[Music] covet 19 has affected all of our lives in one way or another some of the effects have been devastating to some prior to covet and for years and years all of it has been committed to our homeless outreach program our matthew 25 ministry provides hot meals daily we provided blankets coats gloves toiletries and free groceries even during these tron economic times we've decided to step up and do more we've been very fortunate to be able to increase our efforts and it's partly due to our partners like you we need your help so that we can continue to be a blessing to this community please consider partnering with us and sowing a seed so that we can continue this work the bible says in luke 12 48 for everyone who has been given much much will be demanded and from those who have with it god takes it away from us so i want to be a good steward over that which god blesses me with and so he entrusts even more into our hands and as a ministry we want to do exactly that the more god blesses us the more we help people and then god says i can trust you with more uh when you look at deuteronomy 8 and 18 he talks about the covenant he says i don't give you wealth i give you the power uh to get wealth i don't give you money he says i give you million dollar ideas million dollar vision and a million-dollar uh ability and um you know million dollar you know gifts and talents and if you work it right it will uh produce wealth and he says but you got to always remember the covenant that i swore to your father of your forefathers he says and that was when i told abraham that i'm going to bless you now but you have to be a blessing understand it's like a water hose i would send water to you and um but the water got to go through the holes and uh you know you got to water the ground you have to give other people some water to drink and so god will not send a blessing to you that he can't sin through you right that's powerful when you think about it and you look at some people's lives they're just always blessed blessings always come in that way because they're givers and you look at some people's life they just struggle and struggle because they're always simply takers and so thank you for being so supportive of this ministry um i'm in the season september is my uh season of just believing god as we sold significant seeds i'm talking about uh god is moving you uh what he's giving you that which is over and above and you got extra money and you're like god i got this money laying around here and got some sold significant seed and watch what happens so you give because people are hurting people are going through and it could be us new orleans is hurting we're doing some things right now to help new orleans come on you know how we do it uh an olivet nation obc if somebody's hurting we try our best to help them and that's why we're so blessed as a church uh and so we're gonna be sending toiletries and water and all type of supplies non-perishable food items and different types of things to new orleans already talking to bishop paul martin and daryl brister and bishop love and we're going to help uh some individuals there brandon uh reaching out to brandon as well uh we got mobile app to give text to give online giving you can mail in that seed and you you've been so faithful in doing that because we receive literally gifts from all around the world people just sow and give and you open up the envelopes and there's checks and just when you need it the most to help people uh god provides he provides i pray as you do this that god will provide for your house and he will provide your needs according to his riches in glory i speak that over your home over your family in jesus name so thank you father even as your people so may bless them a thousand times even more thank you so much for doing that amen and so sunday was so blessed huh amen uh we thank god for preachers who just preached uh thank god for uh a pastor chris who's done a phenomenal job he always does thank god for young virgil henderson amen he's so unassuming he just walks around amen that like he wouldn't say boo uh to a cat and the young man just got up and just preached like preaching was uh you know he was bringing it back from out of style and style he just preached our hearts happy so profitable for them and we got so many ministers i'm telling each you know any one of them i could point at they could just go up there and just preach oliver ministers study on their own they've been well taught they can get up and officiate funerals weddings what have you i thank god for trained house the bible talks about that in genesis 14 that abraham went down and beat five kings when he was getting locked uh out of sodom and gomorrah and he had 300 trained men in this house and so uh i want all of it to represent that uh some of the best trained men and women in the nation i thank god for them i'm so proud of them and the work that they do the administration the church council the deacons every ministry every member thank you god bless you uh you are growing uh up in christ and doing the ministry that god has purposed in you to do before the foundations of the world god bless you we're ambassadors of christ reconciling the world to jesus christ amen i want to stay safe this whole kobe thing i'm telling you is very serious we're losing a lot of people a lot of people are sick house bills are full so i'm telling you i'm telling you to wear your mask uh at all costs i don't know why people are out here saying don't wear them ass and don't i don't want my child to wear the mask man people are sick dying i'm still praying for jesse jackson and his wife talk to him and just ill say preachers are dying and uh people are dying just whoever and so if you've been fascinated god bless you don't believe in the vaccine uh do take every precaution take herbs do whatever you need to do but protect yourself at all costs okay i've i've got the vaccine a boost to come out i'm taking the booster or whatever else they got amen because i just want to be covered and i want my family covered okay god is good he's good and we we've just been growing and got again our college ministry and all the wonderful ministries that are transparent