welcome to an all new episode of grime spines in this video we're gonna do something that we have never ever done before but apparently millions of people are pretty into it so today we're gonna give it a shot collectible trading cards have been around since the early 1900s everything from your favorite baseball player basketball player wrestler cartoon show also millions of americans and millions of people all over the world still consider it an investment but just like any other investment it fluctuates with the economy but one day it could be worth a lot and one day could be worth a little for example mickey mantle mickey mantle's 1952 tops rookie card is one of the most desired cards out there next to the honest wagner in 2018 ex-nfl player evan mathis sold his 1952 mickey mantle for a price of 2.88 million dollars if you were to go to the psa website and type in 1952 mickey mantle what you can see is that this is a highly desired card on this site alone they boast of 554 sales guys 554 of the rookie mantle that sold for a total of over 32 million dollars don't worry i got you that is an average of 58 000 a card that's crazy but it's not just the value guys that has everyone even huge youtubers like logan paul and others interested in finding their favorite collectible trading cards it's also the thrill of the hunt so not only individual cards guys people all over the world spend millions of dollars on sealed packs like these what i have here is sealed packs from the early 80s and 90s not the most expensive ones but there's definitely cards in here that could be worth thousands one of the other reasons people are in search of these sealed packs is because you have the better chance of finding a psa 10 mint of your favorite star so in this video we are gonna take these packs we're gonna pop up the most valuable cars that could possibly be in these packs and we're going to search and see if we can find welcome cadence here with me say hello hello use the voice we're gonna open first in this video which one should we go first the nolan the nolan ryan guys okay so these are okay that's the ted williams we're gonna set the ted williams find williams cards aside we're gonna go with the 1991 upper deck edition when i first saw these i was like upper deck not a big deal but the nolan ryan this was called find the nolan so in one of these three packs right here we could have an autographed nolan ryan limited edition card i think right here it says that they're limited to 2500. oh i say it all the time all right here we go y'all some people oh y'all shouldn't have done that hey man oh yeah so they take them out and they like count them i don't know what's going to go on here so we're just going to undo these we are looking for the nolan ryan find the nolan autograph there's only 2 500 of them uh oh wait are you how are you supposed to turn these over all right so here we go we're gonna see what we have here ah tony gwynn all right guys so up here are the cards that we are looking for i made a a little collage for you so you can see what cards we're looking for in this day there's also a few rookies like ken griffey jr uh i don't think that was his rookie that's not his rookie i think his rookie's 89 but there's some cards in here worth it um collector's choice we're again we are looking for an autograph nol and ryan aha yeah that's a holograph yankee and oh wait jeff robinson never heard him yo i'm not joking this is one of the cards y'all saw it i popped it up there this is one of the cards i was looking for so check it out everyone knows that michael jordan is well it's debatable if he's the goat i say yes you probably say lebron oh my george yeah boy cause that's my kid he knows real uh never mind uh so check it out he would go later this card right here is of michael jordan he did not play for the white sox but this card is actually psa mint i think i don't know i'll check if i find the price i'll insert it in right here but y'all this really is one of the cards that we were looking for was the michael jordan this is when he was with the white sox just at batting practice um and i can't remember he would go on later to actually play major league i have a copy of that rookie card so this isn't a rookie card this was just a card but hey this is a pretty cool no crap out of three packages this is one of the cards we were trying to find so let's look at it so centering looks pretty good doesn't it what do you think so what we're looking at we're looking at the border we're trying to see if is the border equal amount from here to here to here to here which means it has really good centering the centering on this card actually looks really really good i don't see any surface scratches i really don't there might be a little bit of rounding on this corner right here but all together that's i mean it's at least a nine i would say so guys we're gonna slap this bad boy in a top loader uh and we're gonna be very careful when we do this here's what i like to do i like to stick my finger i'm going to be very careful with my words right here so i like to do that i'm going to stick the corner in there because a lot of people will try to stick the corner in there you're going to bend it there goes a point so what i'm going to do is uh go ahead and stick the corner in there very gently oh i missed it all right and then i'm going to let it close on it and then look how i'm gonna do this i'm gonna try to bring the corner way away from the edge before i go in there and we're gonna go down real slow and then what i like to do is don't push it down just give it a little tap tap a row yeah i'm not playing and so while gina was grabbing the top loaders one of the other cards yo three packs i told came before we started there's like there's no way we're really probably gonna find any of these and i'm not joking the first pack we found a very good condition michael jordan and then i was sitting here looking and look chipper jones rookie card was the very next card in that deck uh i did see look oh let me turn this way so look you see right there it looks like there might be a little bit of a a bending right there which possibly could have done with scissors tapping on the packet all right we have a chipper jones rookie card y'all for real i thought maybe no yo what if we got the autograph and on the run all right guys so let's go ahead and put chipper jones rookie card no crap that's wild two of the freaking cards i wanted so what i did guys is i went to the top 10 most valuable cards of the 1991 upper deck card set in there gently did i miss it again okay uh y'all look at that that's a nice chipper jones rookie uh so we're gonna push that down there these rookie cards guys will be in the auction the high bid auction that opens windier tomorrow tomorrow baby you can own these y'all look these are nice cards all right do you want to do the next one sure yeah boy all right so there's that pack that's pretty awesome so kaden do the honors of the second pack that is pretty awesome here yeah go ahead and straighten it out as much as possible yeah like that
