resolution is is the awakening to the reality that there has to be some adjustments I need to make in my life in other words I need to change like everybody say change I need to change which is why I believe this message is congruent for everybody because everybody under the sound of my voice and everybody watching online there has been a time in your life where the past present or future where you have desire to change in fact it is the work the massive objective of the Holy Spirit and the evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in my life in your life is spiritual growth and change however however is going to be difficult for you to be sold out and like your comfort zone at the same time here we go it's gonna be difficult for you to hold on to your downward Craven and reach up on your upward calling at the same time that's gonna be difficult save me but don't change me posture is an oxymoron for the believer who is expecting to see God through the miraculous in 2020 all of us have experienced the time of my life where we wanted to change can I get somebody say change some of us have tried to change no we need to change don't think we could change have changed change for good some change for bad change for your spouse change for your singleness changed for your health change for your career change for your ministry all of us would honestly admit that we have strived to change and this is one of the reasons I believe that resolutions are declared is because year after year we keep failing in the areas that we want to change okay y'all ready this is why we strive to preach week after week week after week with biblical accuracy and passion to introduce you to the change technician trying to stay calm some people may know him as the lily of the valley some may know him as the Rose of Sharon others may know him as the Alpha and the Omega the beginning to end the Lion of the tribe of Judah I would like to introduce you to Jesus as a masterful change technician if there's anybody who knows how to change your situation and change your heart is Jesus the reason a lot of us are frustrated with some people is because we keep bearing God wait you're trying to change him but that's not your job the only person the only person who can truly change anybody is Jesus although that is good preaching material I don't want you to misconstrue what I'm saying just because we serve a God who can change your situation doesn't mean he will now we have to talk about this especially as Millennials because what I'm discovering is will we pray and we don't see the manifestation of their prayer we will quit praying and walk away from the faith period and if we keep on having people profit lied to us and tell us it's your season it's your time we won't know how to hel it when it's not a season or our time just because God can change it doesn't mean he's going to change it sometimes God doesn't change it because he's using it to change you thank you for the two golf claps sometimes God doesn't change it because he wants to change the way you see it he wants you to see this isn't an obstacle this is an opportunity so sometimes God puts us in situations and here's another one that we probably haven't considered sometimes God doesn't change it because you prayed for this yeah you pray for God to give you patience I'm gonna give you a situation in a scenario where you have to maximize and learn patience because you would not learn patience if you weren't in the trenches some of us are rebuked and stuff we pray for and gods like you pray for this God wants us to change for our purpose not because of what they post he wants us to change for your purpose not because of what they posted and one of the reasons I think is so hard for my generation to really embrace the season of waiting and the season of process is because we live in a season if you want it now $5.99 for extra shipping if you want it on demand I wanted tomorrow Amazon Prime I could expedite my shipping process but heaven hasn't changed and shipping methodology and so I as a generation we're so used to on it now when it quick I want it now I want it quick push 30 more seconds I want it now it's right through miracle drive-through process by now by now God is not adjusting his methodology due to the culture so I think it's difficult because when you can't say I would like it tomorrow more just pay $5.99 when you can't expedite the process you begin the question they want to put you in process God wants us to change for our purpose not because of what they have peace that surpasses I want you to have peace that surpasses level up surpasses your understanding he doesn't just say I want you to concur he levels it up you are more than a conqueror he doesn't say I just want you to be free he levels it up and says I want you to be free and free indeed because I want us to operate in a level of power and freedom and freedom is not when you're trying to not do it freedom is not when you're struggling with it freedom is not when you kind of keep going back and forth freedom is when you don't want to do it anymore I don't want to get high anymore I don't want to go back to the club anymore I don't want to have sexual partner after sexual partner I know I'm going down your street because you should look at your face true freedom is when I don't even want it anymore and you have to understand to get there it's going to require some necessary adjustments it's gonna take the fight the devil's not gonna let you just walk around in your hole and you're right man without trying to fight you he just lost one and you lost his turf he's coming for a fight he's not gonna let us just grow a service on a Thursday night and advance