you see these steps behind me because we're uh you know we're going higher we are ascending in god and so the words that we're supposed to do uh in ephesians 4 that we're going to be growing up in christ going up them steps getting higher and higher and higher and i feel our ministry is y'all y'all got to get the word out y'all got to spread it obviously we have been challenged by my good friend dr jamal harrison brian and the newburgh family and also uh dr william murphy praise is what i do we have been challenged in a weight loss challenge and that's whose congregation whose group is going to lose the most weight i told them they can't not have the obesity like look oh you know why y'all playing like that y'all cannot handle us gonna get gonna get our name put on the trophy because we're don't win uh i've all i've already lost over 30 pounds so we started this thing you know jamal lost some weight he and murphy are on this uh eating all soup and you know drinking a liquid just liquid diet they lost some weight and your boy i went on this thing with just eating fish pescadarian fish and eating green vegetables i'm i don't drop 30 something pounds so they can't handle me working out every day ellipticals some light weights and walking now they want to bring the congregations in what they want to do so we're going to have some of y'all signing up who want to participate get some of this covered way out we're gonna have a lot of fun some devotions uh bringing different people tell you how the best way to lose some weight so everybody can have some fun know one of the best ways to stop putting all the sugar in our body pounds is just uh drop off if we stop eating sugar but you hear more about that new birth shall not win put it in the comments birth can't win the dream center cannot win dr william murphy will not win but obc we shall overcome in fact we already won okay all right they can't come to us go to uh we want to talk about the arc again uh we want to talk about this whole business about carrying the art uh go to second samuel chapter number six um craig irvin is my buddy i love him and this book is fascinating everybody's reading this book around the country all these preachers and the church of the missing five by craig lindsay if you don't have it man you got to get your hands on it it's a great book and it talks about when the children of israel came out of babylonian captivity how uh they came back and started rebuilding the second temple upon the roman world upon the nehemiah ezra and they got the temple built but they noticed some things were missing y'all young people that didn't notice anything was missing they were happy they had a building back and they were shouting and praising god and then the old oldest saints the ancient science the bible said start weeping and they crying and they like you know something is missing and the young people like what y'all crying about we got the building back and they said we don't see the heart of the covenant we don't see no glory we don't see no fire of his presence and you know god ain't here we don't see no new orleans we don't see no discernment there's no prophetic voice we got a building but we don't have god we got a building and god is not here and so they we no fire fail no glory was there no ark of the covenant they were having church without god and the oldest things couldn't stand and that's when god prophetically spoke through the prophet and said your ladder shall be greater than your former he says just come in a greater glory he said even though you remember the days of solomon how the fire failed on the day of pentecost he says there's coming of greater glory and then we see in acts 2 on the day of pentecost that the fire fell but it didn't fall on the building it fell on the people cloven tongues of fire rested upon the heads of each one that was in that room and they were all filled with the holy ghost because now the glory is not feeling a building a place it fills us no you're not ye off the temple and the holy ghost lives in you the ark disappeared everybody was looking for the ark because you see now we need to understand through first corinthians three and first corinthians six that he says you are the temple we don't need the art he says that look you know wooden box overlaid with gold that they walked around two cherubims on both sides of the mercy because we have his presence it represented the presence of god but we have his presence in us we got jesus christ in you the hope of glory and we have the indwelling of the holy ghost so we don't need no symbols anymore we have this presence and know ye not the geodetic of god and the holy spirit it dwells in you i'm gonna tell you a scripture that just really rocked me my friend craig and i we were talking about this scripture i didn't understand it when i first started studying the scripture everybody go to second samuel six and all kind of covenant was taken by the philistines it's been gone for about a hundred years from the children of israel and during the reign of saul i guess about 20 years or so he's been reigning he ain't even asked what the ark of the covenant was david becomes king man after god's own heart the first thing he want to know where that art is let's go get it so he goes down to gibeon and he says let's bring it out but it's been gone so long that they have forgotten how to carry it they've forgotten the order of how do you transport the glory the ark the presence of god look at verse one and david again gathered all the chosen me individual 30 000 and david arose and went with all the people who were with him from belgium to bring up there to bring up from that the ark of god which is called get this please underline this put it in the comments it's called by the name of the lord this is not just no box mail this is not just no symbol this is actually called by the name of the lord of hosts his name is on it the name of the lord of hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim that's why it had the mercy that looked like a throne and that's why it had the cherubims because it was a blueprint it was a earthly pattern of of heavenly things that's all everything that god gave to