign is we're going to pull the blade off sorry that when we pull it over the blade won't be able to dig into the ground and um because what's happened is that um that when it when it hit one of the trees it broke one of the ends of the Rams off so the blade you can't really have a lot of control over the blade at the moment so we're going to pull it off so it won't get in the road [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign foreign thank you foreign there we go so we finally got it back on its Wheels and we got it on the side cut um now is the next process of getting it going which um yeah I'm just gonna leave it for the time being um just going to let all the oils drain back where they should should be I'll leave it leave it here for a couple of months and uh then we'll see about uh see about getting that going so um as you can see I've uh I've had my wife here helping me um it's been a fairly a fairly uh uh what would you say a scary sort of a day um work on the side of the Hill there and um yeah we're biggest our biggest fear was uh with the machines that we had in here trying to get it and get it out we had to be our biggest fear was that it was going to do the same we're going to do it the same thing with another machine so um yeah so that's that's about all that we can sort of share for the time being um I um yeah I just wanted to I just wanted to thank Carlia for for uh for helping me out here um sort of neither of us really neither of us really wanted to to attempt this because um with three years later we've still got um you know scary visions of of when it happened so um anyway um that's about all week that's about all we can share for now we'll do more when we when we're doing doing another we'll we'll do another video when we when we get in the gray to going again and um that's about all we got on this one so we'll see you in the next video thank you