the kingdom of heaven without trying to stop us is gonna come with a fight it's not gonna help on your marriage is just powerful and your marriage is just oily without a fight the devil is gonna constantly keep trying to fight you but what I'm about to declare do you want tonight cause a praise here up in this house the only problem with that is the fight has been fixed i'ma say it again cuz this I didn't yard somebody say transition y'all like getting to say transition so for us to go from the backyard to the front yard required a necessary adjustment and this adjustment my daughter wasn't feeling it she wasn't liking it and she was letting us know it the only way that she could actually experience this transition if she had to now hold our hand y'all missing it she viewed the hand as limitation she viewed the hand as limitation because in the backyard she was playing freely and how she wanted to with her father she was playing free with her father but because of the transition because of the call on your life because of the blood line cycle that you have to break because of the generational cycle that you have to break because of the ministry that you're called to lead because of the community the community that you're called to lead there must be a necessary adjustment it's necessary it's necessary somebody say it's necessary it's necessary so she's upset over the fact that my father is trying to transition me I think three people got it my father is trying to transition me this proposes an issue and the problematic scenario for the individuals who have felt in love with familiar shallows but you despise unknown depths yeah that this is problematic for those who have gotten comfortable because listen you will never see the adjustment as necessary as long as you love the backyard as long as you love the backyard it's not necessary if you can stop cussing people out don't come for your scalp your hedges maybe in your eyebrows as long as you love the place that's comfortable as long as you take residents in an atmosphere that doesn't challenge you to be greater as long as you have friends that entertain your downfall as long as you despise correction you'll never know the unknown depths and I'm trying to transition her because really the place I'm gonna take her has more stuff for her to see it's actually bigger it's actually better you thought see this is the problem a lot of us get stuck on the god of the backyard but when he tries to take you to the god of the front yard you don't want that because the god of the front y'all requires for some stuff to change I'm losing my whole a men's section Herbert I'm losing all my claps trying to expose her and I think one of the issues with the church is there's so much talk about seeing the hand of God but not enough talk about when he makes you hold it yeah yeah when you have to hold on to your faith because faith sometimes it's not just what you believe but how long can you believe it because there's really not a standard if you're not willing to suffer for it sometimes God puts us in a place where I'm trying to transition you you said you want all these new things this year I want them to but are you willing to make the necessary adjustments see now look you can tell when you're dealing with a baby because they always view the hand it's preventative versus protective if you're a leader you could always tell when you're dealing with a babe because they always view the hand the accountability the correction man is getting quiet they always use the head they always do the hand as preventive versus protective offended miss is heightened when you don't like correction and there's a problem there's a problem when correction offends you but sin doesn't every now and again we have to realize the guy says okay this adjustment is necessary this adjustment is necessary the adjustment with your diet that's necessary the adjustment with your budget that's necessary the adjustable how much you watch TV don't tell me you can't finish a Bible reading plan you watch all every season the power and you wonder where is your power don't tell me don't tell me that you can't finish a Bible reading plan but you just finish the whole series on Netflix yeah we need some necessary adjustments maybe the reason you keep entertaining counterfeit after counterfeit is because your preference keeps making you fall we have to change your adjustments have to make some necessary adjustments there's some stuff in your life that I have to adjust not because I'm punishing you but it's because I'm trying to transition you somebody say transition when every now and again you need a word to come down your road that will come in your face and get in your business and let you know you've been called for this God has more for you than this it's not gonna be easy but I'm not looking for those who weren't easy I want to know are you willing to make the necessary adjustments somebody say it's necessary so there's this statement that I want to stick to our mind on tonight and we just said it but I want you to say it as loud as you can say it's necessary one more time say it's necessary say it again so hell can hear you say it's necessary it's necessary it's necessary it's necessary it's necessary it's necessary change what my body is necessary because my body is a temple not a hotel it's necessary it's necessary it's necessary my body was not made for fornication it was not made for same sex sin it was not made for adultery getting tipsy or sipping on gin and juice but it was made to carry the kingdom of heaven it was made to house the Holy Ghost it was made to be the transportation of system of God's glory to the earth I have a declaration on tonight