moses the tabernacle and the ark and all of that what he was doing was showing him he gave him a blueprint of what it looked like in heaven and he was showing him in heaven as the throne of god and in heaven jesus is the mercy seat and then heaven there are angels who who worship god 24 7 they all around the throne you saw it in isaiah 6 saying holy holy lord god of hosts the whole earth is full of your glory so that's that's an earthly pattern that's an earthly blueprint of it and they in verse 3 says and they carried the ark of god uh on a new part that he's been gone so long they forgot how to transport the ark of god and brought it out of the house of abinadab which was on the hill and uza and ohio the son of abinadab were driving the new court they threw god in the back seat and said let's bring him on with the ark of god and ohio went before the went before the ark so god in the backseat he didn't even get to be the co-pilot they threw him in the back seat and said let's go for a ride and david all the house of israel were celebrating before the lord's psalms and they're blowing their hearts and tamarines and flutes and when they came to the threshing floor of nikon uzza put forth his hand to the ark of god to take hold of it for the odds and stumbled and the angel of the anger of the lord was killed against us and god struck him down there because of his error and he died beside the heart of god and david was angry because the lord had broken out against us and that place is called para usa to this day and david was afraid of the lord that day and said how can the ark of the lord come to me listen to me when i first read that i said along with my good friend pastor craig girvin i said lord wait a minute this guy was trying to do the right thing he's a he's a good guy i said david wanted the art back in his rightful place and he's trying to bring the art back and the oxen kind of stumbled and you the ark was sliding off the cart and he just put his hands out to try to keep it from falling in the dirt he was doing a good thing and you killed him the man was struck down and died right then beside the ark and the place was called para usa which means the lord broke through i said why did you do that god when you knew he was trying to do the right thing and the lord spoke to me and said kevin i want to teach you something he said good men die in an outer order system he said there's a lot of good men and women who died in churches got hurt in churches because the system was out of order there's so many people who were trying to do good things in ministries good things in churches but they hurt they're not even there no more because the church was so out of order somebody got hurt so many people left the church and won't even come back because they were hurt in a system that was out of order i want you to look at something the hebrew word carrie is nessa it's nasa put it in the comments all right it is n-a-s-a everybody write that down m-a-s-a that's the hebrew word and guess what it means it means to carry n-a-s-a nessa and it means to carry okay to care it means to bury on your person to bury it on your person okay it is used to refer to the names of israel engraved in the stones that were on the shoulders of the high priest let you go there very quickly go to exodus chapter number 28 and verse number 12. i'm going to show you a thing real quickly here exodus 28 verse number 12. i try to teach you this very quickly without chasing rabbits or running off too far when it talked about the priest it says and you shall set the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod and the stones of remembrance for the sons of israel and adrian shall bear their names before the lord on his two shoulders for remembrance i won't graduate if you don't mind put the picture up of the priest put the picture up of the priest because i want you to understand i want you to look how the priest look do you see that how he was dressed how he had these different stones on his breast over his heart but he also had some stones or he had some stones that ran down and watched his shoulder they were on his shoulder and they were also on his breasts now this is significant it was on put it in your nose they were on his shoulder and they were also on his breast and they watched this they represented that he was as a high priest he was caring he was caring he was carrying the nation all right he was carrying the nation he was carrying the nation now why is this important this is so important i don't want to go too deep with this i don't want to get lost with this um but i want you to see some things i think are very very important because when you go to isaiah nine and six go to isaiah nine and six okay isaiah nine and six says this is nine and six please stay with me says this about jesus who is our high priest it says for unto us a child is born to us a son is given the questions and the government should be upon his shoulders what does that talk about the government should be upon his shoulders think about how the priest carried and represented when he had those stones that was on his shoulders and also on his breastplate it represented carrying upon his heart the whole nation of israel the whole people that he carried them upon his heart now in this messianic passage speaking of the messiah jesus it is talking about that jesus would carry upon his shoulder the whole government the whole government of the people of god the bible says would be upon his shoulders he as our high priest would carry the whole government of the people of god reggie wants you to put up that next slide it comes after that one the one that has the different stones if you look at the different stones you will see the first groupings you can barely see him but at the top you'll see the different stones and the different nations or the different tribes rather than would go on the left sleeve and you would see uh the different tribes that would go on the right sleeve all this is right according to the word of god he would have some tribes that would be on the left some would be on the right okay like on on the left he would have a benjamin he would have manessa he would have uh ephraim you would see all this okay and then you would also see he would have like nephilim without asher he would have dan he would have all of these and these would be on his shoulders so he's carrying he's carrying them the whole burden he's carrying he's representing him and then he has others watch this he has these stones that represent the nation of israel they are carried on his very heart so i know what you say you say to me tonight as a pastor you say well what does that have to do with us you say because we're not biologically we're not jews so where are we at are we part of that breastplate are we on the shoulders of jesus our high priest are we part of that breastplate i want you to go to romans chapter number 11. i told you that i'm going to stay too long one day i come back and really break this down okay listen to what god says this is a very powerful powerful teaching okay he says this everybody go to romans chapter number 11. this is so powerful he says and he starts in verse number 13. he says now i am speaking to you gentiles and as much then as i am apostle to the gentiles he says i magnify my ministry in order somehow to make my fellow jews jealous so he's talking to the jews and making them jealous by what he has to say about the gentiles and thus save some of them but if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world what will that acceptance mean but life from the dead if the dough offered its first roots is holy so is the whole lot and if the root is holy so is the branches but if some of the branches were broken off and you all though watch this a while a while all that shoot where grabbed it in among the others now share the nourishing root of the olive tree stop right there guess what he's talking about when he speaks of the wow the wow the wild olive shoot guess what he's talking about the gentiles the wow he says that even though you run biologically as you he says but because of through your faith in jesus christ because you believed in jesus as the son of god and savior he says you were engrafted in you become part of the tree you get into that that that breastplate you own his shoulders he says do not be arrogant against the branches if you are remember it is not you who support the root but the root that supports you then you will say branches were broken off so that they might be drafted in that is true they were broken off because of that unbelief he's talking about those jews who rejected jesus christ he said y'all were broken off he said because y'all rejected jesus he says but you stand fast through faith so do you now become proud for fear but god did not spare the natural branches these are jews that jesus were god's chosen people but because they rejected jesus he said they were broken off he says but even the wild branches the gentiles because you believed in him he says you were granted ends note then that the kindness and security severity of god's verdict towards those who have fallen but god's kindness to you provided you continuously in his goodness otherwise you too would have been cut off and even they if they do not continue in their unbelief will be grafted in for god has the power to wrap them in again for if you were cut from what is by a nature a wild olive tree and grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated dollar tree how much more will these the natural branches be grafted back into that own tree so guess what god says he says even though you one biologically but you a part of israel because of your blood because you have faith in jesus christ he said you are grafting in and you become part of this breastplate he says you've become part of this government this is upon my shoulder you become part of what the priest cares it's not that is that not good news somebody give god praise if you receive that so you are on the very heart of god god carries you close to his heart you're upon his shoulders all right what listen what what what what what bothers you guess what he cares about and god says you're not alone and whatever you're dealing with tonight god says because i don't just care of your problem i carry you the government is upon his shoulders okay you see what he's saying there and you have been engrafted into the family of god one of the most powerful things and i just want to i hope you get the understanding of this all right uh go to the book of ezekiel the book of ezekiel i tell you something that god showed me when he began to show me all the different uh stones this is for some of y'all to like to do uh you know go real out there i'm just really studying and studying and studying and studying study i'm just gonna give you a little bit of this and we'll talk over it uh another time but i want you to see something it's very interesting that all you can look at all that uh that that particular um diagram that i showed you of the priest attire and all the stones enlist uh thank you uh brother reggie now hit the next one and listen it it lists all the different stones you got the onyx the cypher you got all of these precious stones on there watch this you got 12 of them precious stones the diamond all of these stones now watch this you know what caught my attention one day and this is very powerful when you go to ezekiel 28 and verse number 13 that's what you'll see it says talking about satan it says you were in eden the garden of god every precious stone was covering you all right this is the saudis the topaz the diamond the burl the onyx and the jasper the cipher the emerald the cardwalker and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings on the day you were created they were prepared guess what satan had nine now the priest had 12 on him but guess what the bible says satan had nine on him now why is this significant why is this significant i'm telling you when you see that you don't shout somebody need to put in the comments satan had nine of these precious stones but when you look at the priests out of all these stones the priests had three more that are mentioned that satan did not have on and guess what i want you to put that diagram right back up reggie where all the stones are listed put it up one more time i don't have time to go there all