and that declaration is this necessary it's necessary it's necessary it's necessary mine renewal is necessary because I don't want to continue to speak about a reality that I've never walked in some of us know so many scriptures but we never walked in it and I never want to be a preacher who's great at delivering the word but I'm poor at the word delivering me it's necessary it's necessary my renewal is necessary I don't have to keep saying Jesus is the Prince of Peace but then need we to have some this is the season and this is the time when my mind will have mental stillness it's necessary no longer will I allow my mind to be a merry-go-round circling around after negativity and what if and what if that this will be the year mental soundless this will be the mid year of mental regulation and I will war against the chaos it's necessary my mind is my spiritual locomotive and I have branded Colossians 3 verse 2 as the fraternity of my meditations I will focus on those things which are above and not those things which are beneath and I have to make sure I'm not orbiting around toxic mindsets toxic mind says please listen you know why some people don't like to see you grow because when you grow and when you evolve it removes what y'all had in common it removes when y'all had in common see a lot of the stuff that we're calling compatibility is really shared dysfunction preached flowers it's just shared dysfunction we just know he said that we just get along so good I ain't never met nobody like her and I never met nobody like him this is just shared dysfunction the only thing that y'all have in common is the level that y'all are at so maybe they're not a hater it's just they like to bound you better because when you grow and when you evolve I can't relate to you anymore I can't relate the crazy thing is see when our friends when our friends are slave our slaves we question leaving the plantation because we think many times loyalty is me staying but sometimes being loyal is bondage because they keep saying you acting like you forgot what you came from you changed I didn't I didn't forget where I came from I just refused to live where we met I'm reaching up in here see when you know who you are and you know your Worth and you know what you bring to the table you're not scared to eat alone I know I got good cooking I know I got good food it's from the table and somebody else's presence gives you significance that cause us for you to compromise it's necessary it's necessary enough with the lies I'm not good enough and I don't know if God could use me and I made this mistake yes she made a mistake I've made a mistake but you're not the mistake true haters never tell you the whole story the devil knows the Bible right the devil knows the Bible right so I began to think this means that he knows he's a defeated foe he knows that he's the father of lies he's know that you have been given the power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the works of the enemy and nothing by any means shall harm you he knows this but if you could be so kind of what the culture says he can lie to you and leave out the rest of the story somebody say it's necessary many times I think we know what we want but we don't know what it takes see if we truly want God to order our steps we must surrender our feet but you hear what I just said if we truly want God to order our steps we must have surrendered feet but here's the thing you can't have a surrendered feet without a disciplined mind as a man thinketh so is he and your life is constructed by how you think what a change keep all struggling with changing I'm getting ahead of myself because you cannot move forward and consume familiar at the same time next week we're starting a series called appetites right appetites and God really has been dealing with me about this because I'm I'm learning the place you arrived at is due to what you crave it's due to what you crave craving ignites pursuits you know it you ever been in your bed and you started thinking about that ice cream in the refrigerator that craving ignited a pursuit all throughout the Bible in fact Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst what is that veccio appetite blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled Jesus is saying I want them to hunger and thirst after me I want them to crave godliness and if we don't allow God to address our appetite if we don't allow God to detox us from the taste buds of Egypt you'll never consume promiseland produce no matter how many resolutions you said no matter how bad you want it the reason we keep going back and forth because our appetite that's why you struggle that's why you crying slap them crying have remorse but not repentance I want to do it I want to do it let's focus on that appetite let's focus on what we like because if we be honest truthfully cravings are always tied to what we've been exposed to and what for you to walk in that's gonna take some adjustments okay so now look at this this is the same man so that he lies ahead on when he was calling down fire from heaven same mantle same mantle everybody say mantle this is the same mantle Elijah was such a bad dude that he said it's not gonna rain until I say it's gonna rain and didn't rain you try that the same mantle than when he said I heard the sound of abundance of rain because he pray for it this is the same man fire and water so you know what this let me realize Herbert when you have a mantel on your life it's gonna come with some fire yeah there's some stuff God has to burn out of you I know you want to preach with fire but I have to have you on fire I want you burn it for me so much that people around you only got two options they either go and catch on fire with you and you're gonna burn them away but this fire is not going to go out there's a fire with your assignment it's a fire and then the water we know that all day is a so Elijah didn't stop here and wait for him to recognize that his season have shifted he didn't stop here and wait and say hey I hope you get it I hope you understand it he kept on going and kept on walking and the reason he had to run is because he's not waiting on you I wonder how many of us are missing opportunities because you have too much time that you're trying to negotiate with God let's really an invitation come pray stopped he stopped a lot of us you know what your adjustment is stop the reason we can't stop it's cuz we're talking on next week cuz you crave it what do you do when you like what's killing you softly it's too real yeah it is yeah you like that mm-hmm you like the way it makes you feel you'd like it you like the attention so you throw the pity parties not just because you're in a pitiful state because you like what it brings to you you'd like to argue you're not looking for answers you looking for arguments and until God addresses that appetite until he addresses us craving it we can never change from it if you Bible be transformed by the wood renewing of your mind so yeah I know you need to change but it's not gonna happen until we change up here when you follow me I'm gonna affect your relationships Jesus saying cool being a side chick he's not when I come into your life everything changes everything and the reason a lot of us won't fully cement surrender is because we know if I surrendered to God I got it ended with my babe god I gotta India with my bottle got it with my porn I have to end it because Jesus is not cool what you have inside chicks and this is one of the consequences of coming to Christ he's gonna affect every relationship you have every single one of them the ones that were your day was now they start talking about you and bad-mouthing you and you didn't do nothing but accept Jesus do you understand that Jesus is problematic for those who haven't accepted him everything of the Gospel message is offensive he live a life of sin God doesn't want that so he sent the son to die for us and in him we can have life for life more abundantly and that's the life we could have so I live a life that glorifies him not glorify as we that's the face of the people because they begin to say you try to change the way I live I'm not it's just who I live for who I live for and the purpose of my life and what gives me substance and what gives me value requires me to change everything about my life and in that moment Elijah recognized if I'm gonna walk in my calling I gotta end this relationship and I wonder how many of us God has been beckoning you and pleading you to engage in a calling but it requires a break up somebody say it's necessary last point and I'm done remove remove Plan B yeah remove Plan B see he he burned up the stuff and gave it away so in his mind I don't have them to fall back on I'm going all the way no plan B this don't work you just don't work how many backup plans do you have for snooze and interrupting your prayer time it's necessary I want you to go forward but have you fallen in love with the backyard until I can change your appetite and you recognize that the adjustment is necessary you'll stay in the wilderness and circle around the same mountain same issue same problem same struggle same bitterness here after year after year after year and you begin to question God like why haven't you intervened and why haven't you taken this away and God said I want you I want to change I want to order your feet but you gotta surrender you have to surrender I want to order your steps but you have to surrender your feet as we lost this I want you to be reminded I know you have all your resolutions and that's great but just remember when they get hard when this relationship must end what I have to let this go it's worth it because the god that was with me in the backyard as the same time that's gonna be with me in the stream close with this I saw something I never saw before studying as I was study I noticed that the three Hebrew boys the Bible never says that they saw the fourth men in the fire with them this stunned me the guards the King Nebuchadnezzar saw it so then I was like man I wanna do this God allow us to go in the fire so that other people could see him the reason you know he's with you is because you're still saying in the membrane and you haven't lost your peace and your now burning up and you gonna come out without smelling like slow but sometimes God has to use you to show them so God we thank you on tonight we thank you on tonight for the word that went forth and God help us to evaluate anything in our life that has to change let us change it god if our feet are surrendered help us to surrender our feet God change our appetite because we don't want to circle the same mountain here after year and week after week god if we don't change 2019 and 2020 we'll be twins and we don't want to live the same way God we won a large fourth in our destiny just like he lies everything had to change once that mantel came on him and I pray father God that after hearing this word everything will change the desires will begin to change passions will begin to change cravings will begin to change God because we recognized I was in vain for just the backyard I was made to give you glory and it's necessary whatever I have to do so that she could be magnified I'm gonna do it God I need your grace and I need you anointing because there's so much in me that is all for your glory Jesus name if you agree with their forever just shout