right put it up there for just one second there and you know what i want to go to i want to show you very powerful scripture uh where is it in genesis all right genesis 48 i think it is genesis 48 in genesis 48 and what verse am i looking for okay genesis 48 and verse number 19. okay guess what it says here okay when when joseph brought my uh manessa and ephraim watch this to his father jacob and asked him to pray over them and to bless them this is deep y'all watch this in verse number number 19 but his father is refused and said i know my son i know because joseph was like you know you got your hand on the wrong morning you're getting ready to bless the younger over the old one he said but sometimes god grace makes an exception to the rule he also shall become a people get ready to shout y'all he also shall be great nevertheless his younger brother shall be greater than he all right talking about ephraim and his offspring shall become a multitude many of nations that's what god just said hallelujah guess what god said out of this boy a whole bunch of nations are getting ready to come you know what he was talking about i believe gentiles are going to come out of him out of him gentiles are going to be connected back into the family of god through ethan ethan means twice a double bless so guess what god said god says i'm i've made a way that through him watch this the men of the gentile nations the wow others are going to be engrafted in all right through even and when you look at him even from manessa all right watch this the three uh of stones that were missing from satan's all right when we started talking about satan's the the stones that he did not have all right here's from his breastplate the three stones are the stones that were carried by ephraim that was carried by manessa these three stones were missing these are the ones he did not have which means the devil did not understand the total plan and the total purpose of god that god wouldn't just focus on the children of israel but god would use them to reach his his whole world to reach his whole elect to reach people who are outside of the nation of israel somebody i'll be praising god he says i'm going to use watch this not only equal and minister but benjamin so those are the three stones if you look them up that satan did not have in his breasts with in his collection of stones they're not there in his breastplate they're not there in part of his look in his in his collection of stones because he never knew that god would use through ephraim manessa and benjamin that god would engraft in them and guess who comes preaching from the tribal benjamin paul and guess where paul's assignment and his mission is to the gentiles somebody will be praising god tonight you know why you ought to be praising god is because even though sometimes it looks like you're losing even though sometimes it looks like the devil is winning the king always has another move and even though satan is all dressed up there and he got nine stones on and he looks like he's imitating the high priest he missing three and the three that he's mentioning are missing are the ones that are warned to represent ephraim manessa and benjamin and when paul would come along paul would talk about how he comes from the tribe those area tribes he comes from benjamin and that his whole mission is to reach the gentile nations and then jacob will lay hands on that boy and say you're going to be double blessed you're going to be double fruitful out of you god is going to bless a multitude of nations somehow to be praising god tonight god always wins god is always sovereign god always has things in control and no matter what you're going through tonight god carries you on his shoulders all right god carries you on his heart just like the good shepherd remember when the good shepherd over there in john 15 when the bible says he leaves the 99 sheep and he goes off and get the one all right you know what he would do many times many times when that she kept running away he would take and break one of his legs but then he would pick him up and put him around his neck and carry him sometimes god has to break you for you to become more intimate with him is there anybody tonight other than me been through some breakings in life and god had to break you break you financially got it to break you take you through some things take some people out of your life just so you he could position you closer to him just so you can become more intimate with him if that's you give god a praise because you know that that that's okay you know that is that's all right and so that's the whole purpose when he says that the government should be upon his shoulders and the priest's job was to carry the ark on their shoulders i got a little bit more time here go to first chronicles look at first chronicles 15 and 13. i'm not going to hold you too much longer but y'all thank god for that kind of word tonight that ain't that ain't no milk you ought to thank god for that kind of word tonight amen god cares you he's our high priest he carries you on his chest he carries you on his shoulders first chronicles 15 and look at verse number 13. hurry up and get there thank you lord and david got upset because fools have died and he had to go find out what was wrong and how to get back in order and if you tonight things ain't working like they ought to be working in your life you got to pursue god pursue holiness get back in order with god he says because first chronicles 15 and 13 because you did not carry it the first time the lord your god broke out against us because we did not seek him according to the rule so the priests and the levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of the lord to god out of israel and the levites carried the ark of god on their shoulders with the poles as moses has commanded them according to the word of the lord he says you've got to get back it on so they didn't come dragging him on the old cart they said no you got to see see you got a burden the presence of god you got to carry it on your shoulders that's really why i came nobody praise god for you you can't see that's what's wrong with church today we want to drag him on a cart we want to throw him off on the praise team throw him off on the preacher we want to sit there and clap while other people worship where other people praise him but can't nobody praise him for you can't anybody thank god for you don't nobody know like you know how good god has been for you so no you throw it up on your shoulder and you start giving your testimony or how good god has been to you how he brought you out how he made ways for you out of nowhere you throw it up on your shoulder and you carry the responsibility to give him glory somebody getting the glory tonight if you know he's been good if you know me he's been better than good can i come back you got me all right you got me you got me yeah you're up all right i'm and 12 okay trying to get everybody a minute to catch us it says and you shall set uh the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the e5 as stones of remembrance for the sons of israel okay you show uh it says it is also used in in terms of the second commandment okay uh notice that the first commandments what happened to him moses went down and when he saw that the people was all out of order he broke them and that represents that no man uh can carry or totally fulfill god's law on his own we all have sinned and did what fallen short of the glory of god we all fall short and so uh they the second set was put inside the ark because only in christ can we fulfill uh the law he is our righteousness okay now think about this this is this is so important so uh he says something that you should not take the name of the lord in vain i want to explain this some this to you tonight and then we'll be uh through but i want you to get this exodus 20. this is so good this is so good please get this please get this he says uh in exodus 20 okay um it is so good i want to make sure you get it verse number seven he said you shall not take the name of the lord your god in vain okay for the lord would not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain man i thought that was when i grew up i thought that that was just saying god name or cussing you know you know what the word is angel said but i thought that's all that meant you know using god's name out of context and you shouldn't do that that is bad you shouldn't do that but it is much deeper think about this don't take the names law the name of the lord in vain now don't let now go with me tonight for just one quick minute what if the word take is the word nessa nasa in the hebrew and it actually means don't carry watch this put it in the notes don't carry the lord's name in vain don't carry the lord's name in vain all right he says if you carry my name in vain watch this he says i'm a jealous god he's the law would not hold him guiltless who carries his name in reign so now i begin to understand why user had to die because he's carrying god's name remember i showed you the scripture where it says they went down and got the ark and the ark bear god's name on it and they're carrying god's name in vain they're carrying god less than who and how god has revealed himself to us god says this is who i am i'm sovereign i'm lord i'm king he says but you don't throw me on a cart and you don't you out front and you acting like man is in control of me and you driving me taking me you where you want to go instead i understand that i'm the one that ordered your steps you you up here i am the art sliding off the court and you holding me up when you don't understand i'm the one who holds you up i don't need you to keep me from falling i'm the one who keeps you from falling so you're carrying me in vain you are carrying my name in vain you should not carry the name of the lord in vain the moment you and i get saved listen you begin to carry his name you carry his name people associate us we are we are christians you know that means little christ followers of christ and how many times i have carried his name in vain useless people did not see the christ in me i did not carry him properly people were not able to see his majesty in my life people was not able to see his holiness in my life talk to me tonight people were not able to see you know how how awesome how good he is how merciful he is because of how i carried him because i how how i transported him i i remember when my my kids were born and i would walk around with one of the babies my mama said you don't care her baby like that she said you carrying a baby like they they they're a sack of groceries you don't talk no baby like that and some of us got to think about how do we carry god every day in our daily lives when people listen to the jokes we made when people listen to the conversations we have when people listen to how we flirt and we do this and the whole time we're carrying god and and with the places we take god and the things that we do am i carrying god in vain am i caring god like he really doesn't even exist am i carrying god around like god doesn't make a difference in my life i want y'all to think about that tonight god that's that's heavy martin luther the great reformer was then suffered from depression a lot of preachers struggle with depression real bad and and martin luther was sitting in this room when he he had the blinds pulled down and he hadn't come out for days and he wouldn't eat and all of a sudden his wife went up there tried to get him to eat and she took him play the dinner and she was dressed in a black dress that she had a hat on with a veil pulled down over her face and he said where you going you you going to some fiddle and she said yeah and uh he said well whose girl is it and she said and she said haven't you heard and he said no who he said she said haven't you heard god god is dead and when he said that he jumped up he says woman that's blasphemous i will have no wife of mine speaking like that you you ought to have your tongue cut out and she looked at him and she said i said but you live like how many people tonight are caring god are living every day like god really doesn't exist we get mad when atheists and other folks say there's no god but how does god feel when we live like there's no god when we're walking around every day and we don't pursue holiness we don't love one another we talk about one another we gossip against one another the ark was associated with his name that was the whole thing that i showed you and i'm through in second samuel chapter number six and verse number two listen that's the whole thing his name his name his name it says it he says and the people arose and went with all the people who were with him from belle judah to carry up from there the ark of god which is called by the name of the lord tonight you're you're called by his name you're not just jennifer you're not just venetia you're not just james you're not just miss howard you bear his name the moment you get you got saved your name his name was stamped on you that's why we're baptized because we go down in the water that's the oh you've been done away with when you come up and we baptize you in the name of jesus christ because you bear his name and then we gotta watch how you carry his name oozer died because he wasn't carrying his name right how are you carrying his name around your kids around your spouse think about it tonight before you go how have you done today in carrying his name have i carried his name in vain has it been empty has it been useless have i carried his name like he really doesn't matter before we pray tonight there's one last scripture he has to be carried on my shoulder i have to shoulder the responsibility i've got to take responsibility of carrying his name and carrying it properly everybody who's on here tonight go to acts 19 and verse number 13. i pray everybody the lord led you back to where we are i appreciate reggie and um thank you for being able to come back and get the rest of this this is is so powerful it's life-changing i'm thinking about how i carried his name me and bishop uh noel jones was talking last night he said kevin i'm telling you one thing he said for the rest of the time i got here on earth he said every sermon that the lord allows me to preach i'm gonna preach jesus the rest of the way and i said what does that mean bishop and he says i've been preaching he says but uh and i preached jesus he said i'm going with a mean focus every time i preach i'm i'm making sure that the people see jesus and that's my focus that's my focus i want to carry him correctly i want to carry him on my shoulders that everybody can see not me but that they might see him look at acts 19 and we're praying i love you all thank you so much from the bottom of my heart acts 19 and verse number 13. this is good and a good way for us to end acts 19 verse 13 then some of the jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the lord jesus am i not carrying his name right over those who had evil spirits saying i adjure you by the jesus whom paul proclaims seven sons of the jewish high priest named steva were doing this but the evil spirit answered them jesus i know and paul i recognize who are you and the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them mastered all of them and overpowered them so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded and this became known to all the residents of ephesus both jews and greece and fear fell upon them all and the name of jesus christ was magnified you know what they didn't carry his name correctly you know why because they didn't even know him they didn't have a relationship with him but they thought they were going to use his name like some lucky charm they really wanted to make money off his name and have a side show and i pray for people now in churches i believe in the gifts of the spirit i know there's power i know people who have strong prophetic gifts i know people who cast out devils that's real i know people you have to walk in that type of power and anointing but i know that there's also a bunch of foolishness out there and people just making money and the bible says that they saw paul using the name of jesus and he was performing miracles and they said man you can get rich that way we want to do that and they said we don't use the formula and we're going to use the name of jesus and we're going to go cast us some devils out and let the people pay us some money they went out there and used jesus name and called them devils out and the devil said wait a minute we know something about paul we shall not know jesus but who are you and those devils because they were not carrying the name of the lord correctly it was carrying them in vain they jumped on them stripped them naked beat them and embarrassed them and yet the name of the lord was magnified because the people knew you can't play with the name of god and in this day and time god is letting people know all around the world this is no time to be playing with god i say to somebody tonight this is no time to be walking around hating people and you using the name of god carrying the name of god there's no time to be walking around somebody who you don't you can't stand who you ain't speaking to this is a time where with folk dying left and right you need to forgive everybody you can forgive you need to love everybody that you can love you need to walk as close to god as you ever walked before because i'm telling you these are powerless times that we're living in right now i get i get four or five phone calls every day pastor guess who died can you do this funeral you know they do this from this weekend i'm like who was it this person like him her i'm telling you if you are a christian carry his name right if you bear the name of the lord jesus christ his name is on you you represent him you represent his kingdom people are watching you and make sure you carry his name properly i love you tonight may the god of peace may he protect you may he watch over you may he prosper you may he heal your body may he bring peace to your soul peace to your mind may the god of israel give you shalom peace like never before may he bless you to the third and fourth generation may the god of israel the god of abraham isaac and jacob may that god grieve on you now and give you power give you authority against the forces the principalities the prince of this world the darkness the deception that cometh even now you are victorious you are a champion you are an overcomer and i bless you this night in jesus